They even have garden burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, puppy patties, onion rings, homemade shakes and children's menu items. Want something spicy to warm you up? Try the Jalapeno burger. Add bleu cheese and bacon, if you like. In a hurry? Order ahead.

First time I was there in year because I was dieting. Lost 85 pounds and when I went in they were so nice and made me a no-carb burger in a boat that was better than I could have imagined. This remains the best burger in Humboldt, by far.

I live in Ferndale, so have been to No Brand many times. It's the best hamburgers ever to me! I recently took my grandkids for the first time. They love In and Out, but after having No Brand they agree It's better than No Brand!! Hands down THE BEST!!!

Another long time staple in Humboldt county. No brand burger stand has an almost mythical reputation. I won't say that reputation is unjustified but maybe a little inflated. That said the food is good and I have never been disappointed with a trip there.

Uh, honestly a surprisingly good burger. That's not meant to be a backhanded compliment. Most burgers are just ok. This one was noticeably good. I got the bacon cheeseburger. I can never say no to a place that has crinkle cut fries.

My husband was working in Arcata for 3 months and we heard about No Brand from the locals. We drove to Ferndale once a week to get a double bacon jalapeno cheeseburger and garlic fries. This is the burger I will compare all burgers to from now on! So delicious!

Onion rings are to die for! like really the best ive ever had as far as i can remember.. lots of great special burgers for everyone.. meat was fresh and flavorful..! nothing fancy here, just awesome, wholesome food. tiny joint w a few stools at a bar to eat so plan on eating at the outdoor tables or take out. we just moved to Ferndale and diffidently plan on hitting up this place often. We have heard great things about this place. Was visiting from Redding so thought we would try them. Not into grassfed beef so was skeptical but it really was GOOD. Blue bacon burger was the bomb. Friend got the cajun one. He enjoyed it to. If you are in Ferndale area try them. Only downfall was the closing time of 4pm

No Brand was hands down the best burger I ever tasted. I have been all over with the military and tried many burger places, but this one stuck out more than all the rest. Very small in size but enormous in customer service and quality taste.

Never judge a book by it's cover! She may look rough but, this is definitely a hidden gem. The burgers and fries were amazingly delicious. And the owners are awesome. If you're ever in the area, stop in and grab you a real beef burger.

So there we were, in the middle of The Boondocks, and stumbled across this small shack not much bigger than the size of a minivan. Every single one in my family of six thought this was one of the best burgers they've ever had. I don't know if it was because they were cooked with love, we're grass-fed beef, or they just had good quality, but it was a phenomenal Burger and good fries. We will be willing to drive at least an hour out of the way any time in the future to stop here.

We stopped by yesterday and had a couple of fantastic burgers! You can truly tell that the ingredients are local and prepared by burger lovers themselves. I had the jalapeno cheese burger and my wife had the blue cheese burger. We kept trading back and forth because they were both just that good. Topped it off with a couple of malts (not milk shakes) that were equally as good. To top it off, the owner was a legitimately good guy.

GREAT TASTING BURGER! I got the bacon hamburger and it was delicious! This place in Ferndale is SO worth the little detour off 101 and a requirement if your plan was to "let's get food in Eureka." No way! Skip Eureka and you won't be disappointed. LOVED. LOVED. LOVED IT! A word of caution: the indoor seating is virtually zero. No joke. Like four bar stools that I am pretty sure were just intended to be something to sit on while you wait for your order. They do have some picnic tables outside near a funky drive through area (about five trucks drove through in the 30 minutes we were eating, but the drivers were super careful about any kids playing about). If it is raining or the bench seats are still wet then this could be a much less pleasurable dining experience but the food would still taste incredible. Do it, you won't be sorry. The food is very, very reasonably priced too. I might even say cheap but that might give you the wrong impression. The food is well-priced, how about that? The service was good too. The girl working the counter (on Sunday) was probably about 12 but she handled things like a pro. Took our orders, answered questions and even delivered my milkshake just when they were closing up for the day.

No brand burger is a tiny burger shack in beautiful Ferndale. It's easy to miss as it is literally a shack attached to the side of a building. Don't let the small size fool you, however, because this place packs a flavorful punch. The fries are crinkle fries and have 3 different options. Garlic, Cajun, and salt. They offer the traditional burger options you would expect. The burgers are good size with great flavor. Would highly recommend.

This is a great little spot. We stopped by for a quick bite on our way back from the beach with our dogs. Unless you're looking for it, or really just looking around while you drive through, you might not notice them, but I highly recommend anyone to stop in and get a burger and fries. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I think I've ever had. I cant visit very often, only a few times a year, but his place has made my list for where to go when I am in the area.

Can I just say, oh my god! Hands down the best burger in Humboldt. Been meaning to stop by this little diamond in the rough burger nook for years and now that I have there's no going back. I can't remember the last time I had a burger that was so delicious. I got a standard cheeseburger. The patty was quality and cooked to bring out its natural flavor rather than covered up by seasoning, just delightful. Messy in just the right way a good burger should be and paired with a side of the speciality mango habanero sauce and chunky onion rings. I practically had to be rolled back to the car. No regrets. 100% will go back. Highly recommend. (Also owner and staff were incredibly friendly, gracious and accommodating)

First time ordering over the weekend, Soo good. I got the Blue burger which is amazing!! I love blue cheese but have never had it on a burger! 10/10 for sure. Didn't get any pics bcuz we ate so fast. My kids got hotdogs which they said were the best flavor. My daughter got the onion rings and they were soo crispy and full of flavor!! All in all A great meal!!

You eat outside and it is amazing food. I love the atmosphere. It gives it a nice homey feeling like a picnic out in the yard.

I had the mango habanero cheese burger and it was simply amazing. The bacon tasted like real bacon and the beef patty was far above better than any regular fast food burger. This is how burgers should taste.

Hands down one of the best burgers there is. Local raised grassfed beef patty on a no nonsense burger bun with straight shooter toppings, because you don't need gimics when it is this good. Ameneties are sparse, seating is outdoors and limited and no bathroom. Solid shakes and fries (I suggest the Garlic).

i like this place and have had positive expereicnes but im writing this review on behalf of my adult son who tried this place last Thursday on my recommendation and had a ruined experience bc of the service. He ordered a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce only and heard the staff (a man and a women) referring to him and his order, laughing and pointing at him, making fun. And they over charged him. I'm not sure if they thot he couldn't hear them or they just didn't realize, but how tacky! He almost walked off without his food. very sad and shame on you!!! I know he will never go back and im considering withdrawing my business as well.

So, the Burger and the fries were good. But, the second bite I took off my burger had a hair in it :( I'd give it four stars if I hadn't found the hair. I also don't understand why there aren't any kids baskets AND you have to buy your fries separately. I found it to be more expensive than necessary. Still a yummy burger though!

The food is all right, although certainly not the best burger I have ever had. The reason for the one star review is the terrible service. The guy that helped us (the owner) was basically a rude jerk when taking our order and didn’t seem to really care about decent customer service. You know how sometimes you go in a store or restaurant and the person helping you makes you feel like it’s an inconvenience that you are there… It was like that. We then waited about 35 minutes for our names to be called. I finally went to check on the order and he said “Oh it’s been ready it’s right here”. It had obviously been sitting out for at least 10 minutes, as the fries were cold. He did not apologize for not calling out our order (although his wife did), and she even asked him why he had not called out our order (he didn’t respond). I asked how long it had been waiting there, again he basically just ignored me and gave no response. Lastly, our order wasn’t even right! We got (cold) regular fries instead of garlic fries. This may be a local favorite, but our experience was not a good one, and a slightly above average burger and very ordinary fries is not a sufficient reason for us to ever return.

Stopped by today and it was packed waited over an half an hour for our food they served everyone that showed up after us and when we got our food we were missing 1 burger the hamburgers were all raw very disappointed

Extremely unprofessional to accidentally answer phone calls to where a customer repeatedly is saying hello and hearing you in the background talking to other customers because you really meant to hang up the phone. I understand being busy but you let the phone ring and then disconnect so they know ur busy and not actually be completely ignored! Ridiculous!

Overpriced, complete Rip Off!! burnt onion rings , 21$ burgers are a joke when they are greasy and fall apart, 6 onion rings for 8$ is also a joke. This place has gone down hill and raised their prices like they are a restaurant. If the food was good I wouldn’t be so upset but this was a complete waste of my money and I won’t be returning do yourself a favor and go to DJs Burger Bar in Rio Dell.

When you walk into this unassuming little shack, you smell this wonderful intoxicating aroma of fried beef. You see the cute little ordering area with the handwritten menu board and you think you're about to have one of the best burgers of your life. So, you are fine with the comically high prices. A great burger is worth it. Unfortunately, this experience turned out to be a complete disaster. The Cheeseburger - The bun was completely smashed. When you grill a bun, it steams so you have to let it sit for a few to regain structure. The meat, ugh, had zero flavor. I tried just the meat several times and it was like a flavor void. It was a big, juicy patty, otherwise. But for $13($2 added for American cheese?!!) Why not throw some salt and pepper on it at least? The beef had zero mineral beefy flavor, like it was old or frozen for a long time. They need an actual cook here that cares. The BLT - Charged $10 for a $2 sandwich. It had probably 2 full slices of bacon, on some toasted sourdough rounds, with some very fast food level lettuce and tomato. The bacon was far from fresh as it was crumbly and very dark from being par cooked and reheated a time or two and tasted like old grease. Yuck. I tried the bacon by itself and there was NO yummy bacon flavor because it had just been rendered to the point of no return. We didn't finish it. Get a cook here that cares. The Frings - a mix of frozen onion rings and krinkles cut fries...they were fine....but left me wondering why in the world did they cost $8??? We will never be back and we express our sympathy to others who have wasted their money here. This food was disrespectful when considering the quality promised and exorbitant pricing.

Stay local?? To get ripped off? Wow! Absolutely blown away. I understand price changes, but $57 for two burgers and two onion rings??? Did I accidentally end up in Paris? This is insanity and the very last time I will ever spend a dime at this place. The bag is so greasy, we literally have to have a kid hold it so it doesn't get the grease all over our car. This is really too bad.

This is one of those local places that they only want locals to visit if you don’t speak some coded language you can’t order. Make sure you DO NOT ask a question the girl taking the order. Will just walk away. I won’t ever make the mistake of returning

Fries were luke warm, shakes were part way melted and sub par taste wise, one of the burgers was part way smushed so the bun was all messed up, and the burgers were kind of bland like they didn't season them. I've been coming here for years, and love supporting local businesses especially when they have good food which in past experiences over the years No Brand has always been great. It seems like the prices have gone way too high, and the food quality has went down. If I'm paying $80 for burgers, fries and shakes there shouldn't be one thing I'm not satisfied with and that wasn't the case today. Like a year ago you could come here and get a Big Hoss meal which was a double patty bacon Cajun cheeseburger, a garlic fry, and a shake of your choice for $22 then the next time I came there it was $30, and now they don't even have that deal on the menu, so you have to buy everything separate because they have no combos or meals with burgers, fries and a drink at No Brand. Ferndale is a small town and Humboldt isn't very big to begin with so it's really frustrating that a local business like this is screwing their loyal local customers. You can't charge big city prices here for sub par food with a "country"/blue collar trailer atmosphere that has 50 flies inside.
