They're a little understaffed like everyone, so be patient! The food and drinks are worth the slight wait! Great beer selection and Growlers available for their home brews
Loved the buffalo sandwich. The house IPA completed the experience. & the last piece of the wife's corned beef completed the next day's breakfast nicely.
Really nice environment and food. I am a vegetarian, so was not sure if the vegetarian food will be good or not. But surprisingly everything was really tasty and good. Service was also outstanding. Will be going there again.
We ate outdoors. It was our first time eating at a restaurant in a year! We enjoyed our meal. The food was hot and tasty. It's traditional pub food. I had fish and chips; my husband had a club sammich. We both liked the fries. My food came with all the fixings, malt vinegar, ketchup, and tartar sauce. There was also a side of cole slaw which was really, really good. We've gone to Jack's a lot before the pandemic and the food is the same as before. Our server told us the entire staff had been fully vaccinated. That made me feel good. The thing that was most exciting was that Jack's serves diet Coke instead of Pepsi! Haha Definitely go to Jack's!
Fantastic place. Great beer selection, even better food. Awesome atmosphere! Definitely feels like the local hangout. Highly recommended!
We tried a monster sampler platter, jalapeno poppers, and beer. Food was good, all types of beer are right. My personal favorite is California IPA beer. Good ambiance, comfortable sitting, and enough parking space. It's situated in a prime Fremont location.
Nice place! Beer was OK.
Highly recommended for everyone. They made everything so simple.
The food and environment were excellent. The vegetarian food concerned me, because I am a vegetarian. Fortunately, everything I ate was really good. I was also very happy with the service. I would certainly go back there again.
I had the fish and chips and it was delicious, highly recommend. There was live music that night and the guy was very good, sorry didn't get his name.
Stopped in for a quick bite and to do some work on my laptop out on the patio. Guest Wi-Fi was fast enough for me to take a Zoom video call. Garlic fries were very garlicy- delicious.
Had a good time there with my boss, I really think we got a deal on the beer. The grapefruit-IPA was awesome it did not have the usual bitterness of the IPA just the usual bitterness of grapefruit. Went down smooth 4 beer laters I think I will get a good review on my raise!!! Thanks Jack’s
This place has always been a go-to chill place to grab a beer, get some good food, and watch a game. The best part, the service is out of this world! Claire makes you feel like family. Every. Single. Time. See you there!
Really great service got the salad with meat. Sorry, I forgot the name highly recommended
Been there twice. They have a great seasonal double IPA, and I tried both their hamburger, and their fish and chips. Both were very good and reasonably priced. Service was fast, and friendly.
Came here for lunch on a weekday. It wasn’t too loud or crowded and the service was great. I ordered the fish and chips, and they were great as well!
Excellent service! Pick up service to automobile in parking lot was excellent! The young lady who delivered to my automobile was quite charming and friendly! I've done this before and I will definitely do it again!
Great place to have some drinks with friends and watch sports
This a a great gastro pub in Fremont. Excellent customer service, wonderful selection of in house brewed beers on tap, full bar and good selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Food is great predominately American faire. This is good spot to take in a 49ers game or whatever sport is in season. Definitely recommend Jack's Brewing to anyone looking for a great meal and welcoming atmosphere.
Fun and very friendly atmosphere. The food was served hot! I noticed our server giving some love to a pup on the patio, so bonus points from a dog mom. I highly recommend Jacks, check em out!
I had the fish tacos . They were suprisingly GOOD. Jacks is open for outside dining during the Covid outbreak. They have seating on their patio or even in the parking lot if you want even MORE social distance ! Food was good, beer was good. The wait staff were on it !
Best thing about Jack's has always been the friendly, impeccable service. As a vegetarian I can't rate all of what they serve, but they have good fries and the salads are pretty good. And their house brewed berry cider is AMAZING.
Great place to grab a burger and a beer, great, quick service, good food!!! We are definitely coming back!! Carl was so attentive, friendly and quick with our orders.
We had a Ducati owners club gathering on a Friday night in their little side parking lot. The staff was excellent at handling the orders, especially with all of us walking around in mingling and not sitting in one place. This was a favorite place of our friend, Kev I had the G.O.A.T. Carnitas 'burger'. Twas excellent!
Wow!! What an incredible experience at Jack’s. I was blown away by the service I was provided with by a young lady named Bridget. She was exceptional in understanding how I wanted my order and she checked up on my table at the perfect times. She gave me good advice on the entrees and on the drinks. Shoutout the cooks as well! Will be coming back soon , thanks Bridget! 😃
Amazing service and amazing people one of the best restaurants. They are always so nice and even though it's crowded it's just amazing
This is a very comfortable place to eat, lots of booths with window views, can watch what's going on at shopping center. Perfect way to take a break and relax during a shopping trip. Good place for talking with friends, not noisy. Has bar if you want to sit there. Friendly service. In warm weather can sit outside, very pleasant.
On a busy Saturday lunch, Devin took amazing care of my family and I. Fast service, drinks replaced before even finishing, finished plates cleared quick, and even brought out a dessert for my husbands birthday without asking. Food was fresh and delicious too! Thanks Devin!
Great place, great service, staff is absolutely amazing. Unfortunate Truth I found in some places, watch out for some of the regulars. Was very unhappy that I atempted to input any statement rather than sitting quietly and listening to their wonderful stories. Great if you like to listen to old white guys talk about their great times. Don't try to interject your own stories they don't want to hear it. Again staff is great so if you want to sit at a table and be amongst your friends awesome place.
Great for a quick bite, and prices are reasonable too. Will definitely come again.
The food was really tasty, the service was great. The woman that owns the restaurant helped us pick menu items and a delicious dessert: their bread pudding, which was outstanding. Definitely worth it.
This place is a hidden gem! Love the live music and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend the fish and chips. And they have a surprisingly great wine selection to go along with their hand brewed beer!
Sunday brunch was a good deal. Around noon it wasn't very busy. Great service, felt taken care of but had enough space to eat and converse. Great beer and steak was cooked perfectly!
The new owners have really done a GREAT job revising the menu. They added black bean patties so there is a vegetarian option. All the produce was super fresh, the buns are new and fresh, and the oil the fries were made in was fresh!!! The beer was good as well. They have outdoor seating which is awesome. We will be coming more often!!!
Fremont Hub is not the most exciting of destinations these days, but Jack's makes it worth the visit. 15 months after change of ownership the house brews are still very good (Dark Sexy Cara Wheat this time). Food is still good. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Plenty of parking, dog friendly patio. I only get here a few times a year, but it's always good.
Our group of 5 loved Jack's!! We went for a celebration dinner, our server was amazing and attentive. We made it for happy hour, the place was packed but we sat down within 10 minutes. The owner John came out and talked to us he is a stand up man. About the food, it was great and flavorful, we had pasta & shrimp, burgers and the meatloaf was tasty! The dessert was even better! We will be back! Thanks Jack's for making our celebration one to remember!
Food was good. Great dessert options like bread pudding and brownie sundaes. Nice selection of comfort food. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Prices very reasonable. They have a seperate room for events that can be reserved that can fit up to about 20-30 people.
Been here many times. Came for some Covid out door dining Updating as of 2/11/22. Under new ownership and updated menus. There are still most of the favorites although you can clearly tell the portions are measured. I guess that is to be expected. I really hope they start making their own brew soon. I wilm admit, the place is cleaner than I have ever seen.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jack’s Brewery (Argonaut at The Hub) is a solid spot — the fish & chips were proper grub: flaky fish, crisp batter, and those battered onion rings were a winner. On the beer side I stuck with my go-to Jack’s IPA and did the sampler. Favorite from the flight was the Porter — rich and smooth. Farmer’s Light was a bit too delicate for me (the blueberry one will have fans, just not my jam). The ESB was excellent. Big shoutout to Luis, my server today — great service and really took care of me. Also enjoyed catching up with owner Brian (met him at Burger & Brew Fest) — nice to see familiar faces. I’ll definitely be back soon for more pints and that fish & chips. #PaulEverHome @BayAreaWithPaul
Stopped by after work.. Ate at the bar, wonderful service by Melissa. Had a Buffalo Chicken Salad, filling and very good. Had 2 different beers, both very good and I travel all over CA to try beers. I also had to take back "the closer"... bread pudding!! I am coming back here every time I am in town!!!! So worth it!!!
Tasty food & cold beer! What better could you ask for? We had the buffalo wings & pastrami sandwich with a side of garlic fries. The food was delicious, definitely no shyness of fresh garlic on the fries, which was amazing! Cool vibe inside as well. This is definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m in any mood!
This is the first time in 15+ years visting Jack's Brewery. I didn't expect to stay long but that turned out to be 3 hours! I had a flight of four of their own beers, plus a couple of other tastes, all good and Veronica and the server whose name I didn't get. SORRY if you're reading this! I ordered their Peppered Pastrami with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut with a Dijon mustard sauce (otherwise a Reuben sort of) along with homemade onion rings. The sandwich was delicious and delectable. The bread makes the sandwich and I was told it was from a local baker. A fun time was had by all, me.
Game lovers paradise! I think they have a billion TV screens with every game on! Service is impeccable and the food is fantastic! We really enjoyed ourselves here.
Wonderful place for beers! Lots of craft beers in fact to select from and discover. For me, that afternoon I tried their "Unreal Stout" beer for the first time and thought it was solid. I usually don't drink malty alcohol but after this round I shall again. 🙂 Customers' food smelled good too but i didn't have time to try this time.

The quintessential neighborhood bar. Great conversation, friendly staff, regulars at the bar. The food and beer isn't bad either! Definitely a good spot to relax.
We have lived here for 7 years and had driven by Jack’s Brewing Company too many times to count. Today we decided to try it. The staff are incredible. The service is quick and friendly. The food is way above any expectations for pub food. The menu is varied, and you can tell they go the extra mile in purchasing food supplies in order to ensure a high quality. If you haven’t been there yet, what are you waiting for?
Nice sports-bar-style place with great Mexican food! Loved the lively vibe and the fact that they also have a kids-friendly menu. Perfect for families and casual hangouts.

The food and service is exceptional and the staff members go out of their way to please.
My wife and I like to visit this place on a regular basis. Good food (nothing fancy) but just good American food. Good drinks as well. The reason for 4 stars is the service can be slow and laid back. This is the one area they could step it up a little. Lots of TV's to watch sports. However we keep coming back.
I went there recently with a friend, there was only the bartender, no waitress. Maybe about 6 tables, as well as the bar. She managed each one with absolute ease and pleasantness. The food was excellent, and the price was about what I'd expect. Definitely would go again.
Stopped here for a late dinner & some beer. Both beers I had were tasty. The buffalo chicken sandwich was standard bar food. The place was dead, but it was a Tuesday night around 9pm, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.
On Sunday's, they have at least one screen showing each NFL game, and multiple screens for certain games. Plenty of seating so that you have an angle to the game you want to watch. The menu has some vegetarian items - what you would expect at a bar or American restaurant, but nothing gourmet. The atmosphere is fun.
Great beers brewed by Jacks brewing company. Food was not the high light of the place. Go for the ambiance, amazing services, and watch some sports on TV. Restaurant is dog friendly on the patio.
Didn't try the food but they did have a nice selection of guest taps (including Altamont's Maui waui) so you don't have to settle for their ok house brews.
Comfortable place to hang out, waited 15 minutes to get a drink but had a good experience while there overall
Great beer, had one, that they brew. Thick Hamburger, good taste. The fries left a litte to be desired, not all were crispy. But, would go back.
It was great! The service, the food the ambiance. We came at there slower time, so it was nice nothing seemed rushed. The waitress was great! We didn't catch her name, but she didn't need to jot anything down, as she is a very seasoned waitress/bartender.
Our server was awesome. She was friendly, provided true opinions on drinks, and very attentive to our needs. We got a burger, BLT, and the carnitas nachos. The only complaint was the carnitas on the nachos were very dry but wasn't a deal breaker. Would come here again if in the area.
Chill spot to watch the games on a Sunday with some good local beer. Definite Niner faithful crowd and many TVs to keep abreast of all the Sunday action and scores. That day was limited to 2 servers managing the bar and tables which resulted in a bit of a wait, but the staff are nice and ensure you get a quality draft pour despite how busy they are. I only had a couple beers, but will try the food for my next visit. Nice wooden bar and neighborhood joint atmosphere🍺🍔
My friend and I went there for a drink in the afternoon. Is our waitress was fantastic. We didn't eat, so I can't rate it five. I went back a few days later with friends. The food was great
Great pub food and beer. Lots of TVs for sports - again usual pub stuff. Service has typically been fantastic and they are super friendly and have a personality so Jack's scores BIG points for that! My wife and I are starting to go more frequently now as we have overlooked Jack's somehow.
Laid back vibes and wasn’t really crowded. Their beers are good and they are prices are nominal and I think the staff and owner really make everyone comfortable. I think I had fun and it was very relaxing, I will update this review after trying more of their food … so far so good ! For now it’s Good place will go back again ..
Went here to support them for restaurant week. Ordered the 4 beer and sliders special and I had the grilled meatloaf. Both were very good. Portion sizes are large. The meatloaf was very tender with lots of mushrooms and gravy piled on top of a large mound of buttery smooth mashed potatoes. The sliders each were grilled to perfection and had lots of flavor. They had a live band tonight playing all sorts of music from Country to Rock. Very lively environment but a bit dim on lighting. Plenty of parking and service was slow because they were short a server. But they still took care of us and made sure we were never forgotten. Definitely a great place to take your family or friends for casual dining that has a full sports bar on-site.
Jul 27 2024 Great music from the Fog and great beers!!!! The food looked good. Superb outside service!!! Needed more outdoor heaters. March 9 2024 7PM The last time we ate here, it was great, but something changed. The service was very good. The live band music was excellent and very enjoyable. I'm very happy they still serve Coca-Cola products. I ordered fish and chips with extra crispy fries. My fries were limp and not crispy. I asked to have my fries redone; the second batch was perfect. My fish was dripping of oil and not crisp. Fish was cooked perfectly. The pieces of fish were small. My wife ordered the Hot Peppered Pastrami sandwich with a salad. The insides were great and had a good-sized portion, but the bread was totally soggy. Her salad was not flavorful and was lacking. The beers and cider were excellent. We tried to order the pear cider, but they were out. Their computer gliched and added a dollar to each beer. The server was gracious and removed the excess from the bill and gave us a further discount. I hope the issue of poor food is not the norm because we like the place. Maybe a temporary cook, issues with the fryer and toaster, sat on the counter too long before being served, or whatever. I hope our next visit will be like before, very good.
We tried the cottage pie and the knock out burger. The burger was delicious. A very decent size and accompanied with fries. I really enjoyed the toppings on the burger and the meat was delicious and well seasoned. As for the cottage pie, the amount of food is very large, however the dish wasn't very exciting. Basically ground beef and mashed potatoes. Would probably refrain from ordering it again.
Nice quiet place to hangout early lunch or afternoon lunch. Sports bar and Jack's seasonal beers. Wine by wine small yet cool selection. Simple food, no frills food, like a pub/bar should be! Nice staff. Right here in Fremont hub area.
Been wanting to check this place out for awhile and finally got a chance to stop by for dinner. Tried the grilled meatloaf and it was excellent. I always worry about ordering meatloaf and getting a small portion. But these were thick slices of meatloaf that will definitely fill you up. The mushroom gravy and potatoes were excellent too. Excellent service too! The menu is pretty diverse. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes.
so i been here 5 times. order the same plates all the time. been here when its busy and been here when its dead slow. the food is great when its hot. when its busy the calamari is cold, under staffed, they try though.. its not like they are talkin away and not caring about the customers... hence the 4 stars. also... the fishs and chips here way better the most places... tried hog islands's fish n chips in sf.. that didnt even come close.. lol i do enjoy going there to have some beers, eat and relax outside. i am not in a rush when am there...

My friend had the meatloaf I had a steak burrito they have about 10 TVs in there so the sports is pretty cool and one large screen TV projector I haven't had anything else there to eat in a long time so I don't know how good really the food is so I only give it at 3 for now till I check it out further
Appetisers are good but getting out of hand as to the price. Nachos plate for over 20.00 with the tip? Tortilla chips, and some salad for 20.00?? Too much. Game is ok at home with beer and nachos at 3.50 instead of 20.
This place has okay food. Not great, but also can't complain. However, the restuarant is dark. We sat in the middle (light fixtures are only on the walls) and we needed our phone flashlights to read the menu. Service was alright too. Not very professional, but they're nice. Other than that the vibe was cool and rustic.
Service was great and welcoming, but the food... the food, smh. I got the meatloaf welcoming, apparently a local favorite. If you told me it was fresh I'd call bs. I've eaten a banquet frozen meal before, and this is what it tasted like. Mashed potatoes? Did you know you can put butter in it to make it taste wonderful? These guys didn't. Tasted very blah. But the peanut butter stout was good 👍
The food was only OK. The greasy onion rings were good at first, but a little too greasy to enjoy the whole serving. Enjoyed my chicken taco salad, but the wife's thai steak salad wasn't great. Also, wasn't impressed by the burgers the kids had. We were the only family in the restaurant. They have lots of TVs to keep up on all the sports going on at any given moment.
Visiting this restaurant was a last minute decision. However, it was a restaurant I was interested in trying because it always seemed to be busy. The day and time I went, the restaurant had a handful of patrons in it, most of them were at the bar, can't even recall if it was happy hour at the time. But it was nice to have a quiet atmosphere to just sit, relax, calm down and enjoy a small meal. Claire was the wait person I had, she was nice, helpful and friendly, especially since I was being indecisive between a couple of the dishes I wasn't sure to order. But she helped with that decision and it turned out well. It's a cute spot, plenty of seating and the prices are pretty affordable. It's located in the Fremont Hub so there is plenty of parking. Although just be careful when exiting the restaurant because the people who shop or visit that shopping center are NOT considerate of people walking to their cars, that selfishness and rudeness will ruin a person's evening or the evening/experience they just had or land them in the Emergency Room. Good things there are several hospitals near by!
Good place for a drink. They were short staffed on a busy night so I had to help the servers do their jobs. Not their fault. Management can do better.
Beers were great, samplers are a good option to try in-house beers. The food was ok. Would come back to try more beers and more vegetarian food. we had to wait 20mins to be seated, despite the seats being available, maybe because they were short of servers.

The garlic fries were average with good beer selection. The ambience was dark and didn't provide a good. But it could be due to the time of the day.

Fun place to hang out but the food is not good. Beer was decent, had their hazy. The waitress was very friendly and nice.
Beer was bad Wheat (boys of summer) - this was the only good beer. Tasted light and easy to drink Wheat (Dark) - this tasted like carbonated water with coffee. No substance Pale Ale (7.2% one) - this did not taste like a Pale Ale. From a Pale Ale you expect it not-too-sweet and not-too-hoppy - it's a blend of the two flavors. This tasted like a Double IPA, was turned off as soon as I tasted it. This was by far the worst beers on tap ESB (Pumkin) - this tasted good as a taster but after getting a pint it was thick in color and unfiltered. ESB (Extra Bases) - The spices were good but the grain combo was not. It could be that the base grains used in this were bottom of the barrel. IPA (Jacked) - hoppy flavor 1/5, grain flavor 2/5 Witches Brew - didn't taste as thick as what you might expect from a 11%, I'd give it a 3/5.
I went there and not as same. I ordered vegetable quesadilla as half and price lit high. I had one full quesadilla and good price long time ago. I notice roof need fix it and keep postponing. I will not go there again because over price for half plate sucks!
Went there with my partner. We ordered a beer, two soda waters (from water fountain dispenser) and a bowl of chili. We got the drinks fast, but after fifty minutes of waiting for the food, we decided to walk up to the bar and just pay and leave. They did apologize for forgetting about us, and went ahead and charged us for the beer and THREE DOLLARS PER GLASS OF SODA WATER FROM THE SODA FOUNTAIN. That's not how you get retuning customer after you forgot their food for almost an hour. ... Will never go back.
Beers I had were bad. Maybe it was a couple bad batch, but I'm not sure if I'll be back. I did not have the food . Bar staff seemed to be friendly.
Visited Jack’s Brewing Company in Fremont recently, and while the atmosphere and setting were quite pleasant, the food and drinks left a lot to be desired. The place has a nice, casual vibe with a spacious seating area—both indoor and outdoor—making it a good spot to hang out with friends or catch a game. The staff was friendly, and we were seated quickly, which set the right tone initially. Unfortunately, things started going downhill once the food and drinks arrived. I ordered the ESB beer, hoping for something flavorful, but it turned out to be very average—flat on taste and lacking any character that would make it stand out. From the food menu, we tried the Double Head Nachos, the teriyaki stir-fried veggies with added chicken, and mozzarella cheese breadsticks. The chicken was honestly the most disappointing part—it was incredibly chewy and tough, to the point where I eventually gave up trying to eat it. The stir-fry itself was drenched in sauce, but the flavor didn’t save the dish. The breadsticks reminded me of the kind you get from Costco, and not in a good way—just greasy, cheesy, and bland. The nachos were the only item that was somewhat okay—decent portion size and reasonably balanced toppings, but nothing that would make me want to order them again. Overall, Jack’s has a good ambiance and could be a nice place to unwind if you’re just there for the setting. But if you’re looking for good craft beer and quality food, there are definitely better options around.
One good thing about the place is live music/comedians . We went on a weekday to grab some beer. Service was quick, but the server was not fully informed about the beer selection. It was strange that a brewing place did not have any lager on the menu. Beer i bordered weren't that great & fries were not good as well. They have good outdoor seating areas, which may be nice to hang out in summer.
The one waitress really messed up our experience. She was so lazy or just had a bad disposition that when asked for menus she just said take it from the table next to us. Then the rest of the evening was more of that. No plates (had to ask), no ice, no glass... Had to ask for everything. We have no control on the tip either as it was already added because we are a group. That said, the other guy (who served the food) was nice. The stuffed quesadilla was nice.

I went there for first time and that was my last time too. Bartender/waitress was totally unprofessional, rude and annoying, It seems like she was working there for too long, so she don’t care for customer service anymore. Bar was not crowded, only few old guys here and there top of that her attitude keeping customers away from that business. Although beer was good and food was ok. Owner need a good professional bartender to take care of their business.
Sad I can't give them -5 . Today my friend and I went there, it wasn't crowed at all -some people at the bar and 2 or 3 tables- a girl took us to the table, gave us the menu and we sit. While we were deciding what to order a waitress came to serve the table that was behind us, it happened 2 or 3 times by that time we were ready to order but nobody came to our table, we kept looking to the bar to see if someone can come by ... The next thing I see is the girl who gave us the table talking to the waitress-who was happily talking whit a group at the bar- it seemed like she was asking to come to our table since he looked toward us, but nothing! he answered in a bad mood and went to the kitchen. By that time we're ready to leave. It was unbelievable, I'm actually wondering what's wrong with us, because it seemed like he just didn't want to serve us, or have a problem with us.... Sad part was supposed to be our first time at that place, seemed to be nice and we had heard good comments about the food. 😶
Came here for a quick couple drinks for our 1 year anniversary before seeing a movie. Walked up to the bar and a woman just said what's up and looked at us like we were knocking on her door in the middle of the night. We asked to order a couple beers and take them outside and the other waitress said she'd come outside and take our order. Why can't I just order at the bar? We waited outside for about 5 minutes before walking away. Came to Applebee's and are getting much better service. Won't be back.
First time being here. It was nice, clean, friendly atmosphere; calamari was good. But, we waited for 45 minutes, and our entree never made it to our table. The ticket was lost by the kitchen staff without follow up. It was enough to say never again.
Jacks has disappointed us yet again. We've gone there several times and Each time the visit was not good. We were there in the afternoon around 3pm and sat a the bar. Once we received our drinks and menus the staff forgot about us. There were only 1/2 dozen customers there at the time and the staff seemed to be more interested in what a car costs online via their phones versus the taking of our order. After 15-20 minutes we paid our drink tab and left for Chili's, which was a much better experience. Strike three and we are outta there again and for the last time....
