No Brand Burger Stand Ferndale Reviews
Their partties are made out of some of the best beef I've ever had. So obviously fresh. The owners and staff are down to earth, friendly and a joy to be around. I'll eat here again
Good chow. Great little burger stand on the front (North) end of Ferndale but look sharp or you'll easily miss it. Burgers of course but the hotdog, BLT and milkshake are also first rate. Onion rings are fresh, not frozen and they're packed into a large serving bag ($4.50) or you can get a mixed bag of rings & fries, which, while frozen, are nicely done. Sodas come in the can, no ice. (When you see how small this place is, you'll understand why they don't have ice.) Waiting time: Normal. Value: Decent. Handicap access: They'll come outside to take your order. Park on the street or pull in; crossing the street may take patience or it could be a breeze, changing from minute to minute.
Fabulous Cajun burger of local grass-fed beef, perfectly cooked with crispy edges and pink middle. Nicely seasoned, good toppings. Too bad they were out of onion rings and fries! They have a restroom here- ask them. Well worth the slight detour off Highway 101.
I've had a lot of burgers in my time but these are by the far some the best I've had. Small place great taste no long lines or waiting, I recommend this place 6 stars definitely coming back here again.
The place has great burgers! If you don't like sweet relish make sure to ask for it off since all the burgers come with it. Burgers can be a little messy but they have so much flavor. I normally get the cajun bacon cheese burger. My grandma loves their milk shakes. Service is great, a couple tables outdoors, no indoor sitting but I see a lot of people picking up to go orders. I wish it wasn't so far.
great burgers from a hidden shack - juicy, saucy and fresh. got the jalapeno and Cajun cheeseburgers. jalapeno was better with the flavor pop with the spice complementing the fresh lettuce and onion well. Cajun burger was sopping wet before I was half way into it haha. street parking and parking lot available. outside tables only.
The place is easy to miss. We drove right by it, even with directions. But, that only enhances the quaintness of this little burger stand. Dine-in is really just a picnic table, but it makes perfect sense for the No Brand Burger Stand. I ordered the jalapeño bbq burger. It was fantastic. My daughters ordered plain cheeseburgers and really enjoyed them. As soon as we walked into the burger stand, we were greeted warmly and with enthusiasm. Such kindness you only really get in a small town these days. We deliberately went off the main highway to have lunch here. We were not disappointed. You won't be either.
A really great stop! Burger was great, cooked well with fresh toppings. Staff was friendly and quick, can’t complain!! Right off to the side of the road if you’re passing through Ferndale.
One of the best tasting home made burgers in the USA. The only better one I’ve had is the Ghetto burger at late Ms. Anne Price’s (Ann’s snack bar) in Atlanta. The burger patty was fresh and cooked to perfection, which just melts in your mouth. I had the Jalapeno Cajun Cheeseburger and would recommend it highly. This is such a big difference from the horrible Jalapeño burger I had at Yak’s in Mt. Shastha. Additionally, the price was very reasonable and great value for money
This is one of the best burgers I have ever had! If you go you have to order the “Big Hoss” and talk with the owner. She is awesome. The onion rings and milkshakes were amazing. I cannot say enough about this place. I wish I could give 10 stars!

Love this place I'm from Ohio and saw this place on the maps and the service, the setting, the people, and the food are all so amazing and it's such an incredible experience and place couldn't have been to a better Burger joint. I had the Cajun jalapeño bacon cheese burger and it was fantastic. For the price it's so worth a try and the story behind this place is super nice the owner is super nice love it and her story
This is a great little spot. We stopped by for a quick bite on our way back from the beach with our dogs. Unless you're looking for it, or really just looking around while you drive through, you might not notice them, but I highly recommend anyone to stop in and get a burger and fries. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I think I've ever had. I cant visit very often, only a few times a year, but his place has made my list for where to go when I am in the area.
You eat outside and it is amazing food. I love the atmosphere. It gives it a nice homey feeling like a picnic out in the yard.
I had the mango habanero cheese burger and it was simply amazing. The bacon tasted like real bacon and the beef patty was far above better than any regular fast food burger. This is how burgers should taste.
I had the Blu bacon burger. The Bleu cheese was very good. We also had onion rings. They were good, but I thought the panko breading was a bit too thick and overpowered the onion. Very small location with a good amount of outdoor seating
Stopped here for lunch on our road trip. The tiny shack you order food in is so unique. Love the chalkboard menu full of options. The burger and burger salad were fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The fries could use more seasoning and the garlic fries I thought I ordered were plain fries. Sitting at picnic benches worked well with the perfect weather.
Found this place, driving & it was packed.Haven't had a burger that good in a while! Simple yet incredibly tasty. Grass fed beef always a major plus. Service quick & friendly. Seating outdoor only. No restroom. Cash or card. Not accessible due to step out front but bet if ya holler they'll take care of ya! Staff wear masks, offer sanatizer but patrons might not wear mask or keep 6ft. 11-4pm

Split a Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries with my girlfriend. The portion of french fries was very generous. Crispy outside fluffy inside. At least at first. The bag was so big by the time we got to the bottom of the bag 15 minutes later the fries were getting mushy. Eat the fries fast! Lol. The burger was cooked well. Almost no pink. Flavor of the beef was very good and the bacon thick and crispy. A very good burger! My girlfriend even mentioned she liked the bun. I will stop here again next time I'm in Ferndale. I didn't try the onion rings but heard they are great.
Went here expecting a lot more than what we got. Fries looked like store bought frozen food. Could taste everything except for the patty. Two burgers and fries and two cans of coke on a beat-up picnic table were like 45 bucks??? Hoping to go back and see if the experience is any better and I'll change my rating.

When you walk into this unassuming little shack, you smell this wonderful intoxicating aroma of fried beef. You see the cute little ordering area with the handwritten menu board and you think you're about to have one of the best burgers of your life. So, you are fine with the comically high prices. A great burger is worth it. Unfortunately, this experience turned out to be a complete disaster. The Cheeseburger - The bun was completely smashed. When you grill a bun, it steams so you have to let it sit for a few to regain structure. The meat, ugh, had zero flavor. I tried just the meat several times and it was like a flavor void. It was a big, juicy patty, otherwise. But for $13($2 added for American cheese?!!) Why not throw some salt and pepper on it at least? The beef had zero mineral beefy flavor, like it was old or frozen for a long time. They need an actual cook here that cares. The BLT - Charged $10 for a $2 sandwich. It had probably 2 full slices of bacon, on some toasted sourdough rounds, with some very fast food level lettuce and tomato. The bacon was far from fresh as it was crumbly and very dark from being par cooked and reheated a time or two and tasted like old grease. Yuck. I tried the bacon by itself and there was NO yummy bacon flavor because it had just been rendered to the point of no return. We didn't finish it. Get a cook here that cares. The Frings - a mix of frozen onion rings and krinkles cut fries...they were fine....but left me wondering why in the world did they cost $8??? We will never be back and we express our sympathy to others who have wasted their money here. This food was disrespectful when considering the quality promised and exorbitant pricing.
Stay local?? To get ripped off? Wow! Absolutely blown away. I understand price changes, but $57 for two burgers and two onion rings??? Did I accidentally end up in Paris? This is insanity and the very last time I will ever spend a dime at this place. The bag is so greasy, we literally have to have a kid hold it so it doesn't get the grease all over our car. This is really too bad.

This is one of those local places that they only want locals to visit if you don’t speak some coded language you can’t order. Make sure you DO NOT ask a question the girl taking the order. Will just walk away. I won’t ever make the mistake of returning
My experience today was disappointing. Honestly Idk if we'll be coming back. $80 for 2 burgers, 2 large garlic fries, 2 shakes and a can of soda. We waited over 20 minutes for our food. Fries were luke warm, shakes were part way melted and sub par taste wise, one of the burgers was part way smushed so the bun was all messed up, and the burgers were kind of bland like they didn't season them. I've been coming here for years, and love supporting local businesses especially when they have good food which in past experiences over the years No Brand has always been great. It seems like the prices have gone way too high, and the food quality has went down. If I'm paying $80 for burgers, fries and shakes there shouldn't be one thing I'm not satisfied with and that wasn't the case today. Like a year ago you could come here and get a Big Hoss meal which was a double patty bacon Cajun cheeseburger, a garlic fry, and a shake of your choice for $22 then the next time I came there it was $30, and now they don't even have that deal on the menu, so you have to buy everything separate because they have no combos or meals with burgers, fries and a drink at No Brand. Ferndale is a small town and Humboldt isn't very big to begin with so it's really frustrating that a local business like this is screwing their loyal local customers. You can't charge big city prices here for sub par food with a "country"/blue collar trailer atmosphere that has 50 flies inside.
