Excellent food, great bar. There's a patio you can sit outside and eat, and watch the beautiful scenery. There is also a great place next door for a reception or wedding. Plus you can play golf, as well. My favorite place to eat in the area! Bon appetit!

Nice place! Best food, service, and atmosphere that we have had in Floresville. We enjoyed the view from the patio. Great choices even from the limited covid menu. We will definitely be back soon.

Now that Lew's has there parking lot lights working again, I'm giving these guys 5 stars. Other than a order of Nachos served with no beans ,cause they where out, their fish,burgers,chicken, steaks have always been on spot in the tasty dept.

Absolutely wonderful!!! I had grilled shrimp tacos... DELICIOUS. I also had a Raspberry Limoncello Sangria. Holy moly, that's my new favorite!

Always have a great time here! The food is good, the view is great and the staff is always friendly! The one and only "meh" is that sometimes their alcoholic mixed drinks taste and feel like there is no alcohol in them and they can be a bit too acidic. But aside from that, I would recommend!

Ordered the Hamburger and Alfredo Fettuccine and I was very pleased. The Hamburger was very juicey and well cooked. My Wife enjoyed the Fettuccine and there was enough to enjoy it as a second meal the next day. A little expensive but we really enjoyed our meals.

Really nice restaurant and full service bar near the River Bend Golf Course in Floresville. Food was excellent and the service was very good. The place was busy, but there was only a 5 minute wait. We had dinner and drinks. The chicken fried ribeye steak is amazing. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I decided to visit here on the way back from San Antonio and boy are we glad we did. This is the absolute best place we’ve eaten at since we came to South Texas outside of the bigger cities. The appetizers were amazing, that queso is to die for. Both of our dinner plates were beautifully presented, and everything was delicious. The seasonings weren’t overbearing, but rather complimented and balanced with the natural flavors of each food as all good dishes should. Chicken and steak cooked and seasoned to perfection, sides that made you feel like grandma was in the kitchen after taking a class from Gordon Ramsay, and a wonderful atmosphere make this restaurant the absolute top on our list. Oh and I normally don’t even order desserts at a restaurant but this guy has been baptized in the Holy buttery waters of Paula Deen herself. Best brownie I’ve ever had. How this Chef is in a little town like Floresville is beyond me but do yourself a favor and go get your fill. You won’t regret it.

The food was great, my 16 oz. ribeye was cooked as ordered and it was a nice thick cut. The chips tasted a little weird, like they had some sort of chemical on them. Really strange flavor. Our waitress was interesting... she did a fine job up until the point when she brought all the food out. My friend had ordered grilled shrimp on his steak but she brought him grilled mushrooms instead. When he told her that she brought him the wrong thing, she CORRECTED HIM and TOLD HIM, “No, you ordered grilled shrooms.” I’ve never seen a waitress correct someone and tell them what they ordered when the customer is sitting right there saying they ordered something else. She should have said, “oh I’m sorry I thought you said mushrooms, I’ll go fix that right away” but she didn’t. Very strange interaction. Anyways my friend finally gave up and just scraped the mushrooms off his steak. Thankfully it was a work dinner and so he didn’t have to pay for the steak.

Lews has a new look! Our server was very pleasant took excellent care of our table of 6. The new owner came by to make sure everything came out like we ordered.

I selected Lew's to hold a small wedding reception. It was the perfect place for us! Veronica, events coordinator, made sure I had everything covered. She is a jack-of-all-trades, serving as our server, bartender, etc that everything. You'll feel like family. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Celebrated my birthday there. Excellent service and great food. The wait staff were very attentive to our entire 30 people party. Everyone in my party were very impressed and said they'd return.

Great food and the service is great. I love the Joes shrimp is so fresh and lightly breaded , the haddock chunks baked in butter with Parmesan cheese topping are mouth watering! Small but very clean and full of character! Love lunch and dinner anytime at Joe Fush!!

I decided to update my review after my last few visits. The main dish items have improved greatly and they have always had good drinks. The events coordinator is the best and she is easily accessible and available. The servers are really good and seem to stay on top of things. This is a "date night" regular for my husband and I and we have really enjoyed our food and the ambiance as of late. I would suggest checking it out!

Very nice atmosphere overlooking the golf course. Had the grilled chicken breast; It was very moist and a nice size portion. I was with a large group of about 25 adults. The waitress was efficient and the food came out quickly and accurately.

I love this place and it's only gotten better every year. If I come back to town, it's a definite stop of mine. The ribeye is my favorite, but have never had anything but great food there. And Sam! Sam is the bestest of the bestestest bartenders ever! And deserved a raise like yesterday!!

Delicious pizza with thin crust nice and crunchy with outer crust soft i loved it ! My Ron had the big juicy burger with bacon on it the french fries were so perfectly crisp and the onion strings so good too. They were able to make him raspberry tea and the Moscow mule was pretty good.

The chicken fried chicken was good, although I felt the portions were small all around.

Great place to meet friends for dinner & drinks - suggest you arrive when it's cool & sit outside. The echo inside is so loud inside you cannot carry on a normal conversation.

Food was good and the service was adequate. We had to sit inside which was disappointing. In the future I will call ahead to make sure there is no event using the patio. They were not staffed to handle an event and regular guests.

I love their Mango Margarita Grande. I don't like Tequila but this one is so good that I forget it is something I usually don't go for. The food was a bit slow coming out and I didn't understand why we had to wait 15 min to be seated when there were bunch of tables open. Maybe they were understaffed in the kitchen but the food was excellent.

One of the better places in Floresville but be prepared to be there for an hour and half. The bar and bar staff are great. The table wait staff are generally pretty slow. Kitchen times can be really slow when they're busy as well. Food has always been pretty good, but for the atmosphere and some of the prices I feel they could elevate it up a notch. If you want a "higher class" date night without driving into San Antonio, this is the place to go.

We went to Lew's last night. Party of 7. Excellent service, hostess was friendly, sat us immediately on a moderately busy Thursday night. Waitress was very attentive and our food was served within 20-25 minutes. Food quality vs pricing was 2 1/2 stars. Understanding we are paying for the view etc...but when Trail Riders has better tasting food than this establishment it dosen't look good for business. $$$ Typical golf course food. Would go back if i had too.

Walked in, greeted by a young man that spoke so softly we could not hear him unless we leaned way into him. Was told 10min wait. Looked into dining room and only 4 tables were in use, he said they were short staffed in the back...🤔. Bar was hopping or we would have sat in there! Got seated and it seemed like each table had it's own waitstaff, maybe short staffedin kitchen?? We only had drinks and appetizers. Chips/dip/queso and the shrimp poppers on fried potato skins. They were great. Drinks were on point too! Sure hope they can pick up in the back or just make the bar bigger😁

Had the three meat pizza. It was cooked, right. You know how on some pizzas you bite into it, and it's doughy at the bottom, not this one. It was nice and crisp. I like that.

Good food & good service. Suggestions though; 1) don't allow smoking on the back patio. It ruins a meal. 2) put some fans outside to circulate the air.

A lot of the food that came out look the same. The chicken quesadillas or Bland, but the bartender makes a fantastic lemon drop martini the girl bartender that is with blonde hair I give her five stars

The food was good, the service not so much. We actually had planned on spending the evening there as it is a nice place and there was a nice breeze however as soon as we were done eating the waiter brought us a check so we paid it and left.

Sadly the food can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's great and others pretty terrible. Service is usually pretty good. Wish the cook could be consistent.

Lew's what happened?! I have come here twice in the past couple of years. I love this place! View is amazing, staff is great! But there is no love in the food:( lemon butter taste like butter and cream. Rice and mash tasted old and obviously not fresh. Jalapeno bacon gravy had no flavor. The jalapeno & onions weren't cooked or sauteed to give the gravy flavor. Last time the Alfredo tasted like cream and garlic. Bring the love back!! I am available if y'all need it! ;)

The food was just okay. I ordered chicken breast with the rice pilaf and vegetable blend. Not much flavor. My mother-in-law had the beef nachos. They were very good and I wished I had ordered them instead. My husband ordered the chicken fried ribeye. He said it needed more seasoning and he rarely uses seasonings. He said the gravy was weird. That was the reason I had changed my first pick. The waitress was friendly. I thought it was strange that when I gave her $100 bill to pay for our food she brought back change but shorted me on the actual coin part. I wouldn't have been bothered by it so much but she just handed me the money and walked away. I felt that she could have said "I'm sorry we don't have coins or do you have exact coin change as we are out?" Instead she just handed me the bill portion shorting me on the rest without a work.

Nothing bad about the experience here, but also nothing spectacular. The chicken poblano was tender, but over grilled on the under side which was a bit disappointing. A flavorful poblano sauce on top could have been it's saving grace, yet it was a bit bland. The sides were typical veggies and rice which were properly cooked, but nothing that couldn't be achieved at home. Had 2 separate margaritas that also were good, but nothing special. Given how mediocre the restaurant scene is in Floresville, this place should be a welcome change because of it's alluring ambiance. If the quality of the dishes matched the atmosphere and prices this would be a great place to dine.

Service was slow and the food slightly over priced. Small interior..booths are too high and the gold course outside is just annoying to look at Go to Tycoon Flats in San Antonio. Burgers are WAY better.

When Lews came to Floresville, they had a true chef. And the food was unlike anything you could get in Floresville. However, after the third DISAPPOINTING visit we won't be going back. Friday evening, service was slow, quesadillas appetizer took to long and were soggy. Previous visit we all ordered pasta dishes and the pasta on all three orders was over cooked. Ceviche is blah, drinks are expensive and service is sub-par in relationship to prices and serving size. We cook better at home. Food is better and served hot. Tonight, 2 top shelf margaritas 2 Jack and cokes and a soggy quesadilla $54 bucks. I could duplicate this at home for $12 and I can guarantee it would blow their's away.

When you have to ask for silver ware to eat with, ask for water to drink, no sugar or cream with coffee. Not to mention the 1/2 cup we got was charged 2.50 ea. And not even a pen to sign the ticket with. Better luck next time.i hope, if there is a next time.

This was the first time we went, a early lunch with not many people there. it was way 2 much $$$ ., it was me and my mom. We had 2 drinks each and shared meal. the check was over $100. then tip. I didn't think she should have gotten any. I WON'T GO BACK !!

this place should be shut down. First of all it’s a gold mine in Floresville. Their menu has been cut to less than Burger King. Honestly they should not wake up tomorrow. Did I say this place should be shut down They have a great menu on line but you get here and it’s nothing in comparison. They give you a menu in a cheap plastic document protector and the font is so small you can’t even read it. Did I say this place should be shut down. This is supposed to be a country club restaurant. Again a great game face only to find out they shouldn’t even be open Go to Bill Millers or Burger King even Dairy Queen with their microwave oven can put this place to shame Then you have the economic folks that are supposed to help businesses survive. That’s a huge waste of money. Again get your stuff together or close down The manager said we were on the wrong search engine. She stated she’s very proud of her current menu which has a total of 20 items and provided to customers in such a poor fashion. Did I say CLOSE this place DOWN

Some of my family attended an event at this restaurant. The hostess, Veronica, was so rude and insisted 1 person pay for everyone's meals on 1 card & collect from everyone. They did not know many of the people, so they refused. Reservations were made well in advance, but due to overbooking, they chose to punish the customers. They left without having dinner. My family was very upset😡.

Went in yesterday for our Christmas Dinner we had a table for 20 when i got to the restaurant the hostess was already super rude turned out to be the manager the entier night she was looking at our table with a rude stank face. As far as the waiter we had he was super attentive and did an amazing job serving our table THANK YOU GABRIEL!! Manager should be fired for treating paying customers like that.

Great view of the course and the island driving range green. We used to visit quite a bit, but now returned after more than a year. Food is still decent, but the service quality has really crashed. What Happened: As we ordered, we confirmed with our server that the happy hour menu was in force (she went and asked the manager). When the bill came, everything was full price. When we questioned it, the new server (we weren't told the old server left, perhaps she was fired?!) went and asked the "manager." Answer: "the computer automatically does it, so you must have ordered before 3pm." (nope, it was 3:40pm, and we asked before we ordered to make sure). Being a former server in college, there are a few things you are taught NEVER TO DO. 1) You better be dying before you don't finish a table at your shifts end. If you really have to leave, visit the table and introduce who will be taking over for you. 2) If there is a problem, make sure the manager visits the table to address anything wrong. 3) Don't let glasses go empty. Because customers are valuable and you want them to come back. I don't think we will.

We ordered Chicken Sarah...should have been grilled chicken breast with sun dried tomatoes, butter, goat cheese, parmesan pasta......insanely dry chicken and literally 2 slices of dried roma tomatoe. We were a group of 8, with check split in 3. We were still charged 20% gratuity and the service was NOT great- incredibly slow for a Tuesday evening with very little patrons. I can't speak for other services that this venue may provide but a casual dinner is not great. The drinks are the only thing worth while.

I have been here 2 or 3 times, last night was the last time I plan to go. Service was slow and servers didn't seem to have a clue what food went to what table. We received an appetizer, almost 2 but I saw him putting it down and stopped him, that no one ordered. The appetizers we did order were good. However, my burger which I ordered medium well was an inedible charred puck and at that point I was fed up. I feel that the wait staff and cooks need to be retrained.

After an extremely long wait 4 out 5 meals were cold, as was the appetizer. 2 stars because the drinks were good. Definitely not a place to go if you only have a limited time to eat. They were not busy, so I really don't understand.

The noses of management in this place are turned up so high they can count the hairs on their Chinny Chin Chin. I have never in my life been soo disgusted of a tight necked snobbish environment in my entire life. I think her name was Jan, but she was the most condescending person I have ever come in contact with! Never again. In fact I will share this experience with my children and grandchildren in order to insure that my family never behaves in such a disgraceful manner!

I payed $ 20.00 for Riley that look like a pork chop . My friend food was cold , baked potato was not cooked all the way. We wait 45 minutes for a table and then waited 2 hours for are food . Are waitress never came to check on us we only saw her twice . I recommend everyone to stay away from this place

Service is non existent. Waiters will see you waiting at the front and do nothing to help you. Waitstaff have less training than Burger King and act like unprofessional government employees

Would give zero stars if I could , came with a group of 8 every other table received their food until we asked about a ours. An hour later the food came out cold , we didn't even eat but they still charged is the drinks and gratuity. Worst service don't waste your time .

Don't waste your time or money. Staff is a bunch of dead-eyed, inattentive teenagers that have no concept of hospitality. You're better off eating a microwave dinner at home.

This place is overpriced for mediocre food. We went here after my daughter's wedding, and there were several of us, so I didn't expect really fast service, but even with the number of people we had, 2 hours seems a little excessive. Definitely won't be going here again.

My steak was over tenderized. Almost a mushy texture. My husband's coleslaw was literally just cabbage and mayo, not even salt. My daughter's chicken Sarah was cooked to a tough crust and a very dry inside. My grand son had gravy with his chicken strips( had to be a la carte) It was bland and tasteless. No apologies, no replacement items and no we will delete those items. The waitress was less than enthusiastic. She seemed to have come directly from a funeral. This was on Sat. Dec. 4th at lunch.

This is the first review I have written online, but we had a terrible experience at Lews. We arrived a little after 8 PM, they close at 9 PM, and on a splurge my husband and I ordered filet dinners. About 10 minutes later, two girls started slamming chairs upside down on the tables. This continued until all tables were banged with chairs. We felt totally out of place and so asked for our meals to go. There were 2 other couples in the restaurant - one left shortly before us and one group were still eating. Very rude behavior on the part of wait staff.

30 minute wait to get a table, many tables were open. Ordered a steak, medium and side salad. The tomatoes on the salad looked like they were about to start growing mold, they were so wilted. The steak came out medium rare, was tough and stringy but was incredibly flavorful. Chewing a piece took so long that my jaw actually started to hurt. The veggies were good, but on the cold side as well as the baked potato, which they offered me nothing but butter to put on it. The fish my friend ordered had a freezery taste to it and the rice pilaf was a bit too al dente. Our waitress seemed more interested in the table beside us because I'm guessing her friends were there...I say this because she hung at that table for 10 minutes at a time..sometimes more. She only came by our table three times, once to get our order, once to refill the drinks and once to bring the to go box. One of the managers brought out the check, neatly folded in half. The other manager came by to ask about the steak and offered to bring another out, but by that point I was too tired of chewing the two bites I got out of the first one...didn't want to risk any more strain on my jaw. The ticket came to a whopping $75 for a steak and a fish dish. Don't bother coming here. The atmosphere is terrible he food is mediocre, and everything is overpriced. You can go down the street to Maverick and get a better steak and service and pay a whole lot less.

So disappointed tonight. Came here after a four hour drive for some good food and a glass of wine. Was told it was a 25 min wait. 45 minutes later we still were not seated even though we watched several people leave. I went up and asked the hostess were we going to be seated any time soon and with a smirk in her face she replied, "no ma'am." I clarified we were not going to be seated at one of the 4 open tables and again the smirk and the flat no ma'am. So much for dinner there. We left.

Visited lews today for a family lunch. However it wasn’t the best experience. Ordered the Chicken fried ribeye and once received the looks of the meal looked appealing however the flavor was very bland. Literally had to use about 1/4 of a cup of salt to just achieve the flavor out of the ribeye and still didn’t. Took about 2 bites of the ribeye and couldn’t find myself to finish the meal. The green beans had a rubbery texture with again no flavor what soever. The waitress kassandra was very kind about the situation. She talked to the restaurant manager about removing the meal from my bill due to not being satisfied with the meal. In the end the manager did not accept taking the meal off the bill due to her reasons. Didn’t feel like I should have paid for the meal with only 2 bites taken to taste nor didn’t I feel like arguing about it especially with my family there and for the respect of other guest. definitely won’t be returning for a while….if that.

Honestly I haven't been back in awhile due to horrible service. Today reinforced the service still is horrendous besides the individual running food and the bus boy. I never recieved my undressed draft beer. The food was horrible, the mashed potatoes were spoiled, the chicken sandwich was inedible and the steak was over cooked. The only items that were ok was the salad and mixed veggies. 80 dollars later, kid still hungry, and lots og leftover, left on the table.

A restaurant on a country club. It was a beautiful building and the staff were welcoming. They don't make you feel intimidated by the fact that it's on a country club. Everyone is welcome to come to the restaurant. However, blame it on being understaffed, but the service was the worst I've seen in a long while. Our appetizers didn't come out for more than 30 minutes. They asked to refill our drinks and then never came back. Just awful service. They were friendly enough, but they did not fulfill their service duties at all. We saw other tables become frustrated and leave after waiting for an inordinate amount of time.

This place never fails. It is so poorly run, the service is always mediocre. The food never comes out on time, and if it does it’s either over, or under cooked. We just waited over an hour for our food, we asked about it, waited another few minutes and walked out. I left the money for the drinks me and my family got. It was so bad tonight, they didn’t even have ranch dressing 🤷‍♂️ From management, kitchen, and staff it is always a disappointment. Lew’s could be an amazing place, but it’s never 👎 been run to its full potential. This is for years now.

I came here with my family the other day and the workers would not leave us alone. Our server smelled like ammonia and the owner, who does not dress professional at all, kept on bothering us and reeked of cigarettes.
