Brought my family to Mi Gordito after hearing that they had amazing food and we were not disappointed at all! The food is amazing, the service is top tier and if any resturant in Garland should receive any kind of hype it’s this one! The quality of the food is amazing for the price we paid. They treated us so well and we felt very welcomed! We are definitely coming back to enjoy this restaurant again!

First time going to this place and the food was so good! The lady was absolutely amazing she even gave me a few tacos to try them out! Can’t wait to come back and try the machete! Give them a chance is definitely worth it.

I was craving a quesadilla & decided to try this place out ! The service was fast & friendly & the suggestions were perfect. I tried something new & LOVED IT omg I WILL BE Back ! This quesadilla was authentic & made with love!

This place is to die for. Such a sweet family business who truly care about their customers’s experience. We were waited on by the owners daughter Estefany and she gave us the best service. Food wise: it is exactly how it is named. HUGE. SO HUGE. We ordered the gorditas and our favorite was los gorditas de pastor. I ordered 2 and I only could eat 1 and a half. It was so savory and very filling. Def bring your appetite!

Brought the entire team here for lunch to try out new spots in the area and man am I glad we did!! Amazing customer service from the owner of both the store and the restaurant - good selection of food choices but we have to try the Machete!! Got both the Pastor and Fajita and both were not only WAY bigger than we anticipated but both were delicious! Grab a drink from the store and bring your appetite when you visit!

Best tacos I’ve had in a long time. The lady serving our food was the best! Made fresh and wasn’t held and warmed up like other places do. Had perfect amount of meet and flavor. I bought 4 and had to buy 4 more to go!

Solid food, the place was clean, and the service was super great. My husband and I think we found our New Mexican food/taco spot. Since this place’s cooking style reminds us of Mexico and Cali. Food wasn’t greasy or dry. Tasted fresh, well seasoned, and homemade. And our food didn’t take long to arrive at our table. It also was veeery filling. I’m sure everyone has their own tastes, but, personally, it felt as if a Tia made our food. Which was very comforting. And it was to our liking. In a sea of Tex-Mex, bbq, and fast food, this place’s food made me feel back at home. This place is definitely not fast food and is more a la cart, run by a tiny crew.

This place is located inside a store so the atmosphere is a 4, the service however , is amazing & the food was even better. The sopes were delicious and HUGE. I ordered 2 because i was really hungry and only managed to eat 1 & a quarter. The meats had really good, homestyle flavors. The salsas were also good...the habanero & roja were the best.

Y’all. This spot is the spot. Do they take long? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. As soon as you get there, order the machete and then place your order afterwards. The first time we went was a party of 15 and we ordered a little bit of everything And everything got five stars! Ever since then we’ve all been back multiple times and this has been within the last couple of months. It’s fresh, made right in front of you, and the staff is kind and on top of it!

I was going to pass this place up just on how it looked, but honestly glad I stopped inside to try it out. I love tacos, especially coming from south Texas, but the carnitas in these tacos had to be hands down the best carnitas I’ve had in tacos. The green chile hit the spot. I got 2 tacos asada, 1 pastor and 1 carnitas. Carnitas was the best, asada then pastor. Food was cheap compared to most taco places too! I’ve had the other restaurants around the area, they don’t compare, good but not as good as this. Will be coming back!

Came into this hole in the wall today not knowing what to expect & with a few doubts due to the location I thought I had missed the spot but after coming inside I was very surprised. Instantly I was greeted by the friendly staff behind the counter. They were very fast & very attentive to my needs constantly checking how I was & if I needed anything else. Getting to the food, the food was amazing. Had the chilaquiles verdes & they had just the right amount of spice & flavor, then had a machete that was as big as the table! I was warned in advance but had no idea it was really that big! After receiving my food, the friendly staff talked to me a bit more about their start & their journey since acquiring the location & all I can say is that I am so glad that they are here today & that I came & found this place. I will definitely be coming here again soon to try out more dishes from the great cooks. Everything is handmade & has so much flavor, muchisimas gracias Ana y Olivia por su atencion y buena actitud se los agradezco mucho y regresare muy pronto para comer mas de lo que tienen para ofrecer!

They were celebrating a family member birthday (that survived a terrible car accident years ago) and they gave us cake to me and the person who was with me. The food tasted delicious, the carnitas were not greasy at all which highlights the quality of food and the cucumber drink was delicious. I can tell that they provide amazing customer service not only because they are very knowledgeable at what they do. But because they have a love for life and serving other human beings. I highly recommend this place!

Food was delicious, the service was great. They were so kind and friendly. My kids are on the younger side and they were very accommodating to them. The kids loved the food. The salsa was great, the gorditas are huge, the tortas are huge, the tacos delicious. Overall a great experience.

Went for a Cali Style Burrito and was so disappointed. I had seen the reviews, therefore I went here. Whoever wrote those reviews, has never been to Cali.
