First time here. Will take up to 6 people for dine in at hibachi. Brought entire family here to celebrate Father's Day 2020 on Saturday, 20JUN because have to work tomorrow during actual. Haven't had hibachi since Lawton and always looked at this place since we constantly shop at El Super. Having stepped in, it was a very nice ambience with koi and baby turtles swimming in their indoor pond. Upon sitting down due to COVID19, bar scanned the menu located at the corners of the hibachi table. Well distances from other patrons so this establishment is very safe. High school daughter ordered sushi so they will take sushi orders at the hibachi table. Our chef was entertaining with the flip and catch on your mouth broccoli. Everything cooked to defection with my filet mignon and lobster exactly as ordered, medium.

It was my first time trying this kind of food. Place was nice & cook was great. He entertained us. I'll be coming back for sure when we're in El Paso again.

I have ordered at the family grill area when we've wanted to be entertained by the cook, but lately I've been ordering from the Booth seating, because I have come to enjoy the California roll dinner, served with Miso soup and ask for the ginger dressing to dip the rolls in. Service is always professional and courteous, and the rolls are delicious. Next time I will take pictures.

The person we had cooking our food was very entertaining and had us laughing the entire experience. I ordered the seafood delight with fried rice. He didn't overcook the scallops nor the lobster and everything was tasty. It was overall a great experience.

Overall excellent experience and the food was delicious. Had the steak & shrimp, calamari appetizer and a sushi sampler. The dude behind the table was awesome and put on a show. Waiter was on point. Only minor complaint would be the girls up front that seat, or at least put you in line. Not very inviting or friendly. Other than that, it was a great experience and would definitely eat there again.

Always have a good experience here. Fun time for the kids at the grill and sushi is always good too.

It's a great place! Lots of fun and food is amazing. We ate ate the grill and our chef was very entertaining!

Very nice restaurant. Large areas for dinings with separated areas for sushi and hibachi divided with a large beautiful koi pond. Sushi portions were generous and presentation was great. We had chicken fried rice which could of used a little more flavored but was good. The sashimi Felix plate was wonderful wth 18 pieces made up of 5 different fish nicely displayed on a large plate with shredded daikon radish and an orchid. It was a good experience.

My family and I love going to Hayashi. We have been there so many times and it never gets old. The show is always good the staff is always so kind and we always feel very at ease and welcomed. I love the food there specially the hybashi and the sushi, though the sushi was pretty small this time around, but tasted amazing. Also, you have to try the sake bombers, trust me IT IS SO MUCH FUN!!!! I hope you get to enjoy Hayashi as much as I do.

A wonderful place to enjoy a delicious meal with close friends and beloved family members.

We showed up on a busy night and we're told that my family of 5 would have to wait up to an hour, yet they had us seated within 15 minutes. Our waiter, Juliana, was incredibly attentive and friendly. Even before we got the hibachi, he had already made the night. Our hibachi chef was energetic and very friendly. He was good with the kids and adults. The food was very good and we got plenty for the price. We will definitely come back!

Best food and entertainment you can have with the hole family, you just have to bring the family to enjoy.

Great place to celebrate a special occasion. I would recommend to order from the section where cook comes out and prepares it for you. Cost around $48 per person, that’s including a soft drink. I wouldn’t eat here on weekly basis, it does take a while to get your food but that’s the point of this place. The cook puts on a show.

My first time doing a hibachi grill and omg is this place amazing!! I got the steak and shrimp combo with the fried rice. The show the chef put on was the most incredible thing I've ever seen done with food. I'm definitely hooked on this place and will definitely be going back! I knew it was going to be good when we got there 20 minutes before they opened for dinner and there was already about 30-40 people lined up waiting for them to open.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hayashi with Chef Michael El Flaco, and the experience was exceptional! His culinary expertise is unmatched—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. His passion and skill really made the meal unforgettable. Highly recommend Chef Michael for an amazing dining experience at Hayashi!

Damn.... This place is awesome! We went for the first time today and we really enjoyed it! Our chef was Armando and he did an excellent job! Great food and great entertainment perfectly balanced! The service from the wait staff is outstanding and definitely way above average. The food was very tasty and very well prepared. We got the California rolls and the shrimp tempura as well as the steak and chicken combo. The egg rolls were fresh and made to perfection. The steak was perfect. The drinks were thirst quenching...The portion could definitely be bigger on the steak but I'm not complaining... Seriously though. I really recommend this place for a birthday or definitely a fun night! Definitely go with people that are outgoing and let loose here! I'm definitely going back soon or at least for MY birthday. Great job Hayashi! Keep up the great job and great atmosphere!

This place doesn't disappoint, so far every time me and the family have come out here; it's been nothing but alot of laughs, great food and even cool chats with other families at grill. They cook my steak perfect every time.

I am from the north, when I saw the price of sushi, I considered if it was priced in Pesos. I read on here that others were put off by the price, I was not. It is at least 50 percent less than what I am used to paying. Picture provided. That aside, I thought the portions were generous, the food was excellent and the service was superior. We ate well. Couldn’t finish and I our bill was $50. I was quite pleased.

Went on Friday 4/28/23 around 11:15 am. Restaurant does not have reservations it's first come, first serve. Arrived and had to wait approximately 10 to 15 mins before seated. Ordered hibachi lunch combination allows you to pick 2 proteins. (Steak, chicken, shrimp) $20 as of this review. $2 more for fried rice for 2 people or more. Ordered lunch sushi 2 rolls for $12. Spicy tuna and spicy salmon. It's not the best sushi, in my opinion. Seaweed was very rubbery. Service from the waiter and chef was excellent, and the chef sang happy birthday to my boyfriend, so that was nice. We had the whole hibachi show to ourselves since we had arrived shortly after they opened. One suggestion I have is to not get sesame seeds added to the rice. It makes the texture very hard (like you are eating hard rice). I would not add seasme again. The food was good and I would visit again.

I friggin love this place. Always a great meal with a fair portion. I got the lunch portion of broiled teriyaki chicken with veggies and fried rice. Then a side of tempura shrimp at $2 per piece. I’m full. Great service clean and fair prices.

One of the best teppanyaki and sushi restaurant in El Paso. The staffs were very friendly with kind hospitality. Great vibes full with laugh and smile. I would recommend shrimp and steak hibachi combo. The proteins well seasoned with the hint of lemon. The garlic fried rices was very perfumed with butter and garlic. Very delicious.

A very nice place with a great atmosphere. Great wait service and the food was great, fresh, good potion, very well presented and very flavorful. Did not have to wait very long to sit and from ordering to the meal coming out was pretty quick. One of the best parts was the waitress and the superb service she provided. Not once did my yea glass go past halfways empty, thats how you know they are paying attention to the client. The cheese cake and fried ice cream were great desserts to top it all off. A definite must.

Food had good flavor and it was a fun experience

I love this kind of place. The person preparing the grilled portion of the order has to be very skilled, and they are. The service is great, the bartender is the best, but the flavor was average in the case of the meat and for the price, it's a little expensive. I would expect more. The scallops and shrimp, however, were really good, as was the rice. As I said, the bartender is the best, and they have a drink called dragon blood that I highly recommend. It's served in a martini glass, looks awesome, and tastes incredible refreshing.

It might have rated higher if we didn't go so close to closing. We were the only ones at our table and they sat us to the side of the grill instead of in front so I couldn't hear the chef. They didn't proactively refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything but the food was delicious and the chef was talented.

Visited last night for hibachi (wife) and sushi (myself). Wife's hibachi was okay. Not great, but just okay. Meat was cooked perfect, but veggies and fried rice were super salty. Sushi. I ordered a rainbow roll and spicy crunchy white fish roll. First thing I will tell you is that the rolls are very large diameter wise. Difficult to eat. Secondly, the white fish must have been carp. It was tough to chew and extremely fishy (sushi should never be fishy). I know we are hours from the ocean, but it was no different in Ohio, given the distance to water. Yet sushi was extremely fresh there. We will keep searching for a Japanese Hibachi/sushi place in El Paso. Service was outstanding though.

Very large selection of great food! It is a busy place even on week nights but has plenty of parking space. Excellent service during my visit and facility is well maintained and sanitary. Face mask and temperature check required upon entry.

Foods always good, entertaining and the chefs are fun. The bathroom was in complete disarray, dim and one heck of a sticky floor. Always tend to judge a place on how well they keep up with the bathroom, gives you an idea of how well the rest of the place is taken care of.

I prefer to go during the lunch hour for prices and quality of service. If you plan on going around 5 or 6 during the weekend it's always packed and you will be waiting. The food has never disappointed me and I have been to this place at least 10 times in the past two years. There is a hibachi side and a sushi side. The dinner portion is huge! Salad, soup, rice, vegetables, and choice of meat. The prices for dinner are around $20-$30. Would I recommend? Yes Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes.

Well I went to dinner there for Valentine's days. My husband was holding our son and trying to calm him down so I can eat. The cook was very rude about Mexican women should be the one watching the kids. After that comment. The whole table was looking at me. The cook was unprofessional and made rude comments about my husband who is white. He speaks some Spanish more then me while I don't speak any. The cook thinking because my husband is white he could talk shit about my husband in Spanish. My husband said a couple words in Spanish and he started talking shit about me. My husband was not happy about it. I was so excited to come here. I will never come here again.

Great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Love the showmanship... food was good, but it wasn't great. And for the prices they charged, I don't feel I got my money's worth. I ordered the steak and chicken, it was a tiny amount of steak with lots of fat, and the chicken they served was dark meat (looked like thighs). They serve u plenty of vegetables and rice at least, I assume to help fill u up. But for the $30 a plate price tag and the 18% included tip for large groups....my $100+ tab did not feel worth the experience.

Have to give 4 stars off the bat due to it being really hot inside. Though if the AC was kicking, would give them 5 stars. As for the service and food, I would have to give 5 stars. We had a party of 6 and the waiter was so attentive and expedient. If you go on the weekend, it’s hard to get a seat at a grill without reservations. Though if you don’t mind sitting at a table, it’s not a long wait. Nice aesthetics with the coy fish pond and waterfall.

For 15dlls I think this portion is extremely small, I have been to others hibachis and there is plenty of food, disapointed at this place because of this, and the yum yum sauce taste like mayo, worst yum yum sauce ever.

First off, the cleanliness was lacking. The women's bathroom was super sticky. There are no mats by the sink and therefore I almost slipped. That is an OSHA violation. The service for drinks was great. Our chef, well poor guy tried but the food was lacking. The steaks our table ordered varied styles but in the end the steaks were all cooked the same way. The seafood lacked quality, I bet it was farm raised.

Ambiance and service were good. The quality of the food (and/or) the preparation were sub par. Had the filet and scallops, filet was overcooked (asked for medium-rare and received closer to well done). Seasoning on the scallops was not good. Maybe it was an off night, but I don't think l will give it another try.

Thats the place to go if you r looking for hibachi grill. Food taste and presentation are not quite impressive, I would spend the same amount of money to get other Japanese food in town. All food for hibachi r cooked with the same sauce, kinda boring. You will probably have a problem ordering food if u r a vegetarian.

okay prices for sushi. it was so so. we ordered summer roll and the eel roll with the hayashi udon. I was practically done with my sushi before my husband's soup came out. not too impressed with this place. perhaps the hibachi side is better...

So to start off it was my birthday dinner and my Uber driver told me to avoid the sushi the moment I told him where I was going. Then as we enter we’re told it’s gonna be a 20 minute wait time with only one table currently inside the building.I got the chicken and scallops which was delicious.Our waiter was attentive but I don’t know if it was the his or the chef’s fault but my partner did not have his steak cooked as the same time as everyone else. A friend of ours also ordered some extra chicken on top of her meal but it wasn’t made as well. Thankfully the chef noticed one of the missing items(the steak) and made it for my partner but the chicken was not made. My partner also ordered the dynamite sushi against my warning and he’s currently day two into food poisoning. Once we got our check the chicken we did not get was on our ticket which we told the waiter to remove. Just to make it clear the chef was very welcoming and his show was great. The waiter did his job well but two of our very expensive orders were messed up and one of our party of 4 has food poisoning. We will not be returning any time soon.

Zero attention to us (she could've at least acknowledged us & I wouldn't have been so bothered) I brought it to her attention & she was arguing with me . HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE VIVIAN!! For $42 you get steak and scallops. You're given one fork and one napkin. The service is decent. The food is all right. We were the first ones to be seated at the table and were asked to sit on the side unless no one showed up for 10 minutes. Food was great the show was good too tho we were sat next to a party of 4 celebrating a birthday so the cook spoke to them in Spanish and continued the show in Spanish. I my self do not know Spanish so I didn't get the opportunity to enjoy it to the fullest experience! Towards the end of the night paying the bill gave the waiter my money asking him to break a 20 in the process but realized while returning my money he didn't give me the change for the bill granted it was only 3 dollars but that was to be part of the tip when getting my money back unfortunately since he took it upon himself to keep the 3 dollars that was his tip and I did not give more very disappointed I have waited a while for a date night with my wife to spend it somewhere where I didn't get to enjoy fully and was essentially unsatisfied

I had terriaki chicken and side of scallops. The scallops were awefull and very fishy tasting and smelling. The waitress took my plate and never inquired why i didnt eat the scallops. I will never come thus place does not deserve a 4 rsting they need tge health department to pay them a visit.

The service was wonderful! The reason I’m giving them three stars is because the food was very expensive, and very bland! At almost $30 a plate plus drink, the food was below average. No sauces like the other hibachi places, rice undercooked and no flavor, steak very bland and chopped into a million teeny tiny pieces. Dinner for 3 cost us $116 with the tip. My 9 year old didn’t get his salad either. Just disappointed in the whole thing except the waitress. We eat out A LOT and probably won’t come back here. UPDATE: We did go back to give them another try today. It wasn't better. The food was again very bland. They charge extra for fried rice and it WASN'T fried rice!! I ordered the steak and so did everyone else at the table. I ended up with ALL the pieces of fat that he should have cut off and thrown away!! See attached picture of rice and the pile of fat that should have been steak!! Nope, never again! Thats two very expensive meals that werent good!

Horrible cook horrible experience. The cook was more focused on talking to the two people seated next to us in spanish and ignoring the rest of the grill. No pizzazz or show, it was like being at a neighbor's bbq and being ignored. My party and the gentleman next to us watched the other grill have a great experience, the flipping, the showmanship, the onion volcano, tossing food, engaging the entire grill. Not our cook. Nope. Guessing the other 2 people seated next to us were his friends. Undercooked fried rice, bland filet mignon, everything was greasy. Salmon over cooked. No flavor really to anything. The only saving grace was our waiter who was attentive and polite, quick to refill our drinks. Pretty embarrassed I took my parents here during our visit. We should have gone to Landry's. First person you come to the hostess was rude and unfriendly!! As soon as you walk in you are greated by a rude irritating person!!! I showed my sisters and all three of us were disgusted with this plus the RUDE RUDE RUDE hostess??we all got up and left i would NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! Good luck!

I am so sad. I have been such a loyal Customer for so long and then today I found out that the owners take 10% of the tips and I’m sorry but I cannot support a business where the owners take 10% from the servers not just that, but I also found out that the servers had to split equally, if you’re the server and you’re helping a table by yourself than you get 100% tips you should not have to share that with anybody else let alone the owner. I guarantee that my friends and my family will never be back and I will inform Everyone, I know that the owners are taking 10% of all the tips

The cook was nice. The food was not the best. The fried rice didn’t taste like fried rice. Food tasted undercooked. Beautiful atmosphere though.

Worst customer service. We waited at the grill for about an hour. We were served on the grill area. The chef basically gave all the serving to the guy that was to the left of him. I had ordered chicken and shrimp fried rice. My other party had filet mignon . There was about seven adults and one child. The chef kept giving the food to the guy to the left and to the right of us. By the time we had our serving which looked like for two people the chef split it with three of us. The guy to the left received more meat, rice and vegetables than Iud. He didn’t have double servings. I complain to the chef. When our receipts came out, we told him to take off the chicken and by the way we didn’t ask to takeoff the chicken for the other portions that didn’t receive it. They came back and said that was the portions we were supposed to receive after they looked at the camera. The camera, if they would’ve looked at the camera, they would’ve noticed that the chef gave everybody at our table food to the guy that was to the left of us. We only complained about the chicken when we should’ve complained about the whole meal, the wait time and the chef not having the right food to begin with. The didn’t want to take the chicken off the receipt when it should have been all three of us complaining. I would’ve not wanted to see if chicken was the only protein on the plate. The manager didn’t even want to refund or take the chicken of the receipt. Checking the camera when you know the portions were terrible. I would not recommend this spot Go to Koze Restaurant if you are looking for nice service , great food with good portions.

Let me start off with, the gothic hostess with the short choppy black hair was so busy on her phone she didn’t even greet us. When we ask how long the wait would be, she replied “30minutes to an hour.” We agreed to wait! The hour went by and we saw as people that were not waiting were seated and I’m pissed, because I’m pregnant and it was my daughters birthday. Very disappointing because this was my favorite place until today. I’m so irritated. When I went back the second hostess told me that they told us an hour to two hours. Explain? Who would wait that long to eat, that’s ridiculous!!!!!! The place wasn’t even busy… I don’t think I ever want to go back, because that was so messed up. To pretend you told me a time and you didn’t is so wrong and unprofessional. Next time get off your phone!!!

When we arrived the place wasn’t even busy. After 1.5 hours I got up to ask what we were waiting on I noticed our names had already been crossed out like if we had been seated. I was told it would be another 10 min as I proceeded to wait I asked for management. Girl up front couldn’t find her manager walked around the entire facility! She wasn’t the nicest either. Still no manager to be found! Lol food is always good though. Still was given no reason to why we waited. An explanation would have been nice.

Food was good but the experience with the cook was so boring. No entertainment. It felt like he was just there to be there. BORING!!

I ordered the salmon lunch special. The salmon was undercooked and asked the waitress if they could cook it more. When I took a look at the salmon for a second time, it was still raw. Did not enjoy this experience.

Visited yesterday evening, 02/07/26, food was good kind of mid compared to other visits. The veggies were a little underwhelming as well as my chicken and steak was a little on the tough side. Fried rice was excellent and the chef was pleasant and friendly and talkative. The service was abysmal and terrible. We had a large party so of course got charged 18% automatically regardless of how great or poor the waitress service was. The service was non existent, she came to our table a total of maybe 3 times. I asked for a high chair for my toddler, it never came, people in our party had to visit the bar for their drinks, and worst of all they had asked if a birthday cake could be brought out for the birthday girl and it never came. They would have probably just kept it if it weren’t for someone going to ask for it. She collected 18% from each person in our party for minimal interaction or work frankly. I’m disappointed at the level of terrible “mala carientas” they have working here, the vibe is not it and if we’re spending $45+ per person at least make us feel welcome. Probably not visiting again for a while and will be sharing my experience with a lot of folks.

The Chef Armando is the worst chef that has prepared our food in this place, no seasoning on the food, the vegetables undercooked, the filet mignon was not properly prepared, two eggs for the whole fried rice, the Chef needs to be retrained. Our server Adrian was good no complaints on him or on other Chefs from the restaurant
