I really enjoyed the fried sushi, which is a salmon or crab salad roll with a fried layer on top. The BBQ products such as beef short ribs and roasted pork ribs were done well. I can see that this place would cater well to both the traditional Chinese and American taste.
The sushi and food was good, especially for a buffet and the staff was absolutely fantastic, super sweet, great at checking in on us and made my little boys night with their koi fish pond.
Great selection food! sushi bar is awesome along with a great variety of seafood and classic chinese-american dishes! they even have things like pizza and fried chicken wings for kids (example)! Definitely coming back!
After hanging a Pinster Whobbler on Freeport Annie's living room wall just above her couch.. she complained like there was no tomorrow! She said it's not centered, it's too low, and you can see the nail next to that big hole! Well, I told her I could fix all that if she took me to the World Gourmet Buffet Restaurant... And, then I reminded her that she's the person who guessed the location, and pounded that huge 20 penny galvanized nail into the wall with a 3 pound single jack, leaving a huge hole where she missed. Well, I fixed her mistakes, and she took me to the World Gourmet Buffet Restaurant for an amazing dinner! 5 🌟 ⭐️ 💫 🌟 ⭐️
World Gourmet Buffet is a dazzling dining experience that truly lives up to its name! I’m visiting from San Diego and from the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a vibrant atmosphere and an incredible selection of dishes to choose from. The food is great quality and they constantly put out more when it is low. But the real star of the show is the dessert bar – a paradise of cakes, pastries, and sweets that will satisfy any craving. World Gourmet Buffet isn't just a meal; it's an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just looking for a delicious and diverse dining option, this is the place to be!
The selection is impressive! There’s a wide variety of dishes catering to different tastes. The dessert bar was a highlight for me: plenty of cakes, pastries, and a make-your-own ice cream station that kids (and kids at heart) will love. Everything I tried tasted fresh and was regularly replenished. The staff were friendly and attentive despite the restaurant being quite busy. Plates were cleared promptly, and they were quick to assist with any requests.
I’m always searching for great buffet places!! Ever since the pandemic hit lots where lost but now I found this place and it’s amazing!! I love the variety and taste quality of the food! The sushi has big regular size sushi and lots of types and very delicious!! They clean up your dishes fast and are around for you to ask refill on drinks which is a plus! You should stop by it will become your favorite asian buffet! They also have a very beautiful relaxing pond of Koi fish💜
Love 💕 coming here because it is never busy and the food 🍲 is always on point. The Mongolian beef 🥩 is my favorite 🤩 dish because you can add whatever you like instead of them doing it for you. I love mine spicy 🌶 and noodle 🍜 free! The seafood 🦞 is really good and Chinese food 🥘 hits the spot all the time including the 🇯🇵 Japanese sushi 🍣. Service is excellent and the staff are very attentive to your needs. To top it Off, the design and ambiance is very relaxing and welcoming for any and everybody. The Koi 🐠 pond at the front Lobby is wonderful addition to this Authentic Asian Buffet. Keep up ⬆️ the Great 😊 work! I am anxiously awaiting to go back again.
Food is good. Adequate variety of food choices. Ice cream is a little melted but still ok. good value. Food is tasty. Kids Eat Free! 😊
The food was good. Some of it wasn't all that good. You could tell some of the sea food had been there too long. It looked unappealing. Some of the meat(ribs were cooked but had no flavour to them). But I can say much of it was delicious 😋😋🤤🤤. The sushi was awesome and they had everything you need. Including a bar stocked with fresh raw meat.
09.15.25 11:30am Adult Lunch $17.99, Seniors -10%. Still good buffet, fresh, clean, tasty. Better than; Milpitas Buffet (your regular subpar Chinese buffet), Tomi Sushi & Seafood Buffet (untasty food, not good sushi), Newark Buffet (tiny restaurant w.few choices). New World Gourmet Buffet has a huge selection of dishes, I'd stay away from the sushi section except for maybe the seaweed salad. Cold seafood items are good, fresh, or shrimp, mussels w.lemon or cocktail sauce. The hot food was nice, fresh, hot, and good. The fin soup was the best out of the soup selections but still just ok. Pastry dessert isn't worth any tummy real estate, fresh fruit is good if you stay away from the obvious canned items. All in all way too much selection, just get a single bite worth of food then decide to get more later on, food selection is huge; dumplings, fried food, stir Fry's, made to order Mongolian stir fry, fish, mussels, shrimp, pork ribs, stir fried eggplant, chicken wings, etc, located in a good area with plenty of parking & tables, service was good, their tea is awful, some weird medicinal tasting Chinese tea at $1.99/cup, just avoid & drink water or maybe soda.
We were happened to be in this Fremont Area so we decided to give it a shot for the first time. I been eyeing this buffet restaurant for awhile now but it is a little bit of a drive for me. We had a nice experience having lunch here. They offers many different options!!!!! Great Seafoods, Sushi, Crawfish, Clams, Crabs, Soups, Veggies, Desserts, Sweets, Dumplings, Dim Sum, and many flavors of Ice Creams for desserts!!!!!! Love their interior designs. Colorful Arts and Displays inside!!! Beautiful Koi fish pond!🐠💕 Big Spacious Seatings area. I definitely enjoyed eating here!!! Absolutely worth the Drive and $$ 🦞🤍March12,2024🐙🦀🦐🍣🤍
The buffet has a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. It offers a wide selection of Asian dishes, including sushi and seafood, but the food is not spicy. While the variety is impressive, the taste is just average. They also have a good selection of fruits and desserts. The cost is $30 per person, with drinks costing extra. Overall, it's a nice spot for variety, though the flavors and spice levels may disappoint some.
Came here on a weekday and when they first opened because usually their food should be hot and fresh and not dry where it has been sitting under the warmer longer than it should. I tried the sushi, had the cook make my beef, pork, and shrimp chowmein. He seemed annoyed and not friendly at all but it's ok some people have their days. I walked around and tried food from each station and I did enjoy some of them. The fruits were fresh, I don't really like their cakes but I did like their jello. The staff was always right there which was nice and the manager was very nice and friendly. The place is nice and clean which I very much liked. Just remember, we all have our own preference in food and also our taste buds are different so even if I share my experience with you it's always good to see and try it for yourself. ☺️
We came on a Tuesday just after they opened, around 11:30am. Not crowded at all. The place looked clean. I missed eating seafood (baked mussel, shrimp, fish), so it's mostly those that I got. I especially like the miso soup (among the three soups served that day). Forget about the carbs though (rice and noodles). They were hard, undercooked. I don't really care for sushi (didn't even try those). The fruits (tried honeydew and cantaloupe) were good. They were crisp. For dessert, I wish I got more of the chocolate cake. It was yummy! For $15.99 (weekday rate for lunch), it was worth it. We stayed for two hours. We had to leave before they kick us out. LOL!
Came here after a christening. Large room for our group. It was a hot day and the air conditioner wasn't amp up for how many people were in the restaurant. There was only one attendant for our party. The buffet area was very hot. I wasn't into the food. The sushi rolls did not taste fresh. It was a let down. The only good thing good about it was the sesame balls. They were freshly hot and delicious. Fresh fruit wasn't cold enough.
As far as buffets go this was a mid as they come. Nothing specifically notable but of course nothing was bad either. Decent assortment of sushi which were all actually pretty solid. Lunch prices are fair but nights aren't really worth the price for the menu in my opinion. If your nearby and looking for a buffet, this place isn't a bad try.
I was desperate. I didn't want to write this but being I've been a more superior simular restaurant...I am. They do have a great selection of seafood here. The flavors however were zero. No flavor or seasonings. The salt and pepper crab and shrimp was not. The mussels just had Sriracha on them. Everything I had was cold except the octopus. I think that's because it was in juice and not heaping. Look. When food is heaping in the platter but not being eaten fast enough it gets cold and extremely hard to get to the hot bottom. I did enjoy the octopus, co co clams and the fried bananas. The restrooms were ok. Just needed to be swept. I was there about 1pm on a Tuesday and it costed $15.99. I wished they would have cleared my dishes before I got back to my table with another plate. They weren't busy by any means and is was easy for them to do.
Foods been sitting for a while and was ok. Place was pretty dead for a Saturday night, which should had been the sign that its not good. We sat next to service booth and for some reason, they didn't even bring us our drink until we had to ask again. 100 bucks for 2 adults and 2 kids.
With all honesty the food is not good at all. In my opinion the price of buffet you pay I am expecting for better quality food. It was disappointing, the soda was water down , from dessert to food its taste aweful. My hope that management will take time to access the quality of food. I dont plan going back or recommending this place.
Walked into the restaurant to find a rave party in their event room, the most lively area of the restaurant. We were barely acknowledged and ushered to the seating area. A server finally came to our table and seved our fountain drinks..we found out later they were $5 each. Overlooking the half shell oyster likely sitting there since lunch, the honey chicken, bao buns, and fried shrimp were palatable. We were quite fond of the desserts, including the soft serve, a buffet staple. Not worth $80 for 2 people but we managed to eat our fill.
