I had a great time at BJ’s, the food was good and they had an amazing prime rib special. A great verity of beers on tap in a nice environment, you can’t go wrong. The service was great and they had plenty of TVs to watch the game. I would definitely go back the next time I’m in town to watch the game and grab a good meal.
This is my favorite restaurant and I feel I am responsible for it being here as I used to have to go to Columbus to eat at BJs but I did write the company and mentioned that Akron needs a BJs. Anyway John Davis was the bartender when we visited today and he worked extra hard to provide exemplary service. We will definitely be back!
Took my fiancé here for the first time because the food here is amazingly delicious!! He was definitely pleased. We’ll be returning soon. The service here was just as good. We didn’t wait long to be seated and we got our food in a timely manner! Can’t wait to come back!! You won’t be disappointed!
Best lunch deal out there. $13 for a course and dessert. Served hot and made fresh, paired perfectly with one of their cold crisp beers. A bit of a dim venue but it matches the vibe. Perfect for an intimate meal or a large party.
My family and I have been coming to BJ’s for a few years now. They probably have one of the most diverse menus in the fairlawn area. It’s pages upon pages of food selection, which I love, because it allows you to follow a certain diet while visiting a restaurant. The food tastes amazing, the place is beautiful and very spacious, the staff has always been nice and they pretty much take care of you even if an item in the food order is missed my mistake. The level of service has been amazing, anyone visiting Ohio should try this place.
It was a great experience! Good food, delicious drinks, good service and no wait time. We will be back
Wow! My first time coming here and i was impressed. Food- 9/10 They have A LOT on the menu. The appetizers came out very fast. I enjoyed the mozzerella sticks. The entree came out at the perfect time hot and juicy. I loved the parmesan crusted chicken, they are really giving olive garden and longhorn a run for their money. The basil and sun dried tomatoes on top gave it a great fresh burst of flavor. I requested the broccoli to be cooked very soft and it was perfect! Best broccoli have had at a resturant. The mashed potatoes were geat as well. The drinks were good, I enjoyed the strawberry mocktail. Finally dessert was very very sugary but scrumptious. My favorite was the white chocolate macodamia nut, strawberry shortcake was a close second. Service- 10/10 genuinely some of the best service ive had. She was very professional and fast. Vibe- 10/10 im so glad they turned the lights up as it got dark outside, i love to be able to see my food well and it was too dark until the lights popped on. The music was great. I really think ill be back soon! Side note- i was surprised to see the reviews only at 4 stars after my visit, they really went above and beyond and if youre on the fence about going just go! I had a fantastic meal and experience.
This is a nice place for you and someone special to just have a nice casual dinner in a clean, peaceful atmosphere. For a dinner for two all of the photos that you see that posted salmon, calamari, roasted Brussel sprouts and drinks costed about 100$ for two. The food tasted really good. The servers were very nice and food was delivered in a timely manner. I see a lot of negative reviews which is surprising. I think you have to disregard most of these reviews because after the Covid pandemic consumers & customers if you are in the service industry you probably agree that people are very rude, impatient & entitled. They expect when they snapp your fingers that you come running. They are not understand that the staff and workers are doing the best that they can under the circumstances that they are short handed. Have a little patience and you will find that you will have a great dinner accommodating service at a cost that doesn’t empty your wallets enjoy!
Stopped in for amazing service they was busy. But we received our dinner in 20mins after ordering it. That's amazing timing for a dinner rush timing. So ill put that as fast when im a chef and was a cook at one point in my life. Caught the mini Pzookie cookie on sale with dinner. And got some cool glasses on sale. Thanks for a wonderful dinner it was delectable. Waitress and waiter was patient as my grandma is a handful. Thanks again
This place was SO good! It's right next to Summit Mall. Caydance was a great waitress and even though it was just me, she took great care of me. Thank you for the recommendation on the pizookie! I had the jambalaya which was seasoned to perfection and had just the right amount of kick that it reminded me of my time in New Orleans. Then there was this pizookie thing which destroyed my calorie count for the day...so it ended up being a "cheat day" for me. I definitely recommend going here if you have the opportunity. It was a busy Saturday night and I only ended up waiting about ten minutes. The hostess was very nice, and so was one of the managers I spoke with. Thank you again!
Great place with really good food. We had really good service during our meal. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean and well maintained. I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere inside. Our server was extremely sweet and willing to answer all of our questions about the food and the drinks. They offer gluten free options and vegetarian options. They even had a few gluten free alcoholic ciders for us to try! I liked one so much that I bought a refillable growler with one. When we return I can get a discount for already having a growler to fill! Decently priced all around and the location was easy to find. They had plenty of parking and were handicapped accessible. I will definitely be returning.
I do not usually go to the large chain establishments, but this was a good experience. Ordered a couple of their craft beers and dinner. I chose the BJ Original wings, and they were good. I like my wings tender, not chewy, and these were well prepared. They come with celery sticks and dip. Our server was also good, friendly, and efficient.
Came in at 3pm, gentlemen who sat us was very kind, and our server Randy was very helpful. We both had Randy choose our entrees and we both loved them! Not super busy either. Chicken sandwich was delicious & so was the southern fried chicken! Also our marg flight was delicious :)
The burgers are great and my wife and I just tried their pizza today. It's was delicious! The deep dish is fluffy and crispy, the sauce is amazing and the cheese was melted to perfection. I didn't that usual bitter taste that some of the pizza chains have (looking at you pizza hut). Will definitely be getting this again!
Kasey B was an amazing server/waitress!! She answered all of our questions and truly gave service with a smile!!! Go Kasey!!
destiny was the best server she’s so sweet we had a large party and she was very funny. she also recommended us the monkey bread pizookie which was 10/10.
My grandson picked up dinner after work one day. Everything was so good. The fries were still crispy in a cardboard not plastic container. Good move BJ'S. Loved the Pazookie!!
Our server Destiny was so great and nice!! We had a big table and she got all the orders and checks right! We love Destiny
Had a great meal here with my friend! Our waiter Dierre F was fantastic! He was super personable and always checked in! Definitely recommend the 3 course weekend dinner special
The bartender, Heather, was fantastic! She is very friendly, responsive, professional, and knowledgeable about the food and drink options. I come back here regularly and it’s mainly because of the great service.
Stopped in and had the jambalaya and a pizookie. Food was amazing and John was on point. Both the food and the service combined for a pretty amazing experience.
Lyna was a great server. Our order was perfect even after we asked for many exceptions on our food.
We come into BJs at the Fairlawn OH location and love walking up to the bar. It is quick and easy! We love Heather the bartender! She provides excellent customer service and makes great recommendations on food and drink options. If it wasn’t for Heather, we would not be a frequent customer! BJ’s make sure you take good care of your amazing employees! Keep up the great work Heather!
I went to Bjs Brewhouse Friday around 9:30 I ordered take out got there, walked inside I saw a person standing in the takeout area Sweetest guy ever his name was Brendon Hill. He explained to me he was a Dishwasher, and needed to get back to the station. Bjs has always done well with there staff very polite and respectful. I will be returning.
I had a great experience at this shop from start to finish. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly without rushing me. The space was clean and well organized, and the service was completed exactly as promised. Pricing was fair and transparent, and I felt confident I was treated honestly. I would absolutely return and recommend this place to others looking for reliable service.
Have been here numerous times and really enjoy it. Wait staff have always been friendly. It is a bit loud in their restaurants and a bit dark for dinner. The Monday- Friday meal deal options including a small pizookie are a great deal. Pricing is reasonable. Favorites are shrimp scampi pasta (they leave tails on) and the good-sized Smashburgers. You can earn free pizookies over time if joining online. If you get a normal, large-sized pizookie, for goodness sake, share it! Delicious!
Kacey was excellent! She was very authentic and a fun server to have on Christmas Eve. Our food was top notch all around. The chocolate porter they have here is just sooo tasty. If it were my business I'd hire Kacey and tonight's cooks for sure. Highly recommended!
I ordered a classic rib eye stake with mashed potato and starter salad. Foods were good, clean and minimally seasoned, you get tastes of individual components. If you like natural grilled style this is perfect. For me,I prefer to have a little more seasoning and crisp crust.
Came for lunch a little after they opened. Was seated right away. Ordered the special, which was a steak and side with a pazookie for my boyfriend. I ordered the French dip with fries, and it came with coleslaw. I didn't eat the coleslaw because there was a white hair in it. The fries were cold, and that was disappointing. All other food items were good. When we ordered the pizookie, we asked for no pecans, and it came out after a 10 min wait with extra pecans, so we sent it back and waited another 10 mins. It was delicious. The restaurant wasn't busy, and the food came quickly. Just not the experience I expected for the price paid. $40 lunch for two. Then $10 tip.
Well the food was good but I ordered the smash burger and fries no garden . So when it came it had lettuce and pickles on it . And the place was probably pretty inside but it was so dark in there you couldn't hardly see the menu. The guy and his brother next to me used there flashlight on the phone to read the menu. My food was ok my fries were not fresh . So for me not a real good first impression.
The food here is fine. It's tastes fine. But it's way overpriced for the portion sizes and the quality. The baked penned tasted fine but the noodles where massively overcooked. The chicken pita tacos where fine nothing mind blowing underseasoned but fine. Over proced for 2 tacos for sure. The Mac and cheese bites where again overpriced but tasted fine the inclusion of a cheese sauce to dip mac bites in is a little odd when they where mostly the same sauce on the inside. The pizza cookie again tastes fine. But was under baked. At the prices they are charging for everything the food should be much better. They are positio ing themselves prices wise in the upper teir of chain resturants. It is more expensive than applebess but feels about the same quality. But a big knock to this place is how long the food takes to arrive. It's very slow service do not expect anything to arrive fast. The full service from start to finish was about 1 and half hours. I also would not recommend the cocktails here very out of balance. They are very sweet. Again for the price I'd expect more from them. This really just comes down to quality vs the price. If everything had like $5 knocled off the price it'd be perfect 5 stars no notes. It would match my expectations. But the garlic knot that comes with the pasta is a frozen knot that I have bought at a grocery store and is nothing special. You absolutely can find better places in the area at the same price point or less.
I usually love this place, your wings, burgers, and apps, but the soup was hands-down the worst thing I’ve ever had here by a long shot. Calling it “soup” is generous. What I got was more like a bowl of gloopy, coagulated cheddar cheese slime. Every scoop came up in jiggling globs like Jell-O, and the texture was downright impossible to stomach. If it weren’t for the oyster crackers, I wouldn’t have made it past 5–6 bites before tossing it. I get that a lot of lower-end soups are canned or bagged, but this was an awful choice and honestly shouldn’t even be on the menu. Besides this, all the other menu items have been great.
Very nice atmosphere but a little noisy. Did not want to sit us until our whole group was present. The food was good but over priced. We looked at the menu online but it must be an old copy. Beer...a 16oz Blue Moon and Sam Adams lager were 8.49 each, ouch. A gluten free pizza was 24 and was enough for one person. The regular pizza with a couple toppings was 22 and not very big. Service was very good, a table of 8 on a busy night and our server was on top of things.
We came to celebrate my husband's birthday. We arrived at 7:30 pm, waited an extremely long time to be seated, almost an hour, and watched another larger party go ahead of us even though we were there first and waiting. When we were finally seated, we didn't get to order until about 9 pm. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. As shown in the pictures, I was served a burnt crispy sandwich rock. When I got the waitresses' attention, she stated, "Yes, the oil is probably old because we've been using it all day - try ordering something that doesn't need to be fried." I'm shocked no one in the kitchen is doing any quality control, because why was this sandwich even allowed to come out of the kitchen and served to a guest? I ordered something different but ended up putting it in a to go box when it finally came out because we'd been there so long.
The food was not its best. I only asked for non tomatoes. They took everything off and light flavor. Not good work Bj's.
love their boneless wings, the sigh a "full pound". there are 450 grams in a pound and here are my last two orders. Want to love it, but getting tired of being disappointed
Ordered 2 Mediterranean taco dinners that come with quinoa sides. When I got home and opened the order the tacos were only 1/4 to 1/3 filled at best and missing ingredients! No quinoa sides either. Paid @$42 for that with tip. Didn't drive back to return it and say something because we were starved. So we are what amounted to appetizers. Also small 1/4 filled cups of watered down Greek sauce. Contacted company about it and heard nothing. We are not at all complainers, but really disappointed with this. Really like BJ's experience usually.
The last couple of times that I have been to this restaurant, the service has been abysmal at best. Today it was the same, abyamal. Our server Gabe was pleasant but was generally ineffective. We asked for ketchup, but it never came, so we got up and went to another table to get some. I asked for extra BBQ sauce and the ketchup when he brought out the entree, and the BBQ sauce came out when I had eaten 90% of the burger. We asked for drink refills, and they came out ten minutes later. The meal was decent, in fact, the tortilla soup my partner ordered was amazing. The other two guests also thought their meal was decent. Four guests amassed a good amount of dirty dishes that were not cleared until 20 minutes after we completed our meals. It was not that busy on a Wednesday at 3 p.m., but maybe our server was stretched. One thing for sure, the meal was not discounted as a result of stretched staffing levels. No matter how good the meal is at any restaurant, poor service ruins the dining experience.
Visit started with being seated by obvious annoyed host then a 10 minute wait for a server to visit the table. Ordered appetizers and asked those to come first. After another 10 (no appetizers yet) gave order for the deep.dish pizza which arrived about 15 minutes later, about 5 minutes before our appetizers. Food was OK. Pizza came in a deep pan but was all thick crust. The only time we saw the server again was when she came to.apologize for the order the food arrived blaming the kitchen and to bring our bill. Overall a very disappointing first and last time visit for the price which at $30 for the pizza was not cheap.
Carryout lady was rude and hung up on me then I finally went in and got my nashville chicken sandwich it was solid, but average. 17.99 heeeck no 11.99 sandwich more accurate with the service id charge 7.99 but anyway barbecue burgers boof too
202409, in larger group. Pros: Wife liked her dish. Cons: NO COKE products (dust off your wallet considering your price for a beverage), requested more than a TWO ounces of ranch - considering I got the wings plain - never received - probably would have added to the cost, they do NOT have tabasco (second hit to dusting off your wallet), limited menu if you are on a restricted diet (celiac), and overall, slow. Near sixty bucks for a pan fried chicken breast and 10 wings. Place was not busy, yet it was loud and dark. YMMV, but this was our second experience at this location and fourth overall - and for me (My Opinion/choice) this is way down on the list of chains. No Diet Coke, no tabasco, no knowledge of ingredients (and if the server has to go to the kitchen and ask about it - you food will come out season-less), and 18% tip for not getting anymore ranch or refilling drinks... I don't blame the server - the fact you dump a large table on just her - genius idea - keeping all the other help twiddling their thumbs in case you reached that 50% point in a rush (come on). Sorry, perhaps an off night - but it seems every experience here is an off night for the location /brand, and compared to any of the other chains the value rating is lacking.
Update ripoff ripoff!! How does this place keep on getting customers to pay so much for so little! Downgraded to all one star ⭐ Unless you like overpaying for food I would avoid this place I came here with my two sons and we ate $100. Too much for the small amounts and quality. Watched a lady get carry out bring back they forgot her chips and food was burnt she showed it to me 2 containers small amounts for 35 bucks. It's amazing this place is packed people just like overpaying for food I guess if they have money to burn.
Food took way too long to come and the restaurant was dead… when it did, my “medium” filet was GRAY on the outsides and cold pink in the middle. Hands down the most disgusting steak I’ve ever had a restaurant and it’s even more ridiculous that it took 30 minutes to cook.
On my second visit to BJ’s, I’ve encountered consistent issues. Despite scheduling my pickup for 8 pm both times, upon arrival, nobody answers the phone for curbside service. Although I don’t mind going in, it defeats the purpose. Additionally, my food was ready much earlier than expected, leaving it to sit for hours and arrive cold. Moreover, both times, my pizza was squished by other items piled on top. While the food itself was tasty, these repeated mishaps have led me to reconsider dining at this BJ’s location in the future.
2nd try same experience. Happy hour drinks rang up full price. Bartender had major attitude both times and no apologies just a major attitude. All she had to do was say "Im so sorry, I didnt notice that. Let me fix it" and that would have been fine. If you know its happy hour and people come there FOR HAPPY HOUR...you might check the tabs and avoid the problem. Or send your manager to fix the system so it doesnt ruin your customers experience. Didnt ask for my points acct#, nothing. Couldnt leave fast enough after that. This is the ONLY bj's I have had this problem. Lots of other options. Good luck Fairlawn Bj,s. Im done.
We came on a week night around 700. We were seated and no one came to our table for anything. The restaurant wasnt even half full. We finally just walked out. I have enjoyed their food in the past, but there are too many choices in the area to choose from for literally no service. Don't think we will return. I definitely feel this location is going down hill.
My food came out burnt twice. My wife’s food came out overcooked and rubbery chicken. The only thing they could accomplish was french fries The manager came over to talk to our table and didn’t even give a crap about our horrible food. This guy is literally the worst manager I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. We were at the restaurant p.m. on November 28 just so you know who the manager is
This review is strictly for the new pizza recipe. I’ve been here a dozen times, I always order the pizza until today when I realized they changed their recipe:/ always great service & a good time until they changed the pizza recipe :(
Absolutely one of the worse dinners I have had before ng a celiac the limited menu is an embarrassment to what the web site shows the burger was tasteless and bland the bun was dry having to send it back because the cross contaminated it with the " gluten sensitive" sauce the waitress was emotionless and poor attitude !!! Not a good place for people with any food allergies
This was our first visit to this restaurant. It was a nightmare! I ordered a personal pizza and a wedge salad. When I ordered the salad I asked for extra balsamic GLAZE not dressing. She brought it out with balsamic dressing. I said no, I wanted it with the typical blue cheese dressing and drizzled balsamic glaze like a wedge should be served. The waitress who was clueless said she never heard of it being ordered that way. That is how a wedge salad is served everywhere! The pizza was nothing more than a frozen Red Baron personal pizza. Nothing homemade about that. They loaded it with tons of pepperoni so maybe you wouldn’t notice it was a premade frozen pizza. It was served lukewarm. Actually cold in my opinion. It was awful. My boyfriend ordered a burger and fries. His burger came out and when he took the first bite it was totally burned! I’m talking totally black. And half inch of char in the meat. How could a cook not notice when he took it off the grill that it was burned before he put it on the bun? The fries were so salty, and were nothing more than frozen fries just warmed up in the oven! So when the waitress finally appeared; we sent it back. The manager brought another one which was really greasy. He never offered to reduce the price or take it off the bill. He only made some small talk and left. Never came back to see if that burger was ok. My other friends got the prime rib. It was a small thin piece with lots of fat and gristle. There was no juice on the plate like prime rib usually has because it was dry. It was not ordered well done. One of their wedge salads came out with Italian dressing for some reason. The waitress took it back and brought it back with no dressing! So she went and brought some dressing just to put on top. So all the topping were buried under the dressing. No balsamic glaze. By that time he was pretty agitated because his good came out and the salad problem was still not fixed. So by the time he ate his salad the food was cold. Then the bills came and she over charged our friends for extra salads. Which one comes with the dinner. My bill was right but that food was so overpriced. We dine out 5 out of 7 days a week. Rarely is our bill over $35-$40 for a bar type atmosphere food. It was over $50 so $60 with a tip for pizza salad and a burger and fries! We would not have minded if it was good; but it was far from good. The waitress was pleasant but could have been much more attentive when everything was going bad at the table. She kind of disappeared. The only thing we enjoyed was the music!!! The manager should have comped our meals. Or at least discounted them. Our friends have been to the North Olmsted BJ’s and said it was not like this at all. Personally I usually give restaurants a chance to redeem themselves. But not this time. There is nothing really homemade about their food. Don’t waste your time and money!!!
