I wish I had pictures to take but I let me just say this place was sooo good. I ordered oxtails with rice & peas and plantains, Jerk chicken with cabbage and Mac, and brown stew chicken with Mac and Potato salad. 10/10. Food was hot, and tasted amazing. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Tasty’s in Birmingham, and it was an excellent decision, especially for those craving oxtails. The mac & cheese was outstanding, and the oxtails were large, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The rice and peas were also delicious. Additionally, I highly recommend the 32-ounce strawberry lemonade. The customer service was exceptional, and the service was prompt. Thank you for delivering such high-quality food.

I have been here a few times and finally can say this is hands down the best Jamaican Food I’ve ever had. I haven’t been to Jamaica yet but I have been to plenty cities with Jamaican restaurants owned by them. The food is so awesome. I typically get the oxtails or the curry goat and both are top tier. This specific time I got the curry goat with cabbage and green beans. The curry goat was so tender and flavorful. The cabbage was a good blend of soft and crunchy. The green beans are hands down the best I ever had! All the food has a good spice level so understand it may be overbearing if you’re not a spicy head. Another thing is that you know everything is seasoned very well. Be careful because you will bite coriander seeds and thyme stems that proves how well the food is seasoned. The fact they actually use scotch bonnet peppers is what sets the food off. IYKYK!!! I will say it’s a little pricey but it is well worth it and the portions are good. With all that being said, if you want some the best Jamaican food, this is your spot! 5 belly rubs out 5! Perfection!!! Edit: I went back yesterday and it is still the best! They don’t miss!

Enjoyed my meals from Tasty Jamaica a lot. Had the jerk chicken, fried plantains, mac-and-cheese, and rice and beans. Had no idea this place was around until this year. Bernard, the chef and owner, was efficient and handled his customers and their orders well. It’s very easy to miss, but the presence of parked cars waiting on their turn will make it easier for you to find it. I plan on returning.

When I start smiling while I'm eating, whatever it is is delightful. Passed by this place so many times thinking it was a club and somebody should've clubbed me upside my head for passing by this place so many times before. I WILL be back. The owner is very engaging and friendly and the portions are more than enough even for the medium jerk chicken, rice and peas, and mac & cheese I ordered. I will be back soon with friends to share my bliss with.

I'm only giving 4 stars because they don't take call ahead orders and it took over 40 min for me to receive my food. Other than that, the staff was professional and polite and the food was delicious!

I just love the way they cook oxtails, cabbage and macaroni.. The taste on the oxtails were great. Although they seem a little fatty, but it's okay. The food is good all around

Customer Service was top tier. I had oxtails, cabbage, and Mac n cheese. Also, jerk chicken and green beans. I wasn't a fan of the Mac n Cheese, but everything else was good. I will definitely be back.
