A few years ago, the interior was upgraded with the addition of a smaller room on the first floor to accommodate more customers. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are well-maintained. The bar is also popular for its central location in Gallarate's pedestrian area. The staff is friendly. I always love returning.

A cold and rainy afternoon. I was in Gallarate for some shopping, and when lunchtime rolled around, I decided to head to this café where they also offer lunch. Once I arrived, I was greeted with great kindness, took a seat on the upper floor (recently renovated) and ordered. The wait was reasonable, and the sandwich I ordered was truly delicious, with fresh ingredients and well-assembled. Once I'd finished, I decided to stay and read a book. The atmosphere was warm and quiet, with good background music and just the right lighting, perfect for relaxing while reading, perhaps even with a nice cup of tea 😉. I'll definitely be back, perhaps on another cold and rainy day.

Stopped in Gallarate, the historic center, for the midday break. Great place for food quality. I found a great inventiveness for the proposed dishes (beautiful and good!). Friendly staff and good cleaning. Good job guys!

Aperitivo molto buono, bella location con i tavoli all’esterno e vista sulla piazza. Spritz normali. Drink a 8-9€ incluso aperitivo.

Bar carino, in pieno centro a Gallarate e con molti tavoli: perfetto per ritrovarsi con gli amici, studiare o lavorare. I prezzi sono un po' alti, non sempre comparabili alla qualità dei prodotti; Il personale però è sempre cordiale e disponibile. Annessa al bar vi è anche una libreria, consiglio l'acquisto di un tomo da sfogliare sorseggiando un caffè o qualche specialità tipica del locale. Frequento il posto da quando sono adolescente e negli anni la qualità è sempre migliorata. Vale assolutamente la pena fermarsi!

The staff is very friendly; I've always had a good experience. Today I had a bombolone, which was truly fresh and fabulous. I have to be honest, the coffee tasted slightly burnt, but the bombolone was truly superb. I'm giving it three stars, but for the food, because, aside from the desserts, the lunch items (having already tried them a couple of times) didn't satisfy me at all, so I'd go for dessert, but not lunch...

Ottimo posto per un pranzo in centro, un po' lenti a servire, insalata molto buono, panino non molto saporito e un po' costoso, personale cordiale e gentile, molto buone le bevande prodotte dalla casa.

Ci vado ogni tanto e devo dire che è molto frequentato. Tutta la settimana e facile trovare coda sia per servizio al tavolo che al banco, quindi abbiate pazienza perché non sono velocissimi. Riguardo i prezzi sono nella media se con servizio al bancone, ma se vi sedete avrete una bella sorpresa....si paga il servizio al tavolo. Su questo ultimo punto devo dire che la legge non è chiara in merito all'indicazione del servizio al tavolo, quindi la direzione ha deciso di indicarlo solo nel menu accessibile con QRCode, va bene saranno a norma ma è una bella furbata perché spesso il cliente per un solo caffè e brioche non scansiona il menù, e non tutti sanno come scansionare il QRCode e poi si trovano 0,30€ in più su ogni cosa acquistata sullo scontrino. In mia presenza due clienti si sono seduti allo stesso tavolo e lei si è alzata perché voleva andare ad ordinare e servirsi da sola, ma il cameriere le ha detto che sarebbe venuto lui, peccato abbia omesso che il servizio al tavolo si paga visto che nel menu appeso all'interno non è indicato il costo del servizio al tavolo e ritengo sia una bella furbata, perché in onestà ritengo giusto indicare chiaramente su un cartello tale costo....facendolo presente, purtroppo la risposta è semplicemente che è indicato nel menu. Per onestà suggerisco un bel cartello che indichi il costo del servizio al tavolo, sarete pure in regola per la legge, ma la chiarezza per tutti è bella cosa, evita equivoci inutili e non scontenta nessuno. Per il resto il locale è carino, i dipendenti fanno il loro, ma un sorriso in più sarebbe meglio. Prodotti buoni e di qualità. Viste alcune carenze ho messo le 3 stelle

È la prima volta che entro in questo locale. Ci siamo fermati per un aperitivo. Locale carino, si può consumare sia fuori che dentro. Noi siamo rimasti all’interno. Purtroppo non ci siamo trovati molto bene. Servizio molto lento, aperitivo nulla di speciale, il personale disponibile. Location semplice , non curato soprattutto i bagni igienici e poco segnalati. Dalla parte delle donne c’era anche il lavandino otturato. I prezzi sopra la media.

Piccola merenda in un pomeriggio invernale. Locale grande anche fin troppo, non c'è la possibilità di consumare al piano terra, quindi o ci si accomoda fuori oppure al piano superiore al coperto. Il servizio è lento e se per caso non si è pronti ad ordinare all'arrivo del cameriere, essendo al piano superiore, o si aspetta che salga qualcuno o bisogna scendere a chiamarli. Abbiamo aspettato 15min, solo, per poter ordinare. Lo staff è limitato ad una cameriera, gentilissima tra l'altro, che deve fare tutto, prende le ordinazioni e serve i tavoli sia fuori che all'interno. I caffè "speciali" niente di eccezionali si sentiva solo il latte. Il dolcetto molto buono, la varietà è pochissima rispetto alle altre Botteghe Cacao. Per la qualità e il gusto delle bevande calde il prezzo è troppo alto. Sconsigliato, specialmente per chi vuole pausa veloce.

I'm already a customer of the Botega chain, but at other locations. Today's experience here was terrible! After queuing at the cash register on the ground floor and telling them we wanted to sit upstairs, we were told to go upstairs and place our order. Upstairs, it's impossible to find a table with four chairs: the chairs have all been moved, and chaos reigns. Luckily, we find a table. It's dirty, but we find it. The chairs are missing. Our order is taken almost 20 minutes later. The room is really noisy, so much so that it's difficult to chat with friends at the table. After eating our breakfast, we find ourselves in line again to pay. My only regret is for the poor waiter, who is otherwise very kind and helpful, who manages the entire upstairs by himself. (4 cappuccinos, 3 filled croissants, 1 biscuit) For €16.70, I would expect better service and management.

I'm giving it one star because I can't give it 0. It took them 25 minutes to bring me a chicken cutlet sandwich, which was also cold and cost me €9 without a drink. On top of that, I then asked for a glass of water and they charged me one euro. Slow and poor service. Disappointing food.
