I recently enjoyed a superb dining experience at Botanica, situated within the Mas Olas Kimpton resort in Pescadero. This farm-to-table Italian restaurant is renowned for its artisanal pasta and wood-fired pizzas, crafted in an outdoor oven. Freshness defines the essence of Botanica, with all vegetables and herbs meticulously sourced from their own organic garden on-site. We started with a garden-fresh salad infused with aromatic herbs, followed by freshly made tagliatelle in a bolognese sauce, and an amazing shrimp and mozzarella pizza. To conclude, we savored freshly made, delicately light churros. If you're craving delicious pasta and pizza, Botanica is a must-visit.

Quando il cibo diventa poesia! Ogni dettaglio preparato con cura. Ogni piatto una festa di sapori da scoprire uno alla volta. L’aroma del cibo e di ogni boccone una riflessione delle piante cresciute con cura e amore nell’orto adiacente al ristorante BOTANICA. Il posto è accogliente e romantico, e qui si sente entrambe l’abbraccio della natura circostante e il bel benvenuto dello staff. Nel tardo pomeriggio si può cogliere il momento in cui lo chef personalmente cammina fra l’orto, scegliendo con cura ortaggi, piante aromatiche e frutti con cui creare una festa di sapori per la cena. Un pasto che ben merita la distanza da percorrere per raggiungere questa magia di natura e cucina dove passione e competenza culinaria danzano sotto le stelle di un cielo messicano, offrendo una grande varietà di piatti nati dal connubio fra tradizione messicana e tradizione italiana, con un tocco di artisticità che nutre occhi, anima e corpo.

We love this restaurant! Beautiful setting in the gardens of the Kimpton hotel, delicious food. The staff is also very knowledgeable. My friend was asking for advice on which Mezcal to order and they sent out their Mezcal expert who talk to her about the different types. We then got a beautiful plate of pairings to eat with the Mezcal. On that plate was the most delicious chocolate I have ever had . The person who advised us on the Mocal said that that chocolate comes from his grandma. Can’t wait to go back

We ate at Botanica on February 13 while on a day tour from La Paz. We had an introduction so chef Sandro guided our meal himself. The grilled Manchego on the arugula salad was highlighted by the honey sweetness and slight bitter of the arugula. So satisfying. The burrata salad had tomatoes in at least 6 forms, dehydrated, roasted, jam, etc. The pizza was crisp and pillowy in the crust with wonderful flavor. Next course was gnocchi and risotto. The gnocchi with mushrooms and sausage was probably my favorite dish. Risotto was a beautiful green from the greens that flavored it. Main course of short rib and chicken had luscious sauces and very good grilled tortillas. Highly recommend a reservation for the trek out to this beautiful property with amazing food venues.

Chef Sandro is not just a wonderful chef, but human as well. He was one of the top highlights of our hotel stay. His food is absolutely amazing and beyond accommodating for those of us with food allergies. He allowed me to have the happiest of birthday dinners despite needing to be gluten free. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Can’t wait to be back and see what more he has planned for the restaurants. It was also heartwarming to see him taking great interest in teaching the junior staff and sharing his great knowledge.

Botanica is a literal dream come true! We started with the garden salad and it was so fresh, all the produce came from the garden next to us. We had two pizzas. The fresh ricotta was NEXT level and the flavor of the sausage was delicious. We ended with gnocci (my favorite.) The ambiance was beautiful, right next to the garden. 10/10 would go back every time I’m in the Todos Santos area.

All I can say is wow. This restaurant is the epitome of farm to table excellence. All of the produce in each dish is grown in the stunning garden next to the dining area, making for incredible dishes (the burrata salad prepared with 7 different kinds of tomatoes is a must). Chef Sandro is a worldly genius in the kitchen, fusing his Roman roots with Mexican desert influences (exhibit A: the nopale risotto). Top your meal off with a caprese cocktail, finish with tres leches cake, and leave very, very happy.

Oh my gosh, this restaurant is insane. I have never tasted such amazing flavors and fresh food. They have a garden on site which they get all their food. It is a farm two table concept. And the chef!!!!! can’t even begin to tell you how amazing he is. He takes so much joy and passion in his work. Truly, this food is some of the best we have ever had in our books. All of the staff is amazing. And the property is absolutely gorgeous.

WOW. This hidden gem of a restaurant is absolutely beautiful and every bite of the food had us melting into our seats. Our server, Dino, was top notch and kept us well fed and watered throughout our dinner. The head chef, Sandro, recommended the Mezcal Negroni, Burrata and the Seafood Pizza. We ordered all 3 then sat and had 3 desserts while chatting with Sandro. Can not say enough great things about this place. Michelin Star quality food, gorgeous Baja beach and amazing personalized service. We will be back for many years to come.

By chance, we were present for Botanica‘s reopening. We sat at one of the tables in the middle of the garden, where they grow the produce featured on the menu. The food was very delicious and embodied the idea of farm to table. The desert risotto was one of our favorite dishes, but everything was excellent. Chef Sandro was on hand to present several of the dishes and tell us about the metamorphosis of the garden from its early beginnings. Service was impeccable. This and Kahal are the best dining experiences we have had on Baja. World class restaurants.

Had dinner here, not at a hotel guest The pizza was great. However, the margaritas were just OK, which was surprising as we had a drink at the poolside bar (a separate restaurant within the complex), that was great. It also took 20+ minutes for a second cocktail and the whole place was pretty empty. The main - a short rib. Was leather tough. It was a let down considering you just slow cook it and it should soften significantly. I have no idea why this place is so well rated. The staff was nice, but service wasn’t incredibly amazing.
