Good menu and it’s hard to not come back here! If you want something spicy with stronger flavors then this is the place. Very generous quantity, there were a lot of beef sirloin slices, and I really love the little bamboo shoots. We enjoyed our lunch there. We came at 12pm on a workday, service was fast. We spent about 40 mins here - yes we ate really fast, order rice to go with the dishes. It cost us around $50 (I think taxes are included) before tips.

Excellent and Authentic Hunan cuisne. It's been a while I haven't been that satisfied! Staffs are very polite and professional. Atmosphere is good, nice decorations, however the side door keep opening and closing, freezing wind... And some dishes get cold almost immediately.

This place is amazing by Chinese standards. I moved to this area one year ago, didn’t find any good Chinese restaurants, a lot of mom&pop level food. But this place’s food and service is top tier, felt like I was in china for a second. Love their fish, fresh, LIVE and cooked just right. Shrimp balls were bomb too. Service was amazing 10/10 better than haidilao Suggestions/意见/建议： Soup: not a menu with many soup options, perhaps include some simple vegetable soup for balance. Even egg drop/corn soup is fine. The only bone soup available that we ordered was o-k, could have cleaned out the pork bones more for a cleaner taste. 红烧肉 was ok very soft but the flavor is just more salty than anything else. I think the spice is not proportional. It’s mad salty. Overall great experience would def visit again. Long lines on the weekend plan accordingly.

I absolutely love the food here! Almost everything is a bit spicy so be prepared! The century eggs were my favorite, and they were displayed beautifully! There was a wait to be seated but it's definitely worth it. The area is a little bit dark but that just adds to the atmosphere m even though you are seated next to others, you definitely feel like you have your own space. The waiters and waitresses were very timely to serve our needs this time.

We came here for the second time to try their new mushrooms dishes. Last time when they first lauched the Yunnan serials food, we were surprised by the flavor and creativity however this time the new fried rice and steamed egg custard taste a bit flavorless. Don’t get me wrong because I still think they are good food but the mushrooms fragrance was not strong enough and didn’t seep into the other ingredients well enough. There is room for improvement. I still recommend the other Yunnan dishes like simmered rice and potatoes in copper pot, pork fat fried vegetable, mixed mushroom fry with cured meat and the seasonal drink.

Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Authentic Chinese food from Hunan and they can get really spicy! Recommend: beef orta （黄喉） Mao's pork belly (毛氏红烧肉) Do not recommend: lamb ribs (香辣羊排) which is too fatty, Fried croakers (炸小黄鱼) - not too crispy and too much flour. Service is lukewarm as they are too busy to check on their customers. But if you stop them and ask for anything, servers are friendly and will help you. Reservation highly recommended.

Sainandan Kaipu

This is authentic Chinese restaurant without any Americanized flavors or tweaks. Ambience and staff are excellent. Little on the expensive side as well. Being an Indian vegetarian had little options for my food and felt few things could have tasted better. However had a pleasant experience.

Chunjiao Xiao

As a Hunan girl, I would say this restaurant is pretty authentic Hunan cuisine, price point is slightly higher than other restaurants, 2 people ordered 3 dishes, with tax and tip around $100, the sour fish soup is a little bit too oil and not that tasting, but the fried dishes are pretty good. Will come back but definitely not the type of food I can handle everyday, a little bit oily.

The food is quite tasty and came pretty quickly, although the portion is on the small side. My main issue is the drinks situation. we all order drinks, and after we voiced concern about the drinks being way too sweet, they just brushed it off saying it’s just honey, without doing anything to rectify the situation(making us new ones etc) and still charge us the drinks. And the drinks were $13 a serving, which is not cheap and over priced tbh. I feel like I pay a lot for very sugary (bad) stuff that’s forced on me.
