Great service, great food!

Went to Griffis sculpture park. Asked Google about restaurants near me. Great fish fry, great service.

Went there with an old friend the other day, everyone is close knit and friendly.

Food is great and so is the service. Fun place on a Sunday afternoon

A very popular place for Bikers and locals. In the summer they often have live music out in the lawn behind the tavern. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating. People bring chairs and they have picnic potable around. Service is usually good considering they are typically mobbed. Friendly vibe.

The food, service, and variety of beer and drinks are all great, but the best thing about this treasure hidden in the hills is the atmosphere and the people. Spend an afternoon outside on the deck listening to live music and stroll around the grounds to enjoy the river and the occasional horserider coming in for a rest. Cannot be beat. The drive along the river to get there is also full of fantastic views and eagles. Go!

All their food is good , absolutely love the pretzel crusted fish fry with ground mustard.

We enjoyed our visit, staff and patrons were very friendly. Good selection of bottles and canned beers. We will be back!

stopped in there for a Beer, ended up having some of the best New England Clam Chowder I have ever tasted outside of Cape Cod, the view is spectacular, the service and the Good Old American atmosphere is nice and charming, Plus you can go out to the river and fish for Steelhead, the road leads right down to the Cat.

Love coming here on the way home from Ellicottville. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. We usually go on Sunday and their daily specials during the week are pretty cool! If we lived closer I feel we'd be regulars.

If you haven't been to Zoar Valley Tavern's KenDUCKY Derby, mark your calendar for next year and buy your Tavern issued rubber ducky a month in advance! Live music, great service, fun afternoon! Shout out to Brooke - one of the best waitresses we've ever had! Prior to all rubber ducks being released at the same time, everyone takes a brief walk on a path through the woods until you get to a designated spot along the river. All money from the sale of the ducks ($5/duck) is used as prize money for the first three places. Afterwards you can go inside and watch the Kentucky Derby on TV. Relax, resume some normalcy (Covid), and revisit your old childhood memories of a rubber ducky in water!

This is a hidden gem. If you ride this is a must stop for a watering hole. They have live music outside in the summer and the people are great.

Lots of memories formed here for the past fifty years even tho owners have changed a few times. Food is vastly improved with many menu items. Five of us ordered different items and all came out hot and very good. Waitress was pleasant and efficient. Covid policy was being followed by all observed during our visit. Limited seating at the bar however, many tables in AND outside. Easy parking. Would definitely go there again. I had been told that during a good snowmobile season that it is rather crowded. Inside fireplace keeps you toasty.

Off the beaten path but not to far! The bartenders are great and real pros. Bar food that exceeds your expectations of bar food by a longshot. This place gets busy on certain special nights but it's never a wait for service. Thier specials are all a great value and quality! Try thier very own Buffalo bread. Best "local" bar around. Worth the drive from anywhere!

Well, I never got to try the food, but I am presuming it is 5 stars. I am only doing a review to alert anyone else who may visit that it is cash only, with an ATM machine (for debit cards only I guess, it did not accept my credit card). I drove an hour to try the place, I only wish one of the last 20+ reviews had mentioned the cash part. It was a bummer ride home. Maybe next year....oh well. The place was nice and the bar lady welcomed us.

Food and the atmosphere is great, however they don't take debit or credit which was very inconvenient when their little bank machine wouldn't accept our Canadian cards. Owner happily accepted Canadian cash as a last resort.

The atmosphere is perfect.The food is usually pretty good. I would give it five stars but sometimes the service can be lacking. Attention to detail is something they could improve on .. however, it's such a great relaxing place to go to if you want to be in the woods near a creek! After you eat go down to the creek and take in the scenery and the refreshing water! If you're on the fence about going I would go!!!

We pulled our kayaks out of the creek right below the restaurant, so stopped for lunch after. The fries were really yummy, but my wrap came ripped and all the fillings fell out. Overall, it was a good lunch for the location!

1st time here. Always heard good reviews about the place. Four Star only because of the roads leading up to the bar. Be careful when riding your motorcycle through the area. Narrow, bumpy and hilly. Food was very good as well as service. Worth the slow ride up. Just be careful.

I frequent this out-of-the-way Bar/Restaurant usually on Thursdays for their wing special and live music by Bob Muhlbauer. Any day is good, however, since I consider the food to be among the best served at Springville, NY Area Restaurants. Specials are offered on weekdays, but I have never had a plate here I didn't like. Prices are moderate but well worth it considering the quality of the delicious food served here. The servers vary, but we have never had any major issues. Most are friendly and proficient. The interior & decor are that of a dark 'cozy' bar with a fireplace lit in winter. There is a great deck in the back to dine on in good weather. There isn't any Wi-Fi here, however, there is live music on certain nights. There aren't any takeout menus, but takeout is available. You would just have to look on their Facebook site to order.

Great place to relax and listen to band

Zoar Valley Tavern is full of locals every day. Sometimes it gets a little congested at the bar. If you go on wing night, go early so you can get a seat.

This restaurant usually has the best fish fry any where. We decided we wanted to go earlier to avoid the crowds. Do not go to early as the fryers don't seem to be up to temperature. The French fry's were very good but the fish was barely warm. I think they fried the fish first and then it sat out while the fries were done. Highly unusual for this fantastic tavern..Next time we will go after 4:00 P.M.

I doubt I will be back. 11 of went there and learned that they were cash only. Not bad until we were told one bill per table. So we needed a freaking accountant to figure out the tab. The food was okay-ish. Some were done eating before others were served. And one chicken sandwich came as a salad with chicken on it. Boo on you ZVT

Upon arrival, we signed in and waited a good 30 minutes even though there were several empty tables. They were about to run out of fish at 7:20pm. The fish fry was nothing special. It was overcooked/dry while the french fries were cold and under cooked. We ordered 2 soups, and they only had enough for one. The restaurant is cash only. Best part was our server. One and done for me.

I was thrown out in the rain. So I cannot tell you much about the restaurant,but I can tell you that the bartender on Wednesday is a mean and unreasonable person. She had no problem ejecting a 75 yr old 5 foot tall woman and her service dog, a 7.2 lb Maltese out of the bar. Yes. The dog is legal - Registered, tagged, leashed and even has a card to scan or copy. During the altercation that ensued, Alex, my dog had no comment. He behaved as usual. Perfectly.

DOES NOT ACCEPT CARDS EVEN THOUGH THE WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR GOOGLE LISTING SAYS THEY ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. The waitress said they have never accepted cards. I tried showing her that the website says they do but she is one of those types of people who can never admit to being wrong about anything. After showing her the website listed in their Google listing says they accept cards she actually said that the website has nothing to do with them... Uhm ok sweetie. It has been over a month and they still haven't updated the listing to say cash only. Wings were ok. Beer was wet. Service was meh. ATM will charge you $6.00 to get cash out.
