Best in town!!! Non ci sono eguali dalla colazione all’aperitivo!!! Top a Genova!!!
Grazie, a presto…
A truly charming bar in the heart of Genoa! A meticulously crafted atmosphere, a welcoming atmosphere, and incredibly friendly staff. Excellent for both a leisurely breakfast and an aperitivo with friends. Excellent coffee and carefully crafted cocktails. A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. A must-see in the city center, I'll definitely be back!

This is a great place to meet friends, enjoy a professionally crafted cocktail, and an exquisite Genoese aperitif. I highly recommend this place! It's very clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the atmosphere!
The best place to start the day in a good mood and have a great breakfast. Perfect for a lunch break or a coffee (the best in the area). The cocktails are also fantastic for an aperitif with friends. The place is modern and elegant although the winning weapon is the kindness with which you are always welcomed. Once you try it you can no longer do without it. Definitely my favorite in Genoa
Excellent place for the quality of the food, the helpfulness, and speed of service, both at the tables and at the counter. Special aperitifs, and at lunchtime, you can enjoy first courses like poke, which I found delicious in both the presentation and the flavor. It was also prepared to suit my dietary needs. The coffee is excellent, with a delightful aroma, which in my opinion adds value to everything the place offers each and every customer. Thank you, Carmine, for your kindness, attention, and courtesy.
The best gourmet aperitif in town 😍 The cocktails are fantastic, of course, but the most spectacular thing is the 3-course aperitif that accompanies your exquisite cocktail 😍 There's a real chef in the kitchen, who prepares your gourmet dishes freshly 😋 Once you try it, it will quickly become a habit 😍 Cheers 🥂
We thought it would be expensive, given the location. No, it wasn't. Prices were average, but the service and selection were superior. Excellent cocktails with a truly extensive menu. The appetizers were perfect and plentiful. The place is charming, the restrooms clean. The interior is beautiful, and the outdoor terrace overlooking the Galleria Mazzini is magical. Highly recommended. We returned, and I can confirm the above.
Beautiful place, good wines and cocktails, young staff
I'm having a hard time giving this place a star rating. On the one hand, I might give it 4 or 5, on the other, 2 or 3. I was waiting for someone and went into this bar with a colleague for a hot drink. The place is larger and better designed than I expected. We sat down but quickly changed seats because the music was too loud and the sound system (which was excellent, by the way) blasted out bass that I honestly couldn't understand at 3 PM. We ordered two croissants and two coffees. The croissants were excellent, clearly from a bakery and not mass-produced. The coffee was decent (but it depends on your taste). The service was quick and very courteous. The bathrooms were modern, basic, and clean. This is a major plus because too often, even in the best bars and restaurants, you encounter utter neglect. Well done! What left us perplexed were many details that denoted a certain neglect that lowered—and not a little—the quality of the place. The back wall of the place is covered in beautiful dark gray striped wallpaper, very cute; the bathroom door is camouflaged by the wallpaper, and customers are left puzzled as to where to go because... a "Toilet" sign is missing. In an hour, three people (plus the four of us) couldn't figure out where the restrooms were and had to ask either us or the bartenders. With €5 on Amazon or in China, this inconvenience to customers could be avoided. Clearly, the place wasn't set up three months ago, so some "wear or aging" of the materials is to be expected; but in these cases, I believe the owner has a duty to fix it... The corner of the bathroom door and the corresponding section of wall are black from the thousands of hands that have touched them to open and close them. Truly awful. It would be enough to replace that meter of wallpaper or invent something. I'm sorry, but that mess doesn't belong in a bar in Galleria Mazzini. The same goes for the baseboard area. I understand the humidity, a problem for those at street level. But should we remove the paint and refinish just the bottom? And again... The iron tables have "legs" that have blackened and rusted over time. There's no point in throwing them away... An on-site craftsman, with a good spray can, can fix this at a reasonable cost. Furthermore (I believe it's an inherent problem with the table) they are mostly limp. Many have napkins folded underneath like wedges to keep the drinks from tipping over: I'd suggest checking them and finding a solution. A real shame, because the atmosphere is nice. Last suggestion: The young bartender (who wasn't the one who served us), even though she saw us ready to pay at the register, had to keep the phone call going for at least 3 or 4 minutes. This is not an acceptable approach, I repeat, especially for a centrally located place like yours. Explain to her that the customer comes first. Put them on hold, charge them (30 seconds), and get back on the phone. I'll be back because I'll be in the area every month. Maybe the owner will take the constructive criticism and fix it.
I'm editing my review because it was too harsh, as I wasn't aware of the additional costs for the small plate (I recommend indicating when ordering that those who choose to have an aperitif will have to add €6 per person to the cost of the drink) and the cost of the drinks. I didn't find the manager's response very professional, but I still want to be objective and constructive because I know how difficult and stressful it is to run a place. A convenient place for a quick aperitif in the center, not too elegant, so it's also perfect for coming with children. When ordering, for three spritzes, a glass of wine, a strip of focaccia, a small bottle of water, and a small plate of appetizers, €50! Not bad, but I don't know if I'll be back. For the same price, I can find places that better meet my needs! Thanks.
Weord place but fine. They hot a great cocktails menu made with high standards. Maybe because was Christmas but service was not the best.
Not a regular customer, but every time I come downtown... at lunchtime we always get sandwiches or paninis that I've always ordered at the counter because I can choose by saying I'll sit down. A juice and a bottle of mineral water are also included. The wait for drinks is 5 minutes. I got up and before I could speak, I was "run over": can't you see how many people there are? And then he ordered at the counter to skip the line. And, raising his voice more and more as we tried to answer: and then for two sandwiches! They'll be the last ones.
We're out wandering with colleagues, looking for an aperitif, and we decide to stop and try a new place. I'm a stickler for detail, and I notice a certain clash between the pretentious elegance and the chipped metal (a paper placemat, right?) and a limited list of cocktails, which are, in fact, somewhat more original than usual. I'd like to try one that includes ginger, and I ask if it's possible to substitute it with the other ingredients. I would have preferred a straight no, rather than a series of back-and-forths that ended with my "you decide, as long as it doesn't have ginger" and then received the drink exactly as it was written... to avoid any "suggestion," I also let the other diners taste it, and I'd heard right. A little annoyed, my critical spirit sharpens, and I take a closer look at the pasta topped with a lavish, artless sauce, which would have looked much better on, say, a white salad, especially served on dinner plates! When service returns, I point out that my drink still had ginger in it: "I'll point that out." No other attempt to compensate, such as asking if I'd like another, an extra saucer for the table, just as a proper apology... nothing. As for me, I won't be returning, nor will I, of course, recommend it to others, but here comes the recurring criticism of Genoese hospitality, which unfortunately is often too focused. Post-reply: Carmine points out that, instead of ginger, I would have asked for Ginger Beer, which—as the name suggests, as it is the translation—derives from ginger. True, but I challenge anyone to drink a drink called "ginger" and recognize the original flavor of ginger... in any case, that's what I asked for, which is why another employee came to the table to explain that, since it's fizzy, it couldn't be used in the cocktail making process; I didn't want to go on too long in the review, but at this point I replied that it was no problem, and to use whatever ingredient they deemed appropriate, "AS LONG AS IT'S NOT GINGER." And the feeling that the drink was made with the idea of "you'll see he won't notice" lingers like a sore thumb... I never said that the chipped table is unhygienic! It's just UGLY, and it's no coincidence that I compared it to the -supposed- elegance of the place, not the "supposed cleanliness." As for the pasta with tomato sauce, I don't see any defense, perhaps there isn't one ;) No, I won't go back: it's better to think about customer service first, and I'm happy for you if you had hundreds of guests; when we arrived, only a couple of tables were occupied (you can see it in the photo), so a little extra attention wasn't a difficult task.
My friend and I were waiting for a concert at the Teatro Carlo Felice, and she felt like drinking a large cup of ginseng, while I decided to abstain due to personal health issues. A kind young woman approached us, and we asked if we could sit down and took a table for two. After five minutes of waiting, I heard a bartender loudly shouting, "We need to bring two ginsengs to that table at the back," in an offensive, mocking tone. To avoid unnecessary arguments, we got up and left. I'm sure this wasn't a big loss for you, I realize, but know that if this is your attitude toward politeness, over time you may miss your customers, big or small. As a Genoese, even though I know the city isn't known for its hospitality, I'm ashamed of this attitude because if I were a tourist, I'd take home a negative memory of the city in terms of hospitality and courtesy. Use good manners, and if you haven't been taught it, learn it. I'm replying to your post: It would have been better to apologize, but you're obviously too presumptuous and not very humble. I heard the sentence clearly, and it was referring to us because he was looking at our table. In any case, it makes little difference whether your education, acquired or learned, is questionable. Best regards
