Hands down, the best Japanese fried chicken I have ever had. Especially love the Yagen Nankotsu (cartilage), crispy and crunchy, great spice flavor, not overpowering. I also ordered the boneless thigh and popcorn chicken, both tasted very delicious, the popcorn was little of the peppery side for young kids.
The best karaage chicken! Fresh, crispy outside and juicy inside, so delicious! Friendly service as well
I came in with high expectations for the chicken based on what I've heard from reviews, and I was still surprised by how good the karaage was. I got the smallest size to try, and each piece of chicken is massive (I think I even got an extra piece). It's made fresh when you order and extremely hot and crispy. It's not overly greasy at all, but very juicy and flavorful, even if you don't get any sauces. I ordered the 5 piece thigh and the total came out to be a little over $8. *full portion not pictured, I ate 2 pieces before taking a picture
Their karaage is the best hands down. I've had karate all across japan and this is the closest in quality and flavor to those. Pricing is good too.
Located in the food court in Gardena Tokyo Central, been getting an order of the Boneless Chicken Thigh Karaage here on the way out after shopping. **Food is made to order so there is a bit of a wait but when you get it its piping hot and crispy and worth it🤙5 stars
This place is amazing with one of the best Karaage chicken around. Kiddo had the karaage rice bowl, wifey & I shared a bowl of tonkatsu ramen with the thicker noodles, and a side order of karaage chicken with sriacha mayo. Our order took a very long time and they made our visit worth everything and gave us their potato salad which ended up being a delish surprise for taking a long time. With that being said they have extremely good service.
Got the A combo. With Shoyu ramen fried chicken and chicken fried rice. I fell in love with this place. And have been back several times since my initial visit. The ramen in the best I have ever had. The fried chicken is the most juiciest ever. My picky 10 year old even loved it. Every time I leave here I leave in a food coma. Completely full and beyond satisfied. The worker’s are always so friendly and polite. It’s a must try.

The shouyu ramen was recommended by the cashier and spicy miso with the side of chili paste to give it a spicier flavor was nice. The broth was excellent on both they gave me chop sticks spoon and forks along with for my baby daughter. If my baby daughter enjoys slurping the broth it says how delicious the broth and ramen was made with alot of love.
This place was good. My son wanted ramen, which was tasty. However, I wish we would have gotten the karaage chicken. It looked really good and it seemed to be the popular choice. Food: My son wanted the miso ramen. He seemed to like it, minus the bean sprouts. Service: the cashier was exceptionally nice and knowledgeable about the menu and popularity of the items. We only asked about the ramen. Atmosphere: it was ok, this location is inside of a store, so it is hard to be judgmental about it as the dinning area is communal with all the other food options. Overall, I would come back and want to try their karaage chicken.
The chicken karaage at Tenkatori is absolutely delicious. Well cooked. So much oil that so much juices coming out! Unfortunately the ramen the wings & the bento are not my favorite dishes to order. Instant but not homemade. Everyone likes the dishes. I feel satisfied in my entire life. The prices has gone up higher since I visited. Cash & cards are accepted at the cashier.
We just like to get the fried chicken there. It's my son's favorite and is gluten-free. The family pack has 10 wings and 10 boneless thighs for 25 bucks and that is a good deal. I mean whole wings not little wing parts. And if you're not into wings, they have the 2.2 lb of the thighs. Thighs something like that which is a great deal. I tend to have to add a little salt to it when I get home. It's great to heat up the next day in a toaster oven right back to its crispiness. We live close to a Popeyes and I will drive over there to get chicken from tenkatori.

My wife and daughter are gluten sensitive and they serve gluten free karaage and it's absolutely delicious! We are from Colorado and will be back. Thank you so much!

The karaage chicken was good, im just missing a dip of some sort. We got the ramen combo with mini karaage bowl that came iwth ?teriyaki sauce and stir fry green beans. The miso ramen had a thick rich broth, that was sweet and peppery --- not a fan. Glad i ordered a lemonade to cut through all the rich flavor of the food.
It took a while to get our order. The Karaage was ok. The oil was ok and it was fresh, but I wish it had more flavor
Tenkatori is a fast food chain from Japan specializing in Japanese style fried chicken called “karaage” (marinated in Japsnese spices and dredged in flour and deep fried). This branch is located in the food court of Marukai forum supermarket in Gardena. We ordered the Karaage set consisting of 5 pieces of chicken, miso soup, potato salad and rice. We go there at 3pm and they didn’t have any steamed rice ready so they offered either an extra piece of chicken, extra salad or extra potato salad so we opted for extra chicken ( 6 pieces in the picture). We also ordered chicken cartilage made “karaage style.” Everything is cooked to order so it’s a little bit of a wait, but worthwhile. The taste of the chicken is delicious and it’s juicy — they fry raw chicken so it’s juicy unlike other places, which pre-fry and reheat/refry. They were already sold out of teba/chicken wings at 3p on a weekday, which was a bit of a surprise and disappointment so overall I’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars. I’ll definitely be back, the chicken is very good and I prefer this place over the other choices in the food court at Marukai market. FYI: If you don’t want to buy bottled water, you can also get their self serve complimentary filtered water from a dispenser — be sure to ask for a paper cup.
The food court inside Tokyo Central. Noodles is pretty good, and the soup is hot too. Can't really ask for much in a food court
The Karaage is tasty but a little bit oily. I also ordered ramen that the chashu and bamboo shoots are flavorful.

Only ordered drinks and one of the better made lemonades I've had. Simple and not over sweetened, but boy did it take a long time! Almost 8 mins, if not more for something I thought was already made and had to have been freshly made, and maybe they can explain this, or that it will be about, x mins... Amazing what they're charging taxes on now for food and drinks...
I had great expectation to it. I ordered original and sweat&spicy. They both taste great, no doubt (hence the two stars) but I found feather on the second piece of chicken. I lost appetite that moment so I took it home to sleep on it (and to eat it as a leftover the next day...). I ended up just tossing the whole thing away because I couldn't get that feather out of my head. Again, I probably was unlucky and it really was tasty and crispy chicken, but I don't think I'll ever return.
The ramen had an off smell and the noodles were gummy like they were over cooked. Pretty disappointing bowl and we did not finish it.

Definitely giving it five stars for the really good karaage chicken. however the ramen we had tasted and smelled awful and unfortunately was completely inedible.

Best fried chicken, hands down. (5 stars)Nuff said… but do not get the spicy miso ramen (minus 4 star). I don’t have a problem with spicy foods, and I’m an avid user of chili oils, tobasco, salsas, etc. but the level of spice added to the ramen, makes it practically inedible. I really wanted it to taste good, and was constantly looking for the silver lining, while forcing myself to endure the burning and choking of the chilies that made contact to my esophagus. I didn’t order this to win a t-shirt or get a photo posted on the wall. I think if the heat was turned down by half it would be perfect. But I think this option for should have come with a warning.
