Haven't been here in a while. Place wasn't buzy. Cashier was very nice and friendly. Place was clean but kind of cluttered because there were chairs stacked in the dinning area. The cashier helped us with our choice of meal . We got our food pretty quick. Nice & fresh. Chicken very hot, and juicy. French fries were delicious. We enjoyed our meal. We had eaten a little earlier...so were weren't that hungry so we shared a plate. The pieces of Chicken were big and we had a small French fry but it was enough. Thank you If we're in that area again we will be sure to stop by to get a bite to eat again.

Located deep in the center of downtown Fresno, this hidden gem will certainly fill any fried chicken craving that you may have. I ordered the chicken sandwich and boy, it was delicious. the chicken sandwich was made from real piece of chicken breast that may very well be battered in deliciousness. My wife ordered the wings and we were both pleasantly surprised to see how large these wings were. The only negative feedback I could give was the location. Like I mentioned earlier, this restaurant is located in downtown fresno. So, expect to see some homeless people walking by. Other than that, I would definitely visit this place again.

Laura help us with the beginning of our greeting. The conversation was a lil rough but we got it together and the back support providing amazing customer Service 🐕‍🦺. Our night ended amazingly after finishing eating and we left satisfied.

The food was great! We got mac and cheese bites and Buffalo fries. Customer service was alright. The woman that helped us looked like she didn’t want to be there.

These fried are legit good and better than McD. Chicken is okay. Take about 10-15mins wait but it's fresh. 1 order is enough for two kids, or a big man.

favorite location in fresno area, used to be the one in riverpark but that’s gone downhill, food is always good and fresh here- just a little pricey. sauces are small and if you need more they’re are always extra $ lol

Tried this place for the first time at Fresyes, a must do downtown event. They are in a perfect location near Tioga Brewery and live music stage. The fries are really good, the service was great. I had the 3 chicken tender plate, good price and good food.

Hello there again on the reviews, this time i ate here i was satisfied with the spicy flavor of the chicken fries that i tried, i notice that always are a lot of people here and i think it is for the good flavor, i do really recommend this place is relaxing and good service, will come back again when have the chance.

Chicken was juicy, salad in general was excellent. The service is also very good, there's always a line, people willing to wait sometimes over 15-20 min. The employees try to keep tending to patrons as fast as they can. I recommend, it's delicious.

Delicious fried chicken and shoestring fries. Moist and crunchy! Limited menu of chicken fingers, wings, or sandwich with selection of sides (sold separate) and large variety of dipping sauces (i believe made in house). Cold beer on tap and bottle and inside/ outside seating. Lunch rush can be a little hectic wait until after or go for dinner.

So, I've been to this place twice, and both times I have left wanting more. Let me start with the positives. The fries are excellent and they give you a really good amount with a combo. The customer service is also great. They have to deal with very long lines of people and yet are very cheery and helpful. 5 stars for the atmosphere and employees. However, I tried three things from here and was pretty disappointed with all of them. The chicken fingers I had in the sandwich and as a combo. They are not tender, and feel dried out an chewy, more so than I was expecting from this place. Drenched in their sauce (which is absolutely delicious!) , it makes for an okay meal. The wings were a little more tender, which is great, but again left me wanting a little bit more tender chicken. In the end, I will probably be back the service, sauces, and fries I just can't get over. I am just leaving a little bit disappointed by the quality of the chicken.

Today was the first time I tried this place. I ordered a chicken wrap, fried, and it was good, but it wasn’t $14.50 good. It did not come with a drink or fries. Also, the menu had a different price, and I was charged a higher price. When I asked the employee if he charged me for a drink, he told me no, and that the price had gone up. That didn’t sit well with me so I wanted to share that with others, so you can be aware when you order. The price on the menu stated $11.49 but I believe I was charged $13.49 plus tax. The wrap was definitely overpriced.

So walking in there the atmosphere felt extremely dull. Not only that but the cashier came off as rude; they did not even greet me once I got to the register or anything. She just stood there blank faced and didn't even ask if I was ready to order. I felt I had to engage with her first. As a cashier one of the most important things is to greet your customer and that was the one thing she did not do. Not only that but it took around 20 minutes to get my food when there was only one person ahead of me. I took my food home to then see that the styrofoam had been burnt through! I haven't been to this location in a while and this interaction is a indication I should stay away. Such a shame.

Was really disappointed withe the size of my shack snacks for 13.49 (see photo) also they were over cooked. They gave us our sauces and they were not labeled so we did not know what they were. Missed 2 or 3 also. My wife liked her straps and was way bigger than my small plate. Kind of slow for the very small amount of people in there. Try again after a while to see if there is any improvement.

Hours say open at 9am but cant order nothing because fryers are barely turned on. Maybe need to change hours of operation and or have the people working come in earlier to turn everything on.

The wings I received were all soggy and had no sauce… 🧍🏻‍♀️ The lemon pepper wings were good but just lacked so much…the seasoning was just sprinkled randomly, it didn’t even coat the whole finger. I wasted almost $30 for this🫠

Food was not hot or atleast warm. By the time I got to my 2nd tender the food was cold. Fries were a lil too salty. They should atleast give one free ranch with your order instead of charging 99 cents. Restroom smelled like urine really bad. Over all the place felt unsanitary and sticky. The seats haven’t been scrubbed since the place opened years ago as they had food gunk in the back crease.

I tried this place on a whim when I had to be downtown. The service was great, but the food was not. The sandwich was super dry. The fries were too salty. It also made my stomach very upset. Love to the crew but I'll be eating elsewhere.

Absolute slop, ordered the #1 The original buffalo chicken fries. It was literally buffalo sauce soup, fries were soggy there was crumbs of “chicken” spread through out. Not coming back.

Can you get any lower? Charging 3$+ more before tax for the food posted as a meal clearly stating a price for a meal with drink and fries because "the prices have changed, sorry." Terrible customer service by the two females at the counter. Not a single person in the restaurant, and I can see why their competition seems to be thriving in this location.

Very first time trying this place. Kept hearing their chicken is sooooo good. Well...... the fact that I had to add salt on my chicken for flavor tells me they lied or had a very bad bash! The food was very blan, chicken was dry. The dip was ok and for the price of this food I will not return. Was really hoping to give a 4 to 5 star. Only gave the 1 star because the staff was super nice! I don't understand what the big hype is. Ate one strip and was done. Almost 40 bucks for 2 plate down the drain. Was hoping for good food and got robbed.

Edit: Never going to this location again, very rude cashier. 😡😡😡 This is the 4th Chicken Shack location I’ve been to & it’s closest to my house. The food was really good, fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. We always get the same thing, 5 piece chicken fingers and chili cheese fries. My husband agreed the taste was really good. Hopefully they get their permit to sell beer soon.

The fries were good. But they give you 1 sauce for 5 strips. There pretty big. 1 sauce isnt enough. I asked or a extra 1 and they charge another 99cent. You spend $16.01 and they can't give you a extra sauce. This will keep me from eating there again. The service was really slow. I was kind of surprised how slow it was.

Will NOT come in anymore. The counters and tables are sticky. Windows were dirty. New owner you should take more pride in you establishment.

Hello everyone, I had ordered a family platter that was like $42. The fries were stale almost looked like they had taken the fries out the freezer. Chicken was like stale dry and flavorless. While we were home and sharing with my family my brother found a fly in his portion. I then called and asked for a refund. They said only if I have a hard copy of the receipt. I then send that I chose the digital copy only when I order the food. They then told me to come to the store with my digital copy. I am currently at the store and ask for my refund and I guess the manager then switches up again for like the 3rd time and says we won’t get a refund unless we bring the food in and we have a picture. Disappointed in the overall experience. I just wanted my refund. Overpriced, and poor quality of food. Thank you.

Number Two

I order this at least 4 times every month and today was disappointing. The lady who took my order and made it, called this chicken bites!? I've never had any chicken bites looks like these and I paid over 9 dollars. Please have someone contact me

Decide to go on my lunch break and try this place out for the first time...went with hope and good expectations however was let down. The food was cold, bun was nearly frozen as if they were letting it thaw out still, along with the chicken being cold as well. The fries were lukewarm at best, but even then there was no seasoning. I should've known better and taken a look at the reviews before coming here. Hopefully they do better on the accommodations, as I am not the only one that experienced this.

establishment is hardly ever clean and the food isn't worth what it used to be. the chicken is too salty if it's not soggy at times and for the price they charge for only 6 wings it's almost like you got microwave dinner. better off spending money on a lunchable.

I received cold wings like they were straight out of the fridge. The sauce was warm but it's like they forgot to cook the wings and just put sauce on them. After informing them about this they said it's probably the sauce that coled them down but they were two degrees away from being frozen. Never going back. Number bcuz i love wings
