Excellent pho and store owner is super friendly knowing we will order just one bowl to share. Will definitely recommend the restaurant to friends and family.

My wife and I went to Pho Lan for dinner yesterday evening we’re delightfully surprised how amazing there Pho was!!! We hadn’t been there before but I am so glad we found it. We will be sure to start going there more often. We ordered the A-5 (Fresh Spring Rolls), the B-02 (Thai Iced Tea w/Milk) and 01 (Special Combination Beef Noodle Soup). We were not disappointed by any of our orders and fell in love with the combination pho they served. The broth and the meat all were extremely full of flavor! It didn’t need anything to supplement it to further improve on taste. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and especially toy fellow Pho lovers!!

Have visited this place four time since I discovered it two months ago. Love it. Very flavorful and tasty noodle soups!

So excited that there’s a new Vietnamese place in town! The veggie pho and beef pho were both excellent. We will definitely be back!

Came here based on photos, and was pleasantly surprised. Service was fast and typical family owned restaurant atmosphere. Fried egg rolls delicious, pho was in a big bowl not filled to the top enough room to add all ur extras! Soup flavor was outstanding, portions were great. Iced coffee tasted good. I would eat here again 100%.

Pho + restaurant made chili oil. Pad Thai and other noodle dishes were not so great, just get #1 regular pho, won't go wrong. The Vietnamese egg rolls were also good, could use more lettuce for wrapping though.

Friendly server that stopped us from over ordering when it was just two people. I really appreciated that! Vegetarian pho (#17) was perfect for a cold day. It was a clear but flavorful broth. Especially with all the sauce options on the table.

This place hit the trifecta for Pho. Hot flavorful soup, firm noodles and super super tender beef in think slices. The meat tastes like high quality cut and almost just melt in your mouth.

Clean, decorated, and spacious interior with an incredibly sweet and friendly family working who were very thankful and kind. We could choose our seating and had delicious pho broth - some of the best in the Bay - and egg rolls.

I just went to this place with my sister and little brother, and it definitely deserve its high ratings. As soon as you walk in, the aroma surrounds you, raising your expectations. And the high expectations do not disappoint. The food is really good; it makes you feel comforted and glad to have walked in. Not to mention, customer service and staff were friendly and fast with the orders. Truly, it was an all around great experience. It was the best decision for us to stumble upon this and decide to give it a chance.

Service was quick because we were the only ones that were dining in. Then 3 other parties walked in after we had ordered. The menu had a variety of vegetarian options and delicious regular vietnamese foods.

This place has such a great atmosphere. The pho has a flavor that I can’t find anywhere else. I am hands down a loyal customer. I support this family owned restaurant and truly hope for them to always be successful.

Finally, a good legit Pho restaurant in downtown Fremont area! We've been there twice and both time, the food was delicious! The restaurant was spacious with lots of tables so we were seated immediately. - grilled pork & egg roll over vermicelli (# 25): delicious! the pork was cooked perfectly (tender & not dry) and very flavorful. The egg rolls were crispy and gooood! - grilled chicken over steamed rice (#40): the grilled chicken piece was big. The meat was super flavorful and tender. - fried chicken over tomato rice (#50): just ok. the fried chicken had crispy skin but a bit bland (can use some salt) but the meat was juicy & tender. The tomato rice was interesting - not much of tomato flavor but was definitely had some flavor in it. Definitely will go here again to try different items

One of our favorite Vietnamese place. Ordered for delivery twice and taste has been consistent. Happy they have a vegetarian menu. Vegetarian egg rolls were fresh and crispy. Husband enjoyed the grilled chicken menu and prefer over rice than vermicelli.

My wife and I had dinner there last night and we really enjoyed our meal! She got bun bo hue and I got the combination vermicelli bowl with pork chop, shrimp cake and egg rolls. Of the dishes we had the vermicelli bowl was incredible - on the level of Pho Kim Long; generous portions and everything was super tasty. The bun bo hue was also tasty - wouldn’t mind it a bit spicier, and if you’re a fan of the pork blood (we are not) they don’t include it in this one. The noodles were perfect! We look forward to exploring more dishes here. Also and this is a huge plus, this is a mom and pop restaurant and I honestly think these owners care about improving. Their customer service was excellent and our meal was prepared quickly. We will definitely be back !!

Six of us spend about $22 per person for an excellent dinner there! Service is friendly. I like the #1 & #24, the appetizer #1 & #8 is also great!

Update: Delicious Pho #1. Chicken red rice was a little well done. Just noticed that they have crawfish/shrimp boil on the menu. Everything was cooked correctly and delicious. This will be my new go to place. Loved the reasonable prices. But please kill the personalized Vietnamese music. I know off at least two restaurants who shut down I believe because of their loud Vietnamese music and Korean soap.

Food was very good. Perfect for a cold weather and looking for something warm to eat. One thing is the utensils provided on the table isn’t very sanitary. Was trying to use a knife to cut my food and found it looking like it’s used and was put back onto the clean container. So sanitary is quite questionable but the service was absolutely nice. Very efficient and friendly.

Came here 2 times and I have to say that this place does not disappoint. Before my first visit, I was a little weary of this place for having "authentic" tasting pho & bun bo hue and now that I've had the chance to try both, I'd have to say that they're both pretty authentic. The only downside was that the bun bo hue did not have pork blood in it (which is my fave part). Both of the times I've come here it was on a weekend for lunch and it's nice because there usually isn't a wait. ~~Parking: It's located in a plaza like strip mall, but there's usually plenty of parking. ~~Service: Fair. ~~Best Part: The broths of the pho and the bun bo hue both taste pretty good! (I've had my fair share of bad pho) ~~Return: Definitely!

Very delicious and fresh. Loved the food we ordered. Quantity is also huge. We ordered special house beef noodles and grilled shrimp and beef on steamed rice. Reasonably priced.

Pho Lan, a true family-run establishment in Fremont, delivers exactly what matters most in Vietnamese cuisine: spectacular, authentic flavor and generous value. While this isn't the spot for a luxurious, white-tablecloth experience, it is hands down the best place to find truly delicious pho and rice dishes in the area. The primary reason to visit Pho Lan is the food, and they execute it flawlessly. The flavors here are deeply authentic, showcasing the care and tradition that only a family business dedicated to its craft can provide. The Pho: The star of the show is, naturally, the pho. The broth is rich, complex, and clean—the hallmark of high-quality pho. It’s clear that the broth simmers for hours, resulting in a depth of flavor that many chain restaurants simply cannot replicate. Whether you choose a classic rare steak or brisket combination, the meat is fresh, and the portion size is substantial. Beyond the Broth: While the pho is a must-try, the kitchen excels across the board. The rice dishes are equally noteworthy, featuring perfectly cooked meats and well-balanced marinades. If you're looking for Vietnamese food that tastes just like the dishes prepared in a traditional home, Pho Lan delivers. Pho Lan offers excellent value. The portions are notably generous, ensuring you leave completely satisfied. In an age where many restaurants are shrinking servings, Pho Lan maintains a commitment to great portion size, making it a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner without breaking the bank. It is important to manage expectations regarding the dining environment and service. As a dedicated, family-run operation, the entire focus is on efficiency and getting excellent food to your table quickly. Ambiance & Service: This is not a restaurant built on trendy decor or overly solicitous service. The atmosphere is simple, casual, and functional. Service is efficient and straightforward, reflecting the priority of the kitchen over the front of house flair. If the quality of the food is your main metric, you will be thrilled. If you expect a high-end, polished dining experience, you might need to adjust your expectations. Pho Lan is an honest, no-frills location dedicated to its culinary mission. Pho Lan is a Fremont treasure. It’s the kind of local spot that deserves strong community support because they consistently nail the most important element: the food. For authentic flavors, generous portions, and truly delicious Vietnamese cuisine—from the masterful pho broth to the flavorful rice plates—Pho Lan is highly recommended. Come support this dedicated family business and enjoy some of the best Vietnamese food Fremont has to offer. This was long due- will post pictures next time I visit them.

Family owned and run. Lovely humans run this place. Food was good without being spectacular. Its because the ingredients perhaps are not as fresh as they can be at a more trafficked place. The place can do with an olfactory upgrade including the stuff they use to clean up the tables between one guest vs the next.

Always very delicious but lately has been skimping on the meat they give in take-out orders. They never get my order wrong and serve quickly, however.

Went here for lunch today. I saw the reviews and honestly the food is delicious. I had the number 29. It was delicious and smelled great. The ceiling has water damage and we can smell the mildew even though it's covered up by the incense so if you're sensitive to smoke or strong scents, I would advise not coming here. Despite all that, the food is delicious, hefty portions, priced appropriately, and the workers are very friendly. The feel of the place feels like this place has seen better days and sadly has been forgotten. If someone would help them fix the water damage this place would be perfect. Come by and give them some of your business and maybe if there's a wonderful, wealthy angel out there that can donate to help them make repairs.

Beef pho was good. But nothing spectacular. One size bowl price. Not like some Vietnamese rests that you can choose S, M or Large bowl. A little disapointed on the egg rolls because they got refried. A three star restaurant but added 1 more star for owner? (Older Gentleman) 's friendliness and restaurant cleanliness.

A clean place to eat my lunch. The Bun Bo Hue (spicy pork noodle soup) is my fav. Just enough spicy and doesn't make you thirsty afterward. No pork blood for me. Very generous big bowl of soup.

This place is a new Vietnamese restaurant in Fremont. It used to be a Thai restaurant that I liked to dine-in in the past few months, Bann Thai. The food was tasty, the place was clean, and the owner was friendly. The food came fast even though there were only owners who served, got orders, and checked. If you are a pho lover, please go and try it!

Decent, if not generic, place for Vietnamese food. I had the pork chop with broken rice and it was pretty good. The restaurant itself looks pretty rundown, however, with a lot of the decor being leftover pieces from the thai restaurant that occupied this space several years prior to Pho Lan. The ceiling also has a lot of visible mildew and sealant or something spread around that makes it look like it's in the process of being renovated, and the overall atmosphere is slightly dull. Other than that, however, it's quite clean. Staff was super friendly, however, and service was fast since there was only one other person other than myself there at the time as it was a weekday. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in the area and are craving Vietnamese food.

Finally a new pho spot in Fremont. Went here on a Saturday afternoon, only a few people here. Was greeted promptly and pointed where we could sit. After a few minutes if sitting down, we wondered where the menus were at...looking around I saw some on a neighboring table, grabbed them and checked out the pricing. Pricing was pretty standard, but it took forever for someone to take our order - seemed like they were busy putting glasses of water together and assisting other tables. Finally got our food, and it was one of the best bowls of pho in the Fremont area. With that being said, the quantities were lacking. Additional noodles is an extra $3. That would make a bowl of pho with extra noodles for $17 which is a little insane. Also, folks that came in after us got their food (multiple dishes) prior to ours arriving. Even though the food was great, I would rather travel a little further for a better overall experience.

Service was great and ambiance is nice. We ordered fresh spring rolls, fried rolls, spicy noodle soup veg which were all great and highly recommend. Not a big fan of vegetables over rice or their veggie chowmein

Food is not bad but portions are small and they skimp on ingredients. Ordered a pho dac biet and it came with three small slices of rare beef, a single meat ball sliced into 4 pieces, a single slice of tendon, some small pieces of tripe….Like seriously? Compared to any other pho restaurant, it’s very bare. Not good value for money.

Feels like a mom and pop shop, the older man by the register (owner?) was nice and easy to talk too. However, the place was packed with more non-viet customer so I was quite skeptical. I got the number 2 and thai tea for around $23 with tax which matches with prices for other stores. Thai tea was on par however the phở had much more broth and noodles than beef and meat were very thinly sliced. Worse of all I cant tell if I got a bad batch or something but the noodles have a weird chemical aftertaste like as if the manufacturer use chems to bleach the noodles or something. Everything was kinda mid so the weird tasting noodle just worsen the experience . I might return to try their other items but fs will not order the number 2 again :/

Not good. Vegetarian bun Bo hue has no cabbage.. lacking flavor, lacking care. Pho tai steak is hard and chewy ., soup too sweet for my liking and just mediocre at best. Prices are in the lower side and average $15 but the value but the value and quality is not there. Dingy interior that felt sticky/dusty everywhere. I didn’t dare touch the condiments

There was no toilet paper in there The toilets need to be repaired Room next door had 4 barrel containers filled with a yellow liquid all uncovered

I was there with my old friend and my daughter. I had #37 Combo Plate (Grilled pork chop, fried chicken wings, and egg roll). Fried chicken was overcooked (tough). The rest of the food was not satisfying to me either. My friend and daughter did not really enjoy their food either. The restrooms were not operational. Building is old and it shows. I cannot recommend this place.

Have been here many times, was good before, but recently the quality has declined significantly, the meat is not tender, the broth tastes like MSG water. Not sure if we are going back anymore.

Portion is super small. Around half of what other pho restaurant. Taste is ok. Not recommend.
