After seeing this place all over TikTok and realizing it’s close to my house. My friend and I finally decided to try it. We arrived around 12:15 PM. Online it says reservations are recommended, but I couldn’t find any online booking option; turns out reservations are only by phone. We walked in, put our name down, and were seated within about 30 minutes. The space is small, but the service was excellent and very welcoming. We started with calamari, curry puffs, and a ginger lemon drink - all of them were really good. For mains, we ordered fried pork with watercress, tom yum soup, and drunken noodles. Everything was amazing - bold, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, we got the fried ice cream. The portion was huge and absolutely delicious. We couldn’t finish everything, so we packed some to go. Overall, it was a really nice experience. Great food, great service, and definitely worth the hype. Would happily come back.

Super authentic Thai spot in Jackson Heights. The Pad Thai was as good as anything I’ve had in Thailand. The crispy pork was full of flavor and mostly melt-in-your-mouth, though a few pieces were a bit chewy. The Thai Iced Tea was excellent, and the red curry had a great kick. Definitely need to come back and try more dishes

Absolutely loved my visit at Saranrom Thai Restaurant! The flavors were authentic, fresh, and well-balanced. The Pad Thai and Tom Yum were both outstanding — spicy, tangy, and full of aroma. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d love to return to!

There is a reason why this place is always packed, even on the eve of Thanksgiving. Given we aren’t sure if we will be this lucky with getting a table within 5 mins in the future, we decided to order everything that we wanted to try as if this is our only chance to do so. As residents of Hell’s Kitchen, we are very familiar with Thai cuisine in NYC, but Saranrom Thai takes it to the next level! It serves dishes that we normally don’t see on a typical Thai restaurant in the City. For the two of us, we went with the server’s recommendations - Moo Ping (delicious pork skewers), Kua Kling (spicy ground pork with rice), Hoy Tod (crispy mussels pancake - a crossover between Taiwanese oyster pancake and Vietnamese pancake), and Nam Ngiao (noodle soup from Northern part of Thailand). You basically can’t go wrong with ordering from the first page of the menu. Now, if you are looking for something that might be more familiar, like Pad Thai, it is available as well. Cocktail menu was extensive and full of interesting options. The prices were so attractive that it is hard to just have one drink. Must try “The Tea for Yu”. Portions were generous, but if you over order like we did, they make great leftovers! Lastly, services were on point and our water glass was never empty despite how busy the restaurant was.

I’ve tried a number of traditional Thai spots in California and Dallas, and I learned about even more new dishes here which was amazing! The Michelin recommended catfish appetizer was so delicious - crispy little pieces of catfish with green mango and dressing. There was even a line at 5pm on Saturday. For those who don’t do well with spicy, they were very clear on what could be adjusted and what couldn’t, so there’s something for everyone. Will definitely be back!!!

First time checking out my neighborhood and I’m honestly impressed! The staff were super friendly the moment we walked in, and the place had such a warm, cozy vibe. We started with the Pad Ped Pla Duk and Fish Cakes, both were packed with flavor. For our mains, we shared the Khao Soi noodles and Kee Mao Thai, and they were amazing! Generous portions, really tasty, and the spice level (mild) was just right. Definitely coming back and telling my friends about this spot. Such a hidden gem in the neighborhood!

Neighborhood hot spot for sure. Long wait but it was prime time on a Friday night so that was expected (we didn’t live in the area otherwise would consider takeout). When we finally were seated service was prompt and dishes came out quickly. Really generous portions; a good spot for a group to share. Wish there was a wee bit more time in-between appetizers and entrees since we had a small table for two and plates were piling up/getting cramped but we packed stuff up to make room =) Every dish was very flavorful, aromatic, and complex. A harmonious balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy (they don’t play with the chilies here). No mango sticky rice, but was pleasantly surprised with their take of tangyuan. Staff were really friendly and regularly checked on us (without feeling rushed). Would definitely come back to try more of their extensive menu.

Tried Saranrom years ago and was not impressed but gave them another try today for dine-in and love the meal. Staffs were friendly, welcoming, and attentive since you walk in and constantly check in on you to make sure you have what you need. Food was served quickly and delicious. Portion is very generous especially compare to price. Highly recommend their chicken garlic - simple but made just right and reminds you of authentic street food in Thailand!

They always pay attention to the customers and make sure everything is running smoothly at our table. We also get to enjoy the music, a great selection! I guess that's why they got a Michelin Bib Gourmand! A must-visit when you're around here.

Absolutely amazing experience at Sa Ran Rom Thai! From the moment we walked in, the cozy ambiance and warm hospitality set the tone for a fantastic meal. I think this might be the second best Thai food I've had in NYC. Now, I've been to a lot of different Thai restaurants in the city. Most of the Manhattan ones were mid, and the Queens spots were always popping. But Saranrom Thai just gets it, dude. The atmosphere is very modern and chic - they have lots of cute and artistic ornaments and decorations. The staff are super welcoming and extremely attentive. The only negative would be that the space itself is a little cramped and fairly narrow, but they're making the most of the limited real estate. We ordered their mango catfish salad, duck basil, drunken noodle, and the shrimp and glass noodle bowl. The catfish salad and drunken noodle honestly blew me away. That was probably the best drunken noodle I've ever had, no BS. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, the flavors were strong and poignant, and the portions were large and filling too. Best part - everything came out to under $100 for three people, and we were stuffed to the gills afterwards. Seriously, do yourselves a favor, and come here. Make sure to get there early because the wait-list fills up extremely fast. I can see why they were on the Michelin guide for four years in a row. Another standout restaurant in Queens and why this is THE best borough in NYC for food.

Went there during lunch specials and had a great time. Was meaning to try this place out for so long but just didn’t had the chance to but we finally made it. The staff were super welcoming and friendly and very attentive too and the food was the best Thai food I had in a while. We devoured everything and the mango sticky rice was heavenly( I had mango sticky rice in Bangkok but they had the best ones). The mango was so ripe and sweet and the rice was so moist. Still dreaming about it. Would definitely be going back!!!

Took my mom here for her birthday and we had an amazing lunch! We walked in without a reservation and by noon the place was already packed. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table, and there's plenty to do nearby while you wait. The space is bright, cozy, and inviting. We ordered the red curry, pad see ew, drunken noodle, and the raw marinated crab with mango salad. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The red curry was my favorite dish.

It was decently good but for the wait and the hype, it didn’t really live up to my expectations. Not that I was expecting too much but I thought they might have an edge over other Thai restaurants. The dishes were still tasty, a little on the sweeter side. Don’t think I’d actively go again but wouldn’t stop anyone from trying it out.

What a great culinary experience! This restaurant hit all the spots ~ the authentic Thai dishes, the well appointed appetizing menu, the impeccable service and the cozy casual comfortable dining room. Will definitely return to try out more dishes from their delectable menu. Kudos to the chef, owners and the entire staff members of this fine establishment.

Amazing service by everyone, even the host!!! Loved the Thai iced tea, the best I’ve had in a long time and the mango sticky rice was so yummy. Portions are good and enough to share! Only giving it 4 stars because my crab meat fried rice was lacking in flavor a bit.

Came in when it was a busy night with a reservation on a double date, there were 3 servers so they should’ve been able to handle the dining room with little issue since the place isn’t large. Half our entres came out and then it was another 20 minute wait. It was so awkward. They didn’t even realize that only half the table had food and we had to say something. When we did speak up they then said it was bc our order was split which really didn’t excuse it or make sense. The staff was nice to apologize but it created such an awkward social dynamic that it left a bad taste in our mouth. I think they should’ve done more to compensate the poor planning of the service and kitchen. It’s one thing if dishes come out without order but usually the dishes are coming so you usually don’t see it as an awkward experience. It was so bad that one of us ordered a fried rice and it didn’t come out until 30+ minutes. The food isn’t bad but I don’t know if it’s good enough to excuse the service quality. I got glass noodles which was satisfying and tasteful. The cocktails were very decorative and pretty (good for the insta) but didn’t get more than one. The vibe of the place was nice otherwise. The spice level is Thai spicy so adjust to your tastebuds but I found the levels really well balanced.
