If you’re looking for affordable AYCE KBBQ, Red Castle is worth checking out. They offer 3 AYCE options: Menu A $23.99 Menu B $26.99 Menu C $30.99 They had plenty of meat options depending on which tier you choose. We went with Menu C so we can order the ribeye, LA galbi, short rib finger, squid and tofu soup. There are also lots of side dishes to choose from which you order from a QR Code. It’s a casual spot with friendly service and for the price point, the value is impressive.
We had an amazing experience at Red Castle Korean BBQ, and a huge part of that was thanks to Wendy! Her customer service was truly exceptional from start to finish. She was warm, attentive, and made sure our table was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Wendy went above and beyond to check in on us, explain menu items, and ensure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. When an issue arose, she rectified it immediately with professionalism and care, which truly showed her dedication to excellent service. Her positive attitude and genuine kindness made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to come across service that feels both authentic and outstanding, and Wendy absolutely delivered. Thank you, Wendy, for your exceptional service — you made our visit memorable!
Waited for about 15 minutes and my party was seated in the back and were taught to use the QR code ordering system by our kind server. Every dish came out fast and the servers were very friendly and fast even though it was a busy lunch rush. The food was great tasting and I look forward to coming with more friends and family in the future.
I went there with my daughter she's been there before it was my first time. But it was great the food and prices was decent compared to other places I will definitely go back don't let the entrance fool you that place is big lots of room to sit. Love this place

We have been coming here for several years. The food is delicious high-quality meat fast service and good prices. My sister and I enjoyed a delicious meal tonight. Thank you so much for that amazing meal. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and they will get you in and out Feeling satisfied every time. Our personal favor is menu B. Love the brisket, bulgogi, beef belly!
First KBBQ restaurant of the new year! This is mine and my bf’s first time here. Parking: They’re located in a big plaza. Finding a spot is very easy. Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and it was poppin! Very spacious inside with plenty of seating for all group sizes. No outdoor seating. Service: I didn’t catch anyone’s names, but all the workers were quick, efficient, and attentive! Each worker constantly checked up on us which was much appreciated. Empty plates were also removed very quickly. Meats & sides: We went with Menu C that included both Menu A & B + more. We ordered sides from the tablet. You can order as many sides as you’d. All the meats tasted high quality! We enjoyed everything, but our favorites were the Red Castle Angus Beef Brisket, Red Castle Beef Belly, and LA Galbi! We also ordered more sides from the menu. The corn cheese came in a generous amount. The stone kimchi fried rice was sooo flavorful! My bf got the volcano steamed egg and tofu soup. The steamed egg came bubbling and cooked well, and the tofu soup tasted as expected. They also offer complimentary ice cream for desserts! Pricing: Wow these prices were definitely worth it! There’s a 1.5 hour limit. Trust me, this is all the time you’d need lol.
We had dinner there last week Thursday. There is ample parking. Service is friendly and helpful. They have three AYCE options. We went with the highest tier at $29.99 and is still very reasonable. We ordered several sides including kimchi, kimchi fried rice, steamed egg, tofu stew and tortillas. All the meat we ordered was fantastic. The beef tongue, beef belly and brisket are all highly recommended. Also, the ribeye bulgolgi steak is large and well marinated. Great food and great service will have us coming back again.
The place is in a little shopping center, parking was easy to find for sure! Service was fantastic! They were very attentive and they made sure that we got everything we needed and grill changes were very consistent. We got the premium menu at $29.99 per person and that did not disappoint! Here's what we ordered: •Beef Tongue •Ribeye Beef Bulgolgi Steak x 2 •Iron Bulgolgi Steak •Red Castle Angus Beef Brisket •Red Castle Beef Belly •LA Galbi x 2 •Tofu Soup •Jalapeno Pineapple •Stone Kimchi Fried Rice •Volcano Steamed Egg You order the meats and sides in person, you can order the Banchan on a tablet at your table! Everything was delicious and amazing! The meat quality was fantastic, and don't forget to order some tortillas to make tacos! (They're street taco sized) Come check this place out if you want great prices, amazing service, and a great time!
My family and I love this place. The food is fresh and very tasty. The sides are just as delicious. The prices are very reasonable for an all you can eat place. There are times they only have a few waiters and the food can take a while to get to you, but they're always trying their best to deliver the best service. I recommend this place 100%!!!
Service was good, it was not too busy when we arrived. We had to check in and wait for about 10 minutes, if not less to be seated. Once seated, our server came quick let us know to scan qr code for menu and got our drinks order. Food is good quality nothing really stood out from other kbbq. Environment is good, it does get loud, maybe because it's a little small but you still get good service from the staff. We will be back just because my kids did like this spot as well.
Good quality meats, fresh salad, decent side dishes. A good place to come for all you can eat Korean barbecue here at Red Castle. I like that you can border from a kiosk literally on your table for the water and side dishes as well. They also have alcohol! I really like the fast service, very efficient. Most places you wait 10 mins at runes but red castle comes within 5-6 mins to your table. I really like the prices, very reasonable, you must come to this place, our wait wandt that long either.
Went back for lunch and it was good overall. We choose package A since we just want one type of meat with salad and a pitcher of beer and that is it. Service is great, but once we started ordered on app, it just slow but we caught one of the helpers (Hispanic) and he was happy to help. The meat is fresh and tastes greatly. The grill work (this time) without problem. The place is old but clean and packed with the meat grilling smell so don’t wear anything fancy or you will be smell for awhile. Overall we had a great lunch here with good food and good services. Weekend or nightly can be packed but parking lot is big so no worry about finding parking.
The first time I ate here this became one of my favorite K BBQ spots. Last night we had a pretty whack experience. First time I came we ordered everything directly from the server, last night we were told to place our orders through our phone, which I would actually prefer more. Except none of our orders were coming out. I was sitting around waiting for things to come & had to eventually call the server to ask him why the food wasn’t coming. He looked at my phone and said he’ll go get it. They ended up bringing out a bunch of random stuff that we did not order. 🤨 On top of that They “ran out”of kimchi rice. not sure how they could run out of it when they had all the ingredients to make it. I think they just wanted everyone to leave and were rushing people to close. Toward the end, they did not want to bring us out one last meat. I told them of our experience how none of our food was even coming out, & when it finally did, they brought everything wrong- yet I didn’t complain. I just ate it. Also how I was disappointed about the kimchi rice because it’s one of the reasons I go there. & now that we only wanted one final meat to come out for last call…They refused to do it. really terrible Customer Service! Was horrible service overall. I really hope this was a one-time thing. The way we were treated would make me honestly never want to go back. Except I really do enjoy the quality of their food & menu that they offer. And the woman who helped us last time was phenomenal. So I hope this doesn’t happen again.
Been coming to Red Castle for years now ever since their Flower Pig days when I was a college student. Prices are definitely higher than before and similar to a couple other AYCE places but I find myself coming here for the familiarity. A few changes I like is I can order sides and meat with a QR code which improves efficiency. Service can be a hit or miss though, a few occasions it takes them forever to bring out an order. I noticed it also isn’t as busy as it was in the past, even on a weekend. There’s minimal wait now usually despite having a tablet near the front to put your name for the waitlist.
Food is amazing but the service is not good they ignored me and my partner but thank god for the AMAZING busser danilo he was more attentive than the actual staff! If I wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have sides
Servers are not very nice. Some of the orders were not delivered because we asked directly from servers. They wanted us to use QR code to order, it's just happened that we only had 1 phone at that time and battery was almost empty, so we are more comfortable ordering thru servers. Seems like they were avoiding us throughout our whole dine. We did not get side foods, nobody change our grilling thing, and nobody check if we have water. We had to go to the counter to get our water. We paid and left after few orders. We used to come here before, it was good, but it changed. If you'd like to have a good dining service and actually want to enjoy your food, I dont think this is the right place. We are not coming back here anymore.
It really show when come down to the saying of “ you get for what u pay for” this is my first and last time I’ll ever come. I’m from San Diego and we came to do a few things here in OC and we decided on this place due the reviews. The price per person ranges from $23-$30 and the wait wasn’t too bad only cause we came a good time before it started getting packed. There no AC inside the restaurant except the bathroom. It was so hot I saw they have ac unit but don’t use. It was showing 86 degree inside. I only know this cause I read it off the AC unit up in the ceiling. We were sitting for a good while before any of the servers came around to inform us how this place works. They could have at least said something in the beginning if this our first time there and the thing with QR code and we order our food through QR code and they have 10 minutes grace period. We were probably siting for like good 30 mins before anyone came. They really time you! You have 1 1/2 hrs to dine, but they take forever to bring ur item out, essentially u don’t get much out of eating in this place. They also don’t bring it right or none at all. They took forever getting our side dishes! Until like second round of meats we received it. The service was absolutely trash. They do have a good vary of food selection, I’ve gone to a few kBBQ here in SD and there a few item here in this place they don’t offer in SD so that was nice to experience and the quality of it was decent nothing that would make it stand out. The place was clean.
There were 2 of us with a half asleep toddler when we came in on a Monday night, it was not busy and there was no wait. We got sat right away and a taller younger man came to greet us when I tell him my toddler won’t be eating. He storms off throwing his hands up to let the older woman know. She then comes to tell us that he’s not allowed to seat if he’s not eating and that he’s taking up space and will be charging us for him. He in fact did not eat any food and we were charged for him being there. We’ve been here many times and it’s never been a problem before. She then said if he was shorter then 4ft he would be free (he was under 4ft) which she then proceeded to say he was going to be charged 50% off. How did it go from free to 50% off ? We’ve put up with the awful service for a long time but these 2 really did it for us. Will not be coming back. Had they just explained to us that their policy updated or if it was actually busier we would’ve been more understanding. I would give it 0 stars if I could but I’ll give them one since we had another very nice gentleman who gave us great service and consistently came to check if we needed anything and kept changing our grills.
Seats are terrible. I couldn't dined in here cause I hit/hurt my knee while trying to take a seat. I am a petite woman and I had a hard time getting out after I was half way in booth. My fiancé and I did not want to risk it and chose to go somewhere else. My fiance hit his knee as well. I had so much anxiety after leaving cause I was worried that I seriously injured my knee. Before leaving we chose to set on a table not a booth, table was imbalanced and chair was damaged. That's where we were likee.... we getting outta here!
Today I am craving Korean BBQ. I decided to stop by here. It's Thursday night around 6:30pm. I went with 4 people, and we went in without waiting since there were some tables still. Today's service was extremely bad! I can't believe it took them a while to bring out the meat. Also, we ordered some meat, and it came wrong, and some never even came out, even though we reminded them. When we paid the bill, a tip was added automatically, which is outrageous. Service was bad and they automatically added a tip! It was an automatic $20 for 4 people tip.
I didn’t want to come here but my friends kept insisting, and I should have trusted my gut. From the moment we walked in, it was chaos. The seating process is a joke; we were almost cut in line by another group because the staff doesn’t manage the floor. The service is where it really falls apart. We were told to scan the QR code, but after waiting 20 minutes for food, we realized the system didn't even register our order because the server hadn't "activated" it on her end—despite her telling us to scan it earlier. To make it worse, the staff kept knocking over our empty water jug and just putting it back instead of actually refilling it. The "All You Can Eat" tag is a lie. We are a group of six, yet they refused to bring us more than two tiny dishes of kimchi at a time. When I tried to order more, the older waitress actually sighed at me and told me I couldn't have that much because we'd have leftovers. I’m paying for AYCE—don't tell me how much my group can eat. Every refill took 10+ minutes. To top it off, they forced an 18% gratuity for a group of 4+. The service was non-existent and the attitude from the older lady was terrible. Save your money and go somewhere that actually wants your business.
I came here on my birthday 1/10 around 10:20 pm hours on google stated they close at 12:00am kind of late I get it but it’s not like I showed up at 11:30 . I sit down with my family of 4 and shortly after we get our first order probably 15 minutes after we sat down we are told that last call for the kitchen ( older Asian lady who seated us never told us last call was in Less than 20 minutes had I known I would have went somewhere else no big deal ) needs to be made mind you I’m about to drop 100$+ for this mediocre service they are giving me so I felt a bit bothered and asked what time you close they said 12:00am but last call is usually 11:30 ( In reality 10:30 ) it was not even 11 yet and I mentioned it’s my birthday to the young lady and i felt like I was getting shafted and that I’d like atleast to be compensated or discounted something because we had been to gens bbq,star bbq, red palace cerritos,chubby cattle bbq,gangnam station and had never been treated like this actually the first time in my 26 years here on this earth I ever complained like that at a restaurant. You guys need to update the hours cause there was a few other families being denied when you’re supposed to be open another almost 2 hours and they didn’t look happy . Luckily the gentleman with the blonde hair seemed to have some semblance of customer service and took off the gratuity all in all get it together red castle I manage a business as well and this would NEVER fly . To top it all off we never got the rest of our “last call order” and were kicked out at 11:05 an hour before the stated close time what a mess.
This place have a package plan we got the 26.00 package thr waitress % manager Saud we can only 3 jn the package but there's 3 of us. Each bought a package used to be each one get 3 beef in 10 to 15 min. I asked she said they change the rule. I was shocked. But went it jt anyways. But when we get the bill the a server automatically add tip. Which is optional. My land lord was paying is thats the 1st time she was there. Im so cmschokedn I ts unethical to do that. Tipping is an option. When we talked to the male server he was asking we want it taken out he will take out. ? Wow. He shouldn't be ask it not normal and u ethical to charge a tip . Mind you its 18% tip that he added. .omg were not coming back to this place. Please check your receipt when you eat here. . It got terrible to co.e in this place anymore.
