First time trying the Elk burger, and it was fantastic. As usual, the chili cheese dog is just as fantastic. My favorite place. You even get a free burger on your birthday! Take the 5 lb burger challenge if you dare!! Love all the pics on the wall from previous guests.

The staff is extremely polite and professional. I happened in on a 50% off mushroom burger day, awesome! Its my favorite 😀. I purchased the 1/2 pounder. Tasty, cooked perfectly , thick and very filling. Great local burger place with a cool vibe. I'll be back in the spring when I travel again from Missouri

Classic cheeseburger was solid with a nice chew to the meat—it’s definitely not a thin smash burger, though it’s as greasy as one. Bottom bun did get a big soggy from the grease. Honestly the standouts were the fry on their onion rings, fried zucchini, and french fries. Perfectly crisp, the batter separates cleanly from the veg inside and the veg doesn’t get stringy and pull (ever bite into an onion ring and the onion kind of just holds on no matter how you gnaw at if? Won’t happen here). Great ranch too, it’s a bit looser and not as salty, but the flavor is still prominent, which I prefer. French fries were a little on the saltier side with seasoned salt. They can do half baskets of french fries and onion rings at least, not sure about other combinations. They just charge based on the price of the more expensive side. With maybe 4 others in front of me at 7PM, it took me less than 10 mins to get my to-go order from the time I ordered. Friendly service.

I love this place, I found it 2 years ago while visiting CA from AZ. They had 3 locations at the time and now have grown to 4, still small enough to make you feel welcome and large enough to have a competitive menu. The staff is always friendly and I believe they truly appreciate my business. They have an excellent choice of items and great deals on a daily and monthly basis. They also offer a birthday special. But here is the really good deal if you're looking for sound financial advice that you won't get from your current CPA, They sell a well made T-shirt and if you're willing to wear it into one of their establishments and become a walking billboard for the day, you will get a free order of French Fries each and every time. My investment has more than paid for itself in delicious golden brown French Fries. So if you're looking for a delicious burger and fries combo that is out of the ordinary I will bet my beautiful red Sylvester's T-shirt on the fact that you won't be disappointed.

Normally this place is amazing there food is a 10/10 but this time it was unfortunately not… the meat was so pink I couldn’t eat it the taste was terrible the buns were soggy and my fries were cold

been coming here since i was a little kid, they have a really clean bathroom that is nice to use, and the burgers and fries are also good too! i went to the los osos location the other day with my friend jon and we couldnt even eat it, but the atascadero location is always 10/10! thank you for the clean bathroom and yummy food

These were the best burgers, and a satisfying meal. I got the smaller patty but it's cool you can get a larger one. There are discounts days and we got free fries 🍟. We decided to purchase some clothing and will forever remember their big hot and juicy burgers 🍔 😂

Here from out of town to play a show with my band in the area. Ordered the Desperado burger, it was the juiciest burger I think I’ve ever eaten, also got a side of garlic fries which were cooked to absolute perfection. I hope I end up here again someday, verrrrrrrrry good food 😮‍💨

Let me tell you what. When I say this place was amazing. The food was incredible. The wait staff was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Best meal we’ve had since we’ve been in California. Thank you for y’all’s service it was top notch! Highly recommend

I love this place- friendly people behind the counter- Free wifi- Yummy burgers, fries and shakes- Daughter had the girl scout and started googling how to make them! That good!.. My go to lunch spot when thrifting in the area. Recommend and will be back. I love the mushroom burger 🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫

Really good food. I got the bowl version of their mushroom Swiss burger and they give you a ton of veggies with the salad. Hubby got a deliciously messy hana burger. The staff was happy helpful and kind. The garlic fries were so good. Definitely a place we will go to again.

Was to hungry to wait for photos, but GDayyymmm this is the best burger joint ! Chili cheese fries were delicious! And you won't believe the size of the onion rings!! So good!! Also get the fry sauce ! Burgers were the 1/3lb pound mushroom and 1/3lb California.

Stopped down the street to charge my Tesla. Awesome little burger joint. My friend said it’s quite possibly the best onion ring they ever had. Kind staff - yummy food. If you’re gonna stop to charge, you should eat here!

Located in the heart of Atascadero off of El Camino Real and the 101 right across from the park. They offer inside and outdoor patio for dining. You walk in and are immediately greeted and see the many options to satisfy your craving. I opted for the Mushroom burger and got in a 1/2lb size! Came out fresh and with the ability to take off any toppings you didn't want. I had to try some of the mushrooms before I pierced my burger together. Boy were they delicious and moist. The signs outside say "hot & juicy" boy they didn't deceive you one bit. It was messy eating, but I didn't mind. It was well worth it. I also sampled some of the fries, but nothing to write home about. I did see plenty of onion ring orders head out and those looked huge and tasty. Will have to definitely try those next time. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Even came up to my table and cleaned off my mess (sorry guys). I will definitely be back!

Great menu for burgers, also the clam chowder and onion rings are really good. Pretty fast service and staff always helpful and polite. Keep it local. Kids love it and outdoor seating is spacious. Can't lose here for the price.

5 stars if the burger’s came with fries and a drink. Bun was good, veggies were fresh and the meat was good. This was the Bacon Cheeseburger 1/3 at almost $14.

Food was cold didn't get what I ordered and heaters on cold night out of propane. Gave me take out and we ordered in house. Didn't bother asking for right order because it took soooooo long. Just sad!

Had a half hour window to get a sandwich. After watching the server play on her phone for 16 minutes. She realized she never placed the order. I was the only person there. Had to get my money back and leave. Very disappointed

The worst burger I have ever purchased was from this location. I ordered a mushroom burger . What I got was two of the most grease saturated pieces of bread one could imagine, and in between was a pile of grease soaked mushrooms and leathery lettuce. When I squeezed the burger a stream of grease would squirt out. I came to eat here 02-10-25 at 550pm . Whom ever worked the grill that day should be fired.
