I've been coming to Fungs Kitchen ever since I was little and still till this day 35 years later it is still one of my favorite restaurants

A bit of a walk down memory lane, I hadn't eaten at Fungs for 15 years or so. A former workplace was in the neighborhood. I ordered the Manchurian Beef which came with noodles. A great sized portion, piping hot, was served. And while another restaurant's recipe was in recent memory, at Fungs it was entirely satisfying. Plus enough for a light take-home dinner.

Great food and service. It's an old place but feels like homey.Brings back old memories for me.

Love the food been coming to this place for over 12 years. Right now you cannot eat in but you can order from outside and wait in your car or call in your order and they will do curbside pick up. The wait wasn't too long and I just love this food alit.

I've been goin to them for years, I moved to northwest area but i make the drive to them because their food is so good. They kind of give me a hard time when I ask extra soy sauce pockets but other than that the food is so good best Chinese food in town!

Went by myself very nice nice experience my grandfather used to take me there when I was like 8:00 so when I talked to was very nice it's same family that was her aunt and uncle at that time my grandfather was Reverend Ed replogle from The Gospel lighthouse in Fresno and it was a family thing we used to do on Sundays after church so it really touched my heart that it was the same family it's been in five generations I think she said.

This restaurant is FABULOUS! I have been eating here since 1977. I have not found a better tasting restaurant anywhere! What I like is their combination A dinner with Egg Foo Young, BBQ Pork Fried Rice and BBQ Pork Chow Mein... also their soup is fabulous, especially the mushroom soup. I drive from Las Vegas just to eat here!

Brought my oldest daughter here, for the first time. She was very impressed with the service & food. Will be bringing the whole family soon.

Love this place. Old style Chinese Food. Family run. Foods Delicious. Price friendly. I order many dishes. Egg Foo young is fluffy and flavorful not like a hockey puck. Schezchuan Beef should be called mushroom heaven. Plenty of beef and black mushrooms. I always come back for more.

They have great, fast, friendly service. The food is very tasty and lots of it for the money you pay. Not expensive at all. I love Fungs and always get the cashew chicken plate. Its not in the best area of town but worth the drive.

We have visited several times and the food is always very well prepared and flavorful. I really like the Szechan Beef. When you go, be sure to order the egg rolls and pot stickers. They are incredible!! The food is great, the service is unmatched and the prices are really good. You need to visit this place when you are hungry for good, home-cooked Chinese!!

Was my first time going there. Servings are huge staff are friendly. My only complaint was that the food could have used a bit more flavor. I ordered one of the curried dishes and could barely taste any curry. Other than that everything was good and I will go back.

I've been going here for years and as a kid with my parents. Their food is still delicious, with reasonable prices and generous portions.

I love Fung's! My all time favorite Chinese food.... my great grandmother used to take me here when I was a kid. Still tastes the same and totally gives me good memories of my gram.

Came here with my wife for dinner. The orange chicken plate was hot and to die for. The egg rolls and sweet and sour pork were hot and fresh. We will absolutely be going again the next time were in town.

The food was first rate. One of the best in Fresno. Curry was great. My new favorite spot. Price was a steal for the quality of the food. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Service was great.

I have frequented this place for many years. The staff is always friendly and the food is consistently good. Having to call in orders and waiting outside has caused a lot of tension on everyone's part....but it is what we have to put up with for now.

Lots of seating with a vintage diner feel. Good Chinese standards at reasonable prices. I recommend the Mongolian Chicken.

Food is delicious here.. Try their Chicken with Almonds and Pan Fried Noodles combo.. You can never go wrong with this dish..

Friendly personnel, the food is very good .My favorite is chicken chop suey chow mien haven't found a place that served this dish and tasted, as good as "Paris Café" which has since closed it doors.

Very good consistent in its delicious tasting. Just don't ask for extra crackers for there delicious simple chicken noodle soup. Sweet and Sour Pork Spare Ribs and Fired shrimp are my favorites.

Really like the food, especially the broccoli beef. The service is always fast and friendly.

The scrimp fryed rice that I ordered only had about 5 mini shrimps and the rice was to muchy.

Wasn't fond of this food, but It grows on you. But it's definitely fast food. Main dishes is cook without sauce and added after. (Example: I ordered Sweet and Sour Pork and got cooked pork with sauce poured over it.) Pan fried noodles are way different than other Chinese restaurants. All the staff is great and very friendly.

Some days are better than others (i guess). Many reviews loved this place. Many have not. I have had food that was good from here. I have also had food that had no flavor from here. Someone isnt adding something on some dates. WE WANT FLAVOR. Thank you. Service was ok also. I did get to go so wasn't served but ladies were polite, clean, friendly. The little old guy in the back, by himself sure was earning his money. When people complain about food taking too long, try cooking for yourself. And thinking about the company your keeping. You should enjoy being w/someone at a meal, respect it. If you dont enjoy your company while waiting for someone else to make your food then you should probably stay home & cook your own meal.

Food is ok taste bland. U have to add ur own seasonings. They charge 85 cents for a refill of your drink. That's crazy. But the older asian lady was nice and the cook was nice too. The younger asian lady was rude yelling at a customer. Ordered two plates 2 drinks with one refill each and shrimp paid over 30$ like 35 something. Not worth it sorry 😔

I rarely do this but this place is a miss. Claims to be chinese and american but has only the hamburger, cheeseburger, and fries to offer. So off to a bad start with presentation. Ordered the cheeseburger and fries for my wife. The burger was nothing special and the bun was dry. The fries had no seasoning at all. I got pork fried rice and a half order of bbq pork. The rice was also nothing special, and the bbq pork had very little bbq going on. Like the sauce was an afterthought. Looked like chunks of ham heated up a bit. Service was okay. Polite enough. Kind of... Seemed annoyed when I brought up soup of the day (which they no longer do). Maybe I hit these guys on a bad day? I don't know. But mediocre was the only word on my mind.

Disappointed by not keeping up with the outside the bushes are terrible the grounds are not kept clean on the outside i remember as a child walking to school in the 3rd grade how nice it looked my grandmother would order food for us the inside clean but the outside needs attention

this place has some good and bad food but it is still pretty good but i went here and they always make me pay a bit too more, such as needing to pay around $16 and having to pay around $24. Also for the broccoli dishes, they should definitely take away some broccoli and add more meat

Visiting from LA. Came here because of the decent reviews. Ordered Sche Shwan shrimp and beef fried rice dish I am not a picky eater but this is sone of the poorest Chinese food i've had. The beef fried rice has the flavor of sawdust. The shrimp dish is mediocre at best. The frozen microwave chinese at the market is several steps above this food. Thats too bad.

Stay away! The place stinks and the people working here are extremely rude and they use canned mushrooms not fresh and that's what made me walk out and find a better place.

So this was the only restaurant that I found open, so I decided to treat my family so I ordered five of the family style meals broccoli beef extra shrimp almost $60 the food was disgusting had no flavor the rice look like white rice that they just threw a hell of a lot of soy sauce in it no flavor it was just bad bad service I will never eat there again

Worst food the fried rice tasted like it was made days before. The orange chicken sauce looked watery, wasn't tasty at all. The chicken literally looked like pork but it tasted like day old chicken it was dry. Never going back there again.

I tried based on the reviews and proximity to my work, honestly the worst Asian food I’ve ever had at least the orange chicken and egg roll were. Reminded me of a middle school lunch, bland or just bad flavor.

I am a usual customer. I was VERY disappointed. This time (12/2024) they were stingy on the meat in my mongolian beef. The flavor was not there. Last visit was July 2024 I won’t go back.

This food wasnt good at all, it slwas so blend no season… the noodle was burnt, and the rice was overcooked. It was mushy with just added soy sauce to it when it was supposed to be fried rice and I ask to, get something else she told me no!!!!That I had to pay for my meal, I first….i had state that I didn't want it at all she say I still had to pay for it, before I leave so not to cause a big seen, I just pay for it and left please do not go here this the food horrible and the service!!!!

****DO NOT EAT HERE, ROTTEN FOOD AND BAD SERVICE**** It's definitely the worst experience I've had in all restaurants I've been to. The lady who worked there was incredibly rude to my family, especially to my 7 year old niece who asked the lady for extra napkins and straws, she responded with frustration by abruptly shaking her hands over her head while facing my niece. The food was terrible. The fried rice that was served to us has gone bad with a off putting smell of rotting rice. It's like they got the old rotten rice, then refried it. The dumplings had enough oil to do an oil change for your car. We all lost our appetite then gave the rest of our left overs to a near by homeless. I've might have been a terrible person for giving the homeless terrible food. The only good thing about the restaurant was the parking. We were the only car there since our first/last visit.

Gave them a try based on recent reviews... I've lived and eaten Chinese Food on the east coast, west coast, and in-between and have never tasted anything as disgusting as what this place calls Chinese Food. The fried rice tastes old, smells horrible and is just mush with almost no seasoning. The egg rolls looked good, but taste awful and are also mushy. The Mongolian beef had what tasted like canned, grey Thanksgiving gravy on it. Nothing like Mong beef. All of the dishes had the same off flavor like their oil is bad or whatever base they use in most dishes has turned rancid. All of the meats were dry and tough. The chow mein noodles are nothing like I've ever had. Scroll through the reviews before going here. The folks that gave anything over 1 star must have never had any other Chinese Food anywhere. How do you mess up Chinese Food?!

The restaurant only had 3 other customers in there, but the service was really bad. Not once did they ask if we needed drink refills or how the food was. If the locals think this place is great, then that's very sad for them. The rice, chow mein, and egg foo young couldn't have been any more bland...absolutely no flavor whatsoever! The chow mein was clumped together and not cooked. The pork too was bland and chewy. We will never return, but if you are looking for cheap and bland, then I guess you will be happy.
