Service is friendly and quick, food is very good, and the prices are reasonable. Casual, family place, laid out in 2 rooms, 2 wall TVs, quirky decor. The Spicy Tuna sandwich wasn’t spicy (though it had jalapeños), but really tasty nonetheless. My friend had the breakfast sandwich which was ok.
We waited outside briefly, then placed our orders and when we were seated at our table, they brought our food right to us in just a few minutes. All the food was delicious, especially the eggs. The iced mocha was a lot fancier looking than I expected (I thought those pictures were of milkshakes) but it was really good for someone who loves sweet coffee. The strawberries on the pancakes were very fresh and ripe! I’m really looking forward to eating my leftovers, and to coming back here again. Note that it is a bit loud in the restaurant but they have patio seating, which I imagine is a little quieter.
The wife and I came by after spinning several of the Pokestops and Pokemon Gyms in the area. We got the Nutella pancake, chicken fried steak, all meat omelet, cheese fries, and onion rings. We were lucky because appetizers were 5 bucks for happy hour and they weren't holding back. The food was amazing! The service was super awesome; quick, consistent, and welcoming. Definitely going to come back
I frequent this place on the weekend and I always take people visiting me here. Wait can be 10-20 mins when busy, but considering how many people come here not bad at all. You order when you put your name on the list so when you’re seated, your food is ready. Portions are always big, prices are pretty reasonable. I love getting the skilletz breakfast. I’ve ordered some desert shakes in the past, but not a fan of those personally (they use Hershey chocolate syrup and I don’t like that). Staff is super nice. Parking can be kind of annoying but never takes longer than 10 mins to find a spot. Located in a unique little area with vintage shops around.
Visited here twice during our stay in Niles . We had breakfast and dinner menus . On both occasions staff were friendly and attentive and service was quick and food fresh ! Both visits did not disappoint! Large potions so no need to add sides to your order - Thank you for a wonderful experience
Stopped in for breakfast after seeing the great reviews and was not disappointed. Made a reservation but on a Friday morning it wasn’t necessary as we were seated immediately without a problem. Drinks arrived within a minute and I kid you not our food was on our table within 5 minutes of ordering even though the place was brisk. There is an air of efficiency to the place. Be forewarned servings are HUGE and we didn’t know so we ended up with way too much food. The good news is the food was outstanding. Omelettes were awesome and pancakes got a thumbs up. It was pricey however again with huge portions we could’ve split the servings easily and made the price more reasonable. This is a good stop for a great breakfast with efficient service. Two thumbs up!
It feels good coming back here! There were many people in line. The first time I came here, there wasn’t because I came earlier. They have us fill in our names and times we come here and then seated us based on the party. Luckily for me since I’m the only one dining here, I was the first one to be called in. They make us order before we get seated depending on the party size. I heard that they have a patio section, but unsure where it is because I’ve never seen it. I heard that we have to walk around the restaurant and it’s all the way at the back. The restaurant is small and makes me wonder how can they fit a lot of people inside. The corned beef is different compared to other breakfast restaurants. It’s mushier and they served us salsa, but that’s probably for the potatoes. For the hot coffee, they gave me a large cup. Usually, restaurants serve us small ones. I made my promise to come back here but it’s been almost two years now. I’ll try to come here a little more often.
Went to Skilletz Cafe at 9:30 am Monday. They were a bit busy, but we got seated right away. We got our drinks and food really fast. We ordered chicken fried steak, rosa bravo omellett, avocado omellett, and breakfast patty melt. The portions are big and only cost $17.00 each. Fresh delisious food, great tasting drinks, good service, and relax atmosphere.
We were a group of four with a mix of vegetarian, vegan, and eggetarian preferences, and Skilletz had plenty of great options to satisfy all of us. We tried the veggie omelette, veggie burrito, and fresh orange juice, all delicious and well-prepared. The staff was friendly and great, making the experience even better. Do note that due to high demand, they only take orders once the entire group is present. Orders are taken outside before you’re seated. Parking was easy, with ample spots available both on the street and in the adjacent parking lot. Overall, a great experience for anyone looking for solid vegetarian-friendly breakfast/ brunch options!
It’s a fun place to have some traditional breakfast, best enjoyed with family and friends. First off, we knew we’d have to wait. And even though there were a lot of people ahead of us, it seemed to go fast. Like people have noted, they take your order ahead of time while still waiting, so that was very helpful. Once we ordered, we explored the quirky little shops of Niles. The orange juice was good and refreshing. The milk shake the right size. French toast and pancakes etc. were big servings and we were full after having them. The steak sandwich was done well. We had fries and they were good and crispy. The flavors reminded me of diner-style breakfast joints. I’d have liked the waffle to be a bit more doughy, the kind I can’t easily make at home, but the fluffy homestyle waffle was okay too. We had gone in Jan 1, and the atmosphere was festive and the service was fast and friendly. Even with so much crowd, they ran the place like a well-oiled machine, and with a smile. That definitely makes the experience special. Overall, a good breakfast/brunch spot. Would go again.

I would rate this place a 6/10. The wait wasn’t too long and I like how they take your order outside and then seat you. So when you get seated your food comes out shortly afterwards. For the amount of food I think the prices were just fine, however I didn’t too much care for the biscuits and gravy specifically. I thought the biscuits were a bit dry. The gravy was good tho. But I ended up sending mine back to the kitchen. And I didn’t like how low the lights were hanging from the ceiling.Im slightly tall so I did bump my head on them getting up.
Great little mom and pop breakfast and brunch restaurant in historic street in Fremont. A huge menu with lots of great options. Classic American breakfast food. Service is very friendly and you feel like you're going back in time when visiting this neighborhood. Food was pretty good but I feel like we ordered the wrong stuff. I think more traditional breakfast dishes like pancakes and French toast might have been better. Still definitely worth a visit. Very charming!
M'eh. Home of greasy food. Limited healthy choices but lots of food cooked with oil and fats.

As mentioned in some reviews they take your food order prior to being seated. Went on a Saturday afternoon it was busy. It took about 25 minutes to be seated and then the food pretty much arrived. I order a banana milk shake with the steak sandwich and fries. The milk shake glass arrive looking very tasty. It also felt light in weight. Kind of like when there is more foam/ whipped cream than milk. For the price of that not worth it. The fries tasted terrible. The Steak sandwich was good. I enjoyed the flavor and how it was seasoned. The service wasn’t very welcoming or positive. I didn’t see not one smile or got a positive greeting from anyone. The tables and chairs should be replaced they look dirty and old. There is a huge different between keeping a vintage look and something just being old and grungy. This place is over rated in my opinion. It needs a revamp and the employees need to understand that it’s part of the experience and job. It doesn’t take much to smile and greet someone.
This was a DoorDash order, I only live 5 min from the restaurant but don’t like the busyness on the weekends. I usually always order the Monte Cristo, it’s always delicious, not this time, it was dry even when I dipped it in syrup and had no powdered sugar on top which is one of my favorite parts of the sandwich. My husband got the Billy’s burger steak and eggs which comes with cheddar on top and avocado, they just gave us a plain flavorless burger patty…everything was cold when it arrived. Being busy is no excuse to send customers low quality food with missing ingredient, especially with those prices!

I was disappointment with my first experience at Skillet. I came in on afternoon for a quick branch. The inside of the restaurant was desperately dark. I asked to go to patio. When going to the patio, they have me ( customers) walk through the kitchen. Kitchen was ok, but there was a tray of bread sitting in front of open door and no one was there. We sit outside, where several flies annoyed us. Also the condiment box had old potato that could be there for hours. Seems like no one cleaned. I ordered my food and made sure no bacon on it. When I got the dish, two bites into the dish, I tasted bacon and asked one of the waiter to take it back. The waiter took my plate back to replace it or offer me a new dish. Shortly the manager came back with my plate ( after taken to kitchen) upset about saying the dish does not have beacon and pushed me to eat it. It was very unpleasant experience that marks this place of my go to spot. Also all waitress wearing white and their clothes are uncleaned.
