We enjoyed the Love Shack! If you like greasy burgers, flies and a chill place to hang out, it's got a nice laid back feel. I thought the spot was really cool. There wasn't a band while we were there but they were setting up so that might have even been better. I don't like self service personally but they were pretty quick with the orders. I can see myself craving a burger from there one day again.

I went on a Monday afternoon for lunch. The burger was pretty basic but the fries were very tasty. I don’t need to go back as I’m sure I can get a better burger on the same street. Might be better if there is live music if I come back.

Little spot in an alleyway between two buildings on the main drag at the stockyards. Burger was nothing special, French fries were soggy. I was the only person in the restaurant and food order took 20 mins. Lady working in the front counter was nice.

Went here during lunch hours during the holiday, and it was pretty dead. I was the only one there. The hostess was very sweet though, and recommended a few things. I got a burger, chips, and some chicken tenders. The burger was ok, nothing to write home about, not much flavor, especially for the price. But I did like how the housemade chips came out warm. The tenders weren't that impressive in flavor, but were hot and juicy. I understand the atmosphere was going for a rustic vibe, but the place seemed dirty. Dirty tables, floors, etc. Which was interesting since there didn't seem to be any rush to keep things clean. The layout of the place was odd, but figured they were mostly drink/bar focused, and not so much food based. They have live music which is nice, maybe they're busier more towards the evening? Overall, it's fine to grab a drink or something, but I wouldn't go back just for the food, and a bit disappointed with the cleanliness.

Walk up bar you can get a drink Togo right on the street. Super friendly and fast service. Came back later for some live music and food. Music was great. Should have skipped the food. It took forever to come out, like an extremely long time. Onion rings were like a ball of grease, burgers were cold. They have a mushroom vegetarian burger option. I think it was a fried mushroom, it was just like flat and greasy.

The GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY! I really wanted to love this place BUT… So first the GOOD: I loved the street atmosphere which has a rustic street Café feel to it. The prices are very reasonable, considering the location and proximity to the cattle drive on exchange street. Now the BAD: we waited 27 minutes for a hotdog and hamburger with fries. There were five customers in front of us and the place was barely occupied. The food was not even lukewarm. It tasted like it had been sitting for at least 15 minutes unattended. My hotdog was so cold that the cheese they sprinkled on top of it never even melted it. The chili on the hotdog had no flavor whatsoever. The hamburger was average, but it was definitely cold. It seemed to us that they waited on the french fries to get done before they served the meal and that’s why everything was cold. We didn’t bother to complain because we didn’t have 27 more minutes to wait on another round. Finally the UGLY… I would definitely skip this place. It’s unfortunate because I really did like the atmosphere!

We chose this place based off reviews and pictures. We enjoy fresh cut French fries and fresh onion rings. Upon arriving at the location, there’s a huge menu out front. Then as you enter, it’s an open air seating. It was a nice day, so it was nice to sit outside. However, we sat close to the stage, which smelled of cleaning solutions, over wet surfaces and urine. So not sure if there’s a homeless problem, but perhaps they were trying to mask the smell. It was not pleasant to smell while eating. Unfortunately, a group with two moms and a handful of loud young girls decided to take up 3-4 tables. There was seating above, but my husband would not have been able to do the stairs. Anyway, we sat and I opted to just place my order online and then get it when ready. It seemed to take the couple a while to order that we passed as we walked in. The est. time was 25 min. As we waited, about 15-18 min in, a note popped up in the app stating “there was an error and something about a refund”. So I walked up to check if there was a problem. I stood there a little over a minute because the guy never looked up and couldn’t hear me. Thankfully a vendor saw I had been waiting and got his attention. The guy checked the order and it was bagged and just sitting there. So not sure how long it was sitting because I didn’t receive notification it was ready. The food was warm. But a bit soggy from sitting in a steamed bag. I was not impressed by the burger. It had a sour taste to it. The fries and onion rings were ok. Overall, I would have preferred to spent my $30+ at a restaurant and perhaps a better meal. I take some responsibility for the restaurant choice and seat location but I was being optimistic considering the reviews. I usually take pictures of the food, but I guess I was in a hurry to get out of there, that I didn’t.

The food and packaging was horrendous. Service was pretty dry and not entertaining or energetic. We were never asked how our food was, or how we were doing. Food came half-ass wrapped, and wasn’t cooked fully. Certainly not the best experience I’ve had. Im not sure if it was just the day, but trash was more or less everywhere. Old beer cans and cups covered the roof on the balcony, and condiment wrappers were on the deck floor.

We thought it would be fun to try a local place while visiting the stockyards. Sadly we should have read the reviews first. The dirty love burger did us dirty. Flavor was okay but it was undercooked which we didn’t realize til we were halfway through. We both got food poisoning and ended up sick for several days. It ruined our vacation having to spend it in the bathroom.

This is a very cool place. Staff is friendly. But that's it. Friday for lunch it was not busy. They said 15 minutes for burgers, fries, and nachos. It took 45 minutes. Worst nachos I've had in my life. Extremely slow kitchen. Only reason to eat here is because of location. Anywhere else it would close up in no time

I knew this was a mistake as soon as I tried to order with the girl up front that had an attitude from the very start. Maybe my fault, but I ordered a burger that I thought had mushrooms ON IT, which turned out to be entirely of mushroom with no "burger" about it. Why not have it on a separate vegetarian menu instead of the burger menu?? I got onion rings just to receive tiny strings of clumped up onion slices in batter and in return, again, horribly rude servous to fix the unsatisfactory experience. My husband and I came in here with excitement due to the apparent atmosphere but left disgruntled and searching for a new place for dinner although we paid full price here...save yourself the money and just go somewhere else.

If you want to go for beers and live music, then it's a great spot. DO NOT get the food. Not worth the wait. We were told 30 minutes, took 54. The fries and onion rings must have been ready at 30 minutes, because when we got them at 54 minutes with our burgers, they were cold (not even lukewarm). Nothing special for anything either. The cold fries and rings are generic. I got the dirty love burger- the sauce has no flavor, the egg wasn't enough for the burger, and the burger had no flavor. Maybe the spot for some day drinking and listening to music, but that's it.
