Opinions de Foxy Brown Fort Lauderdale
French onion soup, brussels sprouts, bacon wrapped dates, churrasco, and all the cocktails were phenomenal! We came here a few nights ago to try out the spot for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with the quality, prep time, service, and pricing. Highly recommend this spot. I will be back here soon!
So it was my birthday and my girls decided to take me here for brunch. Let me just say it was my first time going and I will definitely be going back. The chicken and waffles was amazing! We sat outside because it was such a nice day but the atmosphere inside is just as beautiful.
We stopped by because a friend said it was good. We were really impressed with the food and service. They just had good quality food that gave you exactly what you were craving. And the service was on top of everything. Our dishes got cleared constantly, the waitress Kelly gave us a sticker, and they had a nice extra touch with the steamed towels in between meals. I guess they knew I was gonna make a mess with that burger..
Cute spot in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Plenty of parking in a few side parking lots. Walk over to restaurant. Plenty of seating outside on a nice day out with doggies, inside begins with a trendy bar area. Cute tables everywhere. Menu is delicious, and kitchen is open and busy. Foodie flavors made ud happy. Thanks for a lovely meal. Tempura Green Beans - delicious !! Pancakes Eggs benny Fresh Biscuit with homemade jam and butter Grain Bowl with fruit

Perfect place for brunch! Service was great, food was all amazing, and drinks were good as well. The vibe is super chill and plenty of space. Parking is less desired but that's to be expected for downtown Ft Lauderdale. We parked next door in the grocery store lot and had no troubles. Specials were phenomenal and they change their menu each weekend from savory to sweet. Something for everyone for sure!
This place was fantastic. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all outstanding!! My wife and I were here for a few days getaway and decided to stop by after it was recommended. This place did not disappoint. We were greeted by the hostess and seated quickly. The waiter was great. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. The atmosphere was also great. It wasn’t too loud, but just the perfect mix of music and people chatting. If you’re ever in the area, please give them a chance, you will not be disappointed.
Yes. Where the locals go. Owned by the same group as Top Hat, Lunchroom and Chowders. Never to disappoint. Foxy Brown moved to this location after the pandemic previous location is now the Katherine (recommended). Weekends brunch is a foxy brown tradition. Make reservations. Over the years I’ve eaten everything on the menu. You can mod any dish. Caesar salad is split and grilled with your choice of protein. Some friends eat the roasted chicken every visit. Try the pasta dishes, chicken pallard, short rib sandwich, french onion soup. Mabel’s chicken, The sandwiches are amazing. The standard menu has remained pretty much intact and tweaked over the years. The formula works. Tuesday and Wednesday are half priced bottles of wine.
Great spot for consistently good food. Relaxed and casual vibe, we usually sit at the bar. The bar tenders are always friendly and talkative, a lot of locals. I’m obsessed with their honey rolls that are offered during dinner service. They also have a good happy hour. Great place for dinner if you’re in the area. Outdoor seating that is dog friendly.
A wonderful night at Foxy Brown. Our server Robert was over the top and manager. Amanda even stopped by to see how things are going. Good food, good value we will definitely keep coming back.
Everyone was so wonderful and friendly. Server Alyssa was nice. My family had a great experience. My chicken and waffles were fantastic. My mother’s eggs were great. The green beans tasted fresh and al dente; the garlic aioli was tasty. Also, the portions were generous.
One of my besties and I (Maria) met for brunch! We were fortunate to have Kelley as our server! Not only did she greet us with a smile and very happy spirit she made certain that everything we ordered was to our satisfaction! The food and drinks were yummy but the service was OUTSTANDING!! The next time you’re here ask for her KELLEY!! You won’t be disappointed 🥰
What a great place! We went there for New Year's Brunch. Great menu, lots of great stuff (hard to pick one thing!). Great service from a nice young lady named Bella, she took very good care of us. They even give you a large mug of coffee when you order coffee. We will be back to try some of the other great menu items!
Kelley was a lovely waitress! She was able to get me a healthier side of breakfast- much appreciated! I had a nice time with a nice breeze on the patio!
Outstanding Service by Robert Robert provided an exceptional experience at Foxy Brown. His customer service was truly outstanding professional, attentive, and warm without being intrusive. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect throughout the morning It’s rare to find such a high level of professionalism combined with genuine care for the guest experience. Robert is a true asset to the restaurant, and his service elevated the entire day. I will absolutely return and request him again. Highly recommended.
Foxy Brown in Fort Lauderdale was overall a great experience. The greeting at the front could definitely be better, it felt a bit suboptimal and unwelcoming, but once we were seated, everything turned around. Anna, my waitress, was excellent. Attentive, friendly, and on point the entire time. She really elevated the experience. The food was outstanding. I had the hanger steak hash with chimichurri hollandaise sauce, and it was honestly 20 stars out of 10. Absolutely phenomenal. If they tighten up the front-of-house greeting, this place would be close to flawless. The kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing.
Nice vibe very good food. Rainbow trout was meaty and delicious. The patty melt (their specialty) was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. If you try it you'll like it.
Always a wonderful visit! The staff is great, along with the food and libations! They have a great brunch and Happy Hour as well. We typically sit at the bar, but any spot, inside or out is comfortable. Definitely ask for their specials!
One of the best breakfast places I have ever been in my life! Eggs Benedict had so much crab and adding the potato to it made it so much better! The bread pudding French toast was beyond amazing! The biscuits and gravy wow!!!! The service and my server were so warm and friendly! Very impressive!!!
Stopped in late night had a few appetizers. Food was really good and so were the drinks. Service was attentive and the place was clean. I would recommend and return.
Wonderful dining experience with my family at Foxy Brown. Everyone loved their dish. We will be back soon.
Enjoyed my visit. Niki was outstanding. She knew the menu very well and helped us choose and make modifications according to our tastes. With my grain bowl, I asked for chicken sausage rather than pork. Totally transformed the taste. My partner got the steak hash. The steak was moist and well seasoned. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty. Not over seasoned. Would definitely return.
Foxy Brown in Fort Lauderdale is a laid-back spot that serves comfort food with a fun, modern twist. We went for dinner and loved their creative selections. The portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade but elevated. Our favorite dish were the Beef-a-Roni and Patty Melt. Their apps and desserts are not to be missed! The space feels cozy and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to, whether for weekend brunch or a casual dinner out. I've been to Foxy Brown twice this year--first for a solo brunch in February and then in September for my friend's birthday. While the ambiance and overall vibe of the restaurant were great both times, my experiences with the food were mixed. Both times, my server made excellent drink recommendations and was very attentive. During my first visit, I was excited to try the banana bread grilled cheese, but it ended up being a disappointment. The Nutella flavor was overwhelming and overpowered the dish, making it less enjoyable than I had hoped. However, my second visit was much better. The chicken and waffles were delicious--perfectly cooked and flavorful--and the drinks were a definite highlight of the meal. Foxy Brown has a unique menu and a lively atmosphere, and while not every dish was a win, I'd still recommend it for a fun outing, especially if you're in the mood for good drinks and classic brunch staples done right.
mmmmmmmy God what a frickin meal had the donuts with cereal milk, crispy bean things, and classic breakfast plate.. boo and i enjoyed 🙂↕️ oh and our server soph(ie? ia?) was cool as hell 😎 ty xoxo

If you love mussels this is your place to go, they have one of the BEST MUSSELS in all Fort Lauderdale. I would recommend all mussel lovers to give this one a try. The ones in tomato sauce are spectacular and it’s a big place enough to share with a love one.
This is an excellent place to gather and eat. Food is scrumptious 😋 and the atmosphere is inviting. Great for brunch on the weekend with the girls and lunch date. I'll be back.
We hosted our class reunion event here for dinner and couldn't have been more impressed. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the entire staff was professional, attentive, the manager made sure we were good to go before she left and I thought that was very nice of her. Everything ran smoothly, and our large party felt well taken care of. The atmosphere was perfect for night of good food and laughs. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to host a special event or gathering and I will definitely be back with more events

I came here for brunch, and while the service was top-notch and the atmosphere was nice and inviting, the food unfortunately didn’t live up to my expectations. The staff was attentive and made us feel welcome, but the dishes lacked flavor and authenticity. Again the service and aesthetics was great, but the food just didn’t deliver.
Food was delicious! A bit of a wait but it was Sunday at 10am- that was to be expected! However while we waited... we chatted so... I enjoyed! Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the Mimosas (peach and orange). It could’ve been the alcohol 🍷 used to make them but next time... I think I will try the Sangria! Bartender/Server was okay.. not really engaging. With it being our first time there (and telling her), she still didn’t recommend anything! But that’s okay- I looked around and think next time, I will order donuts with cereal milk and chicken and waffles! And Sangria. 12/20/20: I decided to go back and give it another try! I was seated pretty quick in comparison to last time! Fork was dirty so I opted for plastic! No worries! I understand, sometimes they just won’t come clean in dishwasher! Natalie was my server!! AWESOME!!! She truly made the experience positive! I asked about the foster pancakes and she warned me they had plenty of sauce on them! I get them, taste them and thought they were HORRIBLE! I was okay with paying and leaving.. in a positive manner because it was not then who made me order those- I chose to order them! Natalie told me no way I would have to pay for them and asked what could she bring me! I chose the French toast because I had eaten those last time! Delicious 🤤! Thanks again Natalie for turning the experience around!!
I used to go to Foxy Brown when it was a hole in the wall on Broward and Federal. The food has always been good and the service has been top notch. Though this last time we went there was a bit of a hiccup because the short rib Benedict was downright bad. It lack seasoning, the eggs were cold and the English was this weird rubbery texture. I thinking this is a one time mistake since their food is usually good. The White Chocolate French toast was delicious. The biscuit and gravy is one my favorites though the biscuit can be a bit too much at times. For dessert I had the Key Lime Pie which was good but pricey. For dinner the Mabel’s Chicken is one of my favorites. Food at The Be Nice Group of restaurants are usually good with great service.
Place was pretty empty on a Monday afternoon but it took a while for anyone to even bring water. Service was a little slow but the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was ok but a little pricey. Short rib grilled cheese was tasty but hard to handle. Garlic fries were delicious. Mom's patty melt was a little undercooked but still good. My daughters enjoyed their crab cakes and mamas chicken. Mac and cheese was really good. It is worth going back to try their brunch in the weekend.
We haven't been to the new place since they moved years ago. What a beautiful place and double the size of the old restaurant. Went before theater on a Saturday night at 6:30 and the place was packed. Very nice menu and wine list. My wife wasn't that hungry so she just ordered the French Onion Soup, topped with swiss, gruyere, and provolone. Huge portion and she really enjoyed it. I opted for the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp with basmati rice and grilled sourdough. Full of flavor and worth trying. Looking forward to returning.
This is actually my first time at this location which is new to me. Honestly I do like the intimate vibe which it had in their first location. Service was great! As for vegan options there isn’t much. This girly still wants to go out with her friends that aren’t vegan and still have some options. What I did do was get the poke bowel without the salmon and added the brussel sprouts. That was delicious.
Loved it. I'd give it five stars if "I enjoyed my drinks and meal and service no" were the only criterion. Everyone around me looked happy on a Monday night, so all the food must be good. If this relocated to my NYC neighborhood, I'd be a regular.
Good restaurant to satisfy some cravings, portions are huge, however, the taste is affected by the size of their portions. Food can be either really good seasoned or not. Service was friendly, but not organized. Although our server was assisting multiple tables and some of them of the larger size, it was clear that other staff needed to make an effort to ensure service ran efficiently and smoothly. We could see people hanging around in their phones by the kitchen area while we waited for someone to check in our table. Overall, the potential is there.
4 of us went here for Sunday Brunch, we arrived at 2:30pm just in time to miss the Brunch Rush, we were seated instantly. The place was easy to find. The decor is very modern with dark undertones, yet bright areas as well. It's very interesting. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating. Mary was our server. Ask for her, she was very knowledgeable and explained the menu well. The food was delicious. We shall return.
Trendy, modern feel with a bar in the center, inside and outside seating. It was nothing special, but it wasn't bad. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly. The menu was a little too rich/ sweet for my taste. Would have enjoyed a simple pancake or French toast option. The service was fair, but nothing special.
I attended brunch with a few friends. The setup of the restaurant is nice. We each ordered something different and, although pretty overpriced, everyone enjoyed their food. The chicken and waffles were good, but I was shocked to see that it came with only 3 wings (3 flats actually). The biscuit and gravy was way overpriced at $14. It was explained to us that,"the biscuit is big". It wasn't big enough to justify costing $14! But, I will say that it was good because of the gravy (way too much gravy though). The Hangar Steak Hash offered a decent sized serving. It was filling and very delicious. The Cock-A-Doodle-Doo and The Plate were also enjoyed by members of my party. We arrived at the tail end of Brunch being served and were very pleased with how quickly our food arrived. The kitchen closes at 3:30pm to prepare to begin cooking the lunch/dinner items at 4:30pm. We took a look at the lunch/dinner menu and saw some items we'd like to return to try.
Reservations recommended because they always seems to be busy. The server was attentive and greeted with the specials. It was half off bottles so we got a bottle of bubbles since it was new years eve. We got the French onion soup that had a delicious cheese blend and overflowed with flavor. The wing sauce was a bit on the sweet side which is to be expected when they are Maple bacon but the bacon chucks were a scrumptious topping. We were brought fresh, warm towels to the table that were wonderful after the sticky wings. My wife and I also shared the Patty melt which was tasty. We would happily come back again.

I came to dine at this place years ago before they moved and absolutely loved it, so I was excited to order from them again. Unfortunately, I was beyond disappointed with the food this time around. I ordered the chicken and waffles. And for $16, I expected a decent portion and proper presentation. Instead, I got 3 small wings thrown on top of a waffle--definitely not what you'd expect from a classic chicken and waffles dish. Usually, it's served with tenders or at least a thigh and a wing. These wings were poorly seasoned and lacked flavor. And the bacon? I didn't even remember it came with bacon because it was barely visible. I expected at least two full strips, or a good amount of chopped bacon, instead it looked like they threw on half of a burnt piece just to say it was there. In my opinion, they need to either update this dish or completely remove it from the menu. It has to be one of the worst chicken and waffles I've ever had. And I honestly cannot believe that a restaurant with such a good reputation would look at this dish and actually serve this to their customers. That said, the service was great. I sat at the bar and everyone was beyond nice and attentive, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the quality of the dish just didn't live up to expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it.
I did not like the scrambled eggs at all, definitely some type of powdered eggs used. Egg Benedict needs work its lacking in taste and quality. Overall bland food.
Customer service and atmosphere was great however the food was just “Okay” and nothing to rant and rave about. We ordered shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles and pancakes. I’m not sure that they use any butter or oil in their dishes because the waffles and pancakes were the most driest I’ve ever tried. Not even the syrup made them any better. As for the chicken on top of the waffles they were okay but the dryness of the waffles overshadowed the taste of the wings. The wings are not breaded so if you are expecting a breaded chicken, beware. As for the shrimp and grits, just “okay” as well. The menu mentioned “tiger” shrimp. Don’t expect the “BIG” tiger shrimp, instead expect the baby ones. Just wasn’t big enough for the amount of grits. The grits to shrimp ratio was definitely wrong. I like my grits a little creamy but these were far from creamy. Just regular ole grits. The gravy was good and seemed to be a cream based gravy. Overall, great atmosphere and service but the food was just okay. Would I return? Probably, but not for breakfast. Would give them another try but for lunch or dinner.
We had eggs Benedicts for brunch. Short ribs and crab cake versions of it. They were okay, plain taste. I somehow preferred IHOP eggs Benedict better.
Customer service and atmosphere was great however the food was just “Okay” and nothing to rant and rave about. We ordered shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles and pancakes. Came in expecting a great dinner, but left disappointed. While the service and ambiance were very good, the food seriously missed the mark. The fish and chips were bland--the fish and batter had vi…
Friendly staff and efficient. Ate lunch just after it opened for the day, so wasn’t many patrons at the time we were there. Food was ok, just not exceptional
I've wanted to eat at Foxy Brown for some time and was looking forward to this brunch. The restaurant did not match the hype for us. The food was not bad, but nothing memorable except the avocado t…
It’s almost 2026. How does a “brunch” restaurant in Fort Lauderdale not offer iced lattes? That alone sets the tone. Foxy Brown markets itself as a vibe, but the execution falls short. The menu is surprisingly limited, and the lack of any real gourmet coffee program makes it feel dated rather than curated. If you’re calling yourself a brunch destination, coffee is not optional. That said, credit where it’s earned. Alyssa was hands down one of the best servers I’ve encountered in Fort Lauderdale. Attentive, warm, and truly carrying the experience. The donut holes were a solid 10/10. Being able to dunk them was elite behavior. The biscuit and gravy with a Cajun twist was even better. 11/10 and genuinely memorable. Unfortunately, great bites can’t fully offset a narrow menu and a brunch spot that somehow forgot brunch culture. Divas, do yourself a favor and look for better options. This isn’t it.
