Great place to eat. Great service and the food is wonderful. And you're supporting a military veteran when you eat there. Bring a toy to drop off for Toys 4 Tots. They are a big supporter of the organization.

The restaurant was very clean.The food was in huge portions,but most importantly,the service was super fast, really sweet, and very attentive because the coffee and water cups never became halfempty.

It was the last place we ate before coming back to Redding. We went to several places. This was our favorite with great service. Some real eye candy server's.

What a cute little place to take Grandma to brunch, and large portions! My kids loved the Monte Cristo & criss-cut fries. My husband got (& loved) Turkey & Avocado Eggs Benedict. We loooove The Chalet! I always get the same thing, 2 biscuits and heavy with a side of bacon. My husband loves the meat loves omelet. The size of the plates are worth the price, which is pretty decent itself. We try to come when we are in town.

I call it the home of the 12 minute omelet. It doesn't matter how busy it is, you get served within 12 minutes of ordering. At least in my experience over 20 years. The food is amazing, and the service is both friendly and impeccable. I am always happy I went there.

This place and it's sister restaurant really do have amazing omelettes. They live up to the name. No one handles an egg as well as Chalet. The menu is pretty large though and there's more gems than just the omelettes. The bacon waffles are a good example. Like they cook bacon INSIDE the waffle. Quick, attentive service. Good for kids and groups.

Best place in town! Best omelettes hands down, bottomless coffee and the only place that does crispy hash browns right! Tons of other options breakfast and lunch as well. Sandwiches are grilled to perfection with tons of different meat and cheese options. Great for lunch breaks, the food is consistent and comes out quick. Such a great restaurant! Kindest staff ever and the food is so good! Literally everything we ordered was delicious, even the foods I don’t usually like. ALL of our plates, even with two kids (2 and 6), looked like they had been licked clean. We ordered kids waffle with sausage (we all tasted and loved it!), kids dollar pancakes (I normally dislike pancakes but theirs are amazing!), crepes with lemon, and hubby ordered CFS(another dish I don’t usually like but LOVED here). Incredibly reasonable priced and quick service without feeling rushed. My daughter lost a tooth here and the waitress brought us a little sauce container to save it in😊 oh yeah and we ordered a huckleberry shake on the way out and it was perfection! Wonderfully creamy, fresh fruit and not too sweet!

The food is great. The restaurant is a little small and it can get a bit loud when it's busy but they have a nice outdoor dining area and very friendly service. I highly recommend this place. They have my mom's order memorized when she goes to eat on Sundays and we love going here for family breakfast or brunch.

I like to go here before or after a long hike or bike ride; you can get your breakfast any way that you want it here. Some plates are huge, some are just right. The pancakes are gigantic! -- avoid them unless you've a matching appetite. However, I'd like to try the buckwheat silver dollar pancakes. Service is fast and friendly.

Thais place is great! They are offering indoor and outside dining. The food is amazing. I'm a good cook and super picky about my food. I am never disappointed at the quality offered here. On the RARE occasion my order isn't right, it is made right immediately and without argument (even if I am in the wrong because I forgot to tell them to hold the pickle).

I had eggs Benedict, which was delicious! They serve an awesome crab omelet. We enjoyed eating in their outside fenced in area. I would recommend giving it a try. Oh, by the way...the restrooms are gorgeous! All it needs is a tub. 😊

One of the best eggs Benedict’s and waffles I’ve ever had. My husband and I ordered Sunrise Benedict, Country Fried Steak, Belgian Waffle with Lemon Compote, and Blueberry Crepes. The Hollandaise sauce for the Benedict was absolutely some of the best I’ve ever tasted. And the combination of Belgian waffle, lemon compote, and whipped cream just absolutely melted in your mouth. The country fried steak was good, not notable though. And we made the mistake of getting whipped cream with hot blueberries on the crepes so the whipped cream melted and left the crepes soggy (which is our fault, not the restaurant’s). Lastly, EVERYONE there was so friendly and our coffees and waters were always topped off.

We went for breakfast. I got a waffle and side order of sausage links and my wife got a shrimp omelet both with coffee. The food did not disappoint. Coffee was good and the ladies kept me topped up. Pretty sure I could have threaded a needle while riding a roller-coaster when we left.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Huge portions of good home cooking. Cutten location isn't as cute as the downtown one, but it has more space and is cleaner.

It wasnt to crowded and the staff came right to oyr table and gave us coffee and took our order and didnt have to wait a long time to get our food and it was cook perfectly

Always fast and delicious even during busy times. My only grievance is that they have a invasive/rude habit of restocking, normally needlessly, stuff on the tables while you're dining.

Great local breakfast spot; reviews led us there. Food was good; not ground breaking, but all seemed fresh, and generous portions on deck. Granted, we are southerners and as such, are accustomed to breakfast fare containing a bit more salt to awaken things, and most things we've encountered here in CA are seemingly prepared without the stuff. No biggie... It's on the table. Our waitress was great, both as a server and impromptu tour guide, going so far as to bring us handwritten directions to a couple things we needed to see while in the area.

The food came in minutes which was both delightful and shocking. I got the french toast with eggs and bacon as well. My scrambled eggs came like an odd egg crepe thing. They were not especially good. My husband got a "make your own skillet" which seemed odd to me upon arrival. 1. It wasn't a baked skillet but food in a skillet shaped plate. 2. The ingredients in his skillet were oddly layered together. This, and the food arriving in less than 5 minutes, leads me to believe that they operate like a cafeteria or buffet with all the food prepared and just plated up on the spot. I don't consider this bad but I feel like I paid "made when ordered" prices (over $15 for my french toast) for cafeteria food. I actually expected more from this place. The 2 meals and 1 coffee cost me $40.

I can only talk about breakfast but we go all the time! Big plates of pancakes. Big plates of eggs and ham/bacon/sausage. All you can drink coffee. Friendly service. Local friends, County Supervisor always found there on the weekend. Wonderful local spot!

The "Texas French toast" was more like regular small pieces, I expected 2 to be filling as it said Texas toast, but the plate was brought out, and very disappointing. Made me realize why he asked if I wanted to add eggs and bacon to it.

My sister and I went to the Cutten chalet on new years eve for brunch. It was busy but we were sat in about 20 minutes. Our waitress was an older woman who had a horrible attitude that you could tell DID NOT want to be there working. She took our order. We received our food quickly, however my sister's order was wrong. We informed our annoyed waitress and she proceeded to tell us that my sister DID order that, and that my sister said a completely different thing. My sister corrected her. I heard her order. The waitress obviously was confused but her attitude just made it much more hostile. We received the fixed dish. Ate the food. Had countless other servers and hosts and bussers come take care of us who were extremely delightful. And we paid and left. The food was alright. A little greasy. But a good brunch place for sure. Just watch out for the older lady, she could be in a mood. 😑

Food is alright... 2nd time eating here not overly impressed. Also side bar for parents no changing table in the bathroom. I had to go change him in the car. I told the waitress I would be right back, however when I came back in my table was cleared. Family restaurants shpuld actually be family friendly.

The Cutten Chalet which is in walking distance from my house was a wonderful place to have breakfast lunch or dinner when it first opened. Very recently I took a friend there to celebrate her birthday. We both wanted breakfast / brunch. The only person that we encountered that was thoughtful kind smiling was the female bus person. I had the breakfast croissant, which was not at all as described and barely edible the way it was prepared. Never once did our waitress offer to refill my friends coffee or bring me more hot water for my t. I will not go back and neither will my friend even though it's so close to home. What a bummer!

Omg, there was a hair in my food that I found while the waitress was still standing right there after sitting the plate down!! Even though I pointed it out immediately she tried to act like it was something other than hair! Actually she didn't even offer me a new plate! It was gross! The place was crowded, we had to sit outside and the waitress only came back by with the check and still charged us for this plate that I didn't touch, she even asked me if I wanted a Togo box

If I could of given a 1/2 star I would. We sat there 10 minutes and no menu,water or server. They had a 20 person table and another table to attend before me. 1 server. I can assume 1 cook and it would of only gotten worse. We went to the Green Lily in Old Town for excellent service and food.

I gave this place two chances since it has such good reviews. The food and service were both terrible both times. The food was impressively greasy, and a few bucks more expensive than most places in the area, including one that emphasizes local, organic ingredients. Don't waste your money.

I witnessed the owner punch his puppy in the head in the name of training him. That's not how you train a service animal. The food is fine, but that left a bad taste in my mouth.
