Opinions de Jayna Gyro Emeryville
Jayna Gyro is inside one of the best 'food courts' in the Bay Area. The food was really tasty and fresh. I had the Gyro: The pita was soft, ingredients were piled high so I used a fork to get it manageable enough to then eat holding the pita. Their version of fries (more like potato pieces) were delish...garlic & feta. Wife really liked the falafel wrap. My only knock's were things likely out of there control: 1) the prices have gone way up in. In 2021 price for the Gyro was $10 and in 2025 it's $15.50...but to be fair most of the places in the food court were $15-$20 for a meal; and 2) the table we were at was 'sticky', like it was 'cleaned' with wet rag that hadn't been washed in days. We tried another table, same result. These are large shared tables that the whole food court uses, so it's not a knock on Jayna, but maybe they can lean on Public Market.
This place is right inside the food court. However, the food was 10/10. Super delicious. The meats were tender and juicy. The kunefe is to die for. I totally recommend this place 100%.
Hummus was amazing, high quality ingredients and great value in a time when Macdonald’s tries to charge the same for literal processed garbage. My new fav spot! Can’t wait to try everything Meat was on the dry side and not as juicy as simply Greek (that sadly closed down) but the whole combo was still good. Would be awesome if the meat was better grilled
Super fresh food!! And not heavily salty which is absolutely rare these days. Finished my salad + gyro bowl feeling very full and satisfied without being weighed down. This place is definitely a new favorite for me!!
Best Baklava and Food The best Greek and Mediterranean taste in the area. I have tried their beef gyro and new chickpeas pita and they are amazing. I don't even need to mention the baklavas and Kunefe since it was the best ones that I've ever had in the United States. I would definitely recommend this place, there is almost no waiting time. Your order will be ready in just couple of minutes. I really like their to-go containers as well. It looks very professional.
I went to this spot with a friend. The pita was filled and it was yummy! I liked that it still felt “healthy” despite all of the food. The “fries” are cut potato wedges. Very yummy. Had spots to sit outside.
Title: Delicious and Juicy Delight at Jayna Gayro ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jayna Gayro offers a delightful culinary experience with their delicious and juicy dishes. While there may be a slight confusion about the origin of the taste, the overall quality and flavor make up for it. Each bite is a savory journey, leaving taste buds satisfied and craving more. Whether you're a food enthusiast or just looking for a tasty meal, Jayna Gayro is definitely worth a visit.
Wandered the market place. Lots of incredible menus here! Landed on Jayna Gyro. Roasted chickpeas, Greek fries, fresh salad, incredible, spices, and dips. Would definitely come here again. #vegetarian
Been to this place many times, the gyros are great with Aioli sauce on the well seasoned fries. Clean and good hygiene. Friendly environment. I would recommend this place to friends and family

Whatever you do, do not leave without trying the Turkish delights, they're all incredible. Everything on the menu is absolutely amazing and the service is even better, been a few times in the past and went again more recently and every single time the men behind the counter were incredibly friendly and genuine. I went in for a spanakopita, came back after finishing said spanakopita because the Turkish delights I saw when ordering looked so beautiful. Then I spent the rest of the day thinking about how good they were and came back the next day to get more Turkish delights.
Fast and friendly service and the rice pudding is the best. Not so much the baklava

We had chicken and lamb+beef wraps and they were both great! The lamb+beef had a bit of the fatty meat aftertaste but the chicken was flawless! I will definitely come back
Just had a delicious greek salad here, and got the kids plate for my 10 month old — love that they offer this! Was helped by Claudia who was extremely kind, helpful, and personable. I appreciated her very much!!! Looking forward to coming back in the future, want to try the beef & lamb gyro and also the hummus. I’ve been missing a good Greek spot since Simply Greek closed! Also loved the atmosphere at the public market!
I went to check out Jayna Gyro in Emeryville because I love Tarla’s in Napa, CA. Jayna Gyro is located in The Public Market which has a common food hall/court. Public parking was free and easy to find a spot. There are a variety of cuisine options. Nestled amongst them all is Jayna Gyro. It was quiet when I arrived and I did not have to wait in line. I ordered the Beef & Lamb Gyro. The gyro was beautiful and snuggled up inside the box. I love the idea that there is something for everyone at this local spot!
We got the dip trio and it was alright. Pita bread was good but the hummus was dry and felt a bit old

Mediocre overpriced Gyros at this food court stand. Good service. Small wait time for food. Bustling food court environment. Not recommended. I went here craving a lamb gyro. Orders the beef and lamb as is. It came out pretty quickly but I wasn’t so pleased with the presentation, sort of like an open-faced sandwich. I think it’s challenging to season the cut of meat used in gyro unless the meat is minced. This meat was chipped and didn’t have a ton of flavor, nor the best texture. Also, the bread was cold— it broke as I was eating it. That’s in addition to it being pita bread and not lavash as listed on the menu.
Food 2 star, service 5 star. The falafel bowl was a sad affair. The falafel was so dry and flavorless, the salad was basically just shredded iceberg and one wedge of tomato with barely any dressing, and even the pepperoncini didn't have a vinegary zing. Rice and pita were alright. Service was great. I hope the owners see this review and try to improve their menu.

I recommend against the falafel. You can tell from the uniform shapes that it comes off a conveyor belt, which also means that it comes out of a freezer. The stuffed grape leaves were better, but chances are they come from a huge jar. Even the lettuce in the falafel bowl was disappointing because it's shredded, like at McDonald's. If you find something there that's prepared on site, chances are it will be better than what I ordered.

$73 for two gyros, 3 dolmas, and hummus with 5 pieces of pita. It's 100% self service and yet they ask for a tip.

The ingredients were fresh. But I asked for no olives as I hate them. Still had tons. Paid $23 for a shredded lettuce salad, with beef/lamb. It has no beef it was all lamb and gross. Probably considered authentic. But not at all what I was expecting when listed as (beef/lamb)
The guy today at the counter was rude. All I did was ask a question. I will never be eating here because his attitude was awful.

My husband and I were standing in front of the screen reading the menu when the employee deliberately turned it off. The service could be much better, there’s no need to be rude, and the behavior came across as discriminatory.
