Buono tutto. Dopo anni siamo tornati a riprovare i loro piatti e si confermano un ottimo ristorante a base di carne. Unico difetto: la lentezza. Dopo essere tornati di recente noto che ora il servizio è molto più veloce.

Di passaggio abbiamo cenato in questo Ristorante ottimo cibo tartare con gorgonzola piccante sedano e ribes tartare con frutto di cappero tartufo senape e uovo di quaglia carpaccio di manzo con cipolla caramellata e rucola e per finire questa carbonara che dalla foto stimola l’appetito. Ottimo il servizio e la cortesia di Roberto. Consigliatissimo!

Cibo di ottima qualità , cucinato da mani sapienti e preparate Carni di qualità eccellente Servizio puntuale e sempre attento e puntuale , location pulita e ben tenuta Se proprio dovessi fare un appunto , toglierei dal tagliere il salame milanese e ricercherei qualcosa di più particolare perché tutto il resto è davvero di alto livello Ci ritornerò sicuramente

La posizione non è una meraviglia, ma il menù è ottimo e il servizio è molto gentile. Certo, è contro corrente, dato che non si serve pesce ... Ma gli gnocchi alla zucca sono eccellenti.

Di passaggio a Fiumicino, siamo stati qui a cena. La Cortesia é di casa. Ottimo servizio, ambiente molto carino e ben curato. Abbiamo provato i carciofi fritti, alla giudea, cacio e pepe, carbonara e una tagliata. Che dire tutto veramente ottimo. Sicuramente Tornerei.

I like to start by saying we have a house in southern Italy and we travel to Italy almost every month. During the season we fly from the States directly into Naples. When the major carriers stop flying into Naples for several months we fly in and out of Rome. Due to the distance and early morning flight we spend the night in Rome when we return. My wife and I eat out almost every night we are in Italy. This has to be one of the best restaurant we have had the pleasure to dine at. The atmosphere is out of this world. The patio is beautiful. A small secluded restaurant that is off the beaten path. The owner and his staff will always make you feel welcome and special. I could go on and on about the food but all I can say is just go there. Everything is homemade and done to perfection. It is very reasonably priced for the quality of food that is served. We cannot wait to go back. Thanks to the entire staff on a great place to dine. 10++++

Intimate, slightly upscale place not too far outside the airport. The hand sliced prosciutto was great but slicing tableside would more befit the restaurant's ambiance. Good wine list, excellent food. The tartar plate antipasti is the right call for a starter and the sliced steak variations are very tasty.

If you ever find yourself in Fiumicino, just minutes from Rome’s airport, do yourself a favor and stop by this incredible Italian gem. From the very first bite, you can taste the freshness and love poured into every dish. We ordered the fettuccine and carbonara, both perfectly balanced and cooked to that ideal “al dente” texture Italians are famous for. The carbonara was rich yet light, creamy without being heavy, and the fettuccine melted in our mouths with every bite. Our server recommended a local Lazio wine, and it turned out to be the perfect pairing—smooth, aromatic, and the kind of bottle you remember long after you leave. Everything—from the warmth of the staff to the simple elegance of the setting—made it feel like a true Italian experience. You can tell every ingredient is fresh and locally sourced, and every dish made with heart. We loved every little piece of it. A must-visit if you’re near Fiumicino or heading to the airport—this place alone is worth the trip!

Just wow! This place is incredible! We had our last family dinner here before heading out home and it was our most favorite meal of the trip! We had the fillet with black truffle and blackberries and 3 pastas - carbonara, amatriciana, and fettuccine with duck ragu. Everything was so delicious! The 2 dishes I want to call out are the fillet and carbonara - they were amazing! The meat just melts in your mouth - it’s perfectly tender, juicy, and full of flavor! The carbonara is the best we’ve had - smooth, creamy with perfectly crunchy pieces of guanciale. The service was great - our waiter was very friendly and attentive! Do yourselves a favor and get a meal here - you won’t regret it!

One of the best meals/experiences I’ve ever had! The staff was amazing, very kind and generous giving us food samples as soon as we sat down. We tried the raw meat appetizers, the pear sauce filet, and brownie dessert and each were incredible. Also the restaurant itself is beautiful and has a great covered patio. Amazing restaurant. If you are a meat lover, the food is top notch. They only do beef medium max and that’s perfect for us. We had the Italian beef, one with blackberry and black truffle, and one w rosemary and caramelised beet. Both were amazing. We had a simple cheese and pepper pasta and when there is perfection too in the simple dishes too, you know there is an excellent chef in the house. Our appetisers of fried meatball with lemon, and a tomino cheese in a hazelnut crust was simply bliss. Roberto, who attended to us, recommended a most excellent red to go with the meats and his suggestion of the beet vegetables totally nailed it too. And insisted on us finishing the meal with the v splendid homemade limoncello. But let me also mention the divine desserts - the assemble-yourself tiramisu was a delight, and the namelaka totally knocked us off our seats with its velvety smoothness. On the whole, this could be our best meal in our Italian summer vacation. And totally made us sealed our love affair with Italy. Thank you for a lovely evening, Contro Corrente Fiumicino! ❤️

Absolutely delicious! I made a reservation through The Fork and was welcomed in a super friendly manner. The owner (I assume) seated me and presented me with an English menu. They offer small tastes of different menu items which were really good. I could not taste many dishes off the menu but the ones I did exceeded my expectations! The hazelnut encrusted cheese is absolutely delicious, crunchy, sweet and savory (the honey adds such a fabulous balance) - a must! Then I had a tomato and ham pasta dish, which was also to die for! The wine, which the owner recommended, was a very balanced blend and I thoroughly enjoyed. Service was quick and friendly, the owner was walking the floor the whole time. Hands down the best food I had so far in Italy! Close to the airport and airport hotels, so if you find yourself in the Fiumicino area - definitely give it a try!

The name means against the current and how appropriate. We chanced upon this restaurant because the restaurant that tourist sites told us to go to was closed. What a stroke of luck. Food is on point, ambience is great and the service unforgettable. If you’re staying near the airport you absolutely have to check this place out. Whoever creates the menu is an artist, nothing is run of the mill. And prices are shockingly reasonable. And DO NOT skip dessert - their deconstructed version of Tiramisu and Mango Cheesecake are worth the trip from Rome. Staff are amazing.

Last meal in Italy after six weeks of travel! BEST MEAL OF OUR TRIP ! Roberto and his staff were attentive. They have a beautiful restaurant about 10 minutes from the Rome airport. Every dish was delicious. Presentations were lovely. They have menus in both Italian and English! Highly recommend 👌 the Conto Corrente appetizers a mix of 8 different meats and things that tease the palate, with each bite better than the last. We enjoyed our pasta dishes! The Tiramisu was a "build your own" kind of fun and a delicious finish for two to end our meal. But wait...here comes the limoncello! EXCELLENT FOODIE ADVENTURE!

This place was DELICIOUS! We debated eating at our hotel and saving the taxi money to get here and back but we were SO GLAD we went!! We wanted an authentic, delicious, last Italian meal before flying home and this was perfect- easily one of our favorite meals overall! Also, the atmosphere was awesome and the staff very friendly. We are staying at the airport and wanted to have one last real Italian dinner. We searched online and this restaurant caught my eye. After reading the reviews we decided to try it out. It took us 15 mins by bus to get there which wasn't bad. Once we walked in we were greeted by the owner. He greeted us with a nice warm smile. After seating us he gave us complimentary champagne which was a nice way to start. After taking our order he recommended a wine that would go good with our dinner. The food was amazing! The steak and beef cheek was tasteful. The beef cheek was so soft I didn't need a knife. After we finished our dinner he offered us another orange mint drink which was so perfect! We missed our last bus so we had to walk back to the airport which took about 40 minutes but it was worth it!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Sono stato da Contro Corrente per una cena e devo dire che l’esperienza è stata davvero piacevole. Il locale è moderno, curato nei dettagli e con un’atmosfera rilassante. Ho mangiato piatti della tradizione romana ben cucinati. Il servizio è stato cordiale e attento. Prezzi in linea con la qualità offerta.

Tutto molto buono, antipasto della casa da provare così come le tartare. Come primi invece abbiamo preso bucatino all'amatriciana e tonnarelli cacio e pepe. L'amatriciana un po' troppo salata, mentre tonnarello spaziale. Consigliato.

Posto molto accogliente, sala interna con veranda, specialità carne. Abbiamo preso un antipasto di bruschette, primi classici della cucina romana come amatriciana e cacio e pepe, secondo piatto di filetto con patate. Tutto davvero di qualità superiore! Molto preparati per le proposte dei vini sia bianchi che rossi, ricca proposta di dolci e ottimi anche i digestivi. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Servizio rapido e proprietario cordiale. Provare per credere!

Tutto veramente molto buono, i dolci sono qualcosa di fantastico, primi abbondanti e saporiti. Solo una delusione: ho ordinato una parmigiana e non ho potuto mangiarla perché conteneva carne, penso che gli ingredienti vadano specificati sul menù a maggior ragione se si rivisita una ricetta tradizionale che normalmente non prevede tale ingrediente. In quanto persona che non mangia carne avevo verificato sul sito la presenza di piatti vegetariani, salvo poi avere questa brutta sorpresa.

Wonderful menu,, very accommodating and attuned to our dietary needs, the food was fantastic well presented great taste and for us, coming from another country found it very good value. Highly Recomended, certainly will come here again if staying near the airport overnight, very convenient to get to and from to hotels near the airport.

This was a really good restaurant about 10 to 15 minutes away from the Hilton garden inn Rome airport hotel. The taxi out there was about 16 to 17 Euros. It was quiet and not very many people were there at 7:30 p.m. The service is really good and they were very attentive. Not all of them spoken English, But we were able to communicate just fine. The mixed salami appetizer was to die for. There were five or six varieties of different meats and it was heavenly! The steak with blackberries sauce was amazing. I had it cooked medium and it was super delicious. The baked potato wedges were really good as well. It was like having steak fries back home in America. Two others had ordered the ravioli orange, and it was nothing like what they thought it would be. It was indeed larger ravioli, but the orange sauce and shaved orange bits on top made it taste like the flavor of shaved orange rind. They could not finish it.
