The best birthday dinner of my life. It was my first time dining in at Wassabi on fire and i am very impressed. Servers went above and beyond for us, the food taste even better than expected. The classy presentation with our drinks as well as the taste were perfect. The servers sang me a happy 28th birthday and brought us extra cheesecake. I will definitely be coming back more often. Thank you all sushi chefs, bartenders, servers, bussers, and management for the life changing experience and a memorable birthday night out.
The service is great and the place is so clean!!! I got sushi and fried rice! Let me tell you the fried rice was a huge portion! The place is a little pricey but you pay what you get for it!!! The prices are not terrible though, affordable for the service and food! Everything is aesthetic about this place! Great service, great chefs and great food! It’s amazing!!!
My family and I have eaten here 2x and both experiences have been great! The tepanyaki cooks were friendly and fun. They definitely make or break the experience and they did well. The food was great. The atmosphere was awesome 👌
Had teppanyaki dinner here and ordered the bulgogi beef. Everything was scrumptious! And a really good change from EdoYa and Sakura Chaya. It gets really loud in there between all the chefs cooking, playing music, and other groups in there but wasn't a deal breaker.
Shoutout to our Teppanyaki chef, Nick! Good energy, great service, and a super genuine dude. He made some amazing food for us and was very attentive about one of our party member’s shellfish allergy! Thank you for a good experience here! 🙏🏼
Yum!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Came in tonight 5/27/25. We hit the jackpot, Princy helped us. We loved everything she recommended! The live scallops are the bomb! Of course we love the specialty items. Yum! We did have the lobster roll. Their most popular dish. Super tasty. We had the live shrimp with shrimp head. We are not that adventurous yet. Every single bite was delicious. We highly recommend this awesome place and the people that work there. Princy is awesome! We can't wait to come back.
Food was so amazing! Seasoned to perfection and had a full container of leftovers afterward! From the salad and soup for starters, to the delicious California Super Roll, tender filet mignon, tasty New York Strip, crisp bean sprouts, complementary veggies, and that awesome fried rice, everything was amazing! Grateful for the experience that the nice chef provided for us 🥰
This is a GREAT place to visit if in the Fresno area. The sushi was delectable, as were the entrées. We ordered the teriyaki salmon, and the Chilean Sea Bass was a mouthful of buttery goodness. I would be doing this place a disservice if I failed to mention the absolutely wonderful customer service while dining here! Superb
Love all the sushi rolls here especially the raw sashimi too. Teppanyaki is also great too.

First time trying Wassabi on Fire. My friend and I decided to have lunch. Hannah was our server and she did an excellent job. From the greeting to recommendations and checking on us during the meal…
I enjoy Teppanyaki, the reservation was still honored even though some of our members were running late. That's the 5star. I didn't expect so many sushi rolls on the menu. It was delicious. The playing of music at the table was added bonus to excitement during dinner.
Food honestly tasted a little rushed (I love garlic but if I wanted that much on my edamame I’d just eat a garlic clove) but it was still good enough, and our waiter was attentive, but the bathrooms were gross and there’s hardly any handicap parking spots
We've always loved the atmosphere at Wasabi off the hook, but after visiting Wasabi on Fire, we have found our new favorite. The Seas Candy Roll at off the hook is significantly better, fuller, and more satisfying compared to this location. We've consistently enjoyed dining at Wasabi on Fire and are now loyal customers. The food and customer service are always a perfect 10 out of 10. Highly recommended!
This place has a great bar and vibe. I like that they’ll seat you for teppanyaki without reservations and without having a full table, unlike some other places in Fresno. Service was great, drinks were also really good. New bartender was training when I was at the but she did really well. I was very happy all my meal, it was delicious and made for a great lunch the next day as well. The only issue I had was they charge sooo much for sides of sauce. It’s a rip off and ridiculous. A small side of siracha was $1.50. Not only did they not tell me this up front, but I feel the charge is absolutely excessive. I would have brought my own and will in the future if I have the opportunity to return. Same for the spicy sauce. 2oz = $2. Ridiculous!
The food is really good, huge portions on sushi. The sauces are a little on the safe side, lack creativity. We go there probably 6-7 times per year but with a newborn and no changing table we may g…

Says a lot about a place when they have to charge you $2 for a small dipping cup of sriracha when other sushi places include it as a condiment. Surprised they didnt charge the soy sauce too (or the ginger and green horse radish). Service: the girls were very friendly and attentive. The guy servers were not friendly and looked like they didnt want to be there. The chefs looks very efficient making sushi. The atmosphere is good.
Nice place. But not sure dining is where it’s at. Next time I want to try teppanyaki. My chicken was so dry I could’ve choked. The “veggies” were basically onions and bell peppers that were extremely salty. The best part was the side of mixed tempura. Batter is perfectly flavored and flakey. Servers were attentive and friendly. It was super packed so teppanyaki must be good.
I use to consider wasabi one of the best places for sushi in town. The taste and quality were good, but the sizes have changed drastically. We use to be served the entire roll but now only get 6 piece for the same price. The dishes have changed as well, fried rice was oily and heavier than normal almost mushy, the beef teriyaki was rubbery, chicken was dry, but salmon was good. Service was good and attentive but doesn’t make up for the lack of quality on the food and small portions of sushi.

I'm sorry not sorry. I will not be going back to this restaurant again. I really think they should stick to the teppanyaki style meals. Its entertaining, and they cater more to those customers. Then the rest of everyone else at the restaurant. Raw fish and sushi really should not take over an hour to prepare. The sushi chefs were more into talking with each other and waitresses than completing orders. Everyone can hear what they are talking about also... If you are ok with spending a couple hundred for mediocre service and food. Enjoy...
overcharged ; didnt listen to instructions . I didn't get the lunch special price when i came at the right time

Absolutely disgusted in the customer service from the employees and management. I would give zero stars if I could. We made a reservation for 6 for 8:30 PM and waited over an hour in the parking lot. We checked in at 8 PM and went back to our cars because it was too cold to stand outside. We returned at 8:25 PM and waited for the other 3 people in our party as they were using the restroom in another establishment near by. A member of our party approached the hostess, in frustration, about their policy on having all parties present to be seated. I admit he was upset when talking with the hostess on how that was fair when us as consumers have been waiting for over an hour and they couldn’t bear to wait a few extra minutes for us. Then a lady who claims to be the manager chimes in and literally says to him with her hands out “do you want to eat here or not” in front of a full lobby! The manager showed the same frustration and attitude back which was so shameful on her part instead of attempting to diffuse the situation. When another member of our party tried to interject the manager told him your party will not be seated so we left abruptly because we were all embraced on how she spoke to us in front of almost 10-15 people. But the whole incident really bothered us. We returned a few minutes later to talk with the manager again about the conflict. I told the manger I understand our family member was mad and upset but as a manager she should never speak to someone like that. How is it okay to tell someone “do you want to eat here or not” when we’ve been waiting for over an hour and not to mention I’m visibly 7 months pregnant! The manager did approach us in a calmer tone in the conversation and I explained to her I did not appreciate her reciprocating behavior back. What upset me most was 1. the manager denied stating if we wanted to eat or not and 2. the original employee was being so rude and literally said you can get out, IN FRONT OF THE MANAGER. At that point my party and I were extremely upset and disgusted in the way they were handling our complaint. If a manager talks to customers that way it automatically enables the behavior of the employee which exactly happened in this situation. I was yelling out of frustration at this point on their response and blatant disrespect and ignorance. We personally feel we were racially attacked. Princy, the manager and her employees need a serious evaluation. I really hope the owners review the camera footage because you can clearly see from their body language on how they behaved in the entire ordeal.
My staff likes the go there occasionally for birthdays and other occasions. I usually like to have the fillet mignon with scallop combination. But on Tuesday, I got something other than a fillet mignon, it was the toughest beef I have ever had and could not even chew or eat it. When the cook (who talked all the time he was cooking) put two pieces on the grill I noticed one of them was too flat for a fillet. Bad experiences are not easily forgotten. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 My birthday is coming up and you can bet we are not going there! My bad I should’ve stuck with sushi.
Very cold service. Had the same bad experience twice. Went for our daughter’s birthday and despite knowing it was a special occasion, the chef didn’t even acknowledge us while paying full attention to the family sitting next to us. Discriminatory behavior. The Manager said she will get back to us but it’s been 8 months. Sad and gloomy atmosphere. No doubt it’s always empty when you go there. AVOID at all costs!
