What a great place to eat. The decor was nice and upbeat. The music was good. All Spanish tunes. The service was top notch. Really looked after us. Then we get to the food. LARGE PORTIONS. They said this not McDonald's where you ask where's the beef. Rofl. Love this place.

Just visited with my family and was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant’s food, service and overall atmosphere. The entry is super cozy and decorated like the restaurants in Colombia. A lot of earthy tones, greenery and Colombian folklore music playing all throughout. The service was 10/10 starting with the hostess all the way through the servers, in this case our was Liliana (incredible) and bussers here. Everyone was kind, friendly and very accommodating. As per the food, we had beef and chicken empanadas (just wow), 2 bandejas paisa, and 1 cazuela de mariscos (super crazy). In short, huge kudos to the chef because the food was outstanding. The portions are generous, tasty and leave you feeling very satisfied. I would recommend this spot 100%

Sabor a Colombia is an amazing place with delicious, authentic Colombian food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What really made the experience stand out was our waitress, Erika. She was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and always smiling. She made sure everything was perfect and made us feel truly taken care of. Her excellent service made the meal even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The menu has something for everyone, and everything we tried was top quality. But what really stood out to me were the drinks! I’m a mojito lover, and their passion fruit mojito instantly became my favorite perfectly balanced, refreshing, and full of tropical flavor. It’s the kind of drink that makes you feel like you’re back in Colombia enjoying a sunny afternoon. We went on a weekend and were pleasantly surprised to find they had a live singer, which added such a fun, vibrant energy to the evening. We brought our girls with us, and it was wonderful to see how family-friendly the environment is. Everyone from couples to families was having a great time, which speaks volumes about how welcoming this place is. A huge thank you to Erika, who provided us with outstanding service! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Her hospitality truly made the experience even better. Overall, Sabor a Colombia is a gem in Franklin Square amazing food, excellent drinks, a warm family atmosphere, and genuine Colombian culture that makes you feel right at home. 1st time eating here. Our server Erika was the best, friendly, hospital, and patient. She gave us appetizer recommendations. We chose the tostadone with pico and guacamole which was delicious. The plantinos was hugh along the portion size of the guac And pico. We ordered the grill chicken with yellow rice . The chicken is really seasoned well and tender. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful establishment set up for live performances. Great ambiance. Excellent food. The waitresses are pleasant but they need to be trained to deliver exceptional service. Ample parking. I'll go back when I am in Long Island for either lunch or dinner. The food is quite good.

We visited Sabor a Columbia at Franklin Square recently and had a great time. Our very large party was seated without a long wait, even with some of the party not yet present. Our sever was patient and accommodating and had a pleasant demeanor throughout our meal. She came back several times to check up on us and see if there is anything that we needed. The dining space is large and has a theme that makes sense and has a fresh look versus other Colombian restaurants near by. The parking lot has plenty of spots to match the available dining occupancy. I recommend this location if dining with a larger group.

The food was really good and full of authentic Colombian flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. The customer service was also great staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The only downside was the seating. Even though there were plenty of empty tables available, I was given a bad spot, and when I asked to move to a better location, it wasn’t accommodated. Aside from that, the overall experience was very enjoyable, and I would definitely come back for the food and service.

The ambience at Sabor a Colombia was very nice and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. The food, however, was just okay some dishes were flavorful, but overall it was more or less average compared to other Colombian restaurants I’ve tried. Still, it’s a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal thanks to the atmosphere and kind staff.

I recently visited and the setting was great—very foreign. The food was tasty and affordable, and the drinks were definitely lit , it was a fun atmosphere. However, I was a bit surprised when I noticed a 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since I’d already tipped the server 20% in cash. lol For a $200 bill, I can’t believe they let me double tip. which didn’t sit well with me. Honestly that pissed me off

I must say as a Colombian am offended and ashamed to even say this establishment is by any means hospitable or anything at that rate. I came with my best friend who lives out of state. We just wanted to music and drinks. We order a pitcher of passion fruit margarita, that took as long as a meal to come out. Sadly it tasted like that nasty sour mix. We thankfully had order additional drinks. We tell the waitress and she apologies and says she can get us a new pitcher made. The sour mix they use will all taste the same. She said she will speak to the manager. To no avail the waitress returns without management. Says she can't remove the pitcher but has to charge us for 1/2 pitcher. Mind you I barely touched my 1 glass, my friend had 1 down and a 2nd poured. So if you want to charge me, charge me for 2 glasses. But all this too say that not even for th4 food will I return. This experience showed me to never return again. Que Pena pero no.
