A perfect restaurant, pleasant to enjoy with family or as a couple, a quiet, comfortable, fun atmosphere. This is not the first time I have visited this restaurant, this time Im celebrate a birthday. You can't miss their bread that they give you complimentary with their special butter made there ( that say there ) I recommend choosing your ribeye if you want to enjoy it to the fullest and order it medium or medium-rare, and i recommend ordering it completely alone. Don't put onion, Don't put mushrooms, the truth is that it takes away the flavor, enjoy it just like that, just the meat and its juices. One of the sides was mashed potatoes, which were quite delicious or baked potato is very good loaded, of course. Don't forget to enjoy a good cold beer. Of course, 805 would be appropriate. Jeje

My husband and I went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time today. We arrived a little after 5 p.m., and we got seated right away. We must've beat the dinner rush. Usually, the wait is much longer. When we got seated, they grabbed a basket of fresh baked rolls with their cinnamon butter. The rolls were so soft and warm. The cinnamon butter was delicious and not overly sweet,which we loved. I ordered a sweet tea, and my husband ordered a strawberry lemonade. Both drinks were so delicious. I ordered the 12 oz new York strip with sautéed mushrooms, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and a Caesar salad. My husband ordered a 13 oz rib eye with grilled shrimp, with a cup of chili and mashed potatoes. We both loved our food. We were both very happy with our meals. This is for sure our new steakhouse. We loved the mashed potatoes because they are chunky potatoes. My husband really loved the Chili. He was happy they had the onions on the side because he likes when the onions don't get too soft. We received a second basket of rolls, we couldn't finish them all so they came home with us. We ordered an apple pie ala mode to go. Our server, Devyn, was very friendly, extremely attentive, and answered any questions we had. We enjoyed the fun atmosphere also. We will for sure come back to Texas Roadhouse again.

Great place for a steak dinner. We sat at the bar and ordered a blossom onion, which was perfectly prepared. Delicious. Although they overcooked my wife's sirloin, they accommodated her and re cooked the steak. Unfortunately, they had to do this twice. They ended up comping our onions and our sides. The girls at the bar could not have been more helpful and friendly. Even though they were extremely busy. We'll be back.

This place was so much fun and the prices were so affordable!!! The bread was soft & Delicious, but the best part of the night was our super accommodating server, Krista! She really went above & beyond to make sure we were happy! Thank you Krista! I will ask for her next time & you should too!

First time at a Texas Roadhouse. I took my daughter at 4:30 on a Wednesday I was shocked at how busy it was at that time of day, or even a Friday night. The place was packed. Pamela was our server, and she was the absolute best server I've seen in years. If you go, ask for her. The food was incredible. Get the fried pickles 😋 Very noisy atmosphere. Stimulus overload.

So your in the mood for a fat juicy steak, Look no further! And the bread is addicting . Are server was so nice and they gave us a free bag of peanuts and a free appetizer for our next visit. Needless to say we'll be returning ASAP

The menu options here are exactly what you'd expect for a casual steakhouse like this; steaks, burgers, ribs, etc. What you won't expect is that you'll find yourself coming back monthly for their 16oz sirloin with onions and mushrooms. There's sometimes a wait at dinner time, especially on the weekend, but the Parkway Plaza Mall is directly next door so you can do a little shopping while you wait for your table. Try the loaded mashed potatoes.

This is my first time to try Texas Roadhouse, it is pretty nice. Firstly, it was very popular on Saturday night. But luckily we got seated immediately at the bar. The drinks are nice quality. The cactus blossom is pretty nice as well. We ordered a 23oz porterhouse steak, it is yummy! The medium rare is perfect cooked. We had a pretty nice experience here, the only thing is the waiters at the bar are so busy, so the service is little slow.

It was my first time there with my family. we enjoyed every minute of it. The wait was very long, but call ahead to reserve. Very cheerful environment very lively and food was great, highly recommend you check it out.🍞🍺🥩🍲🥮

The hour and 5 minutes was well worth the wait. Our server Devon was awesome. The bread, food, and drinks was great. The whole atmosphere was just amazing inviting. Not only did I notice the staff had great team work they also did a little line dancing.

Today I went to eat for lunch and had such amazing service!! Cody was my server and he was so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection, and I got plenty of rolls (my fave). I was so happy to have a great Valentine's Day lunch with quality customer service. Thank you, Texas Roadhouse!!! I'm sorry that for some reason my original review didn't post so I will redo it here as best as possible. This was my first time to this particular restaurant, I had been to one in North County years while doing fundraisers. I took my granddaughter here for her 18th birthday meal and she had a great time. The food was very good, the girl who took care of us was very sweet and when she found out it was her birthday she later got out the saddle and did the whole "Happy Birthday Hoot and Holler" show with my granddaughter who ate it all up and had a great time! Thank you for everything, I ate every thing on my plate, my granddaughter had enough leftovers to last her for a day or two!! We ordered some extra rolls and that cinnamon butter for take home as well. All in all a great time and great meal, thank you!! I wanted something special for her 18th birthday and you delivered!!

It’s very hard to beat the price and quality of steak. It has been my top to go steak place. It is very loud though, you have to almost scream sometimes to talk to the person next to you, but minor compared to how good my experience with how consistently good the food has been.

2026 Update: This location continues to be one of our favorite places for a fantastic meal. Consistently great service and a delicious meal. The steaks are flavorful and always cooked perfectly. The salads are fresh and crisp. 2021: Delicious and prices are great for portions received. The best steaks and their fresh sides make a hearty meal. Melt in your mouth rolls and a good selection of appetizers. Highly recommend.

Went when this first opened up! Did not have to wait more than 15 min due to this. The 2 times after that I have ordered for take out through their app. The atmosphere was fun! Loved our waiter he was cool regardless of our gender/race/look/etc. Each visit we have spent $100 for 2. The Prime Rib and hamburgers are amazing. The Mango margarita is so good!

Tonight was mine and my husband's first time here. This place is AMAZING! Used their app to be put on wait list. Set it up at home and by the time we got there and pressed "Here" they called us in to check in. We were seated within 5 minutes. Lots of people outside waiting. We hand picked our steaks and we sat down. Server Christina, was the best server ever. She was on it! Very friendly and attentive. I had a margarita that was so delicious and my husband had a freezing cold 🍺. We got our food pretty quickly. Omg!!!!! Steaks were beyond delicious! THEE BEST! My hubby couldn't stop commenting on how good they were. Sides paired perfect with the entire meal.( loaded potato, baked potato, sautéed mushrooms and green beans) Would never go back to a 5 star restaurant for a steak again. Our server was really good and attentive... We picked out our steak which was very nice... I got a 24oz Steak which was super yummy. Also their bread roll are excellent and that brown sugar butter 🤤. For a steak house the prices are very reasonable and will definitely come back.

The service and appetizers were on point, however, the mashed potatoes with brown gravy were absolutely inedible. My steak was ordered to be cooked med. rare but I received a well done steak. The hour and a half wait for a Friday night wasn't too terrible. I would definitely suggest going to their website to check in from there on your way so your place will be held as they do not take reservations.

Great service and friendly staff. Menu had selections to appeal to everyone. I had filet which was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The baked potato was fantastic and served with butter, sour cream, bacon and cheese. I had a side of green bean that were prepared with just the right amount of bacon. The cactus flower (?) Onion appetizer was super and seasoned to perfection. The staff does a line dance in the aisles every few minutes. That was quite fun to watch since our server said he had no rhythm and was right but did it anyway at our request. His tip went up for the laugh we got. By the way shout out to Devon our server. He was very friendly and attentive. Thanks Devon. We will certainly ask for him next visit.

Came for the first time on a Saturday. We put ourselves on the waitlist prior to arriving. As soon as we checked in we got a text to go "on-deck" It was VERY busy, but the service, order accuracy and quality of our meals was great! Every staff member we encountered was kind and friendly. Our servers were attentive! Cant wait to come back!

What really stood out was how personable she was. She even chatted with me about zodiac signs, and to my surprise, she was so on point that it added a really fun, personal touch to our visit. It’s rare to meet someone who brings both friendliness and such an authentic sense of connection, and Terry Ann did exactly that. Bryce, our server, was equally impressive. His service was top-notch. He was attentive without being intrusive, quick without feeling rushed, and always making sure that we had everything we needed. He anticipated little details before we even had to ask, and that level of care really made a difference in our dining experience. You could tell he takes pride in his work and genuinely wants his guests to have a great time. Together, Terry Ann and Bryce went above and beyond to turn what could have been just another dinner out into something truly memorable. Texas Roadhouse is lucky to have such dedicated, kind, and professional people on their team. I left not only with a full stomach but also with a smile, thanks to the hospitality and great energy they brought to the table.

Texas Roadhouse is a chain restaurant. Aren’t chain restaurants supposed to have mediocre food and grumpy employees? This restaurant rocks. They check all the boxes; friendly and fun staff, quality food, comfortable atmosphere, and great prices. Whatever they’re doing I hope they can keep it up. I’m excited for my next visit. 11/10 A++

Celebrated my friend's birthday and all 4 of us had an absolute blast! Great ambiance, attentive staff and the food is simply excellent (as long as you enjoy meat). Went for the 16oz prime rib and the flavourful tenderness of the meat was just incredible.

Steaks and kids burger and Mac and cheese were awesome. I got catfish which I love but didn't particularly like this catfish. Manager and server noticed right away. I was going to just not eat it. They asked me and I said I didn't really like it, they replaced it with salmon which was excellent. The manager also brought us a bag of peanuts and a coupon when we first arrived because we had never been to a Texas roadhouse. Pretty great customer service. 👌

We enjoyed our dinner and the waitress was great... we know it was busy and the orders were backed up so we didn't mind the long wait on our food plus she gave us extra bread 🥰 definitely will come back. So glad we don't have to drive all the way to Vista to enjoy Texas Roadhouse.

Really good food. Service was excellent. They followed up if anything was needed. Received food in 15 mins of ordering. Lively atmosphere. Lots of family and friends enjoying each other's company.

Can get crowded but my whole family loves the food. Ribeyes are our go to, all 5 of us. And the bar is usually open to sit at if you are alone and just want some good food with little to no wait time.

Texas roadhouse of el cajon gets my 100 % highest reccomendations on places to eat. The atmosphere is just amazing. The service was the best, the people are so awesome, our server Angelina aka Ballerina was so friendly and really topped of the experience for my fiancee and. Over all 4 thumbs up ;) absolutley loved it.

Great place to eat a steak. Much better than that Australian place. Service was good but a little on the slow side... and it was a Monday evening so not as busy as most times. The big margarita needs an extra shot. The Modelo draft was big, cold and delicious.

I really enjoy the atmosphere here at Texas roadhouse. Staff is always very attentive and prices are reasonable. The steaks are a great deal and the sides are awesome. I also enjoy the sweet tea. I also appreciate the fact they honor veterans such as myself. . I was just bummed as this year someone as luck would have it, broke into my car and took all the items out the glove box where i had my meal voucher so i missed out on my free meal this year.

Love this place. Last visit was a bad one, but the have restored my faith in humanity!! This time the steak, sides, and apps were perfect, the service excellent and as always, the price was right. We ordered a ribeye, perfect, tender and juicy. Ribs, tender, flavorful, good sauce. Catfish (I know, fish at a steak place?!?!, I like to live on the edge). It's was ok, but that could be because I was fried fooded out by the time it arrived. Fish was tender, with a crisp, not greasy cornmeal crust. Baked and sweet potato was delicious. Fired onion app amazing!! Chili good, bread fantastic as always. Our waitress outstanding, with prompt and courteous service. This is number one on my list of reasonablely priced steakhouses. The ambiance is loud and rambunctious but that's half the fun. Eat, drink, and be merry! Enjoy this place.

I can’t believe how long it took me to finally come here! 5 out of 5 stars for food and service. It’s been a loooong time since I’ve had such a great experience dining out. Savannah was our server and she was the sweetest. She checked in on us often and was just so friendly. The gentlemen who took us to our table was also amazing. And then the food! My husband and I loved everything! I had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes & fries. My husband ordered the sirloin, ribs and mac&cheese. We ordered the fried pickles to start. I had to hold myself back from eating all the bread and that delicious butter before our meals. Texas Roadhouse is totally worth the hype! Will be definitely coming back.

This place is epic! I would give it a 20/10 if I could. Service was the best, manager checked in with us. Steak was perfect, other items were fresh and plentiful. The only minor complaint is it's just too loud. I understand it's the vibe of the place but we were almost screaming at each other over the music. Everything else was perfect!

Texas Roadhouse is always a fun and satisfying place to eat. The steaks are flavorful, the portions are generous, and the rolls with cinnamon butter are absolutely addictive. The staff is friendly, energetic, and they really work hard to make the experience enjoyable — even the line dancing adds a nice touch. I was amazed last night when my friend & neighbor took me to this establishment last night to celebrate my birthday! Why was I surprised? Well, years ago, there was a practice of folks eating peanuts in the long 'wait' line and throwing the shells onto the floor! Cracked peanut shells were everywhere! Children of all ages loved it, but I wasn't a fan! This time, I walked in, and yes, there were free peanuts, but the shells now go into receptacles!✔️ I got to choose my exact steak from the butcher's see-thru fridge out front! That was the best meal I've had in years. I got warm rolls, 2 of many possible sides which were (loaded) mashed w skin potatoes and garden salad accompanying that perfectly-cooked New York Strip Steak! WOW! My friend didn't want to overeat, so she got the before-five pm, reduced-price meal (6 oz. steak of choice with 2 selections from the many sides available) for less than $15! We also got an appetizer trio (baked potato skins, fried pickles, and buffalo wings)! She had a mock-tail, but we both got tall glasses water with ice! Needless to say, we had several bags of to-go boxes when we left, and the welcome was the same during the entire meal! What a fun night! If you have something to celebrate or not, a huge appetite or not, dining with a group or eating solo, they've got you covered! There's also a separate window that opens to the parking lot for order / pickup patrons! Now you know why their parking lot is filled all the time! Bon Appétit! ❣️

Out celebrating a birthday, all agreed to try for our first time Texas Roadhouse. It was definitely a great experience and had tons of fun that we all were not expecting. The atmosphere was loud, friendly and welcoming and all staff were cheerful and outgoing. Wait time was about 10 minutes or less I highly recommend to checking in on a waiting list online for shorter wait times because it gets really crowded and busy. All worth it, the bread served as you wait to order is outstanding definitely leaves you wanting more. Ordered ribs, pulled pork, chili, fries and sweet potato. Cant forget the margaritas that were perfect. This is a great way to have dinner and entertainment also great for game nights and a bar area. I will be coming back

Wait time was bit annoying (1hr 20min) but so worth it. Food was great and so was the service. Nice atmosphere and staff members dancing here and there, was pretty cool. We were offered bag of peanuts which was nice surprise. First time coming to dine, ordered before but delivered food didn’t taste as good as at the restaurant. Loved cheesy french fries and bacon burger. Definitely will be back and definitely highly recommended!

A fine establishment with excellent food. You always know what you’re going to get here - delicious rolls, good meats, southern-style cooking. It’s as close as you’re going to get to authentic southern cooking from a franchise. It’s actually really tasty. The place is crowded, and purposefully so. Designed to keep the tables close together, centered around the sports bar. This particular location does NOT like large families. The hostess was very cantankerous with me when I asked for a spot for my medium sized family, then became angry when I, very directly, explained to her that I was not going to wait 2.5 hours for a table and that we’d be more than happy to squeeze into a booth designed for 6 plump full sized adults. Even though she took y request, she wouldn’t actually give me a seat until being pestered several times. Probably not the best person as hostess. The rest of the staff were very professional and nice, all very friendly except the hostess. The food is really good. For a franchised restaurant, it’s guaranteed to be above par - quite a long ways above average. We always live our food and our time together at this place.

The food and service is consistently good at this Texas Roadhouse. Even when they're really busy, they seat you quickly and the food comes out fast. My biggest complaint is the level of noise. They could do something to help absorb the echo from everyone speaking loudly over the music. It won't keep me from coming back. It just makes it hard to have a conversation over a meal. The kids burger is pretty sad. It's an overcooked patty, cut in half, on what looks like a larger version of their rolls. I wouldn't recommend it. The kids steak bites are good. They cooked all of our steaks to our liking. They were delicious.

On a busy Friday evening, we finally got seated around 8:45pm after an hour long on their waitlist. They don’t take reservations. This restaurant has a fun, lively country themed ambiance. It was packed and loud music was on. Not a place to have serious conversations. Once seated, waitstaff immediately brought us their famous bread rolls with cinnamon butter. They were warm, savory and fresh from the kitchen. I ordered the 6 oz. Sirloin steak with baked sweet potato and chili as side dishes. All of us ordered chili as one of our side dishes. Steak was a thick cut so it was moist, cooked perfectly and seasoned well that I didn’t need to use steak sauce. Their famous chili was surprisingly good with real meat in it. The sweet potato was a generous portion, big enough to share. I ended up taking half of it home with leftover steak for another meal. We ordered two additional side dishes for a toddler. This confused our server and as a result, she didn’t bring out the chili for one of our table mates. When we asked her for status of the last chili, she immediately realized her mistake and rushed to bring out the chili for our table mate. She apologized for the error and made it up to us at the end. After the meal, we asked for boxes and some bread rolls to go. She surprised us by giving us a box of their tasty, fluffy and warm bread rolls and a big container of the cinnamon butter. Bread were fresh out of the kitchen and placed under heating lamps. There were over 12 bread rolls in the box. Needless to say, we gave her a big tip for providing good customer service. This restaurant offers good meals at affordable prices. Most waitstaff had a smile on their faces and thanked us for coming in as we were leaving after our meal. We felt welcome!

Popped in at 11 am opening on a Friday for lunch with a friend, haven't been here for a while and they've done a really nice remodel! Great flow and ambiance. The hostesses were very welcoming and friendly upon walking throughthe doors and we were able to get seated right away with a round of their fresh baked rolls and honey-cinnamon butter; our waiter (Eric) was super energetic, helpful with questions, and quick with our drink orders and then getting our food -checking in on refills and if everything was going well. I was given the wrong side and Eric was very quick to get it corrected and bring the correct one. My friend got the Chicken Critter Salad, which was a huge plate of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, chopped hard boiled eggs, lots of cheese, and crispy cut up chicken tenders; she noted that the chicken was still really juicy and perfectly crisp. I got the California Chicken which was a marinated chicken breast -fileted into a cute heart shape, covered in melty jack cheese, 1/2 a perfectly ripe avocado slided up, topped with a pico de gallo, and than drizzled with their honey lime sauce, it comes with a choice of two sides -I got the garden salad and seasoned vegetables...the rice was brought but the vegetables (steamed carrots and broccoli) came shortly after. We were able to get in and out -seated to paying check- in 50 minute. When we were leaving we noticed the place was quit full and there was now a pretty good line/wait (11:55-ish).

We have been to the Oceanside chain before, but this is our first visit to this restaurant. The employees are friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious.

Valentine's ❤️ was a very Busy night for the Roadhouse. Wait time for table 10-15 min Service was 👍, drink's served right away, food took little longer... workers are Efficient saw teamwork... Manager stopped by to check on us and everything was good 👍 Music was very Loud, made conversation difficult. Same Songs played over and over. Felt more like a Night Club!

Great customer service. Food was good but nothing was really hitting the spot for me, just tasted average. Except the bread with the cinnamon butter, that never disappoints!! However, my husband really enjoyed his steak. Fun environment & would still recommend once in a while.

We had a very well prepared meal, at reasonable prices. Most every employee we encountered was polite, charming and personable. Our server, "Thelma", (not her real name) was attentive and genuinely concerned about our being satisfied. That said, my Rib Eye Steak with onions, came to me, WITHOUT onions. When I tried to get the managers attention, we made eye contact, but he never came to see what I wanted. I had to ask a different server to get his attention for me. To his credit, he came right over. I explained the problem and he apologized. That said, his concern appeared to come from an insincere place. Apologizing because he had to; not so much because he wanted to. He also appeared to be in somewhat of a hurry, as he started walking away from our table while I was still speaking. I would suggest that if he is to be successful in the hospitality business, that he learn to give his guests his full and uninterrupted attention. After All, the guest is why you're there to begin with. Make no mistake, he "Checked" all the customer service boxes; but it seemed to be self serving.

Good size chicken fried steak that’s sirloin based not super crunchy kind of salty with the gravy great service very loud and rambunctious atmosphere Staff danced ro “Footloose” It was pretty crazy in there on a Father’s Day JJ was my server and he’s a great person.

This place is always packed, wait list is pretty accurate so make sure you are using the wait list. Steaks are always consistent and good. Service is pretty consistent across several Texas Roadhouse facilities as I have visited in IL and CA. It is much louder than other places that are similar due to large numbers.

Overall, it was a good meal, but you could see it was near closing time and everybody was in a hurry to get everything closed down, so Service was kind of lacking. I had to remind the Server to bring a salad out. Was hoping to see it before dinner, but all that all the meal was good. The price was fair and the service picked up.

I came here years ago at the Oceanside location and had prime rib. It was so delicious that I remember until this day. Especially the bread! We had just finished bowling and Texas Roadhouse was down the street. We had paid for two hours for bowling and about an hour in, we put our selves on the waitlist through the site. It said 40 minutes. Which was perfect. We finished bowling and headed over. Still had to wait but better than showing up without being on the waitlist. As you enter, you pass the kitchen and the glass window with all the cuts of meat. The bread was coming out baskets after baskets. Smelled so good! Our group sat at booth. We ordered: Cactus blossom: Just like Outback with Cajun horseradish dipping sauce. Each pedal breaks off super easy. Fried pickles: I’m not a fan of pickles but for deep fried, it was pretty good. I think because it took away the sour taste. Texas red chili: Got this in bowl size and it’s made from scratch. You can totally tell by its taste. Really good. Boneless Buffalo wings: Average. Breaded Buffalo seasoning. Forth Worth Ribeye 14 oz ($25.99): I got medium, smothered with onions and mushrooms. Seasoned rice and loaded baked potato for the sides. I loved the ribeye, it was tender, juicy and a bit salty. If you eat with the onions and mushrooms then it’ll balanced out. Delicious meal but the bread are to die for. It’s warm out of the oven, soft and crispy and that cinnamon butter is like gold! It comes 4 to a basket and it’s unlimited. They play country music and when a certain song comes on, all the servers get in a line and they like dance! Super fun atmosphere!

1st time visiting for dinner. Had a great experience with fast friendly service, and the food was cooked wonderfully and served properly. Our waitress kept checking back to make sure all was ok. We couldn't ask for better. The portions were nicely sized and very tasty.

myself and my girlfriend went for dinner and Shauna was SO great! she sold us on the new mozzarella sticks (delicious!!) and got me an amazing spicy mango margarita! Until she had to go on break like 47 mins into her shift.. sooo we got Meg who was very sweet! steaks and potatoes good! Although somehow we accidentally got charged for cheese fries, but it was fixed at the end! :)) Would love to come back and see our girl Shauna thooo!!

Most of our food was very good, the atmosphere was cool, but the music was so loud that it was difficult to talk. The Ranch dressing was the best ever. (Though it seems like a little thing, it's not!) The waitress was really good, friendly, and helpful.

This place is a must try for steak. Very casual setting country of course. He just opened one in national city south bay. The portions are big.The bread is delicious With there yummy butter. Amazing. I got so excited to see one here in San Diego that I busted a U-Turn & canceled the original plans with my girlfriend & we went straight to Texas Roadhouse! (That was a couple weeks ago) I love Texas Roadhouse but I decided to go back for my birthday and the service was horrible, staff was not friendly, I was honestly embarrassed that I took my family there. We called to reserve and they did not tell us we would be sitting outside. The service outside was horrible, food was not great. I ordered a Pulled pork sandwich that was "covered in BBQ" according to the menu, just look at the picture and you'll see this had very little BBQ. I have so many words but honestly I will not be going back for a long time. I had a wonderful birthday and this almost ruined the whole day for myself and my family.

Skip it, MEH. Texas Roadhouse has friendly, attentive staff who do their jobs well and keep things moving. Service was efficient, drinks were refilled promptly, and everyone seemed upbeat. That said, the overall experience feels wholly unremarkable, especially for the price point. The food is certainly consistent, but so are frozen meals. Mass-produced, lower-quality value ingredients to drive profits and shareholder value. If you’re without any other viable option and want predictable chain fare, it’s a great choice. Otherwise, there are stronger local options in suburban San Diego worth prioritizing.

Service was friendly. But the food, Not great but it’s what you’d expect for this steakhouse. Steak wasn’t chewy as expected which was nice. Ribs overcooked and need some work. Most of the meats in the group said it was too dry. The best items on the table were the green beans and chili. Cheese balls were too salty. Rolls were fluffy and served with a cinnamon butter which would be nice if you like sweet but would be nice to have a savory option.

Took my parents to eat at Texas Roadhouse for the first time and everything was going great, up until mid-meal they switched our server. This lady(PAMELA) never took away any empty plates, offered refills, or even brought us our meal. When it was time to pay the check we paid with card, and left a $5 tip, since it was all the cash we had. This waitress reminded us to look at the bottom of the receipt again (recommended tip amounts), I told her I did read the bottom of the receipt. She then proceeded to hand me the $5 tip back because she didn't need it and walked away without saying anything else. She did this in front of the staff checking in customers, and in front of my family. It was embarrassing. This completely ruined our experience. This person was rude, demeaning, and pushy. Pressuring us to tip $30-$36 even though she was not our server from the start is unreasonable. I just hope not everyone has this type of experience when bringing family to eat at this restaurant.

Let me begin by saying first that the server was very attentive and sweet. I really had high expectations for the food in this establishment, but I was completely wrong. They have the worst quality meats of any restaurant chain that I have tried, needless to say that we won't be back. The only reason they earned 2 stars it's because we liked their dinner rolls. I do not recommend this place to anyone, please go spend your money somewhere else.

Craving a steak. Should have gone to Black Angus or Outback. The ribeye I was served was cooked to resemble leather, heavily salted and barely fit for a dog.

Hadn’t eaten here in several months. Notice the quality of food and service wasn’t as good as I once enjoyed. We accidentally left our expensive leftovers on the table and within minutes of returning, they were gone. Overall, they could improve their customer service.

I was looking forward to coming here after a visit to the Sun City, AZ location a couple of months ago. The steak I had there was definitely one of the best steaks I have had in years and I was looking forward to a similar experience here in El Cajon, CA. Unfortunately it was the opposite. Service was great for our party of 5 + 1 child. 4 adults ordered 14 oz steaks either medium rare or medium. 3 of which came out well done. I ordered a 16 oz med rare hoping that a larger steak would definitely be cooked the way I liked with mushrooms. Unfortunately it was served well done and not edible, the mushrooms were old and black, also not edible. Our server promptly got me a replacement which was only a 14 oz (not 16 oz) and it came out pretty raw. I ended up taking it home and made steak sandwiches the next day and they were very good. Very disappointed with the food, but service was good. 🤷‍♀️

I got a giftcard to go here, and I'm happy I didn't pay my own money because I will not be returning. There's only like three big chain resturants in El Cajon so you don't have many options. The best part was the hot bread. If everything was as hot and delicious as the bresd it would've been great! The appetizer of the fried onion wasn't battered correctly and undercooked so it ruined the whole meal for us with a nasty aftertaste and indigestion for the rest of the night, the waitress took it off the bill. The meat was best for a cooking style for sirloins and not for filets because the filets came burned, and warm. Not cold, not hot, just warm, it would've been a lot better if it was hot food. One thing that they could improve for the service is having the waitress repeat back your order to you to confirm because she said "yep" but then our food and drinks came out wrong because of how loud it is in there. I already said to take off 1 item and she was avoiding us a bit after that and I didnt want to keep sending back my meal or drinks for tiny things so we just dealt with it.

I've given this place a fair try as this was my 5th time at Texas Roadhouse & it's not for me. The best thing about the food is the bread & I've tried quite a variety of things on the menu and shared a few plates amongst family and friends. If I come here against my will if my friend group has majority vote to eat at Texas Roadhouse.. I will fill up only with bread.

I’ve been going to the National City location forever and I’ve never had any issues with them messing up with my steak cooking. Tonight, I took my family to the El Cajon location and my steak was supposed to be medium rare and got well done. Had to wait to get my new steak and by the time my new steak came out, I was already full of eating the bread. But overall, the waiter was amazing and very helpful!

Congratulations ! You made me hate TRH forever. We sent our steaks back to the kitchen TWICE. We ordered medium rare meat and the steaks were clearly well done instead. Waitress never cleared our spot at the bar, we ended up not having room to put our glasses. Manager was rude, telling us the service is poor and slow tonight because it is Sunday so it's busy (I don't care, I pay the same price either if it is Monday, Wednesday or Sunday....so !) We were told to keep our sides on the table while they were making us other steaks, so we had to grab our sides by hands, out of our plates, put them in a little plate and wait 20 min for our steaks to be redone. So of course in the mean time, our sides are cold. Here we go again, asking to have our sides redone. And the mean time our steaks are cold AGAIN.... Worst service ever. Food was not well cooked, cold. Poor experience. There're plenty of other steakhouses in town, will never go back to TRH for SURE.

Definitely don't go to this restaurant if you want real steak I ordered a ribeye, and instead of an actual steak what I got was meat glue. Basically small chunks of meat glued together worst steak I've ever received in my life.

I put in a pick up order. Full disclosure, I only did a 10% tip since I was picking it up myself and not dinning in. There were several hairs in my food. They honestly looked like pubic hair. Threw the food away. I would not trust the crew here again and strongly recommend you don't either.

I received a well-done steak instead of medium, and after a replacement, I became ill. Whether it was carelessness or not, I had a serious food safety concern. Diners should be aware.

We went yesterday for my son’s birthday, it was 14 of us but they took about 45-60 mins to get our food and our kids and 2 adults didn’t get their food until everyone else was done eating. Manager said those meals were on them after being done we paid and left outside to open gifts when we get told we didn’t pay for those meals. I was super mad because they never gave us a bill for those meals and manager said it was taken care of. Our server didn’t even apologize until after 2 others came and told us why the food was taking so long. Some steaks were asked to be well done and they were almost burnt, they were literally black and not seared but burnt.
