⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Laundry The Laundry was an unexpected and delightful treat for a holiday lunch. It came highly recommended for its diverse menu and gluten‑free options, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. Our waitress was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful when we had questions about different menu items. I ordered the #62 Piggy Bank, which features slow‑cooked pulled pork, a unique rum raisin BBQ sauce, coleslaw, cheddar cheese, and a house‑made pickle slice on an onion roll. The sandwich was packed with meat and had just the right amount of sauce. The flavor was outstanding—like something straight from a pitmaster’s BBQ joint. It came with a dill pickle and salt‑and‑vinegar kettle chips, which paired perfectly. For dessert, I tried the holiday eggnog sweet bread, and it was an incredible seasonal treat. I also enjoyed the eggnog espresso, which was warm, comforting, and full of holiday flavor. Everyone at our table ordered something different, and the entire group went quiet while eating—a sure sign that the food was excellent. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. A wonderful experience all around!

This was a great experience. I can’t wait to go back! The food was fantastic, drinks were good, and not a single complaint about the service. All the food is made to order and locally sourced ingredients. You can tell! This makes all the difference in the food. Starter: Artie Dip: this was better than I expected. This is the first time I’ve had Gorgonzola cheese and Brie and actually enjoyed it. The French baguettes it’s served with are also great. Would recommend. Main: Iberian Pork: 5/5 glazed carrots, slickly smooth potatoes and perfectly cooked pork. There is nothing wrong with this dish at all. Wild Mushroom Carbonara with Blackened Chicken: 4/5 this was a good meal. The flavors of the carbonara were spot on. And the blacked chicken was cooked beyond perfectly. I only wish the fresh pasta was made thinner. This made the texture not what I wanted it to be. But it was a really good dish. Dessert: cake of the day: Chocolate cake with cinnamon vanilla ice cream. 4/5 This was a well made cake and the ice cream was good. It had alot of cinnamon. It gave me chewing Big Red gum vibes. Drinks: Baklava Cold Brew: 5/5 boyfriend and I loved this. We wish we lived closer to get it more often. Ode to India Chai: 4/5 very good chai. Peach Princess: 3/5 it was tasty. I think next time I will ask for more ginger ale in it.

This is a gem. It started off a little loud then either we acclimated or the vibe chilled out a bit. Our server Madeline was quirky, genuine and the perfect amount of present. For a small Michigan town, this place has great personality and vibes. Eclectic seating, quality cocktails and very good food. We loved the Gorg dip so much we took it home! The crispy rice could have been a mela itself! And the chili burger (huge, tasty & filling) & Dorade filled w/ risotto (perfect portion, light & flavorful) were great choices. Thank you for the surprise delight on our roadtrip!

Erica was phenomenal!!! The Grits and Greens were one of the best dishes I’ve had all year! And the Eggnog Latte was the perfect holiday drink. 1000/10

The wild mushroom carbonara is one of my favorite things to eat - anywhere! Also an excellent Caesar salad! Service and atmosphere top notch, as always! Hoping to do a September bridal shower in the event room!

The food was all delicious and freshly made. I got #51 and it was really good. The coffee also was really good the specialty ones weren't to sweet and lots of flavor would definitely recommend them.

1st time consumer. I’m already planning my next visit. The menu has something for everyone. The kids mac and cheese felt like it was missing something, but still yum. Cold brew was delicious. Our server was seriously the best out there. A truly genuine, calm, and knowledgeable person.

If you’re looking for truly great food — and by great, I mean you can tell there’s a real chef in the kitchen — this is the place. The menu is creative and everything I’ve tried has been outstanding. A big bonus is that they offer gluten-free options for most items, and they don’t compromise on flavor or quality. The gluten-free bread, in particular, is amazing — I haven’t found anything like it anywhere else. Highly recommend!

What a great place! We should have come sooner. We went for brunch and had the bananas foster pancakes and avacado toast. Everything was delicious! They even have a "side door" with all sorts of cakes and desserts for takeout. The employees are super nice. I will certainly be back!

Definitely one of the best Rueben’s I’ve ever had. Love the horseradish sauce they used on this sandwich. 5 stars.

First time eating here and it was all around a perfect experience. (Hopefully I spell names correctly) Jonah was our server and he was by far the best server I have ever had. I come from the serving industry so I know a thing or two. Another server named Makenna was also amazing. She overheard me asking some questions about different dishes and made a great suggestion, along with following up and noticing the drinks we ordered, even though we were not her table- making the experience much more personable. The food and cocktails were also great. The workers are very focused on making this a great dining experience and it shows. Highly recommended for anyone.

Bets gluten free bread I've ever had! Honestly food is pretty good but if you are gluten free. . . .dont waste your time in other places, just come to this spot!

The only reason I'm not giving a perfect rating is the price and excessive serving sizes in some food. The atmosphere is great, the food delicious, the wait staff attentive, but I don't need a platter of spaghetti for $20... How about smaller serving size for a more palatable price.

Brought my fiance here for father's day brunch, he had the special it was a chiriso skillet and it was very flavorful, I got the avocado toast, it was good but the toast was hard and maybe to much vinegar. We took advantage of their variety of cocktails and they were all delicious! Our bartender was Megan and she was fabulous! The environment was packed and maybe a bit to loud for our liking.

I absolutely love this place! It's such a gem in the area. The whole experience is enjoyable. The service is some of the best I've had, the food and cocktails are fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxing. We stopped here on the way to an event, so we ate pretty light. Everything was amazing. We each othered a cocktail, and we split the sushi on crispy rice appetizer and pork belly rice bowl. Unbelievably good. We sat on the patio, which was really nice. The area was clean and quiet. Hands down, this is the best restaurant in the area. Treat yourself if you're ever in the area or you feel like making a fun road trip. I'm already making plans to go back.

This place was outstanding! Our server, Kam, was exceptional! The selection of beer, bourbon, and cocktails was amazing! The food we ordered was tasty, but be warned, the portions were plentiful!!! We were in town just briefly, but so happy we found this gem of an eatery! 100% highly recommend!

As vegans, we travel and hunt for awesome dishes on our route and luckily came across The Laundry. We ordered the vegan shepherds pie with low expectations, but we ended up being wow'd! I have no idea when we'll cross paths again, but you have become a must visit going forward. Now get your bakery in gear and make some vegan pastries. It's so easy to tweak a few recipes and you're off and running. It was disappointing to see all those beautiful desserts and none were vegan.

Fantastic place to eat. The portions were huge, food was tasty, and service was incredible. The atmosphere was casual, but also nice and welcoming.

Hosted a baby shower and had a wonderful experience! The staff was attentive, flexible, and professional. The food was fantastic and there were generous portions! I highly recommend The Laundry for any special event!

Stopped by The Laundry on a quick trip to Fenton. The service was great and the food was delicious. We had the Pork Shoulder Hash (it's spicy) and the Pumpkin Roll Pancakes (really yummy!). It's a cute little place. I'll be back.

We celebrated a Baby Shower and it was for Brunch. This awesome restaurant really delivered and exceeded expectations! From the foods to service staff ‘Sandy’ and also the place has a very nice homey feel to it. The piped in music are so pleasant that it doesn’t interfere with the conversation, this is also very spacious and very clean!. Free Parking is just around the corner close to the Police Station. They also have a little brewery, a bakery and the place is situated right downtown with so many lovely stores that surrounds The Laundry. The best Room in town!

We had the best lunch there today! Then we ended up buying yummies and sweets to bring home. We were so full we didn't order dessert. Lol It was a great lunch on a very trying day.

GET THE SANDWICHES. Ahem. A really nice lunch / Brunch joint in downtown Fenton. I've been hearing about The Laundry for a few years, and finally decided to come for lunch. So glad we did. Front the hostess to the house staff to our waitress. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu only has a few 'sections' but each section has a great variety. We each ordered a sandwich and all of them were phenomenal, some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The drink selection was great as well. It's super nice inside and they have a nice bar. Highly Highly recommended.

Loved the vibe and food it was so delicious. I got the Banana pancakes I will definitely be making the drive to go here again!

Fun space, staff is great, very kind and helpful. Enjoyed a jolly pumpkin beer on tap. Food was good but enjoyed some more than others. The sticky Asian cauliflower bites app was so so good. Great flavor, really delicious - highly recommend. As my “main” I got the harvest crudo and a petit michigan salad. Much bigger portions than I expected so I only ate one of the dishes and took the other one home. But the crudo was disappointing. It sounded really good, loved all the things in it but it was heavily sauced and dressed so it just ate kind of dense and mushy and wet. It has potential to be a great dish just needs some tweaking. The other person with me got the Caesar salad with salmon which was also a good size, the salmon was really good as was the dressing, the croutons were a little hard though. Overall we enjoyed, it felt like it took a while for the food to come out (it was 4:30 on a Monday) but we enjoyed our experience and will be back, just some hit or miss options on the menu sometimes.

I took my boys here for lunch and it was very yummy. When we walked in, the entire place had fun lit up areas where the colored glass reflected on the walls. It was very cutely decorated, with vintage chairs and tables. Our server was super nice, and was able to answer all of our questions. We ordered the savory French toast for an appetizer, which has Muenster and bacon in the middle and comes with syrup and this interesting spicy sauce. Very good. I also got the club sandwich, with chips and a house made pickle. The pickle had a great flavor, and I wish I had more. Huge sandwich! The honey mustard it came with was very yummy, and had a kick to it. My boys got the chocolate chip pancakes and mini waffles. The pancakes were huge! And they loved them. They also ordered cherry lemonade and thought that was a fun addition to their meals. It was pretty pricy though, costing over $100 for 3 kids meals, my meal, 4 non-alcoholic beverages and an appetizer + tip. Expect a hefty check.

Service was great and so was the food. There are a lot of things that I would like to go back and try. I had the Otis toast. We also had pull apart bread with cream cheese frosting. The sandwiches were huge and looked so good also.

Came here for the first time after a funeral with my wife and son and daughter. Place was packed at 2:20pm on a Monday 10.21.24. Food was outstanding and our waitress Brynn was wonderful. We will be back. Love this place.

Overall a really good experience. The food was really good. It was pretty busy and therefore pretty loud. The Banana Foster Pancakes were really good and you could really tell the apple wood smoked bacon was smoked, lots of flavor!

Note: Highly recommend joining the online waiting list to shorten any up front wait. Overall, a wonderful place for brunch. All forms of coffee and other drinks on the menu make this a good place to visit for coffee. It's the kind of place where you can rest assured there's no bad item on the menu. Overall, the service was good. The food took some time (about 30 minutes), which wasn't bad for a full restaurant. Our server was wonderful, responsive, prompt, and kept our water glasses full (thank you, Nicolette!). The atmosphere is open and cozy, with sufficient space between tables to not worry too much about overhearing your neighbors. Finally, they're more environmentally friendly than most, using compostable kids cups, straws, locally grown produce and herbs (seasonal), and heavy use of compost from food scraps (Thank you!).

The laundry is a unique little place to stop by for a specialty cocktail designed by the bartenders/waitstaff themselves or out of the ordinary breakfast selections.. we've had breakfast, appetizers and dinners there and loved everything we've eaten. The only downside we have ever encountered is either the wait was long or too long to stay. But this is just a testament to how popular this place is.

A big thank you to the laundry for being so accommodating to my food allergies. Worked with me to find a dish that I could enjoy. Resiling was delicious and they even stock vegan dessert options!

We were there this week for an offsite team meeting and had a wonderful time! The atmosphere and food was amazing. The diverse menu was so well received from the staff. James our waiter was professional, warm and knew his trade perfectly! We hope to visit again soon.

We had a party of eight and three of our party had steak, they were all cooked perfectly as we ordered. Everyone else enjoyed the meal also. The bar drinks were all tasty and made well. French press java was great. Desert was superb. Finally, service was outstanding.

Nephew took me there when I was visiting him. Great selections on the menu, along with daily specials. Food was great, as was the service. Can't wait to be back in the area to go again.

Wow! We were headed to another establishment for dinner and had “joined their waitlist “ on line. Arrived at the other place to be told that their on line waitlist doesn’t work. We left and went to The Laundry. Best choice ever !!!! Three of the four of us were first timers. No wait , EXCELLENT food and service by Deven. We are so thankful that The Tavern’s online waitlist doesn’t work.

I never write Google reviews, but I wanted to give this spot 5 stars. My boyfriend and I just ate dinner here on Valentine’s Day and it was so enjoyable. What stood out the most was the excellent service. We walked in without a reservation and were seated in an under an hour (for reference, other spots in the area had 3+ hour wait times of were completely booked up!) The service was excellent! Despite being very busy, staff members were still attentive and kind. Our waiter was awesome as well. The food was delicious. Entrées were high-quality and well-portioned; the dessert was the highlight of our meal. Our experience was so lovely here and we will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

If you want to take your taste buds on a gastronomical adventure, you’ve found the right place! Fresh squeezed orange juice and French pressed coffee was the perfect way to start our Valentine’s Day brunch. We began with the breakfast sliders, holy moly it was love at first bite! I ordered the vegan za’ and my husband got the skillet with extra poached eggs. These were both delicious, and there was so much that we took leftovers home, however our favorite item was still the sliders. We hoped we had saved room for dessert but we were stuffed! Our goal next time is to split the sliders and each get dessert. I also learned that the vegan dessert option is provided by Jaqc & Diane’s vegan eatery in Holly, MI, the dessert is exclusively made for The Laundry.

My husband and I have eaten at the laundry around 5 or 6 times and all but one have been great experiences. Our last visit we both ordered the bbq boar ribs and unfortunately we both did not enjoy it. BUT everything else was delicious and everything we've ordered before this have been very good. We will definitely be back and would 100% recommend. The staff are always so friendly and the vibe of the restaurant is very nice. Wait time isnt usually to long and the price seems fair for what your getting. I definitely would recommend the steak and eggs if ur there earlier in the day 😋

I love the laundry! They have great food, excellent service, and you can bring anyone here. It is a great spot for date night, drinks with the girls, family brunch, birthday dinner, work lunch, etc. You can’t go wrong. We were there on Thursday and I had the salmon, which is new on the menu and delicious, and my partner had the brick chicken, a staple that is so good.

The food was delicious! I was salivating just reading the menu! I was able to enjoy a fantastic sandwich on gluten-free bread. I am in a wheelchair and it was busy so we asked to be seated ob the coffee shop side so it was a very comfortable experience. We could still see into the main restaurant, and our server was on top of things. They even had two gluten-free dessert options! My sandwich was big and my sister-in-law's "petite" salad was huge!! The gardens outside were beautiful! It was wonderful! I can't wait to go back and try something else!

Nice casual place for dinner. Bountiful harvest salad was very good but was dominated by the red onion pieces in it. Kale soup was good but could have been served warmer. Whitefish rueben was good, but was really just a fish sandwich with a nice size portion of the filet. The pickled onions on this were a great match. Peanut butter tart was a nice dessert and not overly sweet. Nutty professor coffee complimented it well. Decent selection of draft beer and wine, although the wine pour seemed a bit short. Service was steady but slow through all aspects of the visit. It appeared they may have been shorthanded. Overall the food quality was the star here and we will return. Would like to try the brunch menu.

I fell in love the moment we walked in. The decor is quirky and colorful with a 50’s vibe- 50’s tables and chairs in an eclectic mix. There are colorful windows when you look up as well as multi-colored banners over the bar describing various drinks. The menu has some unique fare from Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf to cauliflower curry. It was the perfect, fun place to go for my birthday. I had the meatloaf and my husband had the salad with Skirt Steak. Both were delicious. They accommodated my dairy allergy by swapping Fingerling Potatoes for the mashed potatoes. The only slight downside was the long wait for our food. After all they were busy on a Sunday. It was worth the wait. Another odd thing: 2 -1 seater toilets, one of which is sandwiched right next to the kitchen which causes traffic jams and I imagine a few mishaps at times when a server comes out at the same time a patron leaves the bathroom. Overall an awesome experience. We’ll be back!

Lovely place didn't disappoint. Service was great on Valentine's day. Cocktails were well made. Food portions were plenty and flavors were very tasty, creative menu options. Compliments to the chef. A few suggestions would be for meatloaf to be ground less fine, it was more like a sausage. Berkshire pork was delicious but slightly overcooked and somewhat dry, wouldve been better cooked medium. Also apps looked great but not many non dairy options. Management was able to work out misinformation given for Valentine's day reservations. Appreciate their quick response to rectify. Recommended all staff have correct information about reservations when calling in advance.

This restaurant has the best french onion soup that I have ever had...and I've been eating different french onion soups for 36 years. The staff was polite and I kept eyeing my friend's corned beef and Reuben sandwich. It looked so good! Actually, I was eyeing platters at tables all around me. Everything looked appetizing. I will definitely be back. It was worth the drive.

J
Jeff Gauthier

Expensive for my taste but we are a retired cpl. On the whole the atmosphere is definitely upscale. The service I felt was a little slow but our waitress was very personable attentive. The soup was meh, drinks costly. We split a simple Ruben sandwich that was light on sauerkraut with slightly stale crust on way too thick bread that I'm not sure was rye, served with a bag of chips. Take my review with a grain of salt as my wife says I'm in danger of becoming a grumpy old man but I wish a $100 lunch (includes tip) for two splitting a sandwich and a cup of soup would have impressed me more. I will admit that my wife, bless her heart, had 2 bougie drinks at $20 a pop which added significantly to the bill 😆

Awesome last year (2024). Excellent food. Excellent service. Many of the old fixtures still said French Laundry. The original French Laundry does not accept customers whose name doesn't end in Newsom, during Covid.... masks not required. The Michigan French Laundry accepted 6 adults, 3 children when I walked in to request a table one morning. I was truly grateful, breakfast was beyond excellent. Well, that was last year, this year I felt the "French Laundry" was not worthy of it's name. Great service again... but the quality of food... very disappointing. Not sure what happened between 2024 and 2025, but we won't be going to the French Laundry, or just French or just Laundry, or whatever it's called again. So disappointed, an absolutely excellent restaurant has gone from beyond excellent to Denny's quality in one year.

Would like to start out by saying the handful of times I’ve been here before today were all great but it seems like everyone working there today was off. I had the potato and truffle soup as well as the breakfast sliders and while the sliders were great they were also lukewarm when they hit the table. The soup was salty and not the texture I was looking for. My two friends both had the pork hash and it was wayyyyy too salty. Maybe we just had the select few dishes that were too salty for us but the service was also quite poor. Our server ignored one of my friends while we were putting drinks in and just wasn’t super personable. Hoping that next time I come back I can change this to 5 stars :(
