✨ Review of El Pon Piticón (second location) ✨ 1. Space and Comfort ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This location is much larger than the original and has a waiting area with seating, making the experience more comfortable from the moment you arrive. 2. Service and Attention ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was extremely fast thanks to their larger kitchen and more staff. There were no wait times, and everything ran smoothly. 3. Menu and Flavor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The menu is exactly the same as the original location. I'm a fan of chilaquiles, and they maintain the same delicious flavor that distinguishes this place. 4. Payment Methods ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unlike the original location, they do accept card payments here, which is a huge plus. 5. Overall Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall, the visit was very pleasant: good atmosphere, speed, flavor, and convenience. They offer a good variety of regional dishes, with the highlight being the selection of salsas (for a variety of tastes). I tried the Oaxacan tetelas, which I recommend with pressed pork rinds. I also have to recommend the waters of the day.

We arrived a few minutes before opening time at 9am because it tends to get busy. The service was very good; the servers we met were super nice and friendly, always smiling and offering recommendations and comments :) The food was amazing. We started with an order of mixed tetelas, meaning one of each flavor (cottage cheese with epazote, beans with Oaxaca cheese, and pressed pork rinds). Although all three are delicious, my favorite was the one with beans and cheese. They normally serve them with a pickle on top, but we ordered the salsas on the side because I don't like anything spicy 🙃 The good thing is that none of the ones I tried were spicy! Then we ordered molletes and the encacahuatada wraps. The encacahuatada salsa is chipotle chili with roasted peanuts, very delicious and pairs well with the dishes. For drinks, we ordered water of the day; they had mango and hibiscus. They also have pot coffee, cold brew, and orange juice. One of the things I like most about this place is its appearance. The menu is super cute, and I love the language they use to share each dish 😂 I'll definitely come back to try more! Now I understand why the lines are so long.

Un lugar que definitivamente vale la pena visitar. Desde que llegas, el ambiente es agradable y el servicio muy atento. La comida tiene excelente sabor, se nota la calidad de los ingredientes y las porciones son bastante buenas. El personal es amable y siempre está pendiente de que todo esté bien, lo cual hace la experiencia aún mejor. Ideal para venir con amigos, familia o incluso en plan tranquilo. Sin duda regresaría y lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Hoy fui a su segunda sucursal a desayunar. Los huevos albañil muy ricos, vienen acompañados de frijoles de la olla y una ración chiquita de chilaquiles. La salsa de la casa es deliciosa. Lo único malo fue el café de olla. Sabía a café de máquina quemado. Sólo pude darle unos trágicos. Aclaro que lo comenté y muy amablemente no me lo cobraron. 9/10

Muy buena experiencia en general. La comida es de excelente calidad y el sabor vale totalmente la pena. El servicio del personal fue muy atento y amable en todo momento, lo cual se agradece mucho. Como oportunidad de mejora, la preparación de platillos tardó más de lo esperado, especialmente considerando que el restaurante tenía menos del 30% de las mesas ocupadas en ese momento. Fuera de eso, es un lugar muy recomendable.

Honestly: they've never been known for good service. The waitstaff is rather... indifferent, to put it mildly (they're more glued to their tablets than actually serving you). I dare say it's because they know the food is good... But the portion of the Mexican-style coffee is tiny (in my opinion). Anyway, what I'm getting at is: food 10/10. Service: don't expect much more than them serving you the food (and sometimes they're even rude).

A great option for a quick and delicious breakfast. The chilaquiles are tasty and arrive quickly. The service is fast and attentive, making it a pleasant way to start the day. Definitely worth a visit!

The portions were very generous, but the sauce lacked flavor. Something I didn't like was the price of their coffee ($45) and the fact that there were no refills. They also didn't offer any combo meals.

The place is nice, very aesthetic. When we arrived, there was a waiting list, but it didn't take us more than 15 minutes to get in. The waitress who served us was very attentive. The food was delicious and flavorful, with the exception of the chilaquiles sandwich, which was inedible. It was overcooked, with too much bread and the "chilaquiles," which were super dry and were a tortilla chip sandwich with onion. We liked the other dishes. One nice touch we had was with another waitress, whom we asked to help us store the food to go. She responded that it wasn't her table and that we should tell our waitress, which seemed very rude of her. I give it a 7/10.

@ponpiticon Av. Reforma Ote. 1, Centro, Querétaro. Overall Rating: 7.8 The experience at Ponpiticon is bad because of the service; the food is the only saving grace. We were greeted and served by two young women who took us to a very uncomfortable table. It was moving and we were exposed to the wind. We asked to move to another table, but they told us they couldn't (as you can see in the photos and video, the place was COMPLETELY empty). The food arrived cold; one dish was practically frozen. When we paid, the woman who served us (with a foreign accent) said, "You're going to leave a tip, right?" What saves this place is the food. They have excellent options, the salsas are wonderful, and the flavors are very Mexican without being overpowering or heavily seasoned. For four people, we paid around $1,500 MXN (approximately $80 USD). Esperaba más :( vi en redes que la comida y chilaquiles era buenísimos y aunque no son malos, he probado mejores, nada especiales la verdad. Odio la comida y fría o tibia y justo así los llevaron. El café americano me pareció insípido y muy pequeño. Las mesas se mueven y las meseras iban cada 10 minutos a preguntarnos si necesitábamos algo, lo cual aunque pareciera atención, lo sentimos como que ya nos querían correr aunque el restaurante no estaba lleno. Es mejor que si quieres algo les hables a que vayan 2 chicas diferentes a cada rato a presionarte. Nos terminamos yendo a una cafetería porque nos incomodó eso. En general no está mal pero no se si volvería :(

The truth is, the food isn't that great; it tasted bland. At least what I ordered was huevos rancheros and molletes. They lacked the flavor that these Mexican dishes originally have. The atmosphere is very lackluster, influenced by gentrification. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Una lástima no haber podido desayunar en este lugar por lo siguiente : -Llegamos 9:15 y la mesera que nos atendió estaba dormida en la mesa de la entrada, la despertamos para saber si había servicio ( se supone abre a las 9 am). Después de limpiarse las lagañas y un enorme bostezo nos llevó a una mesa . -Éramos la UNICA mesa en el lugar y creo que no les agradó que hayamos llegado temprano a molestar su descanso de apertura pues todo el personal estaba disperso y con mala actitud. - Pedimos pan dulce y nos dijeron que todavía no había ( ya eran las 9:35 am ) . -Pedimos café americano y nos dijeron : No hay , todavía está frío , solo de olla , lo pedimos y llegó tibio 🥲. - Pedimos jugo de naranja y adivinen : NO HAY !! - Pedimos el queso Cincho y tampoco había ! - Intentamos con las tetelas y queríamos pedirlas mixtas: NO SE PUEDEN PEDIR MIXTAS. - Después de puros “NO” decidimos pedir la cuenta , pagar los dos cafés de olla que si nos pudieron servir , agradecimos el servicio y nos retiramos a desayunar en CAO CAO y que diferencia. -RECOMENDACIÓN PARA CUALQUIER POSIBLE CLIETE : SI LLEGAN MUY TEMPRANO POR NADA DEL MUNDO DESPIERTEN A LA MESERA O DESATARAN SU MAL GENIO Y EL SERVICIO SERÁ EL PEOR.

Pésima experiencia. Inaceptable que sigan ofreciendo desayunos cuando no tenían disponible el 90% de los platillos del menú. ¿Para qué abren entonces? Para rematar, los vasos olían horrible, como si no los hubieran lavado bien —totalmente asqueroso y cero higiénico. Eso ya no es solo mala atención, es un tema de limpieza básica. El servicio fue igual de terrible: desorganizado, sin actitud de solución y con cero interés en el cliente. Un lugar que claramente no está listo para operar y aun así decide abrir. No regreso y definitivamente no lo recomiendo.

We arrived at 9:30 and the girl who serves you was lying asleep on the reception desk. They didn't have bread or orange juice. We wanted Cincho cheese, but they didn't have it either, saying it's hard to get. I don't know why they even have it on the menu then. We came with high expectations. It's a shame. The place looks great in the food photos, but the service is terrible.
