We recently visited this amazing restaurant for the second time and felt compelled to write a review. The Mediterranean egg whites were absolutely delicious, and the breakfast bowl was equally impressive. The egg sandwich was a standout as well. The food was so plentiful and tasty that we had to take some home for the next day! The dishes are not only yummy but also healthy, making it a perfect spot for a satisfying meal. The service was exceptional. Artemis went out of their way to help us clarify a cappuccino order, ensuring we had the perfect drink to complement our meal. We loved everything about our experience here. If you’re looking for amazing, healthy food with fantastic service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

With 5 other coffee shops and 2 bagel shops in a 1 block radius, it’s hard to stand out but For Five takes the lead with friendly staff, comfortable seating, and great tasting coffee.

Food amazing, both taste and presentation. The ambiance is very chill, definitely a place to relax.

The best croissants and espresso drinks on the block. The outdoor seating is ample, spacious and comfortable. Reminds me of the French and Italian style cafe culture in Fort Lauderdale. A slice of home in NY. Also, this is the only place outside of Miami I found who could make a Cuban style Café con Leche!

Pricy but delicious. Just discovered this place and I’m afraid of how obsessed I’m about to be😩 The breakfast sandwich was absolutely sinful and the coffee was perfect. 100/100. The staff was also delightful which is hard to find in an area like this.

Love the workers, love the vibes, coffee is good but average. The for five with the orange slice is really good tho.

As swanky as a coffee shop can be. Great atmosphere, good music, large selection of classic coffee-shop drinks. Be prepared to pay premium prices. Always packed with customers, which is a credit to them!

This cafe is a much needed space for true coffee afficionados. Nassau needed something outside of Dunkin and Starbucks. Five Coffee only opened the day before yesterday and so far we have been here consecutively. I'm a photographer and love a good espresso while I work. The atmosphere is modern and classy. Plenty of outdoor seating and a personal family touch with the staff, whom are quite attentive. Alexis is a gem behind the counter... we loved the breakfast and carrot cat. This will definitely be our new work spot. Thanks! Kris

I love this spot There’s plenty of indoor seating in a nice atmosphere. All comfy seating: booths, high tops, low counters, and chairs. Tried their cookies and despite normally hating cookies that arent warm and gooey they were soo delicious. Very rich!

I was confused as to why a coffee shop sells steak. I decided to get it for fun. I was pleasantly surprised. It was great, highly recommend. Love the setup and atmosphere of this coffee shop. Rare gem on Long Island.

I liked this place because of the location, is really convenient parking lot, peaceful to have outdoor dining, barista and cashier very friendly, you don’t get to interact too much with personnel in there (that’s fine) I strongly recommend with spring/summer weather is great to eat outside if you have kids, inside you get a bit uncomfortable being loud because there are always lots of people working on computers even on Sundays Every plate is big enough for brunch time and stay full the rest of the day, worth every penny Flavorful food and Fresh

Great place, great food, lots of options, helpful, and friendly staff. Andrew and Claudia spent a lot of time educating me on different types of coffee since I’m not an expert.

I’m a BIG fan of this coffee shop. Perfect place to bring your laptop, connect to reliable wifi + power outlet, and get some work done alongside a quality coffee. Atmosphere is really lively with lots of folks around and lots of fellow laptop workers. Big windows and healthy food options are huge perks as well.

We stopped in while visiting from out of state. We had never been to any of the "For Five" locations. The place is really large. Located on 7th in Garden City it has both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered Gotham Mocha lattes and breakfast. The food was excellent! Very fresh and appealing. The lattes were very good. The place is pricey. It was about $67 for coffee and two breakfast entrees so know that before you go. We enjoyed it though.

I have never felt so welcomed and excited to be at a coffee shop A shop employee came up to me and talked me through the menu and the wonderful batista did a phenomenal job of entertaining customers as she made the best coffee I've ever had!

Wow I didn't expect such amazing food at a coffee shop but this place is a gem 💎. The Mediterranean bowl was so filling and the falafels were freshly made. My friend got the peach French toast which was also delicious. It was pretty busy but the cafe is big so we found seating. There is also parking in the back. Will definitely be back!

I'm not sure if this was in my head or not but the espresso tasted almost...if not THE same as when I visited Italy. It was so good that I waited for the ice to melt when I finished my coffee then drank that too just to taste it one last time lol. I gotta say they are expensive but I would totally pay for this again. I also ordered a pastry that had spinach and maybe feta? I'm not sure but man that was soooooo tasty as well, totally greasy which was not good but somehow still very tasty. 5 stars because of the taste, the cafes design and ambiance and the one lady who assisted me for my order was the sweetest. Then...As I waited for my coffee there was a woman on her phone texting as if no orders were to be made...but that's 2023 for ya.

Wonderful spot for studying, getting work done, or hanging out with friends!! The food may seem pricey but it is very high quality with a large portion size. I was only able to eat half of my toast with sirachi cream cheese, egg, and lox! Coffee was also excellent.

Been here a few times. Their coffee is good and nice ambience. Their food is definitely worth a try though. A little pricey but I have loved everything off the menu I’ve tried so far. Nice place to stop in for lunch or to get some work done with a drink.

From someone who lives out of state and only gets to come back and visit for holidays, For Five has easily become my must-stop spot when I’m home. Their menu is absolutely delicious with so many unique and delicious options to choose from. This is the perfect spot to grab a quick lunch and coffee with friends or study for a massive exam. The ambiance is such a laid back vibe and the staff is so kind and helpful. If I went to school in the area, I definitely would be using this as a study spot because it’s also relatively quiet. All of the food that I tried was fantastic. The Loaded Salmon Sriracha Toast is the most delicious toast that has a sriracha cream cheese piled high on sourdough with salmon, egg, capers, pickled red onions, and smoked salmon. The Peach French Toast was absolutely gorgeous and I must say, tasted just as fresh and delicious as it looked. The Birria Grilled Cheese is a personal favorite that hits every single time. It’s got a little kick so be prepared, but it is packed with great flavors. The Burrata Pesto sandwich was also another crowd pleaser as the combination of pesto and burrata is just too good to pass up. If you get the chance to stop by, definitely do because I go whenever I’m home and it never disappoints!

Calming atmosphere + delicious food! Absolutely loved the interior of the place. The staff and service was fast and efficient. Outside sitting was just as lovely as inside. Definitely recommend for a breakfast/ brunch with friends and family. Recommendations: Matcha macadamia lavender latte: sweet matcha w light creamy milk and strong lavender flavour Avocado crush :super delicious avocado w onion and egg comes with side salad (dressing super good) Overnight oats: sweet and delicious Crossiant: fluffy and buttery

Searched for cafes near me and found this one. It was aesthetically pleasing from the pictures so I went. I ordered a hot caramel latte with coconut milk and a croissant and a chocolate chip muffin and wasn’t disappointed! If it wasn’t so packed inside I would have sat down, but I took it to go instead. I will definitely be back to try more of the food and drinks they offer!

Visit Date: January 20, 2026 I got the LI cafe passport book from my co-worker for Christmas. In January I got to go to two coffee shops in this book, for five was the second one. I went with one of my friends. We both had the mochas and I had a shot of espresso because the book recommended it. The espresso was good, not overly bitter, pretty much just right. The mocha was amazing a good ratio of chocolate, coffee and espresso. It was pretty busy here and the atmosphere was nice. The snacks looked really good maybe one day I'll go back for a pastry. I give for five five stars and five beans and would recommend coming here if you like coffee shops.

Great spot! Very busy too! Great vibe. Lots of people hanging and chatting and even many with their laptops out working. In addition to the pastries and such that you see and the items in the case that you can grab yourself, there is also a menu to order from. The food items were really good. I would only add that the prices are $$$$. Just so you are not shocked. Go enjoy a cup of coffee alone or with a friend 😋.

Food is considered a bit pricey to me, but I do find it to be delicious and consistent no matter the location. Service is quality. Baristas are kind, welcoming and helpful. Above all, I can study in peace without anyone kicking me out or indicating to leave now. FYI. I only ever order the same food, occasionally switch up my drinks. I wish I knew before about the rewards card.

A great upscale local coffee shop serving great drinks and fantastic food. On top of the great coffee, tea, and baked goods, there's a pretty solid food menu full of fantastic breakfast and brunch options. Everything is definitely on the upscale side, so be prepared for higher price points for everything. It's a super modern, bright, clean, and spacious cafe, with plenty of tables, chairs, couches and armchairs. It's a great place to get some work done, read, or catch up with a friend over coffee or a meal. The staff are really friendly and attentive. You order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to your table, and pick things up after. Overall, a fantastic spot in a great neighborhood!

I was very impressed with For Five. The atmosphere was clean and classy, the food was delicious and filling, and the coffee was incredible! Keep in mind, you don't get waited on while you're here; you pick wherever you want to sit and you order at the register. They give you a table number and then your order is brought out to you. The line can get long to order and it can be annoying waiting in line instead of waiting at your table to order. I've had a lot of the food items on the menu, I have yet to be disappointed with any of them. There are plenty of options ranging from steak and salads to pancakes and oatmeal. They pride themselves on their coffee that they roast daily, and I have to say that it's definitely one of the better East Coast roasts that I've had. Hot or iced it's all delicious. Highly recommend trying some of their flavored lattes.

I came here twice primarily to work and on both occasion the WiFi did not work (I asked a couple people around me and it didn’t work for them.) For that reason alone, I wouldn’t recommend it as a work spot. However, the people there are very nice, and the coffee and food are delicious (if not slightly expensive!)

I love the location in Manhasset so I was excited to see them open in Garden City! I ordered the peach French toast, a fruity pebble cookie and a freedo cappuccino to go. The French toast was unfortunately underwhelming, pretty small portion and nothing special presentation wise however, the coffee was awesome and the cookie was fantastic! So overall, peach French toast not recommended but still a great place and I'm glad they're closer. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful coffee shop in a great location. Service was great, very considerate and accommodating of my allergies. Main downside is the price. $7.75 for an iced coffee lol. Nice as an occasional treat though

I think this is a nice place to go on a date or meet up with friends. I don’t think this is a good place to get studying/work done, but that could just be my personal preference of wanting a more chill place. The music is super loud. I’d say about 50% of people here were doing work/studying, where the other half is more social. Drinks were great, but I think everything is overpriced. $10 for a latte is unreasonable in my opinion. $20 for a sandwich is even crazier. I did enjoy the ambiance though.

S
Shegufta Razzaque

Ordered the peaches and French toast. Presentation was lovely (pictured). While fairly decent, I think the French toast could have been cooked at a lower heat for a slightly longer period of time to get a better balance between a soggy inside vs chewy crust. I think people with a preference for English puddings would probably really like the moisture consistency of the inside but personally I prefer a more balanced and consistent texture where the inner bread is soft but not wet-squishy. Not bad, but for the price I was expecting to be more impressed

K
Krysta

The coffee is amazing but unfortunately the service is the complete opposite. The staff t bothered to be there and have a poor attitude. The shop is beautiful, whoever designed the interior did a 10/10 job and the product doesn’t disappoint. Your staff on the other hand did disappoint customer service wise.

B

Big and spacious coffee shop in the middle of Garden City. The coffee is really good, and I absolutely love the esthetic of the coffee bar. They have a sit down menu, and tons of pastries. The cinnamon twist I ordered was very stale. Tons of seating outside and inside, a great place to stop by for a gourmet coffee!

D
Dania Jallad

Their lattes are really good but can’t say the same for the rest of the drinks, the hot chocolate, mocha, and teas have been terrible. Great atmosphere to work and the outdoor seating is really nice, only issues are there’s only one restroom that’s usually taken and the music is always far too loud.

Cozy place to grab coffee and breakfast. Nice seating area both indoor and outdoor. Friendly staff. Coffee still has room to improve since this is roaster brand.

This coffee restaurant is so cute and have many options for bakery items or coffee. I tried a dish that they also which is the Nutella pancakes but they put way too much Nutella in it and the pancakes were a bit dry. On the other hand I did try their cookies and they are really good just that each one cost $6

Loved this place! It can get busy until noon, but it's a spacious and charming coffee shop, perfect for enjoying a decent breakfast. The avocado toast is one of my favorites, though I wouldn't recommend their hot chocolate. It is a bit expensive for breakfast, but it's a great space to sip coffee and get things done, with outlets available for charging your devices.

Well rounded coffee house; but - I would've liked a larger list of fun coffee to choose from. The caramel apple cookie was delightful and the back outdoor area was breezy and pleasant. Coffee wasn't bad, we had the two specialty flavors - not what I wanted; however good nonetheless. Will definitely return.

First time in this location. Great space. 🦋Inside and outside seating available 🦋Different areas to sit and enjoy your time here. 🦋 parking lot in front 🦋 loved my spinach pastry. It was very filling and delicious. 🦋 at first I was having a very hard time connecting to the Wi-Fi. I asked the staff and all, it wasn’t connecting at all…until I went to the manager and they went and rebooted the Wi-Fi and finally got it. 🦋 very spacious and big area, but there’s only one co-ed bathroom available (be aware) 🦋I wasn’t too fond of the lady in the desk, she was impatient with me while I was trying to figure out how i like my coffee… 🦋I did enjoy my mocha though with vanilla syrup. Overall I do recommend for coffee lovers

5 star for the interior design and the atmosphere. The place feels like a fancy hotel lounge with a clean and modern look. Many customers use the place to work/study. Music is a bit lot for a coffee shop.

When I am on seventh street visiting friends at Adelphi university this is a great place to study and hang out because of it's amazing atmosphere. It's almost like you're in a living room, it's homely while sleek and modern. I come with my friends very often and I basically lived here one week last year. The drinks and pastries are a little pricey for my pocketbook, hence the point off, but the quality is there. Their various loafs and gooey chocolate chip cookies are especially standout items. The baristas and cashiers are very friendly and always willing to help. If you're willing to give starbucks, dunkin or the french workshop down the street a break, give this place a shot.

Had a quick bite here and was pleasantly surprised at how cozy this place was. Very spacious with an open concept. I loved how they have sample dishes out so you can actually see what you’re getting. Perfect for people who are very visual like me. I need photos on the menu but this was a great alternative too!

I love their bare Espresso station! Amazing sandwich bread, croissants, etc. Confusing entrance and exit: you don't know if you're supposed to seat yourself or what. My friend and I were walking around aimlessly for about half a minute, clueless. Then even more confusion when after you order: they give you a numbered sign to bring back to your table, but they still call out your drink by name... They should let you know this, or have a sign. It's spacious enough, the food's delicious, but that rear door really lets in the wind: Surprise, napkins from a few tables gone. They seem to have a lot of outdoor seating, so I would recommend going during the warmer months.

Really love this coffee shop/cafe. The venue is open and well lit and always has a solid crowd with some working at tables and other eating or picking up coffee. Was nice out so was able to sit outside too which was great. Had their chicken Caesar sandwich along with a raspberry team and a cookie. Great casual workday vibe and delicious sandwich. I’ll be back!!!!

Good coffee shop in garden city NY . Great location. Very good latte’s. Priced slightly higher but worth their coffees. Love their interiors . Lots of place to sit and sip a fresh coffee. Breakfast is slightly expensive . Didn’t order any. Service was good . Parking is a little crazy around this area. It’s road side parking and tough to get in peak hours . Liked the experience overall .

At first glance the esthetics of this spot gives an upscale coffee shop/bakery/hip remote work space! You can dine inside or out, the choice is based on your personal preference really, because both areas are lovely! Despite the many coffee options, I keep my coffee simple, I ordered a traditional drip with cream, and my cup was delivered full enough to touch the brim, no room to add sugar and searing hot! So yes, you definitely get your money’s worth in the $3.00 cup, but they charge a few cents for cream. I wasn’t bothered though, this coffee was so full of rich flavor, I would have gladly paid more. Check the shelf near the restroom for a variety of full bean house blends for purchase. If you are as hungry as a hostage, I recommend you order the Country Style Breakfast Plate. It includes scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, seared tomatoes, sliced avocado (a half of an avocado) , three slices of Canadian bacon, and two pieces of fried Halloumi Cheese. Now guys this is easily enough food for two, and if we are feeding children, three, so it is well worth the price point. The avocado toast was beautiful, I observed it from another diner at the table, across from me. And while I don’t enjoy poached eggs, these were nestled like a sleeping bird in a nest of lettuce, the presentation alone made me want to try them. Yes, you will find a nice selection of cakes and pastries, I advise you to give them a try because they looked scrumptious and freshly baked. I am not often on this side of New York, but when I am, I enjoy different spots, especially those with a nice cup of coffee, and this guys was a winner and worth the stop. And ladies, the restroom was clean, and well stocked despite being unisex which I am not fond of no matter where I am. So if you find yourself in Garden City looking for a nice cup of coffee and something to eat, check out For Five Coffee, and don’t forget to tell them Unnerved Traveler sent you! Enjoy Unnerved Traveler

I had the pleasure of visiting this location. It was a sunny day and folks were out and about so the place was jumping. We came to get a quick bite to eat. The food was great. I mostly enjoyed the rainbow 🌈 cookies. As for the coffee it was ok but was a little expensive for my taste. I will say the atmosphere was very relaxed. Read a book, converse or just gaze out the window.

I’ve come a few times and the food is pretty good though priced higher than expected for a coffee shop. The decor is lovely but it’s such a big space and only has one bathroom. There is constantly a line which is pretty inconvenient when you’re working or hanging with friends. The cookies are delicious though. Most drinks I liked but the PSL didn’t taste right to me. Overall, it’s a nice place to pop in but bathroom access is a huge let down. Please create another one for customers

Great food and coffee but service is slow, and prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Spent $9 on a Vanilla Cappuccino (To-Go) could have gone to Starbucks to pay half of that.

I love to eat here when I'm in the neighborhood. It's a fun place to hang out and eat! Update today I ordered coffee with half and half on the side. She gave it to me inside. Hmm language issue? I also asked about my order and the guy said "the CHICKEN is busy" for kitchen. Great. Smh Also helpful hint, eggs benedict does not have spinach in it. Eggs Florentine does. I ordered the first and it was wrong. Bring back the Huevos Rancheros.

M
Melissa Roldan

i’ve been coming here since the doors opened. the workers smiled, were friendly, and interactive - not so much anymore - no smiles, no real interaction and often on phones! the barometer of all pastries the croissant has ZERO taste or structure, more like what you find in a grocery store…so why would i try anything else. thankfully the coffee is still good…

M
Madeline Justiniano

Definitely a casual cafe, they have a lunch/breakfast menu but I wouldn’t bother with it. I ordered the peach French toast and was disappointed to realize it was canned peaches spooned over undercooked French toast. For the price point (21)I was expecting something more gourmet. Not a great date spot either, the music was grating and everyone seemed to be studying. 😉I ordered tea and had to remind the barista to make it, clearly they don’t have the best service either. Tea was decent, my date had a piece of cake he very much enjoyed.

T

Had breakfast at For Five while visiting garden city. I ordered the country breakfast and my wife ordered the breakfast sandwich with coffee. The place was very busy, however the line moved quickly. The service was decent. The 3 stars were for the coffee, and the food. The coffee was very weak in my opinion for a ‘coffee shop’ not what I had expected. Our food portion was huge (I guess justifying the price) a little too much for breakfast and the taste of the food kind of bland and needed some seasoning.

A
Alt

It’s a hit or miss here. If you’re just strictly going to have a drink or food real quick or with a friend for a chat it’s ok. If you’re going to possibly study and be on your laptop then it’s not ideal, wifi is unreliable and not always working. This place charges top $$$ for their entire menu and won’t invest in better WIFI. It’s a disappointment and poor business practice imo. Music can be too loud sometimes, the indoor temperature control is inconsistent so it gets cold or hot randomly. It’s a nice place and could be soooo much better but something’s off about this place. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like a welcoming place to be.

L
Lily D

WiFi works great, numerous access to charge devices, staff is very friendly, coffee is great, food is okay but not worth the price point. Can get a little noisy with surrounding conversations around lunchtime but that is expected. Major downside is music is SUPER loud. Not too sure if staff would be willing to turn it down a little, it can get super busy so I understand it’s probably not their biggest priority. Other than that it’s an okay place to get some work done but it’s great if you want to drink some coffee and catch up with a friend.

G
Gabriela Andrade

Upset that I paid about 20+ for greek yogurt with fruit and it looks like they cut up on strawberry and place puree unfresh ones underneath. Disappointment. For this amount I expected fresh fruit.

S
Sole Mate

Loud and pricey. I ordered a plate consisting of scrambled eggs, ham, avocado, cheese all of them are too salty. I waited for 20 minutes and asked if I could cancel my order as I couldn’t concentrate on my reading with the loud music and chatter of customers. I requested to speak with the manager who did not even offer any apologies for the poor service. Only after I complained did they serve me. The ham is canned surely. The only consolation is that their roasted coffee (I ordered large collate for $8.50!) was fresh and delicious. Go for the coffee (only to go). That’s it. Don’t bother for the other items. Go somewhere else.

K
Keri Maletto

Love the atmosphere, and love the food menu. We had the Falafel Mediterranean and the Four Five Chopped salad and both were delicious. Generous portions and super quality. I give all 5 stars here. The coffee experience, on the other hand, was just okay. My husband got an Oat milk latte and I got an iced Matcha Latte. His said his was very bland and forgetful and I felt that my matcha was tasteless. It felt like I was drinking milk with a slight matcha taste. When I questioned the overly milky composition, the barista came back with an attitude and said, “it’s a latte” as he snickered. That’s not what I expect if I nicely comment that I may not be happy with my drink. I should have been met with, what do you want more of? Or how can I fix it for you? I felt so thrown by the comment and snicker he made that I walked away to sit down but then realized that I paid for a drink and it should be as I desire. So, I walked back up. While the drink was messed with to try and satisfy rather begrudgingly, I think I just realized not to order this drink here again. For the record, I drink Matcha Lattes at least once a week from a very high end coffee shop where I live, many places while traveling and I even make them at home, so I know how they should look and taste, and this wasn’t it. The reason I say that is he continued to “school” me on why I may be totally wrong in my expectations. So for this interaction, I will give this place a 3 and probably not come back for coffee/tea.

Amazing WFH atmosphere but I spent one million dollars on a latte today, maybe i should have got a small lol. But in what world does an iced caramel latte with whole milk cost $11.

Bake goods and coffee is decent but extremely overpriced. Eight dollars for a slice of carrot pound cake and $13 for a matcha latte is ridiculous. There are tastier bakeries and cafes with nice atmosphere in Manhattan for less.

One line review - Only for leisure. Not for work. Food was delicious and the coffee hit the spot. Staff is helpful. It was decently crowded, but we still managed to find a nice spot to sit. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is basically a scam — doesn’t work, and it seems like the staff are in on it (confirmed by other reviews too). I had planned to spend a relaxed afternoon working there, but without internet, I had to cut my visit short.

The reviews are accurate. The food is overpriced and not worth it. $10.00 for a “chocolate” croissant with no chocolate is rough. My husband got a ham and cheese croissant ($10.00) and said it was not worth it either. I got a capuccino ($5.00) nothing special, not the worse, not the best. The service was fast and the lounge area is very nice, modern and clean, a lot of space inside and they also have tables outside.

I usually love their matcha as it use to be very high quality and ceremonial grade. It seems they have recently changed it and the taste is very bitter. Other than that, the atmosphere is very nice and my husband loves their cappuccinos.

I used to come here all the time especially when it first opened, even ordered multiple times through food apps. It is pricey but I always thought everything was great. The service has completely gone downhill. I ordered a drink which I’ve ordered various times and made adjustments too with no issues but there seemed to be an issue this time. (I went back to my food app orders to confirm if I indeed ordered the right drink) The girl at the counter made a face when I ordered as if something was wrong, and I even stated “I believe this is the one I always get” and instead in true customer fashion advising the proper way, she made a dirty face in which I addressed and said “oh is something wrong since you made a face.” She stated “oh it’s a premade drink and can’t customize” - instead of just advising it that way from beginning without me calling her out on her dirty face, I would have understood and easily changed my order with no hesitation. From someone who works in high level customer service, I do not believe this was the right way. There was another woman next to her who was much more cheerful and I made direct eye contact when I addressed her coworkers nasty attitude, in which she gave me my drink and was so nice and had much better energy. Customer service is not easy and everyone has their days which I understand but I was extremely nice from the beginning and one thing is to be mindful of your facial expressions. I even still tipped regardless of her service.

Our 1 star review is really because myself and my seven yr old son truly felt our last visit was really worth 0. Staff is great but the food isn’t. Although we have been here several times, we felt like something changed. Our food was horrible. The what used to be delightful bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was one of the worst. I could not even eat half. The bacon was barely cooked(serious health hazard), the egg to croissant ratio was bad(way too much egg) and it was greasy. Now onto my son’s pancakes and bacon. Pancakes were delicious, but bacon was uncooked. When we pointed it out, they brought burnt bacon. Finally, we got somewhat crispy bacon that was also extremely oily. Please adjust the food quality to match the high price tag. Really, if was much better before.

This review is based on nickel and dimming principles. Let’s start off by saying this place is beautiful design wise, La Marzocco MOD Bar along with great display of pastries and furniture but that’s it really. As it pertains to the service and quality of the products, I highly recommend the peach French toast it was good but as for the rest…… The baristas treat you like you don’t know anything even if you have years of experience like myself. They don’t dial in the espresso, and they will boil your milk. Such a shame for such high level equipment with no one who knows how to use it. For price it’s slightly above avg for Manhattan, oat/almond $.95, latte 12oz $5.50, hot water is $1.50

This place is ridiculously expensive, in other items, except the coffee. Service is terrible and the music is loud, I couldn’t hear anyone else talking on my table. Has like bar music… it’s a coffee shopppp… with meals that are expensive than in a restaurant

I stopped here to grab a quick latte. It said the large latte was $6, I ordered an iced large Carmel latte with almond milk. I assumed the almond milk would likely be an up charge, however my total before tip was $10.93. I guess they charged extra for the flavor as well? No idea how it jumped by almost $5 difference but honestly save your money. It didn’t even taste like a latte it tasted like burned iced coffee with 0 Carmel flavor and even though I didn’t ask for sugar free anything it also had a sugar free taste to it. It ended up in the trash and I wasted my money. The place was cute but the prices were worse then Manhattan. Definitely won’t be back.

This was a 1 and done for us. 1st didn't realize it was an "upscale " panera. The lady at the register was very distracted and seemed confused with everything we ordered. I will give this place A+ for plating presentation, but they sacrifice the food for the look. My plate had so much arugula it totally overwhelmed and I removed 95% of it. The bread wasn't toasted so the tomato started to make it soggy and the taste overall was average at best. The other plate the cream cheese under the eggs just made the eggs cold and took away from the taste and the fact that the eggs and prosciutto were seperate on each side meant you either had to deconstruct to mix the 2 or you only tasted 1 at a time. It was packed with young people so I guess they are just following the fad.

Overpriced food that is very mid, Wi-Fi has not worked in over a year and a half, the only saving grace is that their coffee is good, although they do seemingly get annoyed when I order a Pour Over because they have to manually boil water. Lol. I don’t know why I keep faith that this place will get better. I am still looking for a cafe to comfortably do work in Garden City when I step out of the office because this place is just not it.

One of the worst café experiences I’ve had. The staff were visibly bored, disengaged, and seemed annoyed to even be there. Our coffee was made and left sitting on the counter with no announcement, no name called, and no attempt to inform us. We had to figure it out ourselves. The pastry situation was just as bad ,a flaky pastry dumped into a cheap brown paper bag, not a plate in sight, zero presentation, zero care. For all of this, we paid $20, which is laughably overpriced for such poor service and lack of basic hospitality. This place clearly doesn’t value customers. Save your money and go elsewhere.

i think it’s incredibly concerning that you allow your employees to talk out of character to customers . me and my boyfriend had went to this place for french toast ! not only did that take close to 40 minutes . but the wifi was horrible . my boyfriend has to transfer money and wasn’t able to do so due to the low connection in the store . one the cashiers that took us said “ you can have someone in here pay for your meal “ . are you assuming all people of color are broke ? was it because of my outift ! i don’t look rich enough to you . this happened about two and half weeks ago ! i decided to want to come back here but i decided to write this post since i was told the “ manager” can’t talk to me today ! i called today 6/20 to speak to the manager and the worker is going to tell me well the manager isn’t here , “ can i take a message “ .this worker also didn’t take my message or name , just hunged up fast … i will step my foot in this place to speak to a manager . i am black woman i shouldn’t be racially profiled and stereotyped . nor should my boyfriend …this is how you loose customers . i felt very racially targeted. to anyone that is a person of color i would be very cautious of coming here . seems like the “skin” game “ never changes . i will be back up here to edit my post if things are “ changed “ . this is not how you carry a bussiness . customer curiosity matters . profiling people of color especially woman of color ? is really crazy to me i should report this to the higher up .

Worst experience I’ve ever had get coffee. I actually had to leave without getting my stuff. Don’t wait online in this place. Their process is a complete disaster. They don’t go in any kind of order. They don’t care about their customers. It’s way overpriced.

Honestly the crappiest cups of coffee. Idk what the hype is… their matcha is the only good thing they serve. The other locations make great coffee!!!

As a delivery driver, I’ve had multiple frustrating experiences with this place. Orders are rarely ready on time — I’ve had to wait 10, 15, even 20 minutes on several occasions, which throws off my entire delivery schedule and delays customer orders. What’s even more disappointing is the lack of acknowledgment or urgency from staff. No greeting, no updates — just standing and waiting while being ignored. I understand they may be busy, but delivery drivers are part of your service chain. Customers order expecting their coffee on time, and we’re here to make that happen. We deserve basic respect and consideration, just like in-person customers. I hope management sees this and improves their pickup process. Right now, it reflects poorly on both the business and the customer experience.

Great food. Great coffee. Beware of the tiny sign that says “service charge applies” - they add 4% to the bill regardless of cash or card. They said it was a cost of the POS system.

I came in and greeted one of the store representatives whom was very rude to me for just asking where do i go to pick up the uber order. The rep had blonde hair and was tall. She responded telling me to go to the back of the line . I’ve been in that coffee shop before and i never had a rep just blow me off and tell me to wait on line. I then reported this to uber. I work in customer service and sales and this is not how you treat customer’s.

Keepin' it real out here in Garden City. Decent vibes, located on a beautiful block with a nice cozy interior, average service, and the same can be said about the food and drinks. I’ve visited this place three times, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work all three times. On my third visit, I did a quick search through the reviews and found out that their Wi-Fi almost never works. Not a big deal to some people, but I do take things like this a little personally. I’d rather an establishment not provide Wi-Fi at all than mislead patrons by saying there’s Wi-Fi, only to intentionally ensure there’s no connectivity. (Just my opinion, no proof or evidence other than my experience and others’ reviews.) During my second visit a month ago, I asked the staff about the Wi-Fi issue, and the barista told me to keep trying; it can be spotty at times, but it would work. Looking back, I’m pretty sure the staff is all in on this because I wasn’t the only one asking about the Wi-Fi whenever I visited. Can't imagine how many people ask about it on a daily basis especially with a college nearby. Not sure if providing Wi-Fi is a mandate from headquarters, but either way, it would be much better practice to just get rid of the Wi-Fi completely instead of misleading people. I totally understand that having people sit there all day with just a small drink isn’t good for business, but the Wi-Fi situation just isn’t right. I’m open to being proven wrong because the café really fits my style, but it’s just very disappointing to order $20 worth of food and drinks the first few times (just a matcha latte the third time), only to sit down and realize the Wi-Fi still doesn’t work.

My recent visit to FOR FIVE left me feeling incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is disappointing considering I had initially hoped for a productive and pleasant working environment. Upon arrival, I purchased coffee and some sweets with my friends, fully intending to settle in and get some work done. However, throughout our stay, one of the staff members consistently stared at us, making prolonged eye contact and engaging in conversations with colleagues while seemingly fixating on our presence. This behavior created an atmosphere that felt intrusive and unsettling. Instead of feeling relaxed and able to concentrate, I found myself constantly distracted and on edge. It's disheartening to feel as though we were being singled out or discriminated against for being Spanish. Overall, while the coffee and sweets were enjoyable, the discomfort caused by the staff's behavior significantly overshadowed what could have been a pleasant experience I circle the lady who made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

l've rarely encountered such a rude and unwelcoming barista. I ordered a pour-over, but when I tried to simply watch the brew process, the barista was incredibly cold and dismissive, essentially refusing to let me see what she was doing. The elitist attitude continued throughout the transaction; she couldn't be bothered to tell me which beans she was using, and once the coffee was finished, she didn't even acknowledge me or announce that the drink was ready. It's a shame when a shop's "gatekeeping" attitude ruins the experience. There is no excuse for treating customers with that much contempt. I won't be returning to a place that makes me feel like an inconvenience for ordering a coffee.

Overpriced. And they sneak in extra fees just for adding flavor to my latte? The cost of this place makes other "Big Name" coffee shops seem like a poor man's coffee when I can get a latte for 650 down the block. Why the heck is anyone paying $10 let alone $6.50 for a coffee drink. I am never coming here again.

Very overpriced coffee and pastries. I paid almost $20 for a cappuccino and pastry. They told me the cappuccino only came in one size which is 8oz that was the smallest cup i’ve ever seen for the price and it was super bland. There was a long wait and the service was just lacking. Dunkin makes a better coffee if i’m being honest. I think people just pay for the name because for a coffee shop they suck.

I don't know when they have changed recipe for pancakes! What they are having now, it's terrible! Deep fried?
