I don't know why I didn't take any photos of the great sushi rolls available here. probably because we were too busy in the (nom nom nom) stuffing it into our face. rolls eaten: and all were succulent, no leftovers! Dragon roll x 2 Las Vegas crispy rol lx2 Philly crispy roll x2 Daiki roll x2 Cobora roll Lemon drop Lion King x2 3some spicy scallop x2 beef teriyaki roll x2 Alaska roll Tiger roll sunset roll Philly roll (non crispy) San Mateo roll sunset roll all great a1 service! great small atmosphere we went at around 430pm on a sat and not too busy. well worth it for the ayce crowds. was a $8 uber/lift ride from Hyatt Regency near SFO airport. And there is lots to do in the area....billiards hall catty-corner across the street to work off whats yummy in the tummy. would 100% recommend this great place with great attentive/informative staff.
I really like this for a nice traditional lunch spot. $18-something for a 3 entree lunch special is great. They're not shabby about the quality of fish, daikon, tempura or any of the things that your average places like this overlook. The service is always awesome too.
I've been coming here for years, and even with all of the new sushi restaurants popping up, this is still a favorite of mine. Good, quality sushi and a friendly staff.
All you can eat sushi with baked and deep fried rolls. Staff is kind and prepares the orders quickly. I don't understand why this restaurant isn't completely slammed during the lunch special hours. The price is probably the best in the entire bay area.
Very good. Service is wonderful. The staff is so very sweet and great with children. Very family friendly. We come here at least once a month and always have a great experience.
I’ve been to a lot of sushi spots, but this place is easily one of my favorites! Whether you’re super hungry and want to go for the all-you-can-eat option or just in the mood for a few rolls à la carte, they’ve got you covered. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative, and everything comes out quickly. What I love most is the variety—you’re not limited to just rolls and nigiri; they also have appetizers and specialty items all included in the AYCE menu. But if you’re not feeling super hungry, you can still order individual items at a really fair price. Service was friendly and attentive, and the vibe is casual but clean. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend if you're craving good sushi at a great value.
This was a great find. Wandering around and discovered they had a terrific All You Eat Sushi Lunch Special. Great food, good service and they got stuff out of the kitchen pretty quickly. Really enjoyed it.
Everything we ordered was incredible! Would definitely recommend especially if you're not from the area but are craving some top tier sushi 👏👏
I absolutely love this sushi place! I love the all-you-can-eat option! This place has delicious sweet potato rolls which I adore! The atmosphere is calm and the place is always clean! I definitely recommend to all locals or those visiting the San Mateo area!
My first time here and will definitely be returning. I used to work in the area and always wanted to try this place. I'm glad I finally did. The server was very friendly and welcoming. The food came out super fast too. Everything tasted fresh and the food was very good. I only got sushi but they have other options if sushi isn't your thing. Highly recommend. Will be returning.
All you can eat sushi! What else could you ask for? If I'm back in the area craving sushi, then I'm coming here. Just be thoughtful on your choices as you can fill up really quick on this and not really order as much. I suggest you order the stuff without the fake crab first.
The best all you can eat in the BAY AREA. I would give 10 STARS. The food is FRESH and made to order. The only place I will and bring my family and friends for all you can eat.
Chill Sushi spot with all you can eat options. The nigiri, tempura, and sushi was tasty. Some cuts I wasn't a super fan of and some nigiri had a lot of rice. But overall really good deal for all you can eat. Lunch was only 25 bucks
Daiki Sushi – A Hidden Gem for Japanese Cuisine and Drinks I had a great dining experience at Daiki Sushi! The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting—perfect for a night out or a casual dinner. One of the highlights for me was their drink menu. They offer a solid selection of Japanese beers like Kirin, Asahi, and Sapporo, both in bottles and on draft. I went with the Asahi draft—crisp, cold, and the perfect complement to the sushi rolls. If you’re into sake, they have some premium options. I tried the Sho Chiku Bai Nigori (Unfiltered) which was smooth and slightly sweet—an excellent pairing with the spicy tuna and salmon rolls. For those who prefer wine, they also offer Cabernet, Merlot, and Chardonnay by the glass. The dinner menu offers a $35.95 per person all-you-can-eat option where you can choose 3 items at a time. I went with the Tekka Maki, Sake Maki, and Negi Hamachi Roll—each one was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Overall, the service was quick, the food was on point, and the drinks made it even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quality sushi spot with a nice beverage selection to match!
Very tasty, small, nice place, not heavy commercial, low profile, looked like a family business. Clean.
Great ACYE sushi. I went there for lunch. Fresh sushi. Nice service. I was so full.and happy after the meal. The sushi rice is a bit bland. Could be better with more vinegar. I will definitely go back.
All you can eat lunch special for less than $24.00…such a great deal!!! Delicious sushi!!! Good service! 10% Discount on cash payments. 👍
Honestly, I think this place is amazing! For only $22+/person for AYCE when we went, everything was perfect. Food that was meant to be warm and crispy was exactly that. Sushi was flavorful and service was fast. They were also super attentive and greeted us immediately when we entered. This is AMAZING value in San Mateo for the food offered. There was also a large variety of items available to order from including beer on tap. The other reviews on google do not do it justice! Obviously don't expect ridiculously high quality sushi and sashimi that you would've gotten from a fancy Japanese restaurant. This place is no frills, great quality and great options to choose from.
I love this place. They have amazingly fresh Japanese food, I've been there for dinner and lunch. It's a bit more expensive for all you can eat for dinner, is around $33 per person and if you want to add sashimi it's around $13 extra. For lunch is $23.95 for all you can eat per person and there is no sashimi. It's so worth, I saw some bad reviews and I'm glad I went with the good ones because the food is really amazing and the lady at the front was super nice at us every time. Just give it a try and if you're into some garlic taste order the baked Lion King roll I can't even describe how delicious it was.
Another recommendation of Bayarefoodies on Tiktok. I was doubtful with all the bad reviews about how poor the quality of the sushi was, but it was actually really good and fresh. Portions were big. You can order 3 items at a time, my son and I ordered 6 items between the two and surprisingly, it was enough for us both. We didnt order again, just the initial 3 items each, so we probably didnt get our money's worth, but it was good non the less. $39.99 per person. Son added sashimi Forman extra $14. $100 bill for 2.
Was craving for some sushi and found out this place is all you can eat, that’s a plus. They don’t scam you like other places, full size portions with a large menu for many things to choose from. Great service and definitely will be back!

First time at Daiki Sushi and it was a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food, quick service and all you can eat accommodations. Thanks to the hospitable staff! I look forward to coming back.
The food is amazing, the portion is huge! And the customer service top tier! I think this a family business, but the elder gentleman is so sweet! He’s really accommodating. Also his staff is so nice! Besides the food being good! It’s price reasonable well! Will always support .

This place is located right off highway 92. They have limited parking spaces. They have indoor seating only. Not advisable for big groups. They have lots of choices in their menu. Servings were bigger than most. Their nigiri servings were two fingers thick, while their fish was thinly sliced.
Always a great meal. Pictures I posted say it all. The most best unique sushi roll I have ever had is the beef teriyaki roll. So so delicious and really packed with meat. Will always come back here it's a winner
I recently visited this AYCE restaurant for lunch. The overall experience was positive, especially considering the price. The food quality was good, and the staff was friendly, providing excellent service. A noteworthy gesture was the owner giving me a phone battery, which turned out to be a lifesaver.

This place is exactly what you expect for an all you can eat sushi place. The fee is $24.95 per person, which is good, and decent atmosphere, but it starts going downhill from there. You can only choose 3 dishes from the menu at a time, and after the first serving, the second serving will take a ridiculous amount of time (even at 1:30 pm) - expect 30 - 45 minutes or more between servings. The rice in the sushi is insane, the rice from three sushi will be the same mass as your fist. Basically the rice size per sushi is of a musubi. Each slice of sushi fish is like 3 or 4 mm. They start being even more conservative starting with the second serving. Will you get to eat your fill? Yes. But don’t expect it to be proper sushi, which honestly wouldn’t likely be served anyway at an all you can eat. So exactly what you expect for a small all-you-can-eat sushi place.
I've been here 3 different times by myself during a lunch break hoping that each time would be different. It's not easy finding a AYCE sushi spot in the Peninsula that won't break the bank, and the lunch price here is very attractive, food comes out fairly quickly, service is good, but it's hard to justify coming back here just to eat pretty much just sushi rice. I've seen food influencers talk about this place, and I believe if you have a camera filming yourself, the food comes out looking a lot better...

AYCE, but all sushi was very very heavy on rice and light on fish. A cheap way to fill up if bulking or on a budget, but would not recommend for standard AYCE sushi. Karaage was OK.
Went for dinner all you can eat. There are a lot of choices on the menus but each sushi made with a lot of rice or imitation crab. Maybe I haven't been to AYCE for long time and quality just does not match my expectations.

I had dinner at this restaurant last night and started having severe diarrhea within 30 minutes of leaving—while I was still driving home. I had to pull over twice due to stomach urgency, and had two more episodes this morning. It’s now been over 18 hours and I still feel abdominal pain and discomfort. I didn’t eat anything else all day except for a coffee and a muffin in the yesterday morning. The only major meal I had was here. One of the sushi rolls had a strange-tasting yellow fried topping, which I now suspect may have been spoiled or improperly handled. Food safety is not optional when serving raw fish. This was a disturbing experience. I will not be coming back, and I hope the restaurant takes this seriously before someone gets even sicker.
Worst sushi ever. I lived in Japan for 9 years so I know what a decent sushi should taste like. 1. Karage was unbelievably bad. Felt like chef never saw karage in his life. 2. Sushi- Quality of fish(the part of fish meat which was used) was bad. The rice was clumsy (would break apart), no taste (guess it wasn’t vinegared) and there was no wasabi between fish and rice. 3. California Rolls and other rolls were not bad. And prawn tempura was decent too. 4. Veg tempura was not good. I hope they really improve the taste as I am not going back there !!!
Me and my husband didn't really have a good dinner there. The waiter always took our menus and didn't give it back after each order, my husband has to go ask for the menu multi times . They didn't want to explain the menu even after several attempts. The food wasn't that good anyway. We would expect better service. We won't go there again
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!! Came on a Monday night with my boyfriend for all you can eat dinner. When we got there at first the place was empty so we thought it was a little sketchy so went to look for another place but we couldn’t find another since it was past 8pm so went decided to give it a try. Shortly after some more customers walked in so we felt a bit better. WE SHOULDNT HAVE CAME BACK! We ordered some sushi I believe one of them was a white meat fish and it gave him severe food poisoning, he threw up several times and had stomach cramps all night
I have been to countless AYCE. This was by far the worst experience I've had. I have never eaten sushi with this much rice... literally 2-3x normal rice per nigiri packed together so tightly. I would prefer to pay double and have normal rice portions for AYCE.
Food quality is not bad, nor is service. But this is one of those AYCE places where you will get your sushi with 90% of it being rice. After the first plate (6pcs each) we were feeling the sugar spike. This is a good spot for college student gatherings but if you want to actually eat fish/seafood, you won’t get much.
I tried a lot of all you can eat sushi places around the world. But that place is officially the worst I have ever tried. I would rather pay more money… take 40 bucks, take 50 bucks but make good sushi. What they cook here is rice. A big portion of rice with a tiny slice of fish. And fish is the cheapest they can get. I’ve never tried so bad salmon or tuna ever. All pictures of rolls and nigiri you may see in reviews have nothing common with reality. That was my first time in all you can eat when I ordered 2 rolls, a few nigiri and that’s it. Just because you can’t eat this fake.
A few hours ago I went to eat at this place, because I am staying at the hotel across the street, it seemed unfortunate to me that the owner or manager of this business called the police to remove a taco stand that is in front of the business, a totally different food than this place, it was very sad and my heart broke when I saw the envy of this person, it is very sad to see these types of people cutting short the dreams of others, I come to eat at this place very often, because for reasons of my work I always stay at this hotel, I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE TO EAT, RACIST AND ENVIOUS. When I left this place I went to the taco stand where they were almost finished removing the stand and I gave them my condolences, I talked to them a little, I was surprised to see that these people are going through a very serious economic time and are looking for a way out of the situation, kindly I gave them 100 dollars to support them.
This is a gripe about their delivery service through GrubHub. They might not be aware of this but they make you get a minimum of about $30 worth of food, plus they add a 15% service charge. I’m fine with the service charge, but I don’t understand why you have to spend 30 bucks. The standard is $12+ for free delivery. On GrubHub Daiki gives your first order at the standard $12+ with free delivery, and then after that you have to spend $30, or make up the difference in cash so it reaches $30. In other words, if you spend $20 in food, you have to pay an extra $10 just to get to $30 or they won’t even place the order. They’re losing business with this policy. And the weird thing is if you were to pick up, you can do the $12 minimum through GrubHub so I don’t understand the logic. They’re not delivering the food personally so why does it have to be $30 minimum for delivery but $12 if you pick up? Anyway, I’ve moved on. And just one other small gripe— I like their food a lot, but their tempura is mushy so they should figure out what’s going on with that. It isn’t mushy other places I order. Everything else has been very good though. I hope they fix the DoorDash/GrubHub issue. I’ve never run into that anywhere else.
