I absolutely loved their personal size pizza. New York style, just like I like it. Plus the food got done pretty quick. My friend and I did not wait long. Also, they brought the food out to us instead of screaming a number and having us come get it. I liked that too.

All the subs were absolutely delicious. Especially the steak sub!! I grew up in this area and I'm back visiting and I just couldn't be happier to run across John and Mary's 🤗 just like I remember delicious!!!

Great place to eat and they have a very large menue that is reasonably priced. Never had a bad meal in the place. Mouth watering pizza, chicken parm sandwiches, and the A-bomb has a nice light heat to it. Once you're done with your meal you need to stay for some hard scoped ice cream! Many flavors to choose from!

Pizza was really good, crust was similar papa john's style except it wasn't tasteless. Pepperoni and cheese were good but the sausage was a bit cheap. Wings were pretty good too. Overall really pleased with the visit.

This was my first time here. My girlfriend and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Place wasn’t too busy. She got the Taco Salad and I got the Honey Mustard Chicken Fingers. Huge portions!!! Very good.

Food was absolutely delicious. I think that’s the best Tuna sub I ever ate. I requested my bun to be toasted extra and it was cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly as well, give this place your business! It’s reasonably priced and the food comes out quick.

This place has been around forever and still has the best sausage sub around. But my favorite is the fried bologna. Love what you have done to the dining room too. The fence around the parking lot really ties the place together does it not? Keep up the good work.

Visiting from out of town and my buddy brought me here. Great Italian sausage sub with pretty tasty bread. Pretty filling and a great value! Fried zucchini hit the spot as well.

Not only did they tell me the best way to go, but they brought my order right to me!! I will continue to go here and recommend everyone to try it!

I recently ordered a few sheet pizzas for a party. While the customer service was good and our order was accurate, the pizzas were extremely pale and needed to be cooked longer. I was a little embarrassed serving it to our guests.

UPDATE: Thank you, Team John and Mary's for owning the issue and making it right with us. We sincerely appreciate the follow-up. -- Please re-train your manager who was working on 5/8/23 at 7pm. My mom called to inquire about a receipt after spending over $60 on an order only to be told in the most abrupt and rude tone that she should have asked for it when the driver delivered the pizza. My mom, confused and a little flustered said "You guys are supposed to provide a receipt for any sale over $10. It's the law." to which the manager replied "You need to ask for it. We don't do that unless you ask." Of course at this point my mom was calling because the driver had already left and she didn't notice the missing receipt right away. It was frustrating to hear this manager respond in such an aggressive tone to my mother, so I suggested in the background that maybe the driver could turn around and bring the receipt, to which I could clearly hear the manager say angrily "I'm not having my driver bring back a receipt. You can come here and pick it up." I'm not sure why the staff here expected a customer to be the expert on their policies without explaining them beforehand, and then on top of it rudely reprimanded her over the phone for not knowing, but I do know that for $60+ we can do better elsewhere.

Good food! Sub could have had a little more meet on it but overall a good meal.

It's a casual family restaurant serving buffalo style pizza, wings, subs, burgers, wraps, salads, tacos, fried foods, milkshakes, etc. You seat yourself indoors or outdoors, it has an indoor window where you order and another window where you pick up your food and you fill your own fountain drinks which my son loves. He also loves the traditional ice cream display case where you choose which flavor(s) you want, then you get to watch the employee scoop them it up and plop it into your cone or dish. Good food, decent prices, quick and friendly service, optional outdoor seating, very clean & well kept. It's been a family and wallet friendly, quick service staple in the heart of the Village of Hamburg, for as long as I can remember (1990ish) but probably much longer.

Was always a favorite years ago , and has been awhile since I had their pizza , seems the crust changed , the quality of the cheese didnt seem thesame and not much sauce.

Food is okay. I had the apple salad and half the ingredients were missing. Mangy lettuce on top of my sub and they up charged lettuce and tomato on one of my subs before. I did enjoy their soups and grilled cheese sandwich.

It's not super often we eat here but each time we do I remember why that is. Let me be clear there is nothing wrong with them. They are OK and there in lies my issue. Ok doesn't cut it in today's world, at least for me.

Very packed in at tables. My pizza sub was not to my liking. Sauce not good and just not that good. Employees nice. Like that this business has been here for so very long and in the past have enjoyed pretty much everything else.

This is a difficult review because these guys have good food, good variety, really nice delivery people...However...Tonight was the second time in the last month that I placed a delivery order and it took a horribly long time to arrive (if it did). The first time, I called when it was going on 2 hours, and I had to pick it up myself or wait another hour, and now today, I ordered, and it took an hour and a half. No call to say they'd be later than normal, no apologies, nothing until I called back to say my whole order was wrong. The manager handled it well- Im sure I was less than pleasant- I wont be ordering there unless I plan to pick it up myself from now on, but otherwise I'd totally recommend them.

Normally I enjoy the food here and get the chicken fingers. This time that I ordered them , they were not crispy and soaked in grease. I put a photo in the photo section. Unfortunately disappointed this time.

Ham sub had but one slice of ham. Steak hoagie was dry, not very good. Both subs were disappointing. We won't be back.

I normally love John & Mary's. This visit I chose to order the broccoli cheese calzone, the cheese wasn't melted inside, and the bred was still raw inside. I was in a rush, so ended up continuing to cook it at home and it was good. My lunch mate had my regular a-bomb hoagie and it was delicious.

We have been there a number of timea prior to remod and loved their pizza.. Just ate there - wings and pizza special. Pizza was way over done, and literally look and tasted like it spent a long time in the per- slice oven on the counter, and they pulled it out and served it to us when we got therr.. Cheese was stiff and overcooked - not soft not stringy, and sauce was very dry.. Wings were good, but drumsticks all had the big hard crunchy ends on them-the ones you cant eat and have to spit out on the plate..not a big deal, but if i didnt know any better, they hand picked all the bad wings in the bag-the ones that had broken bones and the drum sticks with the nodules all over the end.. Pretty sad because we always made it a point to to eat here whenever we came to town..

The menu was misleading from what they actually would make and put on your plate. I ordered the half pound Angus burger with onion rings and chips. The beef was not Angus but rather a Select Grade and the onion rings were soggy and the chips were loaded with extra salt. My wife had the steak Hoagie with onions and peppers which tasted like a knockoff version of steakums charged an extra dollar for three jalapenos and misled us about their drinks selection. If you're in the area and looking for a good place to eat that's both satisfying and affordable this is not it.. You just the same service and quality going through fast food drive thru I recommend for the same amount of money Burger King. At least at Burger King you get what you pay for.

Usually the pizza from here is very good, with ample cheese. So I’m not sure if this was just a fluke, but we ordered a pizza with sausage, banana peppers, onions , mushrooms and green peppers. The crust was very thin, and there was almost no sauce on it. Hardly any cheese, as well. Kinda disappointed. Never had bad pizza from there before, so idk if they’re trying to save money due to the cost of supplies now? But probably won’t go back next time , unfortunately. There are many pizza places in Hamburg , so will go to another one next time. We ve been getting pizza from here since the 89’s, and have never been disappointed in the past….

Staff was friendly but food was gross....the pizza wasn't fully cooked.....soggy.....way to much cheese.....sauce wasn't fresh tasted like it was from a can......$65 spent I wished the food was good for the money that was spent. 7-11 pizza taste way better.. We won't be going back

Good Pizza, however after ordering 4 times online, with no issue, we got a phone call stating they won't deliver to us anymore because we are more than 5 miles?! I typed in our address to get the exact mileage, it is 6.2 miles away! Kind of ridiculous, and why on earth wouldn't someone tell us on one of the previous times we've ordered? Here's an idea, why not make sure your ways to order online don't allow you to place an order for delivery if we are out of your silly 5 mile radius, and really what's another mile? We won't be ordering from here again.

The last few times I got delivery from them it took FOREVERRRR. I called them to ask where my food was 45 minutes after I ordered and was told my food is sitting there but the delivery guy was out on other delivery. So I call back 35 minutes later knowing my food was just sitting there getting soggy( ordered a taco salad) and was told delivery guy just left. At that point I canceled my order not wanting soggy food. When I first called to place the order I asked how long of a wait and was told within the hour I would have my food. When I cancelled I got no apology no sorry for the delay no nothing just a "you're all set". I used to order from them all the time and tried to support them during covid. I will not be any longer. Seems to be a bunch of teenagers who dont care about customer service just there for their paycheck.

The food was ok. The tables are so small we couldnt fit the pizza on it and our plates. They should have those risers that the pizza can go on. The plates were styrofoam so when I cut the pizza up for my 1 yr old the plate would cut too. It was shredded. Honestly I probably wouldn't have bothered complaining about these things but their people were flat out rude. I asked for a cup with a lid so my 1 yr old could have water and not spill all over. They refused unless I paid for pop. We already bought 3 other pops , a pizza, and a sub. Why do you need me to pay for a disposable cup with a lid? The only person wihout pop was my 1 year old. I pored out my pop and used my cup for water. I went without a drink after spending about $50.00. I won't return. Everything was akward.

It's great as long as you are okay with at least 1 thing in your order incorrect and it taking 2 hours for delivery. This happens EVERY time we order too so it is not a fluke. We live only 3 miles away but it still takes at least 2 hours for delivery on a weeknight!

We got take out from John and Mary's tonight and the friend pickles were OK, but the dinner salad had nothing but onions and the sandwich sliced tomato. The fish sandwich had no flavor and was very thin and my royal sub was cold, not toasted and the sausage tasted bad and the Capicola was tasteless. The only good thing was the fried pickles because they came that way. Totally dissatisfied!

Not sure what happened here, but the service is not at all tolerable. Ordered a pizza at 5:15pm, arrived at 5:45pm. Only one couple sitting at a table. As of 6:15pm, our single pizza isn’t ready yet. There is a group of people waiting for food, and about 4 people standing around in the kitchen. The quality of the pizza isn’t ideal either.

Chocolate milkshakes were the consistency of water. Very little taste and quite foamy texture. Not palatable. Calzones were not that great. Loaded with cheese but very little flavor and very pale in color. The red sauce was very bland. Very expensive for something I didn't really like. Waste of money, stick to the subs. Wouldn't recommend to a friend nor go back ever

I usually dont have issues with this restaurant but I ordered my food for a 6pm delivery it is almost 30 mins late completely unaceptable also the manager on duty or whoever answered the phone was very rude and had a chip on her shoulder or something

I ran in to use the restroom before figuring out if I wanted to order or not. No paying customers only sign. So I leave to let my buddy know we're eating there and on my way out they say "next time enjoy our food before you use the bathroom" alright rude. That's my new stop for the bathroom Everytime I go to hamburg now, I guarantee I won't buy food after that.

Ordered a stinger. Hot. With hot peppers. I recieved what must have been mild. No peppers that I paid extra for. Spinach bread was a bad choice lol I dont even want to Express my feelings on it. Still tipped 5 dollars but I'm officially boycotting this place for the rest of my life fyi steak in the stinger is steak umm.. tasty

Worst subs ever. Years ago this was place but not anymore. The subs rolls were thin and stale, the toppings wilted, the chicken fingers were grisly and my ham with cheese inedible. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Floors are always dirty and the tables are always sticky. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the 10 other pizza places in the village... They are clean and actually have good food.

I ordered spaghetti and meatballs I asked for a little melted cheese on top the guy said let me see if we can do that came back to the call and flat out told me NO. When I asked him why he said because the cheese is for the pizza... Haha ! I asked for the manager and I spoke with Shawna? Shawna was super rude and could careless and rushed me off the phone. I don't consider asking for a little melted cheese on top of my spaghetti to be that big of a hassle I wasn't asking for 4lbs of cheese ! Just a little sprinkle ! Same as if someone asked for ranch with their fries instead of ketchup are you going to say no sorry the ranch is for salads !!??? Ridiculous Terrible customer service ! But that's ok because I called Pegasus and they had no problem giving me a little sprinkled cheese on my spaghetti thanks Pegasus !

My family suffered a sudden tragic loss which led to my family member employed at this place taking three days off after losing their dad. During this tragic time, the owners gave my family member a hard time and ultimately fired my family member within three days via text. Rotten owners that don’t deserve your money. Shame on these people.

I am really disappointed. I ordered from here for me and my family. When I got home the letuce in my wrap was slimey and rotten. I called to let them know and the manager was to busy giving me a snarky additude and hanging up, for me even to get to the other missing items from my order or process a refund. After going here for years the quality has definitely declined.

I used to really like the subs here, after today I won’t even consider going back. Whole Assorted sub consists of 2 slices of ham 2 salami. And 2 cappicola. Less meat than a subway sub and $12. Crazy ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I ordered a personal Hawaiian pizza. They told me they can’t do a personal so we ordered a small. It had about 5 inches of cheese, no sauce. It was disgusting I didn’t even finish it. My boyfriend ordered a steak quesadilla. He said the steak was rubbery and fatty. He had two bites and threw it out. As we were eating that were cleaning up and talking about there personal business. The women at the register didn’t give us an attitude but she did give the guy behind us an attitude because he was standing over by the ice cream and not where she wanted him to stand

Ok I have to update my review because this is absurd. The food is pretty alright most the time and a little pricey for what it is. But after two mess ups I decided to give them another try, needless to say I will not be ordering here anymore. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review on just about anything. The first time I ordered the seafood platter like I have multiple times, I was expecting the nice battered fried fish piece in it but that’s not what I got- it was one of those square pieces of fish you would find in the frozen section of a grocery store. This was incredibly disappointing and the next time I ordered via their online service, I had set the delivery time for 6:30pm and ordered it around 2pm- next thing I knew they were knocking on my door less than an hour later. Finally, I ordered an assorted sub from them and when it arrived there was the thinnest layer of capicola on the sub and no other meat whatsoever, and to make it worse- half the roll was burnt black.

Horrible quality food. Horrible service. The floors are sticky because of how disgustingly dirty it is. The whole joint is run by kids 18 or under. I live in the village so I have been going here for a while and there have been multiple occasions where my food was dangerously under cooked, and they refused to refund me. On a separate occasion I was using an outlet to charge my phone at the booth I was sitting at and who I am assuming is the manager and or owner came out and started screaming at me I front of the entire restaurant because “you aren’t aloud to use the outlets”. (there are no signs or posters warning about this rule) Do NOT risk your health by eating here.

Made an online order on 4-2-22. Ordered hot wings. Got plain wings and raw dough on the pizza. Called to complain and manager Shawna was the rudest person ever. No "sorry", no offer to fix anything. Just rudeness. So I brought the food back. She looked at it and just said "there's sauce" but remade my food anyway. I could clearly hear her swearing at the staff. Pure unprofessional behavior and poor management. She soured me on my usual spot. Time to get pizza from one of the many other options. Never going back until there is a manager change.

Wings were over cooked and super greasy and with rotting carrots on the side. Everytime we order here i have the same experience. Only reason why i go back is cause my daughter enjoys there crummy kraft mac and cheese.

Don't ask for mozzarella cheese, they won't add it to your order. My friend group refers to them as the cheese Nazis. Below average food, we won't be going back because of the low quality ingredients and poor service. Definitely not representing good Buffalo food spend your money elsewhere.

As a frequent paying customer, I was rather disappointed when one of the workers asked me and my group of friends to leave very soon after we finished our food. They claimed we were taking up too much space and were there for too long. We bought our food around 12 and were asked to leave at 12:56. Also, there were no people waiting to sit down, so in no way were we being inconvenient or taking up space. They also accused us of not buying anything, which is also false do to the fact that we had our receipts which included 2 cookies, an ice cream sandwich, a large fry, and a ham sub. We had brought other products in to the restaraunt, one Gatorade and a few Mints. The Lady who escorted us out lectured us for bringing these 2 products in and claiming we were being disrespectful. This experience has made me feel very upset due to the fact that none of the things we did required us to be told to leave and made me very embarrassed while I was being ridiculed and disappointed with their service. This demonstration of poor service will make me think twice before going there again. I would also like to point out that another group who had been there no more than 5 minutes, were also asked to leave for the same reasons as us, this was irrational, because they weren't even given the chance to order.

I always love going to John and Mary’s for subs and wraps, but I will not be going back to the hamburg location ever again! I ordered a turkey club wrap and it cost 8.69. It came full of lettuce with one piece of bacon and two small slices of turkey. (The equivalent of about 1 ounce of meat which isn’t enough meat for any type of wrap or sandwich, especially at that cost!!) The whole turkey bacon sub cost 9.69 and is loaded with meat!! The description for the wrap states that it’s filled with turkey and bacon! I would assume you’d get just as much meat on the wrap that you do on the sub with those similar prices!!! Plus I asked for a side of mayo instead of ranch but still received the ranch. I’ll take my business to another John and Mary’s that doesn’t make me pay sub prices for just lettuce.

Worst food I've ever had, rude employees can't even greet u when u walk in gotta stand there to try to get there attention and they come off as they don't wanna do anything. You call and tell them wats wrong with ur food and u get attitude from them!!!! Will never step foot back in that location!!!

This place is Horrible !!on Service !!!waited over an hour for 5 chicken fingers and a turkey sub, I went up after 30 mins they said 5 more minutes. I went back at 55 minutes they said 5 more minuets.. Finally after one hour and twenty minutes we got our food... Dont bother if you got things to do.. 👎👎👎👎

Service was horrible. Took forever for simple tasks like giving me my drink and my slice. Slice was cold, I was denied my blue cheese I was promised it by another worker. One of the people working on the fryers was touching all the chicken fingers without gloves and I received a negative attitude from 1 of the counter girls and a middle aged woman I would assume is the manager. I have been coming here for years but today was my last visit.

What happened to this place? $15.00 for a horrible steak sub... This place really went downhill in quality. Horrible service from miserable employees not to mention the woman on the grill has no clue how to cook steak. It's just gross. . Never again.

Horrible experience tonight. Unfortunately the manager on duty was belligerent and non accommodating. Placed a delivery order at 6:04. It arrived at 7:45. We understand it gets busy, however ALL of the food arrived cold/room temperature. When this was brought up, via a phone call, manager was confrontational and was rude. I simply said food was cold and was told “ I highly doubt it”. I was respectful and yet she was not. Will not be either ordering again or recommending to anyone soon. Hope it’s worth it for them. Was so looking forward to a great meal, as we’ve ordered from there before. Sadly, no more. I hope the manager is happy that she stood her ground. Food is still cold.

Threatened via a piece of paper taped to my window to have my car ticketed for being parked in the parking lot despite spending $40 on dinner an hour beforehand. The lot is never full anyway, maybe don't threaten the few customers they have.

Their pizza is very good. However, on my last visit there, the 1 big gal behind the counter proceeded to lift the slices of pizza from the carousel with her bare hands after she touched her greasy hair! I made them aware that I didnt want those slices that she touched with her bare hands and made them make up a fresh pizza for me while wearing gloves. The pizza slices that were touched with bare hands were left in a take-home box on the carousel instead of being thrown out. It was disgusting. I reported them to the Health Dept for unsanitary handling of the foods they were cooking and serving. I did watch them behind the wall that hides the kitchen. 1 lady buttered bread while holding the bread in her bare hands and against her disgusting sweatshirt. So why is the wall hiding the kitchen? What do they have to hide from the public? Not going back ever again. They dont even wear hairnets while cooking foods, let alone, gloves. Yuck.

If there was a zero I would have given it a zero. Place is filthy. Ordered clam strips, I pretty much got a basket of fried batter. Ordered a vanilla milkshake and there wasn’t any vanilla flavoring or syrup in it. . Milk and ice cream. My first and last trip all in the same day.

Ordered a pizza sub and no one said they only had pizza hogies. Get home and there is no cheese just slabs of of sauce and about 12 prices of big pepperoni. Call the not once but twice and the women was rude, yelling at me said she made it and has worked there for 20 yrs. We'll it's time for a new job cause being rude to customer and yelling is unacceptable and rude.

Cold fries( they were still white), tomatoes on my sub when I asked them to not give me tomatoes, sub was cold, which was a pizza sub . And they ask for a tip before you even get food ! Then we sat and watched the kitchen touching food no gloves, changing trash bag then making a shake no gloves, then going from fried foods to bathroom to clean. Will never go here ever again horrible horrible staff and over priced for it for sure.

On Sunday my mom ordered medium wings for the game. They were covered in oil so she called to complain and was told to call back when a manager was there. She asked me to return them after the game. I asked how we would be compensated and the front girl said she'd get the manager. That's when the fun began. She was rude and short with me. I said I just need to know whose name we would get the credit on. She said rudely, just call. Then she said, "ba bye!" And left to go in back. I got no resolution and was treated terribly. It's a shame, because my family has eaten there for decades, but we will not be back!!

Food is horrible! Place is so dirty, staff is rude owner is unbelievably RUDE! You run an establishment, you should be kind and CLEAN! I wouldn’t eat here again even if the food was free!

Why on earth would you put soggy salad and chicken in a paper container that ended up soggy and falling apart in my salads? Any other time salads come in a plastic container. The chicken was disgusting, covered in a ton of spices. I order 2 times a week from this place but not anymore.

just wanted a slice, the ones in the rotator were clearly from when they opened. asked if they could possibly make a new pizza, got absolutely disrespected by the woman working. decided to still try the pizza, when i got it it was awful. so dry and burnt. the pepperoni was charcoal. and yet, the middle of the pizza had soggy dough. i couldn't chew through the crust it was so hard. had a hard time snapping it with my hands.

One Star - Avoid at All Costs My recent visit to John and Mary's was nothing short of a disaster. We waited over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was clear that the kitchen staff had completely phoned it in. My dish was bland and undercooked, while my companion's meal was overcooked and dry. The service was inattentive, and the overall atmosphere was depressing. Save yourself the time and money – there are far better dining options in town.

Absolutely annoyed with the fact that I have allowed myself to order after missing items multiple times out of my order but this last one was the last time. Missing an entire order of fries and given maybe 5 fries in an order of single fingers. I'm sick of it. Do better for the price you charge this is sickening and ridiculous go ahead and explain to a kid with autism who literally only wanted the fries that they didn't get fries.

More cheese on the subs than turkey! worse sub I have ever experienced. Is a joke of a sandwich…. Will not be coming again… stay away unless you’re looking for a meal of bread and mayo
