We discovered it in the area and decided to try it—it was a great choice! All the tapas were delicious, and the waiter was very friendly, making recommendations based on our tastes and hunger (there were four of us). Excellent value for money, fresh, well-prepared products, and very generous portions. Definitely a place we'll return to.
Despite reading some bad reviews, we decided to give it a try because every time we pass by, we see the terrace packed with people. And the truth is, it was a complete success. I asked the waiter for recommendations on tapas, and he got them all right. Especially the stew croquettes, truly marvelous in flavor. A very positive experience that once again proves to me that sometimes it's worth taking a risk. I'll be back.
Dining at Las Palmeras de Gavá was an excellent experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome. The salad I tried was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly dressed. I also enjoyed some delicious breaded cutlets with potatoes and peppers, and a dessert that was the perfect ending to the meal. Great food, great prices, and impeccable service. Highly recommended!
That was awesome, service 10/10, good 10/10, timing 10/10. All amazing thanks so much
Very good in every way, the quality is extraordinary, the service is very good, and the space is fantastic. Highly recommended. Gavà needed a place like this. Today, Saturday, February 4, 2023, I had dinner again with my family and I reaffirm my first experience. Everything was great and the service was fantastic. Heed Mercedes's advice; she's efficiency personified. (WOLL) Today, May 31, 2023, I visited this place again, and as on previous occasions, everything was very good.
A tapas restaurant with a family atmosphere. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. The churros are well-made and crispy on the outside. The anchovies are fresh and flavorful. The torreznos (fried pork belly) are tasty, although they could be a bit crispier. The service is friendly, although it can sometimes be a little slow when it's busy. The atmosphere is informal and pleasant, perfect for going with friends or family. The location is convenient, right on the Rambla. The value for money is good. It's an honest place for unpretentious tapas. Recommended if you're looking for a nearby place for a quick bite.
The food is good. The place is well-designed, and it's in a busy area. What disappointed me was the inability to pay for the menus separately. It's true, they put it inside before you pay, but they should make it very clear, at least let you know beforehand. Next time, we'll each sit at a separate table and then pay.
We've been wanting to go to this place for dinner or lunch for a while. We went for dinner and chose a variety of tapas: Bombas, marinated dogfish, pork shoulder, cuttlefish, and mini goat cheese burgers. And to top it all off, if all that wasn't enough, the gourmet croquettes for dessert. Everything was delicious, the cuttlefish were perfect. We would have preferred more of the pork shoulder with less potatoes, and the mini burgers were delicious. The service was very friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They're fast. And the dessert was a great success. The menu is extensive, allowing you to choose according to your tastes. Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. The terrace is large, as is the interior. We'll be back to try the toasted sandwiches!
After seeing the Christmas lights we decided to stop at this bar since the kids were hungry. We ordered several portions, each one better, the truth is that everything was quite good. The service.....well......we were served by someone with an Argentine accent who was intolerant, everything had to be ordered as you are used to, but you have to understand that there were children at our table, we didn't get up because the kids were in a hurry, otherwise they would give him a lot of trouble. In short, the food was fantastic, tasty and well presented, the service poor.
Very good food. The staff is friendly, efficient, and fast, but the boss, who's never there, doesn't realize he can't leave on a Monday that could be a quiet day with three people, including a chef who has to make drinks, answer the phone, and leave the plates on the tables because one waiter can't take orders, bring plates and drinks, clear the table, and prepare the bill alone, with more than 20 tables outside and all inside. He should be ashamed of himself leaving three people with the entire terrace full and the interior equally full, even on a Monday night! Hats off to the three guys tonight!
The meal started off very well but ended terribly. We began with some ham croquettes (quite good), small open-faced sandwiches (one of them with breaded prawns that clearly had aioli, although it wasn't listed on the menu), eggs with ham… so far, so good. Finally, they brought us a dish (photo attached) of baby squid, which, according to the menu, was Andalusian-style calamari. We left the dish because it wasn't what we had ordered and we told the waiter (NOT TO AVOID PAYING, but because we thought there was a mistake on the menu or that they had served us something we hadn't ordered). Imagine our surprise! The cooks came out saying that what it said on the bag was calamari and that's all it was. They said we were used to a different kind of calamari, of lower quality than what they had. After explaining how Andalusian-style squid is normally served, they spoke to us in a rather rude and, in my opinion, somewhat aggressive tone, so we decided to end the conversation there. It's clear we won't be returning to this place, not even for a beer. Many of the menu items are unavailable, and as I've seen in photos from other Google users, they have had squid at some point, but it doesn't seem fair or logical to charge for baby squid instead of squid, and then have the nerve to insist they were right. My only thanks go to the waiter who served us, a tall man with short, dark hair. It's a shame because it has a great location, but it's no wonder the place is always empty.
