Absolutely amazing service! Omar truly went above and beyond for us,you can feel how much he cares. Not only was everything handled perfectly, but Omar also had us laughing the whole time. It’s rare to find service this good and this genuine. Highly recommend to ask for Omar to serve you!!!
Our server Allison was amazing! She was so attentive to our needs and offered great recommendations. We enjoyed the $4 Thursday margarita deal with the BBQ Platter for 3 people. Thursdays are kareoke night and you can chose to sit in either that area or a quieter dinning area.
We had our son's graduation party here and I can't express how awesome the process and experience was. Letty (GM) was professional yet so warm and inviting, we immediately knew we were in great hands. When we signed our contract and picked our menu, we also met our server, and Oscar did not disappoint! The day of, he took care of us, and gave great customer service! We felt right at home and did not feel like we were at a restaurant. Food was superb 👌🏼 and all of our guests were very happy and satisfied as well. I will recommend having a party at this venue, and we look forward to doing it again! Thank you Letty & Oscar! ❤️
My experience there was very genuine I love the treatment they gave us the service is supreme specially with their floor manager Leticia very nice host she even helped my mother walk inside the restaurant she noticed my mother was in pain and didn't hesitate twice to lend her a hand walked her all the way to the table where we were going to sit bless her heart our waitress was Alice she was also awesome the food was amazing highly recommend the place the environment is awesome very welcoming oh yeah they also have karaoke night so if you like to sing Hit It Up
Great steak and fantastic service. My waitress was always one step ahead of me, treated me like royalty. Attentive to little things, like getting me extra butter or a preemptive refill. The rib eye tasted good. The loaded baked potato wasn't anything to write home about, but I didn't come for the potatoes and everything else was fantastic. Restaurant was also very clean with vibrant decor and artwork.
The best rib eye steak sandwich IMO. It’s so dam tender it comes apart easy with just a bite. Choice of steak fries, reg or beans n slaw. You can also buy their steak seasoning 9.99 a jug. This location has a nice decore and bar seating. My waitress was so friendly, great fast service for lunch. Food in under 15min at 1:30pm. They serve fresh hot rolls with butter while u wait. Effing delicious! Easy off/ on highway i10 exit ramp on the TX-NM border in Anthony TX. I love this place. I stop by every time I’m nearby just to tan their Cajun seasoning. Big parking lot. Can accommodate 18 wheelers.

Came in 12/12/25, we were waited by Omar! Omar is absolutely amazing from the moment we sit down, very fast, prompt, and served a wonderful meal. The food was 10/10 I think me and my buddy ordered every side and the largest steaks they served a wonderful experience and the manager she was wonderful as well but unfortunately didn’t get her name best steak house around we had west Texas chop house last night and this one blew it away
I love coming to eat here. Staff is always welcoming and have such a good attitude. Me and my family enjoy being served by Omar, not only is he attentive he’s just so easy to talk to. Highly recommend coming here and a huge plus if Omar serves you.
Venus was so amazing helping me get a last minute order placed to save our Christmas gathering! She made some suggestions to make sure we had everything we needed for a memorable dinner. Forgot to post this last night, but Omar was our server and he was awesome and very attentive. The food was delicious 10/10. Was quite busy when we got there , but still were treated in a timely manner and had no complaints. Also, a big shout out to the buss boy. I don't think I saw any dirty tables while I was there. He was picking up empty plates all while we were there. You don't see that much in restaurants. Loved this place and will go back!
We had a group of 40 people in a private room and Sandra was the manager. We had some guests in our group that were rude and ridiculous and she was outstanding. She remained calm and professional even thru their rants. We will definitely have another group party here becauseof her and the way she remained calm. This night, valeria and vanely were our servers and they received the brunt of the complaints. They also handled everything very professionally. Amazing service!! Please recognize these people for their outstanding service!
I want to highlight the stupendous service that manager Sandra (Sandy) provided throughout the entire process of organizing our Christmas dinner for my work agency. From start to finish, she helped me every step of the way and took the time to thoroughly explain every detail of the contract. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and able to answer all of my questions and concerns, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free. Although Sandy was unable to stay for the event on 12/26/2025, she made sure everything was seamlessly relayed to manager Santiago, who took excellent care of us during the event. He ensured everything ran perfectly. A special shoutout to our waitresses, Marlyn and Vanely, who did an outstanding job managing drink and food orders for our group of 34 people. Their attentiveness and professionalism did not go unnoticed. I received numerous compliments from my coworkers and family, and it was all thanks to this incredible team. Do not hesitate to reserve an event at Great American Steakhouse on Airway Blvd. You will not regret it!
What a wonderful time we had! Cailegh is the best server!! She was so helpful and kind. It was my nephews birthday and we had like 20 people/ the food was delicious! We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Great American Steakhouse, and Valeria made it even better! From the moment we walked in, her cheerful attitude and genuine kindness made us feel right at home. She was not only super attentive but also had a great sense of humor, which made our meal that much more enjoyable. I had a great experience at Great American on Airway. My server, Erick, was excellent. He was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, even while taking care of several other tables. (Probably the most hustle I’ve seen in a while from a server) My food came out quickly and was served hot and fresh. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. I’ll definitely be coming back because of the great food and outstanding service. 10/10

We've been there many many times, but yesterday, they were not up to par. I understand they were very very short handed which made it so hard for our waitress I felt sorry for her. We ended up here for Christmas dinner after forgetting to make plans. The service was not great. We were seated fairly quickly as it wasn't very busy yet, but were not even approached by a server to order drinks for at least 15 minutes. We were not made aware that their special menu prices didn't apply that day until we tried to order. The food was definitely not up to par. The sirloin my boyfriend ordered medium rare came out more well done, and was not even a sirloin steak cut but more of a thin skirt cut. It looked like the same type of meat that was sliced up for my steak tacos, which was covered in fat and barely sliced up. Server barely came back to check on us, we had to ask another server for drink refills, and we ended up having to call the manager over to fix multiple issues. Not sure if it was due to the holiday but even still they weren't that busy.
I remember when this place was solid. Delicious food, great service, fun atmosphere. The new menu is not good. Nothing at all what this place used to be. The service was bad because they were seriously under staffed for a friday night. The new ownership strikes me as privileged wanna be's. the downfall of this once wonderful restaurant is offensive to me because these are easy problems to fix but it seems like the arrogance and lack of competence of the owners cant look past their own egos to get some real help besides their own self absorbed obviously terrible executive decisions and its the yes people around them that keeps their ego afloat instead of their restaurant. I had the ribeye tacos, meat was chewy and mostly flavorless. I coulda got a better steak from denny's for a way better price too. we had a 9 top, and almost no one finished their plate, you can tell how dissatisfied everyone was with the food. Dont even get me started on the social media marketing for this place. worse then the food ill just say that. the only thing saving this place for now is the location and atmosphere/alcohol. but soon more will catch on about how terrible this place has gotten. I'll never be back here again unless i see some positive changes before hand somewhere. This is the third time in a row ive been here this year where the food an service were terrible. it really pisses me off for many reasons. the new owners need to sell this place to someone that knows what they're doing and find a new day job because obviously they have zero clue whats going on.
The kitchen is slow and the servers could use a bit more direction, training and support from upper management. The food is good (much better than what is has been in the past). Also, if you haven't been to this location in a while, the menu has changed and they bring out to-go containers to serve your coleslaw and beans in rather than actual bowls like they had in the past. I also have issue with the wine bottles they have repurposed on the tables for water. I don't mind that they are being reused for this, I have issue with the fact that they look like they were taken out of the garbage bin and filled. The labels were peeling or an attempt had been made to peel them but they didn't do it all the way. The bottles just looked dirty. Just my two cents.

Thought I try salmon for the first time even though it’s not a sea food place. Well I shouldn’t had gone with my gut. I’ll never order fish at a steakhouse. Horrible Manager (Daisy) Experience: I do not ever leave bad reviews, but this is one is necessary. I visited Great American at Vinton for the second time in the past month only to find they once again do not have any Filet Mignon’s. First time I ordered the salmon instead and this time my friend and I decided to share the T-Bone - Medium. When we got it, I cut it up so we could share only to notice it was completely rare, we let our waiter (the bartender) know and he immediately sent it back. They allegedly tried to re-cook the cut up pieces and it came back still rare (I have photos). We let him know and he apologized and sent it back. We asked if we could get a new steak so this one wouldn’t be cooked for a third time. We received a new steak and the minute we cut into it AGAIN it was rare. We let him know and he said give me a minute. That’s when the manager Daisy showed up at our table and said “YES” in a very rude tone. Granted we didn’t ask for her so that was an extremely inappropriate way to treat your customers. We told her our steak was rare and she said “IS IT” I put my flashlight to it and she grabbed the plate, said “we’ll remove it from your bill” and walked away. No sorry, no can we get you anything else? I have never encountered anyone so rude especially in the service industry. We were patient and not rude in anyway for having to wait 45 mins to not ever getting a meal and sharing a side of grilled veggies for dinner. Your manager Daisy needs to learn customer service and should not be serving in a manager role!!! We support local restaurants, but please do not treat tour customers with such disrespect, when we did nothing wrong other than bot want to eat bloody raw meat. Very disappointed with our visit and sad to say we will never return.
I went for Valentine's with my friends. They didn't have any Cabernet from any brand, no cauliflower appetizer, and no dessert. They were understaffed and unprepared for Valentine's Day. I'm not going back to this location. The waitress was nice and professional.
Mice this location in Vinton has mice. I come here about every 2 weeks, the service is always great, the food is good. Until yesterday morning I was eating with my husband to celebrate early valentines. When I finish my food I see a mice go across the dining room into the kitchen. But not just 1 I saw one more after this. I was in disbelief I paid my ticket and will never return. It did not stop there my husband and I are walking to our car when we see mice outside the front door hiding into the bushes right infront, this is a mice infestation. What happened to great American, ever since they change management it has gone down. Great American needs to take action.
Today was my 55th birthday and being from Anthony wanted to go back to a treasured restaurant as my grandfather was one of the contractors that built Great American in Vinton. After horrible service and poor management treatment 2yrs ago I stopped going. My parents recently started going back and they have enjoyed their plates, however, they apparently specialize in their common basic platters. For my birthday I ordered a Cabernet, they had NO Cabernet at all, my mom ordered hot tea, they had NO hot tea. I asked for a filet minion but they do NOT carry it, I ordered the 10oz ribeye medium topped with sautéed mushrooms. There are pictures on the menu of what the temp looks like & it came to me cooked Well done!!!! Very dry and charred, no juice, it was leather. My baked potato ordered with sour cream, butter & chives, came with NO butter, 1tsp of sour cream (tiny dollop) on the edge of the potato and sprinkled with about 4 dried chives. (I could count them) the mushrooms came in a 2 oz plastic container very dry, obviously not sautéed, & seemed to be from a can, I asked for A-1 to juice it up and was still only able to eat 1/4 of the steak. When addressing anything to the waitress she would correct my observation to be incorrect and would leave, no apologizes not even a happy birthday, manager never came out. My moms shrimp scampi was good and my dads ribeye tacos ordered Well done was good and very juicy. If you want a ribeye at Vinton Great American order the ribeye taco, it’s served as a whole steak just cut in strips and all toppings, tortillas, side item on the side and you’ll save yourself $10 and get a much better steak.
I visited Great American for a birthday celebration this past December 18th, 2025, and I hate to say... it was not the amazing experience it had been in prior occasions. I understand that service during the holidays can be slow, but we waited more than an hour for our plates, after placing the order. On top of that, management didn't seem to interfere when we addressed a group that was dinning in the same section. The group of five men were standing behind their chairs and yelling off the top of their lungs, while watching football, as if they were in their own back yards. Great American is not a sports bar, managers should protect the dinning experience. Many other tables complained to no avail. It was clear that they had one too many and should have been cut off. Needless to say, they eventually left and the dining experience improved. Just when I thought this entire ordeal was in the rear view mirror, I received my credit card statement for the card I used to pay at Great American, and discovered many purchases had been made with my card at different places in El Paso. I recall paying and noticing that rather than using a machine in the same room, my card was handed to a different server, who walked away with it. I questioned the why? and was told that the one next to my table was acting up. To managerial staff at Great American, I humbly and respectfully ask that if perhaps, I'm not the only one with this credit card problem, that you consider the possibility that one of your servers is swiping credit card information.
The rolls were brought out tucked in a cloth napkin suggesting they were warmed but were not. The beer cheese appetizer with chips had no distinguishable taste with a lumpy texture. The main course had a hair in it which I had to pull out of my mouth. Didn't enjoy this 80$ experience. They took the hair burger off the bill but still... 80$ for a 14oz steak,1 beer and some broken cheese sauce. Hard pass next time
It was an empty resturant withbmore waiters thant customers thwy ask us to wait to be seated for more than 5 minutes and it was because the hostess was talking with a waiter about personal stuff. We were seated and not greetwd by any of the 6 waiters standing around, that instead of taking our drink order were busy talking. We decided to leave as we waited for more than 15mins because my young child asked for a drink and no one came by. As we were exiting there was a party of 6 that were still waiting to be seated that arrived next to us, and also decided to go due to the poor service and to top it off the manager (black shirt) was in the front taping Christmas decorations instead of attending to the clients or managing the floor
I was really hoping our experience would be like the 5 stars we saw before visiting. Our visit was Wednesday 10/29. Our reservation was at 7. We didn’t leave till 10:15! The service was incredibly delayed. We got sat right away, but didn’t get drinks till 30 mins later. We ordered our food at 7:40, and didn’t get the food until 8:50. We had to return 2 steaks that were over cooked. It was such a long night for a slow Wednesday turn out. The service was slow. And the manager recognized it was a long wait time but didn’t bother to comp anything. She simply said they were training people. This experience was drawn out and disappointing. A table of 10 with split checks were still charged a gratuity percentage. So she walked away with $65 for mediocre service and long wait times. Let’s just say we won’t be returning.
