Opinions de Muzo Café Floral Park
Showing some love to my favorite small business! Everything about this restaurant is incredible. All of the food is delicious, homemade and authentic. There is so much attention to detail between the service, decor, and evolving menu items. The owner, Giacomo, has put so much love and care into this business and it shows. Everyone I know loves Misto, both the food and the staff! I will continue to come back here time and time again. P.S. Don’t skip the Fritto Misto, Pinsa style pizza, or any flavor of Tartufo!
Misto has easily become my favorite restaurant. The food and the atmosphere are absolutely amazing. It is always an incredible dining experience with delicious food and attentive service. Everything on the menu is authentic and homemade. My husband and I continue to come back and are constantly recommending Misto to family and friends! I highly recommend the Arancini, Carciofi Fritti and the Tartufo!!
My family and I tried Misto recently and are so glad we did! The food and drinks were delicious and the staff and atmosphere were very welcoming. The ham and cheese arancini was so fresh, the pizzas were extremely tasty, and my dad is still raving about his pasta. I’m so glad Floral Park has a spot like this!
Misto is one of the many restaurants tucked away in Floral Park. It’s a short walk from the Long Island Rail Road. This restaurant is part of the Resy network, which is a nice bonus for AMEX Delta, Reserve, and Delta Platinum cardholders—they can use their monthly credit here. Though the space is on the smaller side, Misto offers both bar and table seating, creating an intimate yet comfortable dining experience. I tried the Veruda personal pie, and it was delicious—fresh ingredients and just the right balance of flavors. I’m looking forward to returning and sampling more of their personal pies. If you’re in Floral Park and craving tasty, thoughtfully prepared food, Misto is definitely worth a visit!
Giacomo really knows his food. It’s simple: It’s authentic, homemade and humble. These kinds of restaurants are gems and they’re doing it the right way. It’s becoming more rare as time goes by. Try any Roman style pizza, Eggplant Parmigiana or the semi-secret Philly Cheesesteak. The servers James and Gael are very hospitable and welcoming as well. Highly highly suggest you check it out.
Food, drinks, service, ambiance—a phenomenal experience all around. A perfectly measured mix of authentic Italian and modern American influences. Special thanks to owner Giacomo! Pictured below: the pinsa classica, the penne alla vodka special, the insalata di casa, the merluzzo, and an affogato for dessert.
Been waiting to try since before it opened and it was worth the wait. Went early so we had the seat we wanted in the back. I loved the nice and cozy vibe. Great beer selection, the antipasti was excelent (be sure to ask for some bread to go with it though) and the pizza was fresh from the oven with a very nice sweet sausage. Will be back for sure.
Incredible food - dinner, brunch, drinks, etc. dessert is also a MUST. Do not sleep on it ! Great staff. So happy to have a place in town like this. Hats off to the owner Giacomo for creating such a welcoming atmosphere!

Great local pizza and pasta restaurant. The Roman pizza had great bread, recommend trying that style.
We came at 4pm. The Ambiance and light music were excellent. The staff was quick, knowledgeable. We found the menu was very cutting edge and inviting. We ordered the antipasto which was fresh with an excellent presentantation. For our main course rucola pizza which was delicious.
Giacomo the owner, Antonio the chef, Gael the waiter, and the rest of the staff have created the perfect, small, and cozy restaurant located in the heart of Floral Park! The staff keeps Misto spotless. The food is absolutely delicious with fare from all over Italy. The desserts are outstanding, it is impossible to say which one is best, all must be tried. Misto Pizza Bar welcomes all residents and non-residents of Floral Park and works hard to make everyone feel welcome. It is with ease I give it five stars!

Incredible food and service. Always a spot I keep going back to. Most authentic Italian food with the best pizza in the area in my opinion and honestly better than the places I’ve tried in Manhattan. Amazing quality ingredients and the food is consistently good every time. Cozy restaurant too. The miele e fuoco pizza and fritto misto are delicious-must order.
Went to dinner at Misto with my wife last weekend, it was a wonderful time! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to our table even with a packed house. The drinks and food were delicious and we fully intend to come back soon!
My go to spot when I’m in the area! Incredible and authentic italian food - you can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas and the artichokes are my absolute favorite appetizer! The service is exceptional while the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for a date night or even brunch with the girls!
AMAZING food! Went during happy hour specials and got their specials (bruschetta, caprese, meatball sliders, mozzarella sticks & Parmesan truffle fries), all of which were absolutely amazing. Definitely get the meatball sliders; absolutely amazing. The drinks were also delicious, my favorite was the limoncello martini and my friends was the aperol spritz; both of which I highly recommend. Great service and a great atmosphere all around. Definitely check this small business out if you’re in town!
LOVE Misto, and a great spot to check out if you’re a foodie. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care — you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Everything felt homemade and comforting but still elevated. I love finding places like this on Long Island — amazing food and a great reminder to support our local businesses. Definitely worth a visit and looking forward to coming back!!!
Been here twice now and both times were worth the trip from the city! We really enjoyed the fritto misto, Cacio e Pepe and classic pie, but can we talk about the service?? The owner Giacomo is so awesome. We didn’t even notice how busy it got, but he came by with some dessert at the end of a busy dinner rush to apologize for not stopping by more—truly incredible team running this place! The vibe is super cozy and the ultimate date night destination. Can’t wait to return!

I’ve been here many times before but tonight takes the cake! Gael was so hospitable and it was such a treat to have him serve us. The food and the drinks are amazing , which is why we keep coming back!

Had a great experience at Misto. The waiter was engaging and totally helpful and informed about the menu. The pizza was excellent and the salad was delicious!
We have been twice and both times have been wonderful. Honestly one of the best restaurants we have tried in Floral Park. We have had the brunch and the options are unique and delicious, dinner was also great! For dinner we shared a pasta and a pizza, as well as the calamari as an app.
We have come to Misto in the past month for three different special occasions, and it was outstanding each time. Our server, Ali, was so kind and attentive. The food is very fresh and delicious. We’ve tried their pizza, salads, pastas, and sides, and we have enjoyed everything! We are so grateful this spot has opened on Tulip. It’s a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
Misto in Floral Park never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and laid-back, and it’s just one of those places where you instantly feel comfortable. Whether you’re grabbing dinner, meeting friends for brunch, or just want to hang at the bar for a drink, it’s always a good time. The food is fresh, creative, and packed with flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into what they serve. I’ve tried a few different dishes and honestly haven’t had a bad bite yet. The drinks are just as good—perfectly made and not overpriced. The staff is super friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s definitely become one of my go-to spots in the area. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!
We tried a few things here and overall had a good experience. Classica Roman Pinsa ($18) – Kind of like a flatbread pizza. The sauce and cheese were fine, but the dough was amazing with a light, crispy, and super tasty crust. As a bread lover, I really enjoyed it. Breakfast Cheesesteak ($22) – slices of Prime rib, provolone, onions, and two runny eggs, with fries on the side. This was like an upscale version of a Philly cheesesteak. The bread was excellent again and the eggs were a nice touch. Fries were spot-on, though I wish they offered more than just ketchup (an aioli or mayo would’ve been great). Penne Vodka ($25) – Came with onions, peas, and prosciutto. The sauce was creamy and coated the penne nicely, but the peas tasted like frozen ones and I could barely find any prosciutto-I really had to hunt for them. Portion was on the smaller side, and I would’ve loved some extra Parmesan to top it off but none was offered. Overall, we found the food was pretty good. Nothing over the top, but authentic, fresh and flavorful. I think portions are on smaller side, don’t expect family style portions but that’s okay, the quality makes up for it. The restaurant itself is cozy, clean, and welcoming

Went for the first time a few weeks ago. Great atmosphere. The food was generally pretty good. Had the Arancini special, a pizza, and the cacio e pepe pasta. Arancini and pizza were really really good. The pasta was cooked al dente which I appreciated but while it’s cacio e pepe there was way too much pepper making it almost inedible. It was as if they dumped the entire box of black pepper on it. If they balance that out the meal would have been 5 stars. They have a good wine selection as well.
We ordered the Fritto Misto and Arancini appetizers, 2 cocktails, the Straciatella pizza, and a slice of ricotta cheesecake dessert. The appetizers, cocktails, and pizza were all very enjoyable. The cheesecake was awful. It was super dried out, like they left it uncovered in the fridge since the restaurant opened. There was a small cash discount, our meal came out to about $130 cash after tax and tip.

I was SO excited to try this restaurant, especially because I’m not from the area and was visiting some family. Well, our food arrives—my portion is substantially smaller than my boyfriend’s, and my sister-in-laws pasta dishes. I got the cacio y pepe, my boyfriend got the fusili with broccoli rabe and sausage, and my sister-in-law got the gnocci. The cacio y pepe was cold, and when I asked them to re-heat it, it was lukewarm at best when it came back. Not only was it lukewarm, but it was also dry and just unappetizing after being microwaved. The waiter offered to make something different, but at that point, I’d already been done. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful, and our waiter was very kind. The only thing was that he did have B.O., which made it very off-putting when receiving our food as it affected our appetite in the moment. I think that when you work in the food service industry, being cleanly groomed and maintaining personal hygiene is very important. I don’t believe I will come back due to my experience, but in the off chance that I do, I expect to have much better service than what I experienced.
I had a terrible experience eating brunch here. The omelette I ordered was completely overcooked and overly salted, the description said goat cheese but it was sour feta cheese, and the carbonara pizza was burnt and bland. Even the mixed greens that the omelette came with had way too much dressing and onions. I had high hopes for this restaurant but was very disappointed. Even the service was terrible, we were seated on tiny tables, saw a couple get seated after us, and was served after them. That was pretty appalling.
