This place is good. It is garden to come to a steak place and have something other than steak :-) The filet mignon was tender and flavorful. Recommend the poblano meatballs. Blackened redfish was a pleasant surprise. Bar area in the front. Large selection of wine and spirits. Music played is all Texas performers. We'll worth a visit for a splurge.
Jenn was our waitress during our first ever visit to 1845. The food was delicious and the "off the menu" mocktail was a great surprise. We'll definitely be back in the near future.
I thought the meal tonight was good. Went with a group of about six people and everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the 30 ounce pork chop. Sometimes you can get a large piece of meat, but it doesn’t have good flavor. This pork chop had really good flavor and also came with a jam that you could use to dip it in, which was kind of different than what I ever done before but it was really good. As a side I got brussels sprouts which had good flavor so overall it was a really good meal.
1845 Taste Texas food is excellent!!! The pork chops are simply delicious. I don’t like large cuts of meat but this is so tender, juicy flavorful. Two people can enjoy with a side of mashed potatoes and their delicious salad.
Atmosphere was nice. Service was great, our waiter didn’t miss a beat. The food was delicious. We had the Pork Belly as an appetizer and it was so tender and mouthwatering. We both ordered the Filet Mignon which was just amazing. Even the sides were delicious. The jalapeño mac and cheese was my favorite. Then for dessert, we had the bourbon peach cobbler which was the perfect ending to our first visit at 1845. This will definitely not be our last and we recommend 100%.
We had an incredible anniversary dinner at 1845 Taste Texas! I ordered the filet mignon, which was prepared perfectly—crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. Honestly, one of the best steaks I've ever had! My wife loved her salmon and the potatoes au gratin. We shared the trio to start, and she raved about the 1845 salad, calling it fantastic. The sides (brussels sprouts and jalapeño mac and cheese) were the perfect bold accompaniment to the meal. A huge shoutout to our servers, Makayla and Heather; they were attentive without being intrusive. I never even had to ask for a water refill! We will definitely be back.
Love the ambiance. Our waiter Jordan G was wonderful. This was our first time here and celebrating my husband's birthday. The new fashion and the Woodford Old Fashioned were delicious. The food was wonderful from start to finish. We started with smoked salmon, which was delicious with the dill sauce, capers, and tomatoes – so good! Then salads were hot the spot. The. Entree the strip, redfish and pobalono chicken all were seasoned perfectly and cooked to the correct temperature. Lastly, we had dessert, of course. The double chocolate with cheesecake in the middle and the peach cobbler with cinnamon ice cream. A great way to finish! For sure, we will be back. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
Had a great first visit to 1845 this past weekend. Had to wait about 10-15 minutes past reservation time to be seated but no big deal, and they had someone come around asking if we wanted drinks while we waited and also passed out a free meatball which was neat and delicious. The steaks were great. Cooked perfectly and had a nice crust to them. Our waitress, Ava, was amazing. Super fun and friendly and knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely be back.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary and had a great time. I had the salmon cooked well done (which it was but not dry). My husband’s steak was perfect (medium rare), and he said it was the best steak he’s had a restaurant in years. Outstanding service from Makayla and Heather. I have some dietary restrictions/food allergies, which they accommodated well and checked with the kitchen. We will definitely be back. Parking was easy, and the restaurant is in a cute area.
Very pleasant atmosphere, great selection of drinks and unique appetizers. Entre variety was robust for our party of 4. I have lived in the metroplex my entire life and would definitely recommend for those visiting the area. Our server, Emilio was entertaining, attentive, and full of information. I can imagine returning again to try more of the menu.
The service here is top notch. If you are celebrating a special occasion and want to make someone feel special, bring them here. We came as a family to celebrate my birthday. Our server was attentive and great. Also the manager made sure everything was taken care of and checked on us often. We had the brisket queso to start, each got different entrees like different cuts of steaks and finished off with cobbler with ice cream. Food and service were excellent!
First, Lindsey was an OUTSTANDING waitress! She answered every question we had, she was so kind and knowledgeable. She had recommendations and even let me taste the sauce for the pork chop before I ordered. The food was insane. Every part of dinner was amazing. Highly recommend the meatballs and fried jalapeños for appetizers. The pork chop was huge and tasted fabulous. And every margarita we had was stellar! Super recommend. Love the atmosphere as well since it’s all Texas dedicated!
I’ve been wanting to try 1845 for a while and decided to take my husband for his birthday. Our sever was extremely attentive. The cocktails were great, I really loved the watermelon sunrise. We really enjoyed the Texas trio for our appetizer. My husband said the smoked prime rib was the best he’s had. The jalapeño Mac and cheese was amazing and so was the peach cobbler. They don’t skimp on portions either. We will be back!
Great service and great food. I was here for a work lunch in the private dining area. Everything was excellent but my favorite was most definitely the deep fried quail with a side of gravy. Porterhouse steak was excellent and had a great Smoky flavor. Most of the sides were good, but I would definitely not skip on the appetizers. Also there was a chicken dish. I don't really call the name of it but it was excellent as well. Their desserts were absolutely incredible. Especially the cheesecake and I don't even like cheesecake. Blueberry crumble was also amazing.
I’ve been here twice and both times I was thoroughly pleased with the service and the food. Everyone is welcoming kind and patient. Booking a reservation is very easy and we were seated immediately. I have not had a bad dish here! For appetizers the meatballs and smoked wings are excellent, and really could be a meal by themselves considering how much you get. For the main course, we had the redfish and smothered chicken; both very delicious. I ordered a drink but didn’t like it and without question or issue they took it back and replaced it with my second drink choice. I’m looking forward to dining again, and may make this my annual birthday spot, as they have many options I’d love to try
I made a reservation for 2 through Resy. The restaurant itself had a great atmosphere and the food itself was delicious. Our server, Elijah, explained everything to us, including the history of 1845 itself,. His service was amazing for how busy he was. I had the Smoked Prime Rib and my wife had the filet mignon. Both were cooked perfectly and I could not say anything bad about the food.
Took my wife here for our anniversary and they did not disappoint. The food was really good; my wife got the fillet which was amazing and I got the smoked prime rib which was quite unique and delicious! The sides were great too, augratten potatoes and the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. Our starter was the pork belly and while delicious, it is very filling so I would share that with more than 2 people if you want room for the main course. Wait staff was very prompt, polite, and informed us about menu options. I will be going back in the future.
We adore this place! My son and husband have noise sensitivity issues so this is always a factor in where we dine. 1845 has a loud happy hour which is great for many (I used to be a server, I get it!) but not for my family. They are accommodating with our seating reservations and I appreciate it so very much. The servers are stellar. They understand the menu and can give recommendations if you ask and in my experience they have been genuine and authentic. I’ve never felt like an inconvenience or anything other than a special guest. Food is obviously outstanding. They’re known for it! I adore the blueberry cocktail and steaks and my husband literally orders three platters of meatballs for the appetizer. They’re that good! It’s upscale without being stuffy. Thank you 1845 for making us always feel special and accommodating special needs.
1845 Taste Texas is one of those rare places that feels refined without being pretentious. The atmosphere is elegant, dim lighting, modern design, and just enough buzz to feel alive without being loud. The staff clearly takes pride in what they do; from the greeting at the door to the final check, everything feels intentional and professional. The food is what really stands out. Perfectly cooked steaks, great appetizers, and drinks that are crafted, not poured. You can tell they focus on quality over shortcuts. It’s a place that makes you slow down and enjoy the evening, definitely worth the price for the experience. Highly recommend for anyone wanting something upscale, comfortable, and genuinely Texan in spirit.
My party attended 1845 for my brother’s 21st birthday. Jordan was our server, and he was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, from attentiveness, clarity and knowledge on the dishes and drinks, whatever we needed, he was on top of it. Service was above and beyond. It was explained the 1845 and all of its decor is in honor of Texas and Texas history. From the wall art to the music (all music played in the restaurant is music made by Texans, pretty cool if you ask me). But this doesn’t mean it’s like a ranch or a hacienda. The main dining area is comfortable and dimly lit as a high end restaurant should be, inviting and comfortable. Our table of 5 shared the appetizer, “the Texas Experience” which is a sample platter of several of their other appetizers, Lockhart Fried Quail, Poblano Meatballs, Pork Belly, and Fried Jalapeños, all with their respective dips for maximized flavor. This appetizer is an absolute highlight of the restaurant and if you are with a party of 3 or 4 it’s almost plenty of food to get you through the night. We all had drinks and cocktails (of course it’s a 21st bday party). I had the Woodford old fashioned (had 2 actually) and it was made exactly right, citrus and bitters, with the lovely flavor of Woodford Reserve (not a Texas whiskey, which…I think maybe a good idea to switch to a Texas whiskey of your restaurant is based on Texas and Texas history, but I digress, because the drink was perfect, just a thought.) We all ordered different cuts of Steak for our entrees. I ordered the 14 oz ribeye, cooked medium rare. I ordered 2 sides to go with it, and added a side of grilled shrimp. The steak is the interesting part. I was NOT blown away by it. Maybe it’s because the appetizers were so beyond excellent that they overshadowed the steak. However, even with the house peppercorn sauce the steak was underwhelming. It was cooked perfectly to medium rare like I asked, but the flavor was just not hitting me the way o was anticipating. The shrimp however, were EXCELLENT! I remember thinking I should have ordered as my entree instead…The mashed potatoes were another dish that were slightly underwhelming. They lacked some of the flavors that I really look for in mashed potatoes at a good steak house, butter, garlic, pepper, a hint of chives maybe….none of that was present, to me they came off bland and a little dry. The last thing I ordered was the Macaroni and cheese, and this is an absolute banger. It was a component to every dish I ordered and was another highlight of the evening for me. Creamy and delicious, the macaroni and cheese is a clear standout. Finally the Bourbon Peach Cobbler with vanilla ice cream was ordered as dessert. We all got a few bites and it was a wonderful way to end the meal. I would highly suggest the peach cobbler. In the end, I would definitely go back to 1845, I would try things a little different, and literally would try any entree beside the steaks…sounds weird I know. But if you are a Texan, as I am…you’ve had some really good steak, and their steak, at those prices, just wasn’t up to snuff with the rest of the food. I would highly recommend trying 1845 if you are looking for some unique, savory, delicious food.
We had dinner here this evening for my birthday. I’ve been a server for 15 years so my expectations are pretty high when we dine out. I have to say, not only were our expectations and needs met, they were exceeded. Our server, Jordan R. was phenomenal. He was knowledgeable of not only the menu but of the restaurant as a whole. He provided not just amazing service but a great experience. The flavors profiles in the food were perfect, our cocktails were delicious, even waiting for our table was a great experience. We were met by a cocktail waitress and also by someone passing hors d’oeuvres. My husband and I plan on being back for our ten year wedding anniversary and we can hardly wait.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at 1845 Steakhouse. Our server, Erika, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We ordered the tomahawk steak for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive and complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommend this place for a great night out with excellent service and incredible food. We’ll definitely be back!
Great food. We had a large group of 15. The wait staff handled us very well. Matthew and Janet were amazing. Very attentive to everyone's needed. The porkchop is one of the best I've ever had. The blackened red snapper was awesome. The cheese dip appetizer and the quail were great. I did not get to try a meatball, but was told they too were amazing Overall, it is a great place for a large or small group, a business meeting or an intimate date. Thank you for a great nice.
Actually went for a sales presentation. So this will not be a full review if I went just for dining. We had the filet & mashed potatoes. Also the blackened salmon with jalapeño Mac & cheese. Both were cooked to perfection. They both were delicious. Our waitress was excellent. Very nice atmosphere. Would go back to experience the true dining experience.
The food was amazing and our server Grace was great! Me and my friend got the burger and shared the blueberry crumb cake and it was outstanding!! The reason I am rating it 3 stars is because of the hostess. I went in with my friend at 7pm and one of the hostesses, Astrid, looked me and my friend up and down when we walked in with a snobby look. She then proceeded to look at the other hostess and start laughing. Not a great feeling when you come in a nice restaurant. Other than that interaction everything else was amazing and I have no complaints!
It's okay. For $100 per person it needs to be great. Food was good. Steak was more chewy than tender but flavor was there. Service was a little weird. The first bartender that greeted me said "are you good?" Like no my dude a drink and a menu would be nice. He got me a water and the menu. The next bartender, the one that ran my tab, was way better and more polite and checked in a couple times after another one got me a drink.
