I just suggested the Bird & Bottle Inn to a photo client of mine who was going to propose because my wife and I love coming here for special occasions and brunch. The food is always excellent, the drinks great, and the setting just beautiful. Likewise, the couple had an amazing experience staying overnight, and loved using the unique rooms for their engagement photos (she said yes!). The event staff were very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend The Bird & Bottle Inn for anything, from dinner to a weekend stay, to a proposal or a wedding!

Thank you for an amazing birthday dinner right before last weekend's huge snowstorm! The Mac and cheese special should definitely be a permanent menu item! Perfectly cooked steak and those sidewinder potatoes are killer!

My wife and I had our wedding at the The Bird and Bottle Inn and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. It truly was the most special weekend of our lives, and we couldn't have imagined things going more smoothly. The vendors they had recommended did such an incredible job (Maple Field Floral for florals, The Pastry Garden for wedding cake, Peak Event Services for rentals, etc.). The inn itself is so pretty, and the wedding weekend setting was so beautiful, with the ceremony on the grass, the cocktail hour on the back patio, and the reception under the tent, it was all incredible. They had put out champagne in all of the rooms before we had arrived, and it was very clear that they went out of their way to make things special for us. This venue will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we are so thrilled with how everything turned out. 5+/5 stars, couldn't give a higher recommendation!!!

It was an amazing experience with very cozy vibes. We loved all the little details, starting with the warm bread that was so soft and the perfect butter served as a complimentary appetizer, courtesy of the house. We ordered the truffle polenta bites, steak frites, which were delicious, and the short ribs, which were absolutely perfect. On top of the incredible food, everyone there was extremely kind and welcoming and treated us so well from start to finish. It was our first time and we will definitely be coming back.

We dined here on a previous occasion and returned this week to try their Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) menu. While some restaurants scale back portion sizes and quality on their HVRW menus, Bird & Bottle's food was phenomenal! They offered a wide range of carefully prepared appetizers, delicious entrees and fresh made desserts. Service was very attentive and the charm of the old inn can't be beat. Will definitely return!

After a brutal work day, I attended dinner here with my boss and my peer. As soon as I pulled into the property I knew we had found the right place. The grounds are beautiful, and the restaurant offers an elite vintage feel. The decor is beautiful and the staff warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Every plate was a work of culinary art without compromising in taste. We were indecisive of what to order as the menu offered many attractive fares. Our server brought out the head chef, Rob who eloquently explained the menu and offered us a tasting menu instead of the entrees on the menu. He was professional, knowledgeable and his passion for preparing our meal was profound. We agreed to the tasting menu he offered and he did not disappoint! Every plate that came to the table offered individual clean flavors and we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of his culinary tour. I wish I would’ve taken more pictures to share. The only one I have is of the tuna - perfectly prepared! This place and Chef Rob’s culinary gift is not to be missed!

My children took me here for my birthday. With a group of us, we ended up in a private room. Service was impeccable. I had a black sangria which was very good. The crab stuffed oysters were disappointing but the pop overs were excellent. I had the butternut squash risotto which was superb! We shared a bottle of cabernet which was nice. Other entrees were pork chops that my husband enjoyed and my son had the sparerib which he enjoyed. They also had options for a couple vegans in the family. We were so full we only ended the evening with coffee. A totally enjoyable meal.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding at the Bird & Bottle this past October. I was born in Cold Spring and had never been to an event at this venue, but honestly, it was one of the most incredible evenings we could have ever asked for. Our event director, Stefania, was an absolute treat to work with--helping us keep our heads straight with the planning and ensuring everything would be taken care of by their team and communicating with our outside vendors (their referrals are great too!!). I would highly recommend anyone seeking an event venue in the area, especially a catered one, to drop by this beautiful venue. ALSO, THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE. 10/10!!!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated in a corner of the main dining room, which was a cozy spot for two. Our server, Nicholas, was friendly and attentive. Our food was excellent. We stayed overnight at the inn in the John Warren room. The room was charming, comfortable, and clean. We appreciated the complimentary champagne and the continental breakfast on the landing outside our room. While we didn't experience the grounds firsthand (only through the window), the location is lovely. Great atmosphere to enjoy a special day.

Been here 5+ times always great! It’s not inexpensive, so you expect top notch all the way around. On 7/16 we had a disappointing meal. Service was great as always, but pork chop was tough, pal flavorless. There was no browning, which brings the flavor on a pork chop.

The food , service and atmosphere was superb. My wife had a duck special and I had a ribeye. The preparation was perfect and the side dishes were excellent. The only issue I had, was that it had snowed a few days previous and the parking lot was icy.

It's a lovely, historic building, we sat in the cozy library for dinner. Nice wine list, but we thought the food was just okay. Great bread though. ;)

We had been here once before and enjoyed it and were happy to return. The place has a lovely ambiance cozy and welcoming. Our meal was ok. The Brussels sprouts salad was 5 star. I had the salmon over kale and beets and thought it was quite good. My husband ordered the steak special cooked medium rare but had to send it back because it was so rare it practically mooed on his plate. But they fixed it and that was fine. What really disturbed me was that half of the tables were set with full tablecloths looking lovely. But no one dining there had a tablecloth on their table. It made no sense. Saving money on laundry? Really was kind of insulting and because of that I won’t go back. Come on now. Kind of a rookie move

I’ve had good experiences at Bird and Bottle before, which is why I chose it again for a birthday brunch on July 13. This time, though, it fell short. I reserved a 2:15 PM table in the Library but was moved without notice to a louder dining room next to a large party with children who were often up from their seats. It was hard to have a conversation or enjoy the setting. The service also felt rushed. Although we arrived on time, we were asked to place our entire order, including starters and mains, within minutes. When we asked for a little more time, our server said the kitchen was closing soon. For a 2:15 reservation, that seemed unnecessary since brunch runs until 3 PM. The food and drinks were excellent. I emailed the restaurant afterward to share this feedback privately but did not receive a response.
