The shrimp tacos are a must as is the table side guacamole. One of a few restaurants in our area that has Modelo Negra, the super cold draft accompanied the shrimp tacos nicely. They have a nice selection of drinks as well.

Really enjoyed Mena's Grill Tex Mex Cantina. Service here is better than average, they make a real effort to please their customers and we appreciated it. They let us choose where we wanted to sit and then delivered attentive and prompt service. The menu is loaded with many delicious options! Our selections were really tasty and the fresh guacamole that was prepared right at our table was superb! Found the portions to be generous and the pricing to be very reasonable. This place is a winner, will definitely return!

They have a new breakfast menu and it’s amazing! My kids especially loved the pancakes. The staff was very nice and friendly especially Juvenal- such a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Chips are the best I've ever had! Hands down the best! Salsa was nice. Ceviche was an excellent portion, and the flavor was fantastic! Drinks were made fresh! Live music was delightful. The atmosphere was inviting, nice for comfort! Bar was open to the room. I would definitely recommend this place. I'll be back to try more.

This was by far one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. We went on a Thursday afternoon and had exceptional service. I ordered Juniors Plate, my date ordered the Enchilada dinner, and we got the sopapilla for dessert. Our drinks stayed full. They quickly replaced our empty chips and salsa bowls, our food came out quickly, and dessert was delicious. The bathrooms were so clean and even had fresh flowers in there. It was such a change of pace from all the artificial things other restaurants use. I can't say more positive things about this place. We will definitely be returning!

This location is always a pleasant Tex-Mex experience. The food consistently comes out quick, hot and tasty all for a great price. The drinks are well made and the atmosphere makes for a perfect brunch hangout or nice dinner date. We greatly appreciate the 5 star service as well. Most recently we had the pleasure of being helped by Mariano and Elmer, who were very kind & attentive. Gerardo and the rest of the staff have made sure to make us feel welcome each of our recent visits. We will certainly be back.

Great food and good service. I liked the tex mex burrito. Waiting time and service was on point. Steak was also good. Good place for mexican and tex mex style cuisine. Will return soon. Also the desserts were delicious and big portions.

On my first visit here, I brought my mother, who was visiting from out of town. We came on a Monday after work (around 5:30 pm) and were immediately greeted and seated. Our waiter arrived promptly, bringing an awesome energy and was super friendly, helping us with drink and food recommendations. The food was excellent! My only small complaint was with the drink—I ordered the Old Fashioned, and it was a bit sweeter than I would have liked. But overall, I’ll definitely be back. Plus, happy hour all day on Mondays is a major bonus!

The menu is very nice and has many options! The atmosphere is very chill but also live and has live guitar music and great songs on the speakers when the guitarist is on a break! The drinks are AMAZING!! And the service was fantastic. JASMIN OUT did herself on attentiveness, accuracy and she had wonderful feedback and suggestions on the drink menu (which is very exclusive and worth checking out!) They even have margarita flights!! The bar tender was astounding, and is very well articulated in the crafting and taste of the cocktails! Best of all, it’s not an overpriced place for some stuff you’d be able to find in a strip mall. The food, quality and service are very great and the prices are very reasonable!

Stopped by at this scenic location for dinner on a Friday everning, a few weeks ago. I must say that the location is very central and easily accessible. The ambience was also great with live music and service was great! We ordered some brisket quesedillas, chicken enchilladas and a shrimp platter. The food was average and very uninspiring, taste wise. Would I go there again.....probably not as there are better Tex Mex joints around the corner that serve better fare.

Now don’t get me wrong we love this place. We come from Fort Worth just to eat here. The cocktails are delicious the food is good. We always have a good experience but whatever you do don’t order the mole shrimp enchiladas. For the price of the plate this is all the shrimp you get in one enchilada. That’s awful. I went to the Menas in Carrollton and had the mole shrimp enchilada there first and they were delicious and a good amount of shrimp that actually looked like shrimp. I don’t know what the heck happened here at this restaurant in Flowermound!

I have visited this location twice the the first visit made me wanna come back and the second visit made me want to patronize regularly. I thought yesterday would be third time a charm however when trying to place my lunch order the phone line got disconnected. I tried calling them back 3 times with no answer. Finally i called back a fourth time & the lady who answered stated the phones lost service. It seemed like they would have tried to call you back as a courtesy since you're trying to give them business. I ended up going to Anamia's because of the meal selection I decided on. Today I decided to try here again and the customer service wasn't too inviting. The lady did not know the vegetables that came with the veggie fajitas which is not an issue however I believe if we don't know something, you should find the answer when you are employed to help customers with ordering a meal from your menu. I bought up the fact that I saw it had more veggies than she had told me on the online menu and she tried to say I asked about enchiladas. She said mushrooms were in the fajitas which I can not eat and I asked if spinach could be substituted and she said there would be a charge. Normally places are more accommodating and I may have not mind to pay the charge however the experience up to this point wasn't welcoming so I decided not to bother. Anamia's said they can substitute mushrooms with spinach in their veggie fajitas. There price is more however the portion is great as well as the customer service!

Lunch service on a Thursday, came with a family of 5. They were incredibly dismissive and the amount of gaslighting was incredulous. Server brought out the wrong dish, insisting this is what I ordered. No refills on water or salsa despite repeated requests and the restaurant not being busy. Racial profiling or terrible service? Not sure but we won’t be back. Would not recommend.

I ordered 2 house margaritas during happy hour. I asked for an extra shot because the margaritas were very sweet and basically undrinkable. When I got the bill I was charged $7.50 for each house margaritas and $14.00 for each extra house brand tequila shot. I complained to the waiter and the manager and was told they would not change the price.Thats $43 for 2 house margaritas. This is complete bull crap, price gouging, and unbelievable stupidity by a restaurant where I use to eat weekly. Sadly, I would never reccomend anyone eat at this establishment! There are lots of options for Mexican restaurants in Flower Mound. I would suggest you never eat at Minas Grill at Lake Side.
