Exceptional food quality and service, in an old fashioned post office converted to a very nice restaurant. I highly recommend this local gem. From Renee’s friendly greetings at the door to Anthony’s bar management and seasonal drink creations, I have never once been remotely disappointed here. I have even been pleasantly surprised the chef is occasionally interacting with guests in a personable way. Old school, in a fabulous way. Pictured is the French Dip sandwich. It is the best French Dip in local area in my opinion. Also be sure to try the catfish. Honestly their whole menu delivers. I have brought out of state guests and family here on multiple occasions and all have been super pleased and impressed, as I have. On a personal note the staff has always been accommodating of my disabilities and helped me feel welcome even on bad days.

Visited here after the Arkansas basketball game! Atmosphere is excellent! Food was delicious. Shrimp, NY Strip, and brownie skillet were all to die for! Mixed drinks are also on point! Would definitely visit again!

Super excited to try this place, it has a unique atmosphere considering it’s history. The menu had a wide variety of options, the burgers and salads were highly recommended! The food came out hot and fresh! Service was excellent! Definitely a great place to grab a bite with friends or family! Will be back soon!

The best part about Cheers is the historic ambiance! It is beautiful inside with fine architectural details. The patio is lovely with a water fountain and a fireplace. The menu is varied and they have some special items you can't get anywhere else like green tomatoes BLT. A wonderful dining experience!

This is a beautiful setting for a restaurant right in the middle of the Fayetteville downtown square. Lots of flowers outside and very southern inside. Our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. We were here for lunch and I am looking forward to trying their dinner menu on another occasion.

I met my granddaughter in law here this evening. I had the grilled Cajun Shrimp with a side of grits. It was so good. I loved the atmosphere and our waiter, Daniel was very attentive . Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

We stumbled on this place while exploring the square. What a great find! Friendly service, good atmosphere, and good food. My wife enjoyed the crab cakes and we both liked the artichoke hearts. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu.

I hadn’t been to the farmers market in years than I saw CHEERS. What a cool place inside the historic post office. The atmosphere is amazing and the food and service impeccable. Will definitely be going back often.

Cheers at the OPO is always a great place to eat. I had the shrimp and mushrooms. They were absolutely amazing. Some of the best mushrooms I have ever had. The chicken fried stake was tender moist and crunchy on the outside. On have never had hushpuppies before. They were sweet and good. I would highly recommend this place.

What a find! My wife and I were about to head home after visiting our son that weekend when we saw this place and, as an afterthought, decided to take lunch before hitting the road. The place is beautiful and spacious. I always like an open kitchen like they have. Our food was remarkably good and the service was perfect. The waitress was friendly but not too and attentive but likewise not intrusive. We had the fried green tomatoes topped with a fried shrimp. It doesn’t sound as good as it actually is because it was surprisingly flavorful. My wife had a deconstructed tuna salad and she couldn’t believe how much she was enjoying it. I had a cheeseburger and fries because that’s just what I was feeling, but 10 out of 10 on execution there. It was a Sunday lunch so no alcohol but there drinks did look tempting and they had a good selection of draft beers available. It’s designed to be a sports bar so there a TVs high on the walls and the games were hard to miss but, honestly, it wasn’t “in your face” about the sports bar part. We ate at Theo’s Rogers the night before for a fine dining experience and we we terribly let down. The food just wasn’t good. I would rather have eaten here for our fine dining in spite of the TVs because the food was just that good. They get an additional star from me for running their restaurant so well during a pandemic, a feat which I'm sure deserves at least one star.

We really enjoyed our time here. The atmosphere is refined, the music is appropriate and played to enhance your experience, not overpower it. Our service was quick and courteous and I really enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The honey butter they serve with the biscuit is delicious. Recommend!

Amazing restaurant for events. They have a spacious downstairs as well as a 15 seat round table with a spinning center piece for easy access to dishes. Chicken Cajun pasta was delicious.

My daughter and I went for dinner before a show at the WAC and we enjoyed it so much we recommended it for our family Easter lunch. Everyone enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to trying them for brunch!

Let’s go! Come! We came not knowing what to expect and it was PACKED on a Saturday afternoon. Didn’t know we had to make reservations, thankfully we were able to sit at the bar and had a wonderful time! Got water right away, staff is kind. Ordered our food and it came out fairly quickly. Food was of quality, decent portion, and honestly. I never get a chicken strip salad but oh my that was amazing lol. The chicken is fantastic!

The food was delicious and the vibe was really cool. Service was a little on the slow side, especially since we came during a quiet time, but not enough to knock off any stars.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Everything we tried was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the menu has a good variety of options. My favorite were the duck poppers. I don’t think they’re available all the time but when you can get them, definitely give them a try. The fried green tomatoes were great, too. I highly recommend this place for a date night or a girls night out.

Had a wonderful experience at the Old Post Office. The architecture is absolutely stunning. The menu has classic dishes with a modern flair. The Ceasar salad had a peppery bite, his steak was cooked to perfection, the shrimp was buttery. We will skip the carrot cake next time, it was a little on dry side for my taste. The banana pudding was the cherry on top of this wonderful meal, creamy and smelled like a banana Laffy Taffy, highly recommend.

This may be one of our new favorite spots. Everything we got was amazing!! Fried shrimp, crab cakes, French dip... it was all delicious! Can’t wait to come back and try their brunch. We love the fact that this place is located in the middle of the square. Great environment inside, beautiful walk around after.

Stopped in the mid-afternoon because of skipping lunch and getting a little hangry! Had a couple of appetizers that overcame the “hangry-ness!” Crab cakes were a little small and did not have much “lump” crab. But the fried artichoke was great! Our server was super efficient and friendly!

I love coming here. Not only can I soak in the architecture and history of the building but I feel like I've stepped into someplace special. The staff will treat you like you are one of a kind. They offer a limited but delicious menu with specialty drinks available. Celebrating something special? Let them know and they'll help make it better. Be prepared to spend money but it's worth it.

Service was prompt and courteous. Our server made sure we were attended to and made accommodations for drinks that weren't necessarily on the menu with the bartender. Food was amazing. Had the Catfish Entrée.

Mateo was the best waiter you could ask for. The service he provided was nothing short of perfection. I came in with a party of 9 on a Saturday, and he didn't miss a beat; everything was perfect. They made a mistake by not bringing shrimp I ordered in pasta, but they remedied it immediately, and they even apologized! I will definitely be back when I come back to Fayetteville!

This place is amazing!!! Service was great, we sat outside which was absolutely perfect, felt like a little tea party. The chopped salmon salad was great. I can’t remember what cocktail was ordered but it was enjoyed.

Dined for happy hour today on the patio and enjoyed every minute of it! $7 margaritas and the chopped salmon salad is my go to! Can’t beat the salad. I always leave with enough for lunch the next day!

The crab cakes ARE TO DIE FOR! I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. The staff was super friendly (even when I'm on crutches) and the food was delicious. I had the shrimp po' boy and my friend had the salmon cob salad (?) and the presentation was very impressive! Their French fries are delicious too!!

I’m visiting from out of town and really lucked out on this spot!! They had all the classics on the menu, but the quality was next level. Truly the best blackened grilled chicken I’ve had to date. And the mashed potatoes were so good. Friendly service and a nice ambience-lively but not too loud that we couldn’t have normal conversation

We had our wedding reception here in the basement bar for a group of 75 and everything was perfect. They made planning so stress free with seating layouts and different menu options. The food was delicious, all of our guests were raving about it especially the shrimp New Orleans pasta. The service was excellent and there was plenty of room for everyone. We wish we could re live the night with how great everything was! This will forever be one of our favorite places.

I RARELY give all 5's, but OH MY GOSH, the food was INCREDIBLE!!! We had a company Christmas Party downstairs. They served warm hors d'oeuvres & they were absolutely the best I've ever had!! The meal was crazy delicious!!! I can't wait to eat here again!! The servers were incredibly friendly (from the front door to the dining area) & very attentive. The atmosphere was so cool. And.... We went in December, so the Christmas lights on the square were a bonus!!

Excellent service and atmosphere; Healthy food options and a great place for gluten free eaters! Reasonable prices for such a nice meal. The flavors were just a bit lackluster. Maybe due to winter time the veggies weren't as fresh. Everything was very good and I would definitely go back.

We had a large group of mom's meet here for brunch today and it was lovely! The servers were attentive, the ambiance was nice and the food was good. Nice selection and variety on menu offerings with gluten free items clearly marked. I've attached photos of several of the dishes. I'll definitely be back on our next visit!

I got the shrimp and grits. It's about $17 a plate it's six small shrimp some sausage. It has a good flavor very seasoned and the collard greens are the most seasoned greens I've ever had. It's not my favorite shrimp but it's good. I'm pretty picky. It's hard to Out seasoning me on my food but these just about did it . But i'm so happy to see a place serving collard greens I'll probably get them every time I come in. Thinking they may have been accidentally salted twice but still good stuff. I'll be back!!!!!

Nice atmosphere. Food was yummy. The Asiago grits were the best thing we ate and it was a side for $3, so if you end up here for brunch, GET THEM. The Bloody Mary was average at best. The service was acceptable. We got the crab cake Benedict and it was very good but they forgot to serve it with bacon and I had to ask for the bacon. And then when we got the bill they charged us $1 for the bacon that was suppose to come with it. If it is convenient to come here for brunch it will do.

We will be back. Food was pretty good and service was great. It was incredibly hot though. It’s an older, beautiful, building, so I understand it may have some issues. Looked like they had a ductless system but was flashing an error. Aside from that, it was good overall.

Right in the center of the market square in in old downtown post office. I’ve been passing it multiple times without noticing it. Inside it is bigger than I expected and has a nice atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time there. The service was good and attentive and the food was good as well. Definitely will go back here.

Wait staff was very nice but overworked so service was slow. Goat cheese appetizer was the best dish we had, chicken sandwich was tough and French dip had minimal meat.

DINNER REVIEW This place gets a 4 vs. a 3 for the overall setting plus the carrot cake. I moved from Fayetteville around a year ago so this was my first time experiencing it and I had heard mixed reviews. Some who had gone on opening weekend said that the dinner took 3 hours (which I will cut them slack for on opening weekend) but others have raved about it. I wanted to have an opinion of my own. SETTING: This place is beautiful, inside and outside. It's in the old post office right in the middle of the Fayetteville square which already adds an old school, cool factor. The inside is huge and has several different rooms all covered in wood. I'm glad they kept a lot of what was likely the old post office aesthetic. FOOD: Overall, good, but some things were better than others. The menu is a little too big for my liking but it has some unique options so I could definitely come back and have a completely different meal. I had the Kobe burger with a side of Chipotle Mac N' Cheese. The burger was good but not the best I've ever had. It was a good size. The Chipotle Mac N' Cheese was very cheesy but I just wish it was a bit spicier. It just felt like normal Mac N' Cheese. The best thing I had was the carrot cake for dessert. I LOVE carrot cake and this was one of the better ones I've had. The icing was perfectly sweet and the cake was moist. SERVICE: Unfortunately, this was lacking. Our waitress asked some awkward questions like "OK so what time do you think I should come back and check on you?" and dropped/shattered a couple of empty plates. We had to hunt her down to give her our check too. This is partly due to the fact that we were in one of the side rooms and she was covering the main room but still. Overall, compared to what a place like this in Boston would cost, I think the prices are very reasonable so if I am ever back in Fayetteville, I will be back.

Nice place to spend a couple hours. We were a large group and had a big round table with a giant Lazy Susan that we were able to pass the appetizers and water on. We got a little loud during a game of pictionary and there were no complaints. The food was good, I had a French Dip sandwich. The bread was the perfect texture to soak up all of the Au Jus. The place is located at The Old Post Office so it is really interesting inside.

The restaurant location is extremely convenient and the building itself is gorgeous. I found myself looking around nonstop at the design inside. We were pretty excited to finally be eating here for the first time and walked away feeling so let down… The food came out fast and our waitress was nice. But our drinks weren’t refilled a single time during the entire meal and the food all tasted pretty poorly. Everything I put in my mouth tasted like it was frozen from a bag and then cooked. We spent close to $100 on our lunch and I don’t feel like we ate even close to the amount of that quality of food. I’m grateful I looked around the beautiful old post office as much as I did since I have no plans of being back. I can go to Walmart and buy frozen fried shrimp and French fries for $12 total and get the exact same taste I spent $100 on here. No thanks.

My salad was subpar not a huge flavor profile and the salmon tasted canned and not the good kind.... very disappointed Review might change if I get something else but do not get the chopped salmon salad and make it at home

I had the catfish, I saw another review on the catfish and I agree. the grease was too hot. Burnt hush puppies and crust on fish.

Meh. G&T usually comes w/ lime. Rare is not blood rare. Otherwise a nice enough place for what it is. Functional, not fancy.

First and last time at Cheers. I got sick 20 or so minutes after leaving. I had coffee hours earlier and nothing else in between my visit. I ordered the Crab cake Benedict because it’s my favorite dish at another restaurant. It was $16 and came out as shown in the pictures. It tasted off-putting and reminded me a little of cat food. No. I’ve never had cat food personally but that’s what I imagine it tastes like. My waitress took forever service us. We waited at least 20-25 mins for her to take our order but she had put in an appetizer. I even set the menus stacked on top at the end of the table as a sign. When the food finally came out (mine was not warm as it would be if it were just cooked). I was honest about how I felt about the food and the reply was “well, it is crab cake!” Now if it usually tastes the same in other restaurants then I think I’ll pass but again, at my favorite place it’s my favorite thing to order because of the delicious taste and texture. She offered to take it off and get me something else but look, she had already had been giving us very poor service. She was upset by what I said and I could tell. She offered to get me a salad and I said yes thank you. let’s just do that. I was telling myself not to eat anything that came out after I had been very honest about the food. I wasn’t mean about it because I don’t like to hurt feelings or get into conflicts. 🙄 anywho, I did eat the salad with the dressing she suggested and it was pretty good. She never refilled the water and we were super thirsty but I didn’t want to wait another 10 minutes. We got out of there. 20 or so minutes later the sickness hit me. So, I’m not directly blaming them for purposely getting me sick because I can’t really prove that. But that was all enough for me to not come back. She didn’t take it off but didn’t charge me for the salad, bless her. Give it a try if you like but it just wasn’t a good experience for me. I’m pretty upset about it. Freaking got sick. Photos: 1) Crab cake Benedict 2) Fried green tomatoes (which was very good but $12) 3) Chicken and waffles

Our waitress Hailey was horrible! The moment she walked up and took our drink order , she had an attitude. My 1st time here was looking forward to it, unfortunately she made my experience a bad one. Unfortunately my burger was undercooked, I asked for medium well it was cooked medium. She put the blame on the cooks , her exact words “ I don’t cook the burger” I only take the order. She was very condescending. Never offered an apology. My 2nd burger wasn’t much better, at that point I had waited 30 mi for a burger. My daughter ordered pasta. Hailey not once asked how her meal was never offered refills on our drinks, or picked up salad plate. The restaurant wasn’t that busy. But she never checked on our table!

Pro. Beers were $2 less than menu price. Tho didn't know this till getting the check. Cons. Pretty much everything else. Service at the bar at least is terrible. Even with 2 staff and 4 customers you still have to flag them down to get anything at all. Menu, first drink, 2nd, food etc. I've had better scallops for $10, $48 for small overcooked, too salty small scallops served barely warm with flavorless rice... Swapped to wine. After 5 min tonget a menu, 5 more tonget one with wine on it. 5 more to get someone's attention to order, to be told they were out of wine glasses. 5 to 10 more thebother server asked if I still wanted wine. Explained had already ordered. 5 more min and handed the house cab in a beer glass. It was OK. Ordered a 2nd as was talking with the guy next to me. Still in a beer glass.... The atmosphere was nice. Clients friendly. A good manager can maybe turn the place around but I'll probably not go back.

The service was pretty good! The Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo was terrible. It was very plain we got shrimp which is $7 extra and it was cheap frozen shrimp that had a weird freezer burnt taste. I spent $36 plus tip. Don’t recommend getting the Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo.
