Decided to stop in for a late dinner. Marissa was our server, at a bar high top. She was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the fish and chips, amazing. I highly recommend it. I wasn't a huge fan of the coleslaw, but the fries and fish were cooked perfectly.

Grand Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants. I have had many dishes there and the food and service are consistently good. I would recommend.

The Nina's Vineyard salad, although a smidge pricey at a glance was very large, with conpletely fresh vegetables and avocado and delicious hot bread. The large portion of balsamic vinagrette tasted even in the oil and vinegar; not diluted or too heavy. Their salads are full of the pecans, cranberries, shredded apple and cucumber, and bleu cheese stated in the description. Waitress was attentive and chipper. Great customer service. Very happy and will come again.

These are the best nachos in the state! I prefer the chicken nachos over the brisket nachos (checkin is less fatty). What I love about their nachos are the fresh ingredients. They use fresh cut jalapeños, fire roasted salsa, homemade queso, and melted cheese. I order the queso on the side so the nachos don't fet soggy. Great atmosphere everyone knows each other and super friendly staff. This place is a gem!

We are here for the first time late night at the bar and Rachel was fabulous! The food is amazing and came out quick. The brisket quesadilla and truffle fries are incredible. We will be back because of Rachel alone! They also have nonalcoholic beer options which I appreciate

I was able to reserve a table for a large party on a busy night with a Lions playoff game. Three additional people joined my party, and the staff was able to accommodate all of us. The service was both friendly and efficient. We felt taken care of. The menu offered creative, diverse options, and the quality of the food was high. Portions sizes were generous, too. It was my first time at Grand Tavern and I'm looking forward to going again! Superb. Sets a high standard for sports bars.

We’ve been regulars here for a while and always have a great experience, but Maddison Canedo really stood out. She was friendly, helpful, and knew the menu inside and out. My daughter and I arrived around 9 and were out by before 9:45! I order the chicken Cesar wrap which was delicious. The fries were well seasoned and they gave us a generous portion. It was a mix crowd with a medium movie level. The service was quick and good! I for sure plan on returning.

2023-Food was good. Taco Tuesday was a great deal. Tacos are a little small but I got 3 and was full. Burger were served fast and correct as ordered. Fries may seem over seasoned to some but I think they are enjoyable if they don't need anything even ketchup. July 2024- visit d again service was fast Loaded Tots were amazing. The Brisket Mac & Cheese changed my life. The service was great, the music they played was fantastic, and I got my entree before I even finished my appetizers. Would highly recommend.

I was very impressed with my lunch here. The staff was very friendly and the service was very good. This steak and potato soup was great. The ruby red trout and rigatoni was also quite good. Overall, I was very impressed and I am looking forward to my next visit. 2019-05-09: The Almond salmon was very delicious. The soups are quite impressive too. Great corn chowder and French onion soups. The fish and chips have been a little soggy twice now, so it may be best to avoid that.

I visited the Grand Tavern in Farmington Hills on a Thursday for a private retirement party for a co worker and had a great time. We were given a private area although the bar area would've been nice and spacious. We ordered a ton of appetizers and I had a chicken Caesar salad for my entree. All the food was super tasty and the wait staff was very nice and attentive!

We had our pickleball group holiday party there today. There were around 40 of us. Missy(?) and Jasmine were are waitstaff. I can't say enough about how wonderful they are. We ordered off the menu and had separate checks. I am sure the kitchen was going crazy. Managers and staff were great to work with.

Management went out her way to make a special drink for my friend. It was something that wasn't on the menu. I ordered the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious. The fries were a little salty as I don't add salt to my food. The service was great. The price was reasonable. This was my first time visiting.

I’d give 10 stars in each category if I could! My family and I had a wonderful dining experience on Thursday night at Grand Tavern. We were seeking a restaurant that had outdoor dining, and a good gluten free menu; and Grand Tavern checked all of those boxes, and beyond! Benji helped us on the patio, he was genuinely kind, warm, professional, and went above and beyond for us. I give Benji ten thousand stars! He made great meal suggestions to us, and my family and I were highly impressed with the food that we ordered. We will definitely return to Grand Tavern, and I’ll recommend it to my extended family and friends. Thanks again to Benji and the entire staff of Grand Tavern for a magnificent night!

A fun environment, great service, and good food. The menu had a lot of great things on it, but I landed with chicken tenders and a baked potato because of my dietary needs. My husband went with the fish. Our server was Alexis, who was fabulous, and we enjoyed talking about books with the hostess.

We found this place on Google after leaving the movie theater. The food was amazing! We started with the caribbean jerk wings (bone-in) and the chicken was falling off the bone. My guy had the Mahi tacos, they had such great flavor and I had the Grand Nacho minus the lettuce. It was loaded. It came with salsa and sour cream. I enjoyed it. Jasmine was a great waitress and she made sure to remove everything we didn’t need from the table and she brought refills when needed. Overall, it was a great dining experience!

Great food and great service! We sat on the outside patio at lunchtime. Tried Curry Chicken Bowl, Brisket Mac N Cheese, Wings and Salad. Food came quickly and was delicious. It is pricey, but it is totally worth it. We will come back again!! Vegetarian friendly.

This Grand tavern lake most of them is composed of a relatively large building with A lot of interior seating. They have booths, tables, and a bar. The food was good, I had the fish and chips, and the drinks were plentiful. Parking is some limited out front but there are many additional slots around the building. The nearby strip mall was quite busy so there may be parking issues if it's a busy time. The interior was overly loud but having a booth near the exterior made it more than tolerable.

Good fries and good beer. I’m glad I visited here. Not a bad time at all.

The staff here are friendly, the restaurant was clean and looked to be well run. The food was good, the noise level was a little loud, not that that's a bad thing, just something to be aware of. All in all we had a very nice time and didn't spend a lot of money for dinner.

They got rid of the garlic burger which is unacceptable, which is my favorite menu item here, the new menu style is nice though. Updated Nov 15th, from the response from the restaurant, I was suggested to try the brisket burger, there was brisket however it comes with a McDonald's sized patty in it, very displeased, make it easy and bring back the garlic burger which is unique to this establishment.

Really liked Grand Tavern meal, had not visited in years. Had fish tacos and grilled BLT sandwich (pictured). Several TVs around to watch sports. Servers were friendly and food arrived in reasonable time. Plenty of choices on the menu. I will definitely be back to try other entrees!

Fast waitress and food service to me and my granddaughter. Ordered fish & fries and lge mix salad. meals were delicious. The menu with a variety of food is priced reasonably. There are no tarif charges attached...LOL Small crowd at the time & not too noisy during dinner hour on a Saturday at dusk. I would revisit when in the area.

The only thing I’ve ever had from here that was bad is the chicken quesadilla. Order anything besides that. Quite literally the worst thing I’ve ever had. Was not edible. Chicken was completely dried out. Almost like it was microwaved. Other than that everything here is amazing. Just stay away from the quesadillas.

Nice tavern with friendly staff. This weekend they celebrated 10year anniversary. That is a great achievement. Congratulations. The bar was pretty full up to almost the end at 2am. Prices were reasonable. And the tables were decorated nicely. Overall we had a good time with our guests. Thank you.

I stopped here randomly for lunch today. The waitress/hostess was pretty on top of things. I had 3 of the 2 dollar tacos, a margarita and a cook of their famous french onion soup. Great price as well. I will definitely return.

Nice local tavern in Farmington. Come here for lunch sometimes when in the area. The staff are very polite and take good care of us. The food comes out quick and is really good. They have a good beer and drink selection from the bar.

Average place for drinks and bar food. Too expensive for the amount of food. These were my $13 cheese sticks.

A group of my Pickleball friends ate lunch and everyone was pleased with the food. I had the Brisket and cheese burger with Sweet Potatoe Fries and spicy bean soup. Everything was delicious, but the soup was a tad salty.

This was my first time at the Grand Tavern in Farmington Hills. I went there with a group and we had a reserved table. We were brought to the table as soon as we arrived. Our waitress was very nice and did a good job delivering the food and checking up on us especially since we had a pretty big group. I had the Chicken Ceasar wrap with fries and it was pretty good! The Caesar dressing had a little more kick to it than I'm used to. The fries were delicious! Perfectly crisp. I'd definitely come back again :)

We stopped in for a bite a few beers. The beer menu is respectably diverse but not large. Our server was very nice and accommodating. We tried a couple of different crafts and IPAs that none have had before and ordered meals. The food was good but nothing special. Just average fare. We went for the atmosphere and chance to visit with friends over some beers and weren't disappointed. It was busy but not loud, conversation wasn't a problem.

Since when do restaurants charge for condiments??? Last I checked mustard, ketchup, bbq sauce, steak sauce, salsa, salad dressings are all a form of condiment. Depending on what you order is what you should get. So why did I get charged for salsa when ordering tacos? It’s not the cost it’s the principle. It’s so cheap to make and yet they charge. Ridiculous!!!!

Texas Roadhoase is better than this. I was trying to support a local establishment. The ribeye was thin and well done when I asked for medium, mashed potatoes were odd... and for a $30 steak, no thanks..

Food was good however I was charged an extra 5 dollars for a beer we didn't order. I didn't notice it till after I paid and it's not a big deal. The waitress kind of just left us. It's possible we held up the booth for a while and aggravated her but there were plenty of empty booths. Even so just let us know and we would leave, . Good food, and I will be back but that was unfortunate. I still had a great time. I had the Caesar wrap which was great. Their waffle fries and rubens are amazing.

The food was good, but the service was slow. We jad a retirement party there for a coworker. When my friend wanted a drink the waitress totally ignored her and walked by. We both waved her down called her , hello, excuse me, something. When we finally got her attention, my friend said to her, don't forget about the drinks. The waitress said im getting it, I only have 2 hands. After the snap, she was rude the whole time after that. So would I go back? Probably not.

Even though the decor inside was very dark & in need of renovation, our waitress was amazing. I enjoyed the side salad with house made blue cheese dressing. The freshly made salmon burger was a tad heavy on the dill; but with the add on of provolone, grilled onions, guacamole & its side of tater tots, overall lunch was good

I hate to give the low rating given how nice the service was and I came in 40 min before close, but the supposedly great pasta had a lot of sodium that made me not feel well for a few hours after eating here even though I didn't eat any sauce not on pasta, and there was about 3/4 inch of sauce on the bottom. The pasta was a bit soft, I prefer al dente, but the firmness wasn't trying to be that. The bartender was very very nice and the draft beer was great in a cold, clean glass. The atmosphere was average sports bar vibes.

Our server was great! The food however was not very good. We ordered the teriyaki steak bites and they were rubbery and unseasoned then tossed in sauce. The brisket burger was not what we expected either. The burger consisted of a thin beef patty with chunks of unseasoned brisket smothered in cheese. The best item was their basic cheese burger and fries.

Came for the taco night and disappointed. I had been to a few other places special Taco Tuesday and this is at the bottom. Tacos are just like Taco Bell. You had to order chip and salsa from the regular menu. Service was what you expect. Might come back for their regular menu.

I am writing to share my review regarding our first order from this establishment. We recently ordered two - Fish & Chips Dinners for carryout and were quoted a special price over the phone. However, upon arrival, we were not given that price. When I called to clarify, I was told the special "only applied to dine-in orders with a beverage purchase". We were not told that while placing our order over the phone. Additionally, despite living only minutes away, the quality of the meal was disappointing. The fish was greasy and the fries were limp. We were eager to support a local business, but this experience was not worth the $41.00 we paid. I hope this tavern find this feedback helpful for improving their service and communication regarding pricing.

Overpriced. +0.75 for cheese on a burger. +1.50 for guac on a quesadilla. Served us a cocktail in a jagged broken glass and didn’t comp it. Would not recommend.

Multiple chargers on one meal. Not the first time. Will never go back. Edit: How does someone ‘accidentally’ charge my card for over $100 across multiple tables? Forgive me if I’m skeptical, but I have a few theories: a) Perhaps the servers were helping out a friend. b) Maybe my card was used to cover a walkout, considering most of the surrounding tables were occupied by teenagers. Either way, this doesn’t add up.

Walked in to pick up my to go order. Hostess was only good part of the experience. The blonde, young bartender had an attitude exactly like you’d expect when you see her. Asked if I had a pick up order. I said yes. She then proceeds to ignore me until a gentleman asked if I need help. I said I’m not sure, I had told the bartender I have a pick up order. He goes and gets my food in about 30 seconds. Other than the bad service, fries were cold, bun wasn’t grilled, and burger was undercooked. Terrible experience.

I don’t even want to give one star. I cannot believe the amount of good reviews i’m reading here. First of all, such a rude waitress. As a waitress myself I am very understanding and support other servers when I go out but she was so awfully unpleasant. Ordered an appetizer of pretzels with a cheese dip, the pretzels are still frozen on the top. Sent them back… Comes back clearly microwaved but whatever. Then our meals come, someone at my table ordered the salmon which appeared super pink and barely cooked. Ok. I ordered a lemon chicken which appeared to be one of their highlighted menu items. It came with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus, ICE COLD! Seriously ice cold like it just came out of the fridge.Again I tell my waitress my sides are cold (in a very nice non karen way) and her response is extremely snarky and she says “Sigh, well I’m just gonna bring you a new side” Ok…. She returns with only a side of mashed potatoes so I keep my freezing cold asparagus I guess. Mashed potatoes were lumpy and had a super strong sour cream taste or something? We were all just disgusted at this point. Listening to another table I noticed other people complaining and had the manager come to their table. Not to mention my mom ordered a tomato soup with her dinner which never showed. Looking back I wish I would have also spoken to the manager because this lady was making us feel like a huge burden. Coney island level food for top price. Awful. I feel like I was cheated from my money. I am not a complainer but waking up this morning I’m still mad about this terrible experience.
