TLDR- Nice, clean restaurant with a large menu suitable for groups. Delightful staff and delicious food. We stopped in here because I wanted breakfast and my husband wanted lunch. He got the salad trio with the dill chicken salad, egg salad and shrimp salad. He thought they were all good and it was hearty enough to fill him up even after a long travel day. It was a lot off food so it could easily be split if you don't have a big appetite. I got the BLT avocado toast which was perfect- crispy bacon, perfectly fried eggs. We also got something called a potato knish which is new to me- it's a Danish style dough with mashed potatoes inside and it was delicious! Our waitress Sereena was lovely and gave great recommendations because I just couldn't decide. We even got a side of hilarious g-rated jokes from Karl that really made the breakfast extra special.

Rosa was our server while dining here. I've come here often because the food is incredible and delicious. The service was perfect. I had a breakfast sampler that included scrabbled eggs with cheese, home fries with peppers and onions, sausage, bacon, toast, and a waffle. It's the best best anywhere. We also had a turkey Ruben which was absolutely delicious. It came with seasoned fries and a big pickle wedge. I would recommend eating here if you've never tried it. You'll be hooked. This happened to me and it's why I keep coming back.

✨ Hidden Gem Alert! ✨ I stumbled upon TooJay’s while waiting on my flight home after a cruise — and wow, what a find! This place instantly reminded me of my hometown deli. 🥪 The vibe is classic and cozy, and the display case full of fresh baked treats was impossible to resist. I couldn’t decide between the Reuben or the Pastrami, but went with the Pastrami — and it did not disappoint! The meat was super flavorful and the Artisan Rye bread tasted fresh out of the oven. Our server Rosa was amazing — friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. 💛 She even got us a great table and kept the meal flowing perfectly. If you’re ever in the area, TooJay’s should definitely be on your must-try list. My only regret? That I only got to eat here once! Already looking forward to coming back next time I’m in town. 😋

Found this hidden gem next to our hotel after our cruise and boy what a treat. I had the cuban and I must say, it was one of the best cuban sandwiches ive had. Rosa was our server and she was great. Very attentive.

I grew up going to TooJay’s—it’s always been a legendary staple! Coming back feels like stepping into a piece of home. Rosa was absolutely wonderful—quick, kind, and so pleasant to talk to. This was my first time coming here before work by myself. When I arrived, the guy at the entrance greeted me but didn’t take care of me—he seemed more focused on the larger table next to me. We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant today. We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. Originally went by first watch but it was a bit full and we hopped over to great restaurant. We had a great waitress who just got started. Her name is Rosa and I suggest you ask for her on your next visit! We order the Nova lox tower for two. Sometimes when you order locks, it doesn't come with enough but this Tower was well stocked! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good bagel and lox in the morning. It was a wonderful experience and I would come back again to order this. It also comes with mimosas if you want! Overall, very happy with the experience and the wonderful service that we received from Rosa. I will definitely be coming back here again.

Great energy from the second you enter the store. Jennifer is amazing, had the best attitude even at the very end of the night. The general manager Carl came around constantly checking that everything was good and had great jokes through out the night. We had soup, egg salad, tuna salad and pastrami. Everything was great. Got a dessert to go!

Perfect location in the heart of Dania shopping. I had the Shepards pie and banana dream cake; everything was perfect and Jennifer was the perfect server! I’ll continue coming back!

We stopped in to TooJay as we were staying at the Embassy down the street. We had a larger party and they did not seem prepared to serve a full house on a Sunday morning. Either way, they were kind, and the food was delicious. Only complaint is that service was a bit slow. The breakfast sandwich on the bagel was delicious, as well as the pancakes. All of us really enjoyed our meals. Will be back when in town again!

Rosa was amazing. Food was great too. Chopped chicken liver was exceptional today where sometimes I come in and it’s like paste. The recipe needs to be a little more consistent. But today was perfect!

TooJay's Deli was a great place for a sandwich. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was Delicious. My wife had the Greek Salad, it was a gigantic salad and very tasty. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was a little quite which was nice and the prices are really good for the amount of food you get. I would recommend trying the mustard they have on the table too. If you are ever in the area, you should definitely stop here for a bite to eat!

Highly recommend the onion rings, fish and chips, and carrot cake. The deserts here are better than Cheesecake Factory. Less sugar, home made, and delicious.

This was my first time trying TooJays. We went for breakfast. I got the breakfast sandwich which was MASSIVE. I could hardly get a full bite of everything I’m at once. The bagel was super fresh and so was the ingredients on it. The fruit was fresh. It’s quiet in the morning which was very relaxing. Our server was awesome. She was very attentive to our needs. Really solid breakfast.

We came for dinner on a Monday night. It was very quiet and nearly empty. The food was great (we had the Philly grilled cheese and the beef brisket dip). Rosa, our server, was wonderful. Her and another server, Stacy, were very sweet and great with our toddler, who just wanted to explore everything. We had a lovely time and were very satisfied. We would definitely come back.

Really great pastrami sandwich. Only thing to make it better would have been if rye bread were grilled and had sauerkraut added. We were not greeted by anyone though Jennifer and the deli counter person were 1 foot away as I went by quickly to the restroom and my husband waited. But then this very short old man took the privilege to scold me as I sat in the round table area. He came and yelled out at me “didn’t you see the ropes!!!!??? I said no, I came this way. There’s no ropes there! But Rosa saved the day by being the best waitress in the world! So attentive, explaining details of the menu and all! Another couple was behind us. They witnessed the great service by Rosa too! The food was great! We live in Las Vegas and came early for our cruise but we stayed nearby hotels and loved it here. The carrot cake was a bit dry otherwise A graded!

The drinks at TooJays is good quality and delicious. The one that really caught me off guard was the Finnish long drink. It really felt like drinking water with the essence of orange and lemon. Doctor browns soda was very good a classic black cherry. The Rachel was delicious the tots were perfectly cooked, just needed a touch more of seasoning.

I went to Toojay's for the first time and my Server Jennifer was so pleasant and nice I enjoyed her recommendation on the strawberry lemonade and I also got the Chicken and waffles because it was breakfast time when I got there I was amazing I will definitely be back when I am back in Florida thanks Jennifer for such a great enjoyable breakfast and thanks Toojay's for having such great staff ill bring some friends when I come again I will recommend when I come back to Diana Beach Fort lauderdale.

Everytime I come here, there's something better to try. Today's better was the Turkey Cranberry Griller Sandwich and it's definitely a Yessss! It was so tasty with sliced Turkey, arugula, swiss cheese, herbs, cornbread stuffing, and a little dab of gravy on wheat bread. Amazingly delicious elicious from the first bite to the last! I trust her judgement. Actually, her recommendation was the main reason I ordered the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich. I'm so glad I did. We just flew into Ft. Lauderdale and wanted to eat where the locals eat- this place is highly overrated! Not even a busy morning- but took a while to just get a cup of average coffee for $4! We just flew into Ft. Lauderdale and wanted to eat where the locals eat- this place is highly overrated! Not even a busy morning- but took a while to just get a cup of average coffee for $4! Servers were hardly seen, 3 of us split a large omelette and the Bananas foster French toast..plenty of food- but again, just average.

Should have just left when we were seated outside by a gentleman who seemed to hate his job and then waited and waited for a server to appear. Server appeared, took our order and the food came out pretty fast. Well, most of it. For a business that promotes their pride in their matzoh ball soup you would think they would be able to prepare it and serve it timely. We ordered avocado toast, nova potato pancakes, and matzoh ball soup. Server dropped off the toast and pancakes and said she'll be right back with soup. About 10-15 mins later she yelled to us your soup is coming. We were done eating. Told her cancel it; we're done eating. We were seated outside. She yells down the sidewalk I can give it to you to go. If I wanted it to go, I would have ordered it to go. And you're yelling down the sidewalk?? How about an I'm sorry. That would have gone a hell of lot further than you offering to pack up my soup when you or the kitchen cleared failed. Or hey, we failed, please take the soup on us. I'm not one to look for free stuff but an apology or something to acknowledge the experience was not great would have helped. Nah, she just drops off the check. One more reason I can't stand chain restaurants. No one really takes ownership. The avocado toast and potato pancakes were good.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a TooJay’s, which was shocking given their usual standards. The service was horrible from start to finish, and the food was extremely subpar. We waited 35 minutes for eggs, which is completely unacceptable, especially when they arrived only lukewarm. The bagel was semi-raw, not properly toasted or cooked at all. This is not what anyone expects from a restaurant known for comfort food and consistency. What made the experience even worse was the interaction with the manager. Instead of offering an apology or trying to make things right, he became defensive and rude, barking at us that other customers had come in at the same time and that he had a “full screen of orders” to deal with. That’s not an excuse, it’s poor management and even poorer customer service. Between the long wait, poorly prepared food, and dismissive attitude from management, this location has seriously missed the mark. I’ve had much better experiences at other TooJay’s, but I won’t be returning to the Dania Pointe location

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was very unpleasant. We went with our two children and my husband, hoping to enjoy a nice family meal, but it was extremely disappointing. We ordered grilled cheese sandwiches, and they tasted like old, reused oil, as if the oil hadn’t been changed in weeks. I ordered pancakes and received only one pancake, and it was burned. My children couldn’t even eat their food. My husband and I ordered omelets, and they were very dry and overcooked. But the worst part was the biscuit — it was so hard that we couldn’t even cut it with our hands. I honestly don’t understand how food like that is served. I was really excited to eat here because I had seen many ads and recommended this place to my husband, but after this experience, I have no desire to ever return. My husband tried to speak with the manager, not to ask for a discount or a refund, but simply to share feedback and suggest something basic, like changing the oil. The manager refused to come out and speak with him. Going out to eat should be about enjoying good food and a pleasant experience, and sadly, this was not the case at all.

Awful Morning at Too Jay's - What Happened? I usually hit this spot every couple of months because the food and service are pretty good. However, today was a totaI disaster. I ordered the Waffle Slider, and the kitchen completely failed. Both my bacon and the potato latkes were burnt to a crisp. On top of that, the water tasted incredibly strange, almost chemical or like flat seltzer. I pointed it out, and the server offered a lemon slice to remedy it. I asked for a fresh glass, and it still tasted off. The service was the worst part. Our waitress started by greeting us with a promise to rush and take our order before she served a "big table." Then, we overheard her telling a coworker they were out of house champagne for mimosas because a table was complaining. This total lack of preparation showed up again when we couldn't even get Swiss cheese for an omelette. While taking our order, she was constantly looking away at this "big party," forcing us to repeat everything multiple times. After she finally got the order right, she actually said, "Oh, it looks like I lost that big party because I took your order first." We should not have to listen to her workplace drama! And when the food finally came, she forgot the basics: no syrup or butter for the waffles. We asked for the syrup, she brought it. Then we had to ask for the butter, and she looked annoyed we realized it was missing. I also watched a nearby couple wait 20 minutes without being acknowledged before they just got up and walked out. Conclusion: This visit was completely unacceptable. Everything from the quality of the food to the completely distracted, unprofessional service was a fail. I’m thinking twice before coming back now.

As someone who is a former waitress of over 10 years this staff needs a full on upgrade. Let me explain why... My husband and I went to eat here for lunch on Saturday afternoon. We walked in and the gentleman at the bakery counter (was one of the few nice and professional people we met on that day) guided us on where we can go seat ourselves. We sat down and our waitress Rosa was very kind at first, asked us for our drinks etc. Made sure to enter my 4 year old food first. Now my husband ordered the chicken sandwich and I ordered the Cuban sandwich and instead of fries, sub Matzo ball soup with a peach tea. Easy right? My sons grilled cheese came out great, he enjoyed it and the fruit. Now when my food got there the entire top of my bread was black. Burnt to a crisp. I told the waitress "I'm sorry but this burnt I cant eat this" Instead of saying "Oh I'm sorry I'll get you another one" which is proper etiquette for hospitality. She replies with "Well its a grilled sandwich" I look over at my sons GRILLED cheese and the bread was "brown" not BLACK. I explained to her I am pregnant and this will make me sick eating burnt food like this. She just looked at me snatched the plate and walked to the back. Strike 1 She brings back my sandwich. It had yellow cheese and they just switched out the bread. So I ask if my sandwich was supposed to have American cheese as it said Swiss on the menu. "Oh we're out of swiss". Didnt bother to mention it at all which wouldve been helpful. There were also fries on the plate, no sight of my soup. Strike 2, asked for my soup 10 minutes pass. My peach iced tea? Not yet to be found Strike 3, she finally brings it over after 15 minutes saying "they had to brew it" you could've advised me from the get go. And the kicker of the entire meal?! I find this grayish, light brown hair in my sandwich! I wish I took a photo of this before sending it back. Rosa then says "I dont know how it got there because our cooks are bald". 😒 Lightly insinuating it was one of us yet my husband doesnt have grayish hair and my hair is dark brown. It took several times for her to check back in on us before we got a "Sorry for your experience". My husband even had to get a manager to come to our table. We were severely disappointed as we used to frequent this establishment but now I will not recommend ANYONE go here. If you are in the area go to Padrinos next door instead. Atleast their waitresses and staff aren't rude or sarcastic and actually care about the customer.

Everything was fantastic! Food was amazing, staff was very friendly, and the overall vibe was great! The only issue i had was how HOT it was inside. I have TWO underage kids and they were sweating profusely. It seemed like there was some sort of AC issue because there were AC units placed around the store. I feel like this issue should be addressed ASAP. It is 90°, upwards of 100° sometimes, us people need a place to relax. Overall, other than that, wonderful experience!
