We stopped in for a quick cocktail on a recent visit to Edinburgh. The service was great. Lots of different cocktails to choose from. Reasonably priced, too. Great views across The Forth to Fife.

Highly recommend a visit for lunch, very tasty fresh, elegant food. Service was quick, attentive and very friendly. Must visit for the view over Andrew square if visiting Edinburgh for a few days. Great also as a brunch place with excellent drink options.

The Staff were very friendly and the outdoor seatings are amazing, the food was really good especially the french toast (One of the best if not the best french toast in Edinburgh) It is better to reserve a table before going there

Lovely food and excellent service but very hot and uncomfortable temperature in restaurant and very loud music which spoilt atmosphere for us.

Absolutely delicious every time I come. Service is amazing, very attentive. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to come out for lunch. It is always consistently divine.

Visited here a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. 3 course set menu with a cocktail £28. Fantastic value and the food was superb. Cocktails were some of the best we've had in a long time. The picture of the pork belly main dish doesn't do it justice, it was wonderful. Great views across Edinburgh too if the weather is nice. Give it a try, for those prices, you've nothing to lose.

What an amazing gem hidden in plain site. Who would think to pass through a department store to have a delicious meal, excellent drinks and beautiful views of the city. But we did! My lamb was cooked wonderfully and my husband said the same thing about his fish. And the prices are not as I expected: 25 pounds for each of the meals.

Great place to eat and drink. The cocktails here are expertly made and taste amazing. Great outdoor area to sit and watch the world go by on the street below. The bar staff were polite, prompt and well presented. The prices were on par with similar establishments in the area. To get to the bar, walk through the front door and onto the escalators then up to the top floor. Toilets are available for patrons of the bar, dining area and store. To guarantee a seat it's better to book ahead.

Beautiful setting and views, honoured our request for a window seat for my friends special birthday. The lunch menu is great value, tasty and beautifully presented. I'm vegan and the choices were great, the dessert was so beautiful. My meat eating friends loved their choices. They made us feel at home and service was very attentive. They welcomed my baby and pram with no issues.

Such a beautiful place with a terrace that offers an amazing view over the city — you can even spot the sea in the distance. We got there around 4 PM for our reservation, I just wish I had known beforehand that the kitchen closes at 5 PM on Sundays, especially since we arrived a bit later, but the staff were incredibly kind and patient. The food was so tasty and fresh . Overall, it was a lovely experience — great food, warm people, and a view worth coming back for. 🌿✨

Last evening I had the pleasure of partaking of the Valentine's Chef's Tasting Menu. I thought the food was innovative and very well executed. From the Rocket, Lemon and Ginger Shot to the Dark Chocolate, Vanilla and Cherries. It was, without doubt, one of the best meals I've enjoyed in a very long time. Congratulations and thanks to everyone associated with this meal.

Visited Harvey Nicols Leeds 2nd December for dinner with a friend. Food anazing as always but what really stood out was our wonderful server Jenson. He was really attentive and went over and above. Jenson took care of our dietary needs and made sure during courses we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our evening and will be back soon. Ashley was also very helpful with our booking and greeted us upon arrival. Always lovely to be remembered. Leeds is definitely my favourite Harvey Nicols location and it's definitely worth travelling to eat here. See you on my next trip to Leeds.

Stopped by for cocktails before dinner... Cocktails were great and the view over the park was and city/castle skyline was beautiful. Service was a bit lacking and not particularly friendly. Worth visiting though for the views alone.

Had ‘Brunch for One’ at the Harvey Nics Fourth Floor Brasserie and very glad I did! The Avocado & Halloumi Sourdough Toast was honestly one of the best I have eaten (and I may of eaten a few). I had an ‘Emily English’ Collagen Boost smoothie and an Earl Grey Tea too. All delicious and the service was excellent! When in Edinburgh I will definitely go back for more. 🤩

Arrived shortly after opening at 10am and taken to a window table beside the bar. Efficient staff, although not over friendly. Excellent menu with a good selection. Prices reasonable and food was fresh and tasty.

Many many first class visits on my own, with my wife .and/or relations, with friends and with work colleagues over many years since it opened...abfab comes to mind ...it's a wonderful place to be fit drinks or coffee, breakfast or brunch, lunch or afternoon tea or dinner and cocktails without a doubt the best location in Edinburgh for any or all that! Staff are amazing service and atmosphere and food just terrific ....get yourselves in there

Called in for a browse around the clothing on a day trip into Edinburgh and decided to have a cuppa and a cake. Friendly professional staff serving a good choice of teas, coffees and one of the best carrot cakes we have eaten all at surprisingly affordable prices.😁 Lovely ambience and great views over the Edinburgh city skyline......well worth a visit.

Had an anniversary and asked for a table with a nice view, when was booking. We had a table next to a window and received a complimentary dessert with happy anniversary writing on a plate. Was very cute. The service was amazing and the food was very good. Nice cocktails. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely lovely for a special dinner. Excellent food - I think the sauce on the haloumi main won the meal, and the creme brulee was a close second. My only criticism is that everything was quite salty. And not a fan of the French savignon blanc - should have gone the New Zealand one.

The Forth Floor Brasserie is open seven days a week, offering all-day dining. Providing everything from sumptuous lunches and snacks, afternoon tea, coffee and cocktails, as well as seriously good suppers. The Brasserie is flexible, casual and welcoming – the perfect destination for eating and drinking in Edinburgh. Relax while overlooking the Edinburgh skyline and sample drinks from an extensive menu that features an impressive list of wines and Champagnes, including a variety of vintages, as well as our amazing cocktail list. Our bar area is the perfect venue for mid-shop pit-stops as well as more special celebrations.

We have dined here twice in recent weeks, and on both occasions I found the service professional, attentive and generally to a high standard. The bar area has a great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, my Vespar was fantastic. The views from the restaurant are outstanding and the seating comfortable. The soup was delicious and both the lamb dish and cod were cooked to perfection. It was also refreshing to have white wine served at the correct temperature.

The Forth Floor is a delight in the afternoon/early evening around sunset. It has a balcony and great views overlooking St. Andrews Square, and down towards the coast at New Haven. There is a great selection of cocktails and fizz, though prices, as one might expect, can be quite high. Worth a visit for sure.

The brasserie, one of our fav lunch venues in Edinburgh. Top floor with window seat looking out over a festive Edinburgh. Must have glass of champagne 🍾 good lunch choices

Afternoon tea was lovely. Selection of savoury and sweet food was delicious and something a bit different from sandwiches. Unlimited teas and coffees. Service was outstanding, very professional and attentive. Views from the rooftop are of course a huge plus for this venue too.

Great location but in need of a bit of a refurb, the floor is starting to age. Worse thin is they added 11.5% to the bill as a service charge without me noticing, if iI want to tip I will don't trick me into it. Used to be a great place, going down hill a bit but still a nice place to visit.

Great food and and amazing terrace. The summer menu was delicious. The prices are high as expected, for example I wouldn't pay £15 for an aubergine salad but the 3 course summer menu for £28 including cocktails is well priced considering the location and quality. The staff was well paced and things arrived on time. I'm giving 4 stars because the seats outside were uncomfortable. They are wooden small seats with very little back support. Overall, it is a nice location with good food. I would recommend the terrace on a rare sunny day!

M

Lovely spot with great views, the service was really proactive and helped with the decision of what to eat and drink. the only thing that let it down really was the selection of food and the atmosphere which was a bit cold. I probably wouldnt come again if I'm honest.

G
Gerlie Gonzales

Love the view and food. Staff are friendly. It’s just it’s take time to serve the food. We ordered their summer menu, £30 for 3 courses plus a glass of Pelorus wine. Recommend to dine at their terrace. We had a lovely evening/dinner by looking at the sunset.

Great location, good bar food. Burger very reasonable at £15. Hummus starter was delicious, but a bit tight on the flatbread quantity. Will be coming back!

Visited the Chocolate Lounge at Harvey Nichols, staff member was very polite and helpful and food platter was very good .

Always go there for afternoon tea, great options, good price, unlimited tea or coffee. They were very helpful in meeting our dietary requirements, and were quick to make adjustments

The place is amazing, the food is good, a bit expansive tho

I’ve been talking about a cocktail in here since it opened and was so disappointed. Nice service & lovely cocktail but it’s basically just a cafe. Expected much more.

C
Chris Sams

Amazing views of the beautiful city, but oh my god the staff were snooty. Really not nice environment to relax.

Y
Yvo Raveon

Food was amazing but service was awful and the atmosphere is like a M&S cafe. When I asked to take my cheese platter away with me I was told to try and eat a bit more and he'd be back when he could. What? Ok for nice food when you're out but I wouldn't be going there for night out.

A
Alistair Chapman

Nice enough gastropub style food in the brasserie, quite expensive though. Service was ok, waitress forgot to bring a second glass of wine we ordered, but we weren't charged. Ask for a window seat if there are any spare - you get great views over St. Andrews Square.

A
Aliah

The mac and chess tasted good but traditional (7£). The chicken ballotin was ok (11£). It might be more suited for afternoon tea while enjoying the fresh air in this relaxing outdoor space. There are plenty of options for afternoon tea or desserts on the menu.

J
Jeremy Yowell

For a department store bar, the views were solid. Drinks and service were only okay.

J
John H

Great views from the balcony, but service was very slow even though there were around 6 waiting staff lingering around the bar. The cocktails we ordered came relatively quickly, and were okay, but there was very little atmosphere for a Saturday night (the place had around 15 people in it). Not the Forth Floor Brasserie it once was.. Unless everyone was just at the Fringe!

G
Granit Lady

Went for Sunday brunch. Wrong dish served, the substitute contained different ingredients from what was on the menu. Pancakes tasted of bicarbonate soda.. Desserts menu requested, but never arrived. Staff were clearly not interested. Just asked for a bill and left. Such a shame, as a beautiful venue. Could have been so much better, if the owners & staff cared more about the customers.

T
Travelling Tasting

Waitress that greeted us was miserable. Asked her if there were any window seats available in the bar, got a very abrupt "no" she walked off and never came back. Eventually managed to get the attention of a waitress, ordered 2 cocktails which I will say were very nice, then again had to get their attention in order to pay. Wouldn't go back.

My wife and I went here for an afternoon tea. Service was OK We were quizzed a few times about the deal we had, which left a sour taste. However, we had our coffees, nice chat in some comfy seats and waited on our tea. In short, the food was very poor. Salmon was nice, but the wrap was bone dry, along with the rest of the savoury snacks. The scone was also very dry and burnt. Sweets on top.....nah, pure sugar. All in all a massive disappointment. Would not recommend. Would not go back to again.

J
J Duthie

At outset waitress dropped pen on my £195 trousers and marked them with ink. My choice of starter & main not available - small menu surely not difficult to supply. During my lunch I then see multiple main dishes of the supposedly unavailable option being served. My dining partners choice of wine also unavailable. Chips ok, rest of food bland and lacking flavour and seasoning. Sarcastic comment from waitress on departure.
