Opinions de Riscky's Steakhouse Fort Worth
Parking is always a pain here, as it's located at the Fort Worth Stockyards. We arrived at noon and were seated at a table in the bar area. We didn't have to wait for seating. The bartender was also our waitress. She was extremely nice, but she wasn't able to maintain bar orders and service her tables well. She's served us before, and I didn't fault her. I think the tables and bar was too much for one person. We ordered ordered cocktails, and they were good. I had a Sampler Platter as my meal, and it was very good! My wife had a Ribeye Steak, that she thought was ok, but not noteworthy. I also got an order of Calf Fries to-go. They're are absolutely the best here and was the reason we had lunch here! I just like this place, and we'll certainly come back!
Entering Riscky’s Steakhouse you felt immediately you were in Texas. The atmosphere was very welcoming and warm. Staff were very friendly and our waiter Tyler was very informative when asked about the menu. Food was delicious, the steak I ordered 10oz flat iron steak was done to perfection, and the stuffed shrimp jalapeños were tasty, although would’ve preferred a bit more kick to it. Had the Michelada as a drink, they rimmed the glass with salt, although I asked for tarjin, overall very happy with it all, I recommend this place.
You won’t be disappointed. We will return. Upscale / casual Steakhouse. Steak: prime quality, tender, juicy, full of flavor. The wet 21 day aged steak is unbelievable fill with flavor. Cooked to precision. The corn was exceptional. Service was top notch. The ambiance is set back in time. Established in 1927, same family owned. A step back in time, Riscky's has become a steakhouse legend in Texas. Hours Sunday to Monday : 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Tuesday to Thursday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM Friday to Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
My husband and I had such a great experience. It was the best meal I’ve had in years. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. It’s a little pricey, but totally worth it.
Came down for the Cattle Drive, then it was canceled... Then we saw Ricky's steakhouse and what a great experience. Hostess was great and our Service was amazing!! I will comeback!! T-Bone Steak will not disappoint!! Highly recommended!!
I sat at the bar. Party of 1. Suzanne took care of me. Super friendly, great spirit and service. I loved the western decorations. The building has an energy about it that vibrates as soon as you walk in the door. Shelbster delivered my chicken fried steak, she's hilarious, and I bet a bit of trouble lol Another young lady got me my other beer, I think Alle was her name on the badge seems like a sweetheart. Lots of good energy from the staff at the front... servers laughing amongst each other. It's nice to see employees enjoying themselves on their job. My only complaint no Televisions! There is one but it was small and in a corner out of view and when I looked at it was on a screensaver. I bet if there were more televisions, and having them on, the bar would be busier. Good prices for the portions.
Shelby R. Yes Yes Yes best server I've had in YEARS Professional, polite and so well spoken. Great recs great convo can I take her home with me Alle gave us our food also super friendly. Host had us sat immediately. Valentines meal 20/10 service. Vibe. Food.
This place was so good! My husband and I had the catfish, my son had a 10 ounce ribeye, and another had the BLT. Everything was excellent. Our server Christian was amazing also! The place was packed, we were a party of eight, and she still gave us impeccable service. Definitely recommend (and ask for Christian).
Great food, fantastic bar service and and very friendly bartender and servers. They found out it was our anniversary and brought out a delicious desert. People that were there were also very nice locals like ourselves so it was nice to still have a local hangout in the midst of a tourist location. Very lively time for sure.
We came here during my boyfriend’s birthday an early Thursday. It was amazing!!! Our server, John convinced us to try the steaks. We got two ribeyes, baked potato, fries, and a bottle of stockyards stampede! Everything was delicious and we also got to enjoy the phenomenal peach cobbler for his birthday. John took great care of us, he was hilarious and quirky! He even offered to take our picture since we’re from out of town. Such a great experience, thank you!!!
Ricky’s Steakhouse in Fort Worth is an absolute gem! My family and I were visiting from Florida. Our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Right from the start, there was no wait, (not that it wasn’t busy it was. They have ample seating. The outside is doesn’t so it justice), which set a positive tone for the evening. The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was cooked to perfection and served promptly. The drink selection was impressive and complemented our meals beautifully. We couldn’t resist trying the desserts, and they were truly mouthwatering—definitely a highlight of the meal! Our server, Gregg, was exceptional. He was personable, attentive, and made fantastic recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is charming, reminiscent of an old western town, which added a delightful touch to the evening. If you find yourself in the Fort Worth Stockyards, I highly recommend visiting Ricky’s Steakhouse. Our family left thoroughly satisfied and excited to return. You absolutely will not be disappointed!
At Riscky’s Steak House, the chicken fried steak is a delightful comfort food experience. The dish features a generously sized, tender piece of beef, perfectly breaded and fried to a golden crisp. The rich, creamy gravy adds a luscious touch that complements the savory flavors of the steak. Served with classic sides like mashed potatoes and green beans, it’s a hearty meal that satisfies. The ambiance of the restaurant enhances the overall experience, making it a fantastic spot for a casual yet fulfilling dining outing. Highly recommended for those craving a taste of Southern comfort!
Great place for food! Generous portion and very good price. The decor is awesome too. We had the soup and salad combo, hamburger with fries, and the kids had the grilled cheese ($5!), and the ribs ($8!) kids meal. You'll want to check out the different decor they have throughout the restaurant. Definitely recommended!
The greatest thing to ever touch my mouth. I got a 22 ounce t bone steak. The service was top notched everything my table got was insanely good.

We stopped in after watching the Fort Worth Stockyard’s afternoon cattle drive, what better place to order a steak than at the stockyards. Mrs. Gunner ordered the bone-in ribeye while I went after…
Take it from a native Texan - I know good authentic steak and chicken fry! Warm, friendly pure Texas atmosphere - located in the heart of the stockyards. A lunch Celebration for my husbands birth…
Calf fries were very good. Our waiter, Greg, made sure to check to see if we knew what they were before we ordered them (which we did know previously). The tenderloin I ordered was indeed tender and properly seasoned. Probably the best steak I’ve had in a looong time. I wish I had another handful of fries to match the other person at the table who ordered regular fries. Only took a star away for the atmosphere. Walking in and while sitting, there was a strong cleaning odor. The inside reminded me of Cracker Barrel. Prices were extremely fair for a tourist area.
We come to Ft. Worth once a year for a weekend conference and we've tried many restaurants in the Stockyards. This year we decided to try Risky's. I had the 8oz Buffalo Sirloin medium rare. It was cooked perfectly but could've been hit with a little bit of salt. Darian was our waitress and was very kind and helpful when asked about the food I was debating on having. She was very attentive with making sure our food was good and making sure our drinks were full as well as making sure we had a great experience. I'm pretty sure we will be coming back next year and hopefully she'll be our waitress again. Overall we had a great experience. Thank you Darian. I hope that management acknowledges you with the great service you provided.
Pretty legit place in the stockyards. Had lunch and can recommend most of the items we had. The appetizer platter was good. The tenderloin on the lunch special was great. The ribeye was just ok. The broccoli cheddar soup was a bomb. Definitely worth checking out. Service was not bad as well.
This was definitely a risck….(risk) The customer service was amazing, atmosphere was nice, music was playing low. Maybe it just wasn’t their night but the food was just meh… - jalapeño cheese curds had no jalapeño flavor or spice… 🧀 - The catfish really had no flavor and the sauce that it came with was super onion-y… 🐟 - The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare , and was a standard good ole steak… 🥩 ❤️ - My Diet Coke also tasted super off 😖
The atmosphere was nice, it was decorated like an old western street scape. There was no wait. We were able to get right in. Granted, it was a Tuesday around 1:00 pm. The food was good. You could cut the chicken fried steak with a fork. We got the bread pudding to go. It was good, but it was definitely not worth the $10 price tag (it was basically fresh bread with a caramel sauce. Our server was not fantastic. It almost seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder. All in all, I'm glad we went, but I probably don't need to go back.
Look let me tell you that this restaurant is Great just a few issues that I had with it when I visited it recently. It was packed enough that we had a 1 hour wait to get in which wasn't an issue. What I ordered the Ribeye with steak fries was served on a plate plain looking and the fries were dry. I also asked for sautéed mushrooms to be added but what I got can be described as mushroom soup. As far a the service well our party of 3 had mistakes made with our order. On my order after the waitress went down the list of the soups of the day I asked for Broccoli cheese but, what I got was potato soup. I ate it and it was very Flavorful. I had a Coronarita that was Very Good. The restaurant is large with a Bar offering many drink choices. Look I've been to alot of steakhouses in Ft. Worth that serve Ribeyes swimming in butter or with sautéed onions something then just put on a plate very plain. I asked for medium well and I got that but I was disappointed especially for the price.
Atmosphere was great. Cool ambiance for someone like me being from out of town. Very impressed with the blackened tilapia! The portion size was huge and the sauce with it was delicious! The steaks we ordered, ribeye and top sirloin, were nicely cooked, tender and juicy. Not pictured were our side salads which leave the plates looking a little empty. Unfortunately the shrimp stuffed jalapeño poppers left us a little wanting. I had a different idea in my head so the presentation was a little disappointing. Picture shown eaten 3/5, not the full order. Had a newer server so things moved a little slow, but the manager helped them out. We weren’t in any hurry so it wasn’t a bother.

This place serves the absolute worst chicken fried steak known to god or man. I can't tell you how any of the other entrees were.\n\nOur server was very nice.

We stopped by on a Friday around 2pm. We chose this place because it was a convenient walk within the stockyards and after reading the reviews, it looked like a good choice. We got the lunch portion 10oz Ribeye but the steak was just OK. Got it done medium and it was soft and good flavor but I'm not sure the portion that was served was a ribeye meat as it looked and tasted different from steaks I've had at other steakhouse. The meat had a lot of stringy fat, maybe that's what it was but not sure if it was fat or stringy tendon. The texture with the stringy meat had me wondering if it was put on a grill or only juiced with smoked flavor for the meat that's what it felt like. It was unpleasant to eat. The baked potatoe had crispy bacon bits tastes like McCormick packed ones- which leads me to think this restaurant takes short cuts. I was honestly confused. I thought I'd get a better cut off meat at a steakhouse. The lunch portion is $19 maybe that's why? But we still ended up paying around $70 for two people with drinks, sides, extras. The menu says you can add a salad to your meal for $3 which we did and when the waitress brought our receipt we were charged $4. Not a big deal but we did notice that overcharge. We went to Terry Blacks the next day for great BBQ brisket, sausage and sides for around the same amount with left overs to take home. We probably won't be returning here. The restaurant lighting is very dim inside. The decorations are nice and it does feel like an old town saloon when you walk in. But I prefer to eat good food over interior design.
The atmosphere was great. Love the rustic look. The mixed drinks were also really good. Love the selection.\n\nThe food was way overpriced, but tasted fair\n.. Could have been better for the price,…
While visiting Fort Worth, this was our least favorite restaurant and the most expensive one we visited. The atmosphere was nice, but the food quality was not worth the price ($150.00).

Good location in the Stockyard area. staff is only average, atmosphere is cowboy old. Food is only average, also. Stan was tough and overcooked. Will not go back!
3 of us ordered and they only brought 2 of our entrees. They didnt bring my food and the other 2 people in our party had finished eating by the time I got my food. They completely forgot about me somehow. The food was ok but the service was terrible. I guess it is riscky to eat there afterall.
Unfortunately our experience was less than great. We were a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 children, aged 7,8, and 13) we did not have a wait time to be seated. However we were seated in a section of where it was warmer than the whole restaurant. Our server was not attentive very much a, "could care less" attitude. We got our drink order taken and waited a while for our drinks (no alcohol) the soft drinks were ALL flat, the sweet tea was good. The food was nothing special. We waited 45 minutes for our food. The kids steak was overcooked when we asked for medium rare and it was brought out well done. The ribs were very tough. The Chicken fried steak was bland. The top sirloin was ordered medium and was brought out between a rare and a medium rare. The kid's chicken steaks were fine. The French fries were good. Over all definitely not worth my time or money.
the flat iron steak was the worst and most expensive steak I have had, horrible texture, couldnt eat it, the sirloin was good
Honestly don’t recommend this place!!! We knew it would be a good wait so we waited an hour and a half and was very disappointed when we got our food. We got the “twosome” a meal for 2. My husband got a steak a carrots that was HARD and not cooked all the way through and this was mine. The portion sizes are SAD. $130 later and that was it. Will not be back!
