Excellent food and cool looking restaurant. While the server was very nice and initially attentive, she never checked back on us after the food was delivered to get drink refills or even offer me a salt shaker. We sat there for at least 20 minutes after we were done eating with our plates pushed away and napkin covered waiting for her to bring us the check to pay.
Marisela was our server, and she did a great job! Drinks were kept refilled, and she checked on us regularly. I asked her for a side recommendation, and she said the Mac n cheese. It was so good! We also got the bacon appetizer and the ribeye- both tender, delicious, and cooked perfect!
Food is great, and this location is lovely for taking a date or having a celebration outside the home. Staff is very attentive and polite! I'd recommend ordering your steak more done than you'd actually want it, so it comes to your table at the doneness you prefer. Bread doesn't measure up to other steakhouses (less sweet, less 'fresh out of the oven'), but everything else is very nice.
The service was exceptional. We were put on the wait list, but it was worth it. I enjoyed everything we ordered. The Ceasars salad was delightful, the bread was hot when it arrived to our table. I enjoyed the Mexican street corn as much as the mashed potatoes. I did give 4 stars because of the temperature of the meat, upon arrival, it was warm, not hot. I felt this could have given 5 full stars for the food. Multiple parties were celebrating birthdays, it was a great atmosphere. I will be coming back, if I ever in the area again.
Great experience overall. Solid steak, classic atmosphere, and everything ran smoothly — honestly, the place would fall apart without managers Dom and Cindy keeping things on point. Huge shoutout to our server Amanda, who was attentive, friendly, and made lunch easy and enjoyable. Would definitely return.
Mary Lou was our waitress, and she was absolutely amazing. This was the first time being here. She recommended a beer for my husband to try, and he enjoyed it. Very knowledgeable on the menu, helped us pick out items we would possibly like and nothing disappointed. Thank you for having Mary Lou on your staff!!!
From the outside to when you first walk in, the aesthetics are just beautiful. 5 stars for that alone. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating with our party of 8. Sure we had to wait a little because we had a big party, but everything came out in a reasonable time. The steaks were really great and fulfilling. All the steak dinners come with a baked potato, everything else is ala carte. Yes it’s pricey but definitely worth going to at least once. The wait was very minimal even for our large party of 8.
Easily the best steakhouse in El Paso. I had the New York strip and couldn't have been happier. The steak was cooked perfect. Baked potato was on point. Our table ordered the potato skins, bacon and mushroom appetizers...all were amazing. Our server Estella was always attentive and a bonus for us on Thanksgiving. Could not be happier with this place
I'm very particular about steaks, and this place delivered! We stopped in on a Thursday night and were seated promptly. The wait staff was attentive and the food was prepared quickly. The steaks were cooked to perfection and cut like butter. The baked potato had a nice salt crust and came loaded. The decor was modern and inviting. It's a good spot for a date night.
Probably the best steakhouse I've ever dined at!!! The customer service was above and beyond. The food was absolutely amazing. The aged ribeye had a very distinct but pleasant flavor. I could definitely taste the difference. Be prepared to open your wallets and purses, however, the food, service, and experience was worth every penny. I will definitely be going back with my wife for another date night. A++
My server Robert was definitely one for the books! I came by Sunday morning-ish and despite my several questions about the menu and some allergies I have to deal with, Robert didn’t bat an eyelash. Attentive and overall great experience. Food was awesome! There’s never a wrong time for a steak!
My favorite restaurant in ep! Great food prices are not bad at all. Their decor is amazing. Only complaint is i been here too many times
Amazing service and experience! Ashley was super helpful and very amazing as a bartender she made the best drinks we’ve had in all locations. If you stop by for a drink 🥃 make sure to stop by the bar and ask for Ashley on airway! 🙂
The manager I believe Mathew was working on the night we had dinner, he was very friendly and came by several times to just check on us. Very respectful and professional. Food was great too. 5 stars.
I usually don’t go to West Texas Chophouse all too often, but I went with some old friends of mine. Our waiter, Robert, really helped make the experience stand out. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He was also really friendly to talk to. Rob, if you’re reading this, thank you
Alejandro was a wonderful server so friendly, so efficient and had a great sense of humor. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and marinated so tastefully. Would definitely come back here again.
Steak was ok but I’m a steak snob so it’s not fair. My server Ashley was outstanding. Very sweet and attentive
My husband and I went in for date night, and there was about a 30 min. wait, so we decided to eat at the bar... so glad we did because Aaron (bartender) was so amazing! His attitude, drinks and overall quality of service was excellent.
Just had such a fantastic family dinner with, Andrea as our server. She was so kind and attentive really reminded how important customer service is. She went above and beyond to make me and my family feel not only welcomed but special. WE WILL BE BACK! THANK YOU ANDREA.
We came here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and it was our first visit..and I’m glad we came! Atmosphere was awesome, beautifully decorated. The service was great! We had people check on us often including what was probably management. They even offered a sample of aged steak 🤯. Our food was cooked to perfection and the spinach dip was amazing! We definitely plan on coming back!
Ileana was our server and she was super sweet! She took great care of us even though it was busy. Ribeye and mushrooms were flavorful, our booth had greasy handprints on it when we were seated, but the busser wiped it down for us. Would come back, wine selection, service and food are on point.
Came here on a Friday Night for dinner. Wasn’t busy so we were seated within minutes. Large seating area, room for really large groups. Great atmosphere, the tree in the middle of the restaurant was very pretty. Server was nice, but service was just a bit slow for a place that wasn’t super busy. Got the tomahawk steak 🥩. Very impressive. I ordered it medium but it come out closer to well done than medium well. Still delicious. Wasn’t all that impressed with the onion rings or the Mac and cheese but the salad was tasty. Had a large wine menu.
Dear Chop House Restaurant Team, My wife and I wanted to share how impressed and grateful we are for the outstanding service we received from Amanda during our recent visit. From the moment we were seated, Amanda made us feel welcome, relaxed, and valued. She attended to our table with genuine warmth, patience, and professionalism — answering questions, offering thoughtful suggestions, and making sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. What stood out most was the way Amanda balanced friendliness with knowledge. She checked on us at just the right times, never rushed us, and truly made us feel like honored guests. It felt as though we were being cared for by someone who loves what she does and takes great pride in creating a memorable dining experience. Because of Amanda’s exceptional service, our visit became a first-class experience — one we will happily share with friends and family. She is an incredible asset to your restaurant and a big reason we look forward to returning. Thank you again, Amanda, for going above and beyond. Very sincerely, Mr. & Mrs. Rojas
We always have our celebrations at West Texas Chophouse and visit for happy hour. Ashley always provides great service and her cheerful demeanor is the main reason we keep coming back. I would like to add, the servers at West Texas Chophouse are all very attentive.
I keep coming back to this location because every visit has been fantastic. The food is always delicious, and this particular time I felt the need to write a review because of how wonderful the service was. Our waiter, Robert, was incredibly attentive, polite, and friendly. Robert was very knowledgeable about the menu, very easy to talk to, and a pleasure. 10/10 will be coming back!
My wife & I were traveling through El Paso the night of the freeze and we decided to stay right off the fwy and by chance The West Chophouse was directly behind our hotel. It was the best experience we’ve had at a steakhouse! Hats off to this place. This place had the whole correct vibe. We’ll stop next time we go through El Paso.
I had the Wedge salad and build your own lunch burger. The salad was balanced well. Im someone who always gets extra dressing and I didnt need to AND it was not over dressed just had the ingredients balanced right :) the burger was amazing! Juicy and flavorful! I got sautéed onions bacon and cheese :) i wasnt sure what one of the cheeses was and my fantastic waiter Justin brought me a sample to try without be asking so I could try and make an informed decision! The steak fries where crispy and fluffy 😋 I didnt realize the had 2 different breads and Justin also gave me some to take home when he saw I was disappointed for not having realized 😅. Anyone would be lucky to have Justin as their waiter. He was fast, professional, not overbearing, always showed up right when I needed him. My drink never ran out. Very courteous and made a point of making sure I was happy. Just the little things like the bread and the same of cheese are a few of the ways he showed he was paying attention and cared about his service. I suspect he is also an example of the standard , training, and expectations of the management here. They seem to all take pride in this restaurant. Price wise I consciously made the choice to spend more because of 2 seperate cravings I was having lol but I could have easily spent half the price and had an filling and flavorful lunch at a reasonable price! That lunch burger menu as an example is very affordable! Definitely head over to the west texas chop house if your in El Paso AND maybe ask for Justin 😅
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the West Texas Chop House, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family, thanks to the incredible hospitality of our waiter, Ruben. His service was nothing short of exceptional—attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Ruben went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect, making us feel incredibly welcomed and valued. A special shoutout to Cindy, the manager, who took the time to personally welcome us to the West Texas Chop House family. Her kind gesture made our visit even more memorable. From now on, every visit to El Paso will include a stop at this fantastic establishment. We simply can't imagine leaving the city without enjoying another meal here. Highly recommended!
I have been here 6 times now and the steaks are the best I have found in El Paso. But I really wanted to comment on the waitress that we got on Thanksgiving. Her name is Estella and she was so helpful and always making sure everything was good or if we needed anything. I would suggest that everyone ask for her to your waitress. I wish there was a way to let the business know how great of a job she did. If you go and eat here please ask for her you won't be disappointed.
Best experience i ever had. We had estella at the el paso location. She was amazing! Food was delicious but the way she was at our table and checking in and always making sure we were taken care of went from normal service to the best experience I ever had in el paso! If i could give 10 stars i would! Thank you and I will definitely be back!
Came here with the fam for the first time and had a great experience. We were seated and taken care of right away. Our server Elizabeth was very tentative to everything we needed. Food was good but lacking compared to the location on George Dieter. I will say however, the excellent service made it worth the visit. We will definitely be back and asking for Elizabeth !
I just gotta say by far the most beautiful experience I ever had at a restaurant. Today I brought my family and our son (barely a toddler) into this fine establishment, never have we ate here before but wanted to enjoy a nice dinner. As we walked in we were sat down in very responsive and timely matter. A very big shout out to our server Anthony he was by far one of the best serves I've ever had the pleasure to have. He was very helpful and energetic. Answered all my question without once did I feel like I was being judged. He made my family feel like we were at home eating dinner. Ontop of that after we ordered our food, he brought out our son's food first which in all my time I've never had that done before, my son was able to eat his food and enjoy himself while me and his mother waited for our food. He kept checking on us and reassured us of when our food was coming out. The manager on floor was very nice walking to all the tables even ours and asking how we were doing. He was very polite and helped us out with a couple of questions we asked. Besides the service the food was by far excellent, I can't even begin to describe the flavors from all the food highly highly recommend anyone to go there and enjoy a piece of family. Again special Shout out to our server Anthony you were amazing and definitely deserve a raise my man keep up the goodwork.
First off, this review is for Matthew. We visited WTx Chophouse to celebrate my w8fe winning an award at her work. After we were seated our waitress tended to us. as the night went on Matthew seemed to be the runner for our beverages and alcohol as well as some or half of our food items. Very polite and was right on cue with just about everything. Our waitress checked on us maybe twice dark g this whole dining time and we had to wait a few times on her but Matthew was quick to see and responded promptly! Great Guy and great service from Him!! He make our experience great and we will be visiting much more because of him!
We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at West Texas Chophouse, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing waitress, Amanda. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. She made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. Amanda was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and checked on us at all the right moments without ever being intrusive. Our drinks were always full, our food came out perfectly timed, and every request was handled with a smile and a positive attitude. Her charm, professionalism, and upbeat personality truly elevated our evening and turned a great meal into a memorable experience. If you’re dining at West Texas Chophouse in El Paso, ask for Amanda — you’ll be in excellent hands! We’ll definitely be back! 🥩🍷✨
When we got there was told it would be 45 to 60 minutes for our group of 5. We set at the bar and ordered drinked whe we waited. The bar staff were friendly and the options were plentiful and the drinks were good. The wait was a bit shorter and not all our group had arrived. They had no issue letting us just hangout at our table till the rest arrived. I had the 12 oz sirloin which came with a baked potato. I don't typically eat steak but this was a cooked perfectly, the flavor outstanding and would have again. Everyone enjoyed their meals and said they would go again.
The waitress Azia was amazing. She never turned her back to our table and was always there if we needed anything. Def. one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. Also the manager Matthew checked on us frequently. I needed to send my steak back to be cooked a little longer and he offered me soup or salad while I waited. I also wanted to make sure and say the steak temp was more my fault than the kitchen! The food was fabulous and reasonably priced for such a delicious meal. We are from Missouri and if we are ever back in El Paso, this will be the place we go!!!!
Brandon was a great bartender and provided amazing service to our group. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right mix of rustic charm and modern elegance. The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing, and every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Now, let’s talk about the steak. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I ordered the ribeye, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The sides were equally impressive—the truffle mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus complemented the meal perfectly. Every detail, from the craft cocktails to the decadent dessert, was thoughtfully executed. This place isn’t just a steakhouse; it’s a celebration of great food and hospitality. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!
Excellent experience! Definitely will be making this establishment a reoccurring habit. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and the food....simply amazing. Great steaks! Opted for thr 20oz T-bone which was cooked to perfection with a loaded baked potato. Calamari as appetizer was outstanding!
Made reservations for a birthday dinner for 6 people. It appeared that our table was not available because we were asked to wait and both hostesses disappeared for a few minutes. One returned when other patrons came in and were seated. The other hostess returned and we were seated. We ordered bone marrow to start followed by salads. We all ordered steak. When the food arrived it looked great. However, 3 of the 6 steaks were overcooked and sent back. It took a awhile for the new steaks. We were practically done when the three new steaks were brought out. The three who waited received a free dessert. The birthday boy wanted cheese cake but they were out. I was a little disappointed but all of the food was pretty good.
Came in with a large group. Our waiter Justin was on the ball from the moment we arrived. Helping decide food and drinks and making sure everyone was well taken care of. Food was great. Rare opportunity to try bone marrow and it was great! Everything everyone ordered was perfect. 5/5!
100% would eat there again. Some of the best food ever. I had the poblano soup for the first time and it was delicious. The server Azia was very attentive, even though she had multiple tables. The manager Matthew was super nice. Helping his staff to deliver food, attentive to the customers. Very polite, to customers and staff members. Thank you both (Azia and Matthew) for making our experience at the “West Texas Chop House” in El Paso the best time.
Came here for the first time for our anniversary on a little getaway to El Paso. Wonderful experience and food. The atmosphere is fun and lively. The service is great and welcoming. The food is amazing. We started out with the calamari and then the mango salad. We got a New York strip and a filet. They were both very good. We will definitely be back.
I’ve been here at least twice a month for lunch for the past two years. I always ask to sit at the bar with Ashley at the bar and she always gives me the best service. The lunch specials are also an amazing deal, especially the burger. Definitely recommend!
When you dine at the bar of a great restaurant, you always hope for a bartender who elevates the entire experience—and Ashley does exactly that. Enjoy lunch at the bar with her and you’ll be treated to charismatic, attentive service that instantly makes you feel like a regular. Her knowledge of both the menu and the drinks ensures you’ll make the perfect choice for a satisfying meal.
We go to the Airway location atleast once a week for happy hour. Ashley at the bar is great. She and the staff are very attentive and always have a great attitude. I’ve never had a bad experience there. Food and drink are delicious!!
We came here at 2pm on a Tuesday. Very slow and comfortable environment, not busy at all. Our waitress/server Amanda was amazing. The food came out at a decent time, we ordered the 6 oz sirloin & ribeye. I also ordered the peach lemonade, but was not too impressed, just wasn't what I thought it would be, tasted more like pineapple. The steaks both came with a BIG loaded baked potato! We absolutely loved the food and the environment here. Definitely recommend, if you dont like the busy environment, come during the week/lunch time. (Our first time here to this restaurant as well as first time here in El Paso, TX). Also the parking was convenient, BUT keep in. Mind, if ypu come during the weekend or on a busy time/day, youll most likely struggle to find parking.
Iliana was amazing! Prompt service and attentive. She gave spot on recommendation and was a delightful addition to the atmosphere of the restaurant. There was a great aesthetic. The artichoke dip was the only downside of this meal. The dip was extra oily and lacked flavor and seasoning, it tasted like a cheese pizza. There was no taste of spinach or artichoke. The tortilla chip had good structural integrity. Drinks were amazing . The mango and peach swirl was delicious along with the hibiscus and green apple drinks. The bread was nice and soft paired with a nice honey butter. Pomegranate salmon glaze absolutely amazing. The crust was perfect as well as the flavor of the glaze. The salmon was cooked perfectly. West Texas feast is exactly that a feast! 20oz porter house cooked to perfection and amazing seared crust flavor. The choice of fried or grilled chicken the fried was delicious. To add the shrimp skewers had a refreshing flavor and variety of vegetables.
Great experience at Texas Shrub House. The atmosphere has a classic, old-school steakhouse vibe. I ordered the Cyrano steak medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly—flavorful and absolutely delicious. Amanda was our server and she was amazing—warm, welcoming, respectful, and very professional. Her service really made the night even better. Excellent steak, great service, and a solid vibe overall. Highly recommend.
Whenever I come to El Paso, I'm going to West Texas Chophouse. They have the best steaks and the customer service is wonderful. Our waiter Isaac was awesome, he was on top of it. The chef overcooked my steak and Matthew, the manager came over right away, apologized for it and not only got me a new steak but gave us dessert also. I'm telling you, if you go to El Paso and want a delicious steak, West Texas Chophouse is the place to visit and the prices are good. We ate here two nights in a row.
Amazing experience! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our server Alan and Mathew was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Everything came out on time and with great presentation. We’ll definitely be back!
Had a great experience tonight. Elizabeth was our waiter and she made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we sat down. She was attentive, friendly, and really helpful all night. The food was also very good and came out exactly as expected. Overall, a really enjoyable visit.
Had an amazing experience at West Texas Chop House thanks to our server, Elizabeth. She was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks were always full, food came out perfectly, and she checked on us just the right amount without being overbearing. She really elevated the whole dining experience. If you’re eating here, ask for Elizabet, you won’t be disappointed!
As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and Alejandra our waitress was absolutely wonderful and gave us the most amazing first time experience offering thee best plates and celebrating our family’s gathering and ensuring we had a good time together. Thank you Ale ✨ we hope when we return you are here for a hello ✨
AMAZING experience! I’ve been to the east-side location, but the airway location was by FAR superior. Not only was our server attentive and quick, but so was the management. Jonathan went above and beyond to welcome us and check on our party to see if we needed absolutely anything! The Food was beautifully presented and tasted like heaven on earth. I definitely recommend the buffalo chicken sandwich! I’m not the type to leave reviews, but the immense amount of gratitude we received had to be acknowledged. I’m definitely sharing this experience with my friends and family! Thank you Chop House Crew!
I travel three weeks out of the month for work and try to treat myself once during the travel to a nice meal. I’m hands down impressed by West TX Chophouse. I’m used to steaks not being cooked as ordered but not here. The ribeye was perfectly marbled. Highly recommend! I definitely over ordered but also did the bone marrow which was outstanding. My server Lizzy had a full restaurant to attend to but she did it with grace. I never had an empty glass and she was consistently checking in without being interruptive. Would highly recommend. Great value too, IMO.
Stepped into West Texas Chophouse expecting classic Texas steakhouse vibes, and it delivered with a nice twist. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance: warm and welcoming the moment you walk in (think rich wood tones, soft lighting, and that subtle smell of mesquite in the air), yet it still feels a touch upscale and chic without ever crossing into stuffy territory. It’s the kind of place where you can wear boots or a blazer and fit right in. The food was genuinely tasty across the board. We went straight for the steaks and ordered the 16-ounce ribeye, cooked medium-rare. It came out textbook perfect—deep charred crust, bright pink center, juicy, and full of beefy flavor. Seasoning was spot-on, letting the quality of the meat shine. The burgers we tried (yes, we couldn’t resist) were surprisingly excellent too: thick, hand-formed patties, cooked with a nice sear and staying ridiculously juicy. Solid bun, fresh toppings—honestly one of the better steakhouse burgers I’ve had in a while. Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the pricing felt fair for the portion sizes and quality. Overall, West Texas Chophouse nails that “special night out” feel while still being relaxed enough for a weeknight splurge. If you’re craving a perfectly cooked ribeye and a comfortable, stylish room to enjoy it in, put this one on your list. Highly recommended—already planning my next visit.
My wife came into town recently and I wanted to give her a walk home to Texas dinner and West Texas chophouse did not disappoint. From the great Customer Care, after they noticed my wife did not really care for her ribeye so they offered to get her a new one cooked medium rare which made the world of a difference in the flavor.the prices and portion size of the meals the entire dinner was a great experience. I had the bone in 20 ounce ribeye with loaded baked potato while my wife had a 16 ounce ribeye and we both had a delicious Caesar salad as our appetizer. The complementary bread to kickoff the evening was really good as well. The restaurant was clean and not overcrowded and the price to food quality and amount ratio was spot on. We will definitely be back to try more of the appetizers as well as the cocktails. This place is really a Gem and I recommend you all to check it out when visiting El Paso.
We celebrated a birthday here! First visit. Food was good but service was a little slow. This was a busy Saturday night. We ordered Nachos and Calamari for our appetizers. The Nachos serving was plentiful for a table of 6. The Calamari portion was smaller and the cuts were very small, I'm use to larger Calamari cuts. I don't think anyone had complaints with their entrees once came out.
Been awhile, 6/7 years?? Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary! The atmosphere was pleasing however the music was too loud! As people came in everyone was shouting as they talked. Our waitress (Elisabeth) was courteous, smiling and prompt while serving us. 27:55 min food to table. Tables are too high for the chairs (too heavy to slide) and tables along walls to. Close together. Hit person behind getting out. It was beautiful in there and we enjoyed it. Wish they would have an enclosed cigar smoke room with drinks! We will come back, my steak and onion rings tasted heavenly. Stop in, you decide! David
Each bite of the steak was pure indulgence—juicy, tender, and charred to perfection with that buttery, almost smoky crust that gives way to a warm, blush-pink center. The flavor lingered with each chew, rich and deeply satisfying. But the star of the night? That bone marrow. Roasted until the marrow turned silky and golden, it was a savory, luscious spread—almost like meat butter—with roasted onions and peppers on top adding an earthy punch. Spread on bread or eaten straight, it melted instantly on the tongue, leaving you practically speechless. Five full stars to this restaurant—not just for the food, but for knowing how to deliver an experience that feels primal, luxurious, and worth every single bite.

Visiting from Fort Worth texas I recommend this place it's not too fancy but still nice for family dinner, date night. I will be back!
Meah was such a sweet server! Loved her energy. Food was yummy as always, and restrooms were super clean!
Food was great. I ordered the filet and it was so silky. The bread was unlike any I have had in any steak restaurant. I will go there again for sure!

It was highly recommended by a local. We had a long wait so that speaks volumes. The chairs were uncomfortable. The food was great and the service was great.
West Texas Chophouse has a nice atmosphere and great drinks. The steak tasted good, but the cooking wasn’t consistent — we ordered medium, but it came out well done. The decor is also very nice. Overall a decent spot, but pay attention to steak doneness.
The food here is above average with the steaks being cooked to proper temp each time I've visited. Service can be great or mediocre, seeming to follow certain teams. The beer and liquor offerings are decent and the wine offerings stand out.
We came here without plan, so we had to wait for about 15-20mins to be seated. The food was pretty good. The only thing I’m not satisfied is the stake was way too salty and I have to drink lots of water. The service was good and the waiters were friendly. Overall I enjoyed my dinner here with my colleagues.
Let me start by saying the food and service were fantastic once we were seated. We will definitely be back! They lost a star because when we put our name on the wait list, we were told an hour to an hour 15 wait. We went next door to the Italian restaurant for a drink and planned to return in 45 mins. After 30 mins we received a text that a table was ready and had to rush back. We then stood waiting at the front desk for 10 mins as they sat the wrong people at a table and tried to get it sorted out. When we finally did get a table, we were put next to a large group, in a room that echoed, at a table that was so wide we could barely hear each other speak. We were then lucky enough to find two open seats at the bar instead. The experience greatly improved from that point on.
West Texas Chophouse has has been on our list for some time. The food is great, and definitely will not disappoint. Take a chance on some not so normal steak menu items. My daughter enjoyed the pasta so much. It was rich and flavorful with freshly grilled tender chicken. I tried the salmon with vegetables and was impressed. Even the kids menu is expansive beyond mac n cheese. While the food in place were lovely, I must say. The service was very slow. We had plenty of time. And we are a very patient family. We felt it was worth the wait, but definitely not normal. We did notice that both the hostess lady and our waitress. Both never smiled and did not seem very happy tonight but hey we get it, service industry can be tough. There is construction in the area. So it's a bit difficult to get in and parking can be tough, so be prepared. Ultimately, if you have some time and a little patience, the meal is worth the wait.
I really enjoyed the food, especially the meat, which was very good and of great quality. Overall, I had a nice experience at the restaurant. However, the service could improve a bit, as it took quite a long time for the staff to clear the plates we had already finished using from the table. Aside from that, the food is definitely worth it.
Very nice restaurant overall. Atmosphere was nice, semi-casual but relaxed, peaceful ambiance. Service was good, after we got our food the server stopped by slightly less, which wasn't really a problem other than needing refills and a couple other items. The food was great, steak was perfectly cooked, baked potato well loaded. The Pasta Primavera was delicious, but slightly bland, in need of salt. It would be nice if they provided salt and pepper on the tables instead of having to ask. Overall price was very affordable for the location and quality of food.
my steak was perfect and delicious, but my husband's steak was overcook and hard to chew, and needed more flavor. even though we order the same thing . My Potatoe was not done yet I couldn't eat it. Service, was nice but very slow. Drinks were great. For the price and place I expected a little bit better.

Kind of expensive, but fabulous steaks! Wish the wines were cheaper, or they had lower-end options for less, if they insist on a big markup.
Enjoyed the restaurant before my flight. It's close to the airport. Beautiful inside, romantic. Nice stop on my way back to Florida.

Honestly I was expecting a bit more from this place. Very nice atmosphere, but the chairs are so low it made you feel like a little kid again trying to reach the table. The appetizers were decent, if a but greasy... We the queso with chorizo on it and the spinach dip (which tasted kind of like seafood...I didn't read the description so I'm not sure why) My group ordered two of the big family-style steak dinners, and the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. We ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out very unevenly, with quite a bit of it dry and overcooked. The ribeye was stringy, with unrendered fat that took away from the texture. The best part of the meal was the corn brulee, which was really yummy. Several in my group had stomach aches afterward (I think it was only those who are the macaroni and cheese). The water definitely is not filtered, or the filter is long past its useful life. When I mentioned it to the server, he said I just must not be used to "El Paso water," but every other restaurant here I've ordered water at had been just fine, so it's definitely the restaurant, not the town.
The service was fantastic but your grill guys don't know how to cook a regular steak. Glad I didn't order the dry aged because bros would've ruined it. Went around 2:30. Fire your cooks or train them better. For context, I always order a steak a step down from the level of how raw I like it in this city (Mexicans love jerky from the grill for whatever reason) I ordered medium well. Got a medium. The bacon in the bake potatoe was burnt also lol come on people. First impressions are everything guys. Your servers are cool though.
really wanted to like this place because the food itself actually tastes good and the restaurant has a nice, slightly upscale feel. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadows everything else. From drinks to appetizers to main dishes, everything takes an unusually long time to arrive. Even placing an order feels like a drawn-out process, and once you do, the wait to actually receive your food is just as frustrating. A dining experience is about more than just the taste of the food, and here the poor service makes it hard to enjoy the meal at all. Despite the appealing atmosphere, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant, timely, and enjoyable dining experience. This is my second time here and felt like I should give it a second chance but some would say, if I did not learn my lesson from the first one but I try to give a second the benefit of the doubt, and it has served me well and allowed me to change my review but not this one.
Food was okay. Neither of us got a steak though so maybe that was the problem since I guess that's their thing. Appetizer was overpriced considering how it was prepared. 5 small Mexican street corn on the cob pieces. Most of what was on the corn came off when you picked it up. The service was good. I appreciated that the hostess honored my request to sit at a booth (she initially tried to put us at a small table for 2 right next to the restroom). The decor and overall vibe were nice. The 3 stars is mostly because of the food. We could have spent less than half of what we did here getting equally satisfying fast food.
So first I would like to say that I went in for a to go order. We got the 8 oz sirloin and a steak mango salad. Spent $50 on two meals. Also. The bartender we ordered with was so nice and even gave my daughter a lemonade while we waited for our food. We took the order to the hotel, and the steak was not chopped or anything and there were only plastic utensils that couldn't cut through the sirloin. I had to eat it with my hands basically. The salad was completely dry, there was no dressing at all. There were no mangos so they used strawberries. And the steak was honestly pretty tough considering it was a chophouse. I guess I expected more cause it looked like a really legit chophouse, and had the "Famous Dave's" or something on it.
For the first time I was disappointed in the food. The server, Angel was attentive, polite and professional. But the medium rare steak was dry and the sweet tea lacked sweetness. 2nd time at the …

Not impressed. 1st time eating here. Waitress did not listen to us when we ordered. Everything came out wrong. My plate had things missing which I blame the cook. Bread they served was not fully cooked, raw dough in the middle. Soda pop had a bit of mildew taste probably from dirty hoses. No salt or pepper on the table.
The appetizer was great. Ordered drinks, and they say at the counter for 15 min. Main dish ordered the WTC family meal. They were out of a side and the mashed potatoes had no flavor. Found a hair in my steak. Overall not happy.
Before I begin, I want to give praise to our server, Andrea, was amazing. My only disappointment was not giving us a heads up that the kitchen "was a disaster" until AFTER we ordered. This was my very first time at West Texas Chophouse. Usually, we never go there because we've heard its expensive. But, this is what my mother in law (MIL) selected so we went. We got to the restaurant at approximately 6:45pm. We ordered roughly around 7pm-ish and got our food at nearly 9pm. The restaurant closes at 10pm. Obviously, none of that was Andrea's fault; she did her job amazingly well overall. I gave 3 stars to atmosphere bc it was kind of cold. That would've been great on a sweltering hot, summer day. But a cold December night? Nope. I gave zero stars to the food. I ordered a chicken tortilla soup that was delivered at the very last and upon receiving, it was cold and salty. I tried to eat it so as to not dampen our party (it was my MILs birthday) but it actually started to hurt my stomach due to the saltiness, so I stopped eating it. I've had different variations of the same dish at other restaurants and homemade. While they all have had each their unique spin, they were always served HOT and NOT with what tasted like 5 tablespoons of salt. I feel that it was over-hyped and overpriced. $10.99 for that bowl of chicken tortilla salt. Guess I should stick to eating at home just like everyone will say! Honestly, in this case, it could've saved me the experience. 10 out of 10, will not return. Sorry.

Literally went back a day after and had the SAME plates: this time around the pasta was FULL OF GREASE, we had to return it. This time around the steak was DRY and the service was bad. Not coming back sadly. Great food. Tres leches not so good. Cake is literally hard. That’s the only reason I give them 4 stars. I will be back to try another dessert. Stake was SO GOOD!
This restaurant survives on ambiance alone, because everything beyond that is a complete failure. The food was shockingly poor — bland, low-quality, and absolutely not worth the outrageous prices they dare to charge. The steaks, in particular, were tough, poorly prepared, and comparable to something you’d expect from a bargain freezer aisle, not a supposedly reputable establishment. Service was equally disappointing. Our server moved at a glacial pace, lacked any sense of professionalism, and seemed completely disengaged from their job. For the prices on this menu, basic competence should be the minimum. The only redeeming part of the evening was the busboy, who showed more attentiveness and courtesy than the actual server assigned to us. It’s a sad day when the highlight of a dining experience is the person clearing the table, not the food or the service. Overall, this place is a masterclass in missed potential and inflated pricing. I cannot recommend it.
I can't believe that the employees of West Texas Chophouse don't know where they are located. I wasted 15 minutes to get an answer where this restaurant is located on Airway in El Paso Texas. So how do there employees make it to work each day 🤔 If your employees don't know the location of your restaurant, I could imagine the service at West Texas Chophouse. The only reason I'm going to this restaurant. It's my daughter's birthday today. She wants to go eat at this restaurant. I give this restaurant a 0. West Texas Chophouse let all your employees know where your restaurants are located. Simple little question and your employees can't answer where your restaurants are located. Bad 👎 After going to your George Dieter restaurant. Great place to take my wife for her birthday anniversary. Customer Services: great. Food: excellent and delicious. Cleanest: perfecto.!!! Waitress: Very courteous. For your (AIRWAY) location, I will don't go there. The manager has no people skills. Didn't want to take my call. This was around 10:30 a.m... Employees have no idea where they are located on (AIRWAY Blvd) I waited for 15 minutes so two of your employees can tell me they didn't know where your location is located on (AIRWAY BLVD) in El Paso Texas. West Texas (CHOPHOUSE) on George Dieter, with a wonderful and enjoyable place to have dinner with my daughter my son-in-law and with my wife. A waiter dropped a towel on the floor accidentally, and another employee ask him politely pick up the towel he dropped. That's team work.!!!
My steak was terrible!!! I am still not convinced it was real beef! I'm at Ruth's Chris right now as I practice OMAD and cannot allow that food to be all I consume for today. My server was awesome, very sweet and kind, but the food ruined it for me. The asparagus was good.
Went in on Sunday for a company Christmas outing and I understand it’s a weekend, we expected a wait, but this was one of the worst experiences at this restaurant. My daughters love West Texas and we go very frequently to the East location, but decided on a mid point for all our co workers was this one. We waited 1 hr to be seated (totally fine) but when we finally got to order there was a lot of things no longer available, we managed and ordered. Waited about another 1-1.5 hrs for the food to come out and not one of the 6 steaks came out properly cooked. Sent back a couple and they came out just as dry as the last ones, the macaroni and cheese was dry, and the baked potatoes were rock solid. We felt bad for our waitress and just decided we didn’t want to deal with complaining anymore. The manager was called and some of the steaks were taken off the tab, but this was just a horrible experience. Understandable for the wait, but the food being served the way it was, was unacceptable. Don’t know if it was late and it was rushed.. twice, but we had been there 3-4 hours before closing.
Liked the atmosphere, the waitress was polite but had to apologize three times for the delay on our food. She was still professional about it. My steak was not pink or juicy, it was jerky dry and not medium! Glad to be visiting and I’ll find better in Dallas!
First visit and definitely my last. I ordered the 8 oz. filet mignon and got a half-burned, sad excuse for a steak instead. The side was a lonely potato, and there was some kind of dried, black smear on the plate that looked more like a mistake than a sauce. Not what you expect when ordering a filet.
Very poor experience at this location, my family and I went to celebrate a birthday ultimately resulting in her being upset and crying over the situation were we not only received our food after waiting a while but was cold trying to be understanding of the busy atmosphere our server who was great during the entire night took the food back we had different management employees come to us but ultimately the food continued to come out cold frustrated and after 3 hours of eating we decided to not wait to eat there and rather take it home the only compensation the management offered were free beers (I don’t even drink alcohol) they did offer the birthday girl a coupon for a next visit and ultimately we were still given the full bill as separate checks were needed while trying to make the best out of a horrible experience I arrived home hopeful to eat the steak I waiting over 4 hours for for it to not be fully cooked (Photo below) steak was asked medium to medium rare Again I would emphasize our server I don’t remember his name was amazing he was truly trying to help and try to make a bad night somewhat better but definitely poor service by management and food quality
