The food and atmosphere were fantastic! The food tasted amazing and fresh. I was able to customize my order to my own liking which is awesome. I ordered the honey glazed chicken with 2 sides and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. I will be sure to come back again :)

Very nice experience here. We came with a large party and the service was fantastic. They have a nice brunch menu. I had the steak Benedict with the lobster sauce. They should just call it hollandaise, because I didn't taste lobster, but it was really good. I wish there was more sauce and I could have probably asked, so not knocking them for it. The portion was big, especially for brunch. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal and drinks. The rest room was clean and so was the whole restaurant. Good vibes all around here. I would definitely return. Also, parking was plentiful. Great experience all around.

Incredible and delicious food. Steak was amazing and I suggest trying it with the mushroom blue cheese sauce. Sirloin was tough for a medium and they had no problem fixing the issue immediately. I actually went twice in the day. Lunch time at the bar was a bit chaotic but dinner time at the bar was wonderful..I definitely suggest having 2 bartenders during lunchtime when it's busy however the manager stepped in to help a little which seemed like great teamwork.

Firewood grill is really good they have a pretty good service , they are attentive and make sure to check-in you every 5-10 mins u loved that , we had their chicken pasta it was really good , and my fav was their onion rings.Can improve on local beer draft menu .Cool place to grab a dinner on a weekend.

First time at this location. We had the tomahawk porkchop...amazingly delicious, steak tenderloin very tasty, burger for my kids which he devoured, and salmon...all great. The complimentary bread was ok...if they had maybe another type of bread it would have been really good. Waitress was very helpful and asked us lots of questions. Being more personable. Price is a little hefty. Nearly 150 for 4 people.

The portions are great if you are hungry! The food overall was good, I had the shrimp and grits and it was good but the shrimp wasn't seasoned at all. The lemon cake was really good for dessert. The bartenders did a good just keeping up with drinks on what seemed like a busy night throughout the resturant.

Food: Under flavored especially for the cost. Good portion size though. Atmosphere: Quiet, dim, relatively comfortable. Parking and access easy including for handicapped. I expected more flavor for the cost. I went out with family to get a meal that would be more invol to make myself, but ultimately wasn't worth it. No compelling reason to return other than they can support larger groups on shorter notice.

Food looked really good but didn’t live up to my expectations. The pork chop was a bit salty and tough, and street corn bland. The carrots were the best part of my dish. My wife’s salmon/lobster dish was not hot. The lobster queso was good tho. Our server was fine and the atmosphere was was pretty good. I enjoyed my peach drink, my wife’s passion drink had no passion, so to speak.

Service was exceptional. I don't think we ever had to ask for refills. Food was delicious but 20 plus for burger and a small portion of fries is too much. I got the garlic butter sirloin and tots. Steak was good but 30 for meat and a hand full of tots is not a great value. Restaurant was dark and drafty and the restrooms are unique to say the least. I suggest lunch or brunch at this restaurant over dinner.

⭐️⭐️—Just a sad decline at this place. My wife and I have visited Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in other locations and have always had phenomenal experiences. So when we learned one was opening right here in Frederick — close to where we live — we were genuinely excited. This location opened in December 2022, and after the initial surge of popularity died down, we made our first visit. That experience was excellent. The food was delicious, the steaks were cooked to temperature, and everything overall met the standard we had come to expect from Firebirds. Fast forward to our most recent visit at the end of 2025, and unfortunately it’s safe to say this location has gone downhill for us. The decline has shown up in both dine-in and takeout/delivery experiences. We tried delivery a couple of times early on, but after having our order messed up both times, we stopped ordering takeout altogether. As for dining in, the issues have been consistent. Either my steak or my wife’s steak has not been cooked to the proper temperature, and each time the seasoning has been noticeably lacking. The steaks have come out bland and flavorless, to the point where we’ve had to add our own salt at the table or ask for compound butter just to bring some life to the dish. Our last visit was the final straw. We were seated extremely close to the restrooms, and the odor coming from that area was overpowering and unpleasant. I mentioned it to a member of the wait staff, who said he would “see what he could do,” but nothing ever came of it. I eventually had to close a propped-open door myself just to help reduce the smell. To make matters worse, while we were being seated, three waitresses in that same area were openly discussing — loudly enough for us to hear — who was going to take our table, with no one wanting to. The all agreed to pawn us off on another waitress who was in their group discussion. Hearing staff argue about serving customers, right in front of them, was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Food-wise, nothing improved. My wife’s steak was again bland, and this time I ordered a burger to see how something different would turn out. Unfortunately, it was just as disappointing — lacking flavor, with a bottom bun so soggy it had no structure left. I ate about half and stopped. This is honestly disappointing, because Firebirds as a brand is a restaurant we enjoy and have had great experiences with elsewhere. Sadly, this Frederick location has not maintained that same standard. Because of the repeated issues, we won’t be returning to this location. That said, we’ll absolutely continue visiting Firebirds when we’re traveling in other areas — just not this one anymore.
