Fantastic night out! The atmosphere was such a vibe. From the lounge seating to the cozy holiday decor to the upscale bathrooms, no detail was left unnoticed. The server was beyond delightful. We were celebrating a birthday which we noted on our reservation. They surprised us with a birthday card and branded low ball glass - so incredibly thoughtful. The cocktails were tasty, though pretty expensive. The warm chocolate chip cookies were exceptionally delicious.

Elegant prohibition-era speaker easy bar with elegant decor and wonderful cocktails! Wonderful service and ambiance and I highly recommend!

My cousins and I hit up The Ebenezer and enjoyed delicious cocktails. The seasonal syrup was a strawberry peach - I tried that with Titos. Refreshing with the taste of real fruit. I also tried the Pineapple Daquiri, which is made with pineapple rum not pineapple juice. It packs a punch! My cousin got a classic Cosmopolitan that she LOVED so much, she ordered too. Our group also tried a few other options and everyone left having loved their cocktails. Thank you!

Cool environment. Feels like you are walking into an old school speakeasy, but with top shelf drinks and excellent food. We had a great time. Portions were generous and definitely shareable. A great place to relax with a cocktail, great food and a chill environment.

This speakeasy in the basement of the Ledger is expensive and worth it. I had the tuna others had the shawarma and the wagyu sliders. All the food was excellent. The comment from the person having the wagyu sliders was it was the best burger they ever had.

Absolutely stunning. One of my favorite spots ever. I’m obsessed with the ambiance and the aesthetic of this spot. Such amazing conversations happen here, drinks are amazing, staff are incredible, and the food is such a nice experience. 100% would come back.

What a cool place! We stopped for drinks. Stepping inside feels like you're in an underground speakeasy. Classy vintage prohibition era decor. The drinks were fabulous and I can't wait to go back and try the food.

This is my kind of place. Speakeasy vibes with low lights and swank surroundings (look for the red light). The bartenders knew what they were doing and did it well. Though I sat at the bar as I was solo, I would have enjoyed to sit at any of the comfortable and stylish areas around the establishment. There was a little tasting room look (pictured) on the way to the bathroom that I thought was particularly cool. Definitely worth a trip. Also conveniently next to the 3 hour free city parking lot.

I went to the Ebenezer on September 1st to celebrate my birthday. Service and food quality was beyond expectation. I was served by Caitlyn who had an exceptional knowledge of the cocktails. Despite the fact she was extremely busy she didn't fail to make us feel like we were her only guests. The craft cocktails were executed to perfection. We had a number of appetizers and finished the night with an exceptionally cooked lamb shank. The atmosphere was energetic and refreshing. By the end of the night the DJ had a number of people dancing bumping catchy upbeat music. All and all the night was one to remember.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and we had the best time. The food was amazing, my husband got the fries and the brisket sliders and I got the mac and cheese bites and filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. Our drinks were to die for and our server was upbeat and bubbly. We will definitely be back

Unique spot for a cocktail. The space is hidden in the basement and has a cool ‘secret’ entrance. The staff are friendly and the drinks are very well made. They definitely cater to a higher end clientele. The prices are high but its worth it for the premium cocktails they serve.

Definitely worth 5 stars. So we probably passed by this place 100 times. Late one night some friend said let's go in here because another popular bar was not letting people in unless you knew someone. Needless to say it was almost like a speakeasy because its so hidden in my mind. We didn't walk through the whole place from what I remember there wasn't many windows it was pretty dark and was a pretty good class of people. We were with a group agee between 30 and 50 and that seemed like it was our crowd. We didn't see and rif raff or under age people here. We will be back again

Great drinks. Loved the look of it. A relaxing speakeasy vibe. Dress up or wear shorts and sandals, you will feel comfortable either way.

The Ebenezer is hands-down one of the best speakeasies I’ve ever been to. The ambiance is perfectly moody and intimate — dim lighting, vintage decor, and jazz vibes that transport you straight into another era. The cocktails are next-level: expertly crafted, creative, and consistently delicious. The staff is welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable — they’ll always steer you toward something amazing, whether you’re into classics or something more adventurous. It’s the kind of place you almost don’t want to share… but it’s too good not to. A true hidden gem.

The Ebenezer in Plymouth is a gem—spacious yet intimate, with a modern-classic speakeasy vibe that sets the perfect tone for a great night out. Entering from the back of the building, you feel like you're being transported into a true speakeasy experience, adding to the charm and intrigue. The bartenders are highly skilled, crafting exceptional cocktails, whether from the menu or on-the-spot freestyle requests. The food is just as impressive, making this spot more than just a cocktail destination. Beyond the drinks and dining, they go all out with their decor, especially for Halloween and the holiday season, transforming the space into something spectacular. I've visited multiple times over the years, and it remains a must-do every time I'm in Plymouth. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates top-tier cocktails, great ambiance, and a touch of seasonal magic.

We did not eat, but the drinks were delicious, the vibe was cool (and a little scary - the blacked out hallway was a cool touch). We didn't have a reservation, but were able to sit at the bar. Bartenders were fun to watch and attentive!

This place is amazing with live jazz every Sunday 6-9pm. I love this scene. It is certainly one of Detroit Metro’s best kept secrets. It is hard for me to find a place where I can sit to eat from a couch and the table is the appropriate spot. This is a perfect date spot.

What an extraordinary venue for any occasion! Had a magnificent experience with two friends in a festively decorated atmosphere. Fun music and a delicious drink complimenting a fabulous dessert made for a wonderful time. Highly recommend the pumpkin espresso martini, and the lava cake! Both friends enjoyed their food as well. Can’t wait to come back and see the holiday decor and try more of the delicious-sounding drink options!

Ebenezer Restaurant in Plymouth is a hidden gem that truly captures a speakeasy vibe, transporting you back to a more glamorous era. The moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The dim lighting and stylish decor create an intimate atmosphere that's perfect for a date night or a special occasion. The cocktail menu is impressive, featuring a variety of expertly crafted drinks that are as delicious as they are visually stunning. Each sip showcases the skill of the bartenders, making it hard to choose just one! As for the food, it doesn’t disappoint. The menu offers a fantastic selection, with dishes that are both innovative and comforting. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The service was equally commendable—attentive without being intrusive, making sure we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. Overall, Ebenezer offers a delightful dining experience that combines great cocktails, fantastic food, and top-notch service. It's definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to return for another round of culinary delights!

I have visited The Ebenezer twice now in a span of 3 weeks. I found this place while search for hidden Detroit metro speakeasy. The menu and overall selection is fantastic, especially if you are a fan of premium bourbons. I recently took 2 colleagues from Sweden and a client for some appetizers and bourbon and everyone loved The Ebenezer. The service is excellent and I will be going back each month I am in town.

Caylee was very tentative and sweet! The atmosphere for a Valentine’s Day date was perfect and just intimate enough. We will definitely be back!

So glad we discovered this place. Decorated so cute for Christmas. We has delicious drinks and snacks in a super cozy atmosphere. Emily, our server, was top notch! Can't wait to go back.

Great atmosphere, good service, and tasty food. It is definitely on the pricier side, and the food is designed to small shareable bites. Make a reservation for easy seating.

Always a fun spot to visit. The environment is dark, the couches are comfortable, and the drinks are tasty. Perfect for a date night out when you need to catch up with your wife. Staff is friendly and attentive. A nice addition to the variety of the bars in downtown Plymouth.

Sydney recommended the best drinks! I normally hate bourbon and she ordered me a “Breakfast of Champions” and now I will order it everytime! Best server we’ve ever had!

If you want a special experience please go to the Ledger! Maya and Dristin were amazing setting us up for an amazing experience for my parents 60th Anniversary. We had a wonderful table with a special card just sitting down. Mike (our server) was amazing recommending the best dishes and cocktails for our dinner and brought us dessert and champagne for dessert (on the house) and then the staff sent us downstairs to the Ebenezer for an after dinner cocktail and conversation. It was the most amazing special dinner and after dinner drinks. I can’t recommend the Ledger more. An amazing night. Such a special dinner and more!

Excellent experience each time I’ve visited. The house of cards Valentine’s drink was delicious. Highly recommend trying it out! Our waitress Kailey was attentive and provided excellent service.

There was a slight misunderstanding with our reservation the other day. Staff handled it immediately and gave us cookies to make up for it. It wasn’t even an important dinner and we really could’ve sat anywhere, but the staff made sure to honor the reservation and helped us have the best night we could. I also came here for my 21st birthday a few months ago, and they helped me get accustomed to drinks and the staff members. This is a great spot.

My wife and I absolutely love this place! We always have great service and the servers are very knowledgeable when my wife, myself, or a guest are indecisive because too many of the drinks sound good. The atmosphere is perfect and we've hosted several large groups without any issue. If I had one negative to say, the DJ can get a little too loud on nights when they're there.

The speakeasy vibes, were impeccable. We showed up during a festival and had no issue getting a table, I guess it really is Plymouths best kept secret! Friendly staff, fast service. Only giving the food 4 out of 5 because despite being delicious everything was overly salty! As a foodie, former chef and bartender, I felt the cocktail garnish/presentation was weak. Happy to see they have some mocktails on the menu, although some of the cocktails cost less. Overall fantastic experience! Such a cool place, glad we came to try it.

Service was good. We loved the vibe of the place. It was pretty cool. The food was okay. We LOVED the Wagyu Sliders and the Steak Tips. And the Short Rib Flatbread was good. We did not like the Truffle Fries, and we were bummed out about it. The toppings were really good, but they were NOT crispy at all. Later on, they told us they were oven- baked. They should make that clear on the menu or when ordering. We would've definitely not ordered them. As far as the drinks, they were just okay. I did like the Inside Job.

Awesome Speakeasy type bar. Loved ambience and food quality. I was amazed to see their martini

i’ve walked past this place many times and never noticed it but i guess that’s the point of a speakeasy! the entrance was very cool and the ambiance inside as well. very classy, nice atmosphere. my favorite part of my experience was the bartenders. i forgot their names but very very cool people and very easy to get along with, had great conversations and he made great drinks for us as well. i stayed at the bar but will be coming back to dine in as well.

Cool spot. I got the rose martini because it’s looked cool. It’s a sweeter drink but overall not bad at all. The music was chill and we loved the ambience. Husband said there was a smell that was alarming. He said it smelled like a foul odor in the vents…..The parking was easy and close by. The secret entrance is a nice touch!

Went there for first time. Very cool environment. Similar to Speakeasy's in Louisville (Bourbon tour). Certainly a place to try, but expensive. 4 drinks and 2 appetizers were $125. If just 2 of you suggest sitting at Bar. Lots of action and can watch creating some of the cool drinks. (Like Rose Martini). The Wagu sliders OK, the flat breads were very good.

The Ebenezer is a really fun place with great cocktails. It gives speakeasy vibes - love the “secret entrance.” Service is good. Sitting at the bar is fun - the bartenders have great personalities and it’s fun watching the drinks be made. One thing I wasn’t prepared for was a time cap on reservations for a table. We were there for about an hour and a half before we were asked abruptly to move to “standing room” by the bar. It would be nice to have had been aware of that at the time we made the reservation, or even when we got there. Definitely a missed opportunity for the business. I will probably not make a reservation here in the future, but instead take my chances for a bar seat or go somewhere else.

I’ve come here a couple of times it’s nice. I know the server Calie and she’s great! Very attentive and hospitable! She definitely added to my experience.

The 3 star review is based solely on the location of where I was seated… cocktails, service, ambiance and food was great! Table was horribly placed right near the walk way to the bar.. I made the reservation two weeks in advance and was very disappointed with the table. We were surrounded by people waiting for drinks, people kept bumping into the table and it was just not worth it. If you make a reservation request a table away from the bar

I ordered the shwarma bomb. I would not recommend it. Very bland and dry. The meat was minced. I had two bites of a wagyu slider. It was pretty good. The restaurant was dark and the music had a good beat.

Cant comment on food didn't order any, service was slow and didn't seem to care. Atmosphere was great, Halloween decorations went all out.

This was probably my 10th time at Ebenezer and this time I was very disappointed. We arrived around 6:30 PM and it was very empty. We were told there was a $10 cover charge because they had a jazz band (they were good), we ordered the popcorn with truffle seasoning, which was also $10.00 and not large enough for a 5 year old at snack time. We requested a little more and the waitress said, "I don't think they will do that" but they did give us a couple handfuls. I had 1 glass of wine and my friend had two cocktails, our bill came to $97.00. Absolutely ridiculous. When we left the place was still empty. I think that was my last time going there.

The Ebenezer has a great vibe and a beautiful atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. That said, the drinks didn’t quite live up to the price point and flavors were underwhelming, and the cost just didn’t feel justified. It’s a nice spot to check out, but probably not somewhere I’d go regularly for cocktails.

B
B D

The service at this place is poor. We stood with two drinks with about 4 tables around us saying “reserved”. After finishing our drink, an waitress asks us if we want to sit down and order another drink. You’re kidding, right? Good service matters. Tried this place twice and it’s been the same both times. Will go elsewhere.

J
Jeniene Edwards

Made reservations for two on a Friday night. Ordered two drinks. Only received one. Took over 20 minutes to get the second one. Waitress was apologetic and offered free dessert. An hour and 15 min later we’re being told we need to leave because another party had our table. There were multiple open tables available, yet they were rushing us out. Would not go back. Also, the place smells like cigarettes.

K
Kiran R

The check for a group of four individuals included a 22% gratuity that was not disclosed prior to the service. While the service was satisfactory and the drinks were adequate, the inclusion of the gratuity without prior notification is unacceptable. We will not be returning to this establishment.
