Their service is amazing!!! I gave my order, as I was starting my chips and salsa he was back with my dinner. I almost didn’t stay because they serve Pepsi products. I’m glad I didn’t turn and walk out the door. Homemade salsa as well as sour cream! Which it’s hard to find. I don’t eat many leftovers, but I’ve ordered some rice to go with the rest of my meat… Considering how much I ordered including additional requests, it’s a great go to spot when you need good food that will fill you up!!
Service was great, the food was plenty & very good...I had the carnitas plate and my wife had the carnita enchilada plate. Over all a good experience !
Super nice place with a great combination plate and options. I did the Tamale pork and carnitas taco. The carnitas was nice and moist super delicious.
Very good service, excellent food, love the atmosphere...mellow.. feels very warm and welcoming. Definitely my top restaurant for Mexican food..
The food is delicious! We are 25 year patrons of La Mison Restaurant on Florin until it closed. This place tastes just like the old restaurant!

The server was amazing! We had a party of 9 and he memorized everyone's order and didn't mess it up. Came by multiple times to make sure we didn't need anything. No complaints about anything.
So happy this place survived the pandemic. they had such good food and its such a staple in this town. Been around forever. all nthe waiters know you by name its a special place
Definitely our go to spot in Elk Grove when we'd like to sit down and be served. The food is always great. The staff always remember us and even remember conversations we had from previous visits. Here you feel like you're visiting family and having a great meal, rather than just going to a place to eat. Love Plaza, Love the food and Love the staff!
We had a nice family dinner here. They were able to accommodate our large party. The service was pretty fast. Food was decent, very typical. Great grande margarita!!
Recently moved out of state but had to stop by Plaza Del Sol while in town visiting family. It’s my favorite spot, and I absolutely LOVE the staff. They’re always amazing, super friendly, and genuinely happy to see us walk in. The food and drinks are excellent, and the company makes it even better. Highly recommend.

We went for the first time had a carnitas chimichanga, cheese enchilada husband had ground beef enchiladas. The enchiladas were really good it's hard to find anything resembling Mexican gravy these days, it was good. The chimi was good but a little different came in a partial puff pastry type shell. The beans were wonderful really delicious, the rice not bad. We will be back our server was very attentive and nice. It was the best Mexican we have found in elk grove in a long time.

Enchilada looked like a wet burrito. Sauce was disappointing like a soup. Taco was too chunky and felt like they needed to get rid of carnitas. Soggy rice, I love my refried, beans, and rice, but this was horrible. I will not be returning, unfortunately.
The waiter was excellent—he deserves a five star for his attentiveness-—he waited on us immediately & couldn't be more helpful! The food was lacking in salt, & flavor but then again; we ate vegetarian tostadas with beans & rice. The salsa was too oniony, would rather have heat from peppers which I couldn’t taste much.

(Terrible service) We are on our way home before our 2 hour drive and we wanted to eat first. We were seated right away and given chips and salsa, but waited an awkward 7 mins to be acknowledged or asked what we wanted to drink and almost left. We ordered our drinks and were rudely given straws when we said yes we would like straws. My husband and I looked at each other and were like, well that was weird. Ordered enchiladas. The enchilada sauce was mild. The beef was good. The beans and chips and salsa were good. The rice was sadly a little mushy. No one came by during our stay to see how we were doing and we waited again after we finished our meals before being asked if we needed a refill. Then waited again before having to find someone and ask for our check. I gave them 2 stars because my husband liked their chips. We will not be back. It's a shame that 1 server can ruin a dining experience for someone.

Chicken soup to go was mostly rice with some chicken and potatoes and one piece of carrot. Not what it used to be! Highly disappointed!
Food was below average to average prices were I felt a little above average and the service was okay

Wanted to try this place and this is such a sad place to call a Mexican restaurant. I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food and restaurant and this may be the worst ever. I knew it was going to be bad when there was no server and then we realized there was a server but she was talking to a customer for a very long time before helping us. She did this before sitting us down and to us while we waited. We knew from there that this experience was not going to be good. I ordered the three items which were carnitas tacos, carnitas burrito & enchilada with rice and beans. The rice was fluffy and nice. The beans were sweet which I’ve never had sweet refried beans before. The enchiladas was unseasoned chicken, super watery red sauce, and it had bell peppers. Bell peppers did not belong with the enchiladas at all. I took one bite and could not continue eating it. The carnitas taco and burrito were so dry. The only thing that helped was the sauce from my boyfriend’s chile verde. The burrito wasn’t even wrapped nicely or tightly, just thrown together on a slightly bigger tortilla and called it a day. My taco had cheese which felt more of an American taco. My boyfriend got the chile verde spicy, the spice was nice but that’s about it. The pork with it was dry and the tortillas they gave him to eat with it were super hard. As hard as a tortilla chip, if not harder. We didn’t eat it. They offer free chips and salsa but that’s like the only good thing we had here. I would not recommend this place at all. I’d say go down the street and try other Mexican places. They make Taco Bell look better. So disappointing. (Same review by me on Yelp)
VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! The first time we tried this restaurant, the power went out immediately after we were seated, so we left. Our family decided to try again for my husband's birthday and left dissatisfied and hungry--perhaps the power outage was a sign that this place should be avoided. Our server was pleasant, but did not spend much time with our table--something we only noticed once we saw him interact with other customers. Our margaritas were good, but pricey considering their size. Our food? I'm not even sure what to say other than it was NOT good. The tortilla chips were fine. The bean dip appetizer was unremarkable (the beans were bland and the chili Colorado tasted like pot roast). The rice tasted like it came out of a box and the refried beans were bland. My husband's steak and chicken fajitas were probably the best thing out of everything we got. I got the chili relleno and tamale combo plate. Instead of a crisply fried chile relleno, I got a chile coated in an almost scrambled egg consistency batter: thick and spongy. And the tamale left a weird metallic aftertaste. I am *normally* a plate cleaner, always have been. But tonight, I took one bite of each and left the rest. We chose this restaurant because it was the #1 rated Mexican restaurant in Elk Grove...based on our experience, I'm afraid to try the other highly-rated restaurants. This is, without a doubt, the worst dining experience we've had since we've moved to this area.
I really don’t see how someone can rate this place 4-5 stars- the food was just completely awful. The pictures dont lie, the enchilada sauce was extremely watery and the cheese barely melted. Beans and Rice, We’re completely bland with no taste to them at all. The crunchy taco was so soggy that i could even pick it up as a whole. Ground beef was so salty I couldn’t go past 1 bite. Extremely disappointed after being hounded atleast 4 times within 5 minutes if I was ready to order for a meal that was just so poorly made

We go here often, but today it was very disappointing. We were seated and our order was taken. The table next to us who came in AFTER us were served their food. We continued to sit there watching food being served to people who came in after us. After about 35 minutes we called the girl over to ask her to check on our food. She never came back, I went up to check on it and her response was that there were 2 large parties ahead of us which came in after us. I ask her how much longer it would be. She very rudely responded I have no idea. We were there almost an hour with no food. We walked out and went to another restaurant because we were starving
Horrible food. Do not recommend. We tried the cheese quesadilla, chicken enchiladas, carne asada tacos and carnitas tacos. The meat looked and tasted like jerky. The cheese quesadilla was swimming in grease. The guac was the worst part - way too watery and had no flavor (no lime juice or even salt used).
